"Even after Centuries later"

☆Prompt: Cloud Retainer and your love story. You're an Adeptus as well.

☆Warnings: Fluff, just fluff.

For as long as you can remember, you've been by Xianyun's side, even when Ganyu was a baby. While she wasn't an expressive person, she did always made sure to show her love to you in ways that only you understood. You're love story with Xianyun was a tale to tell among the people of Liyue. The story of the two Adeptus that loved each other since Liyue was created.

You were the only Adeptus that dwelled among the humans, not only that, you wanted to keep an eye out for Shenhe and Ganyu. When the girls were babies, both of them being babies at separate time, you were the one who always pampered and loved them, and the only Adeptus to understand humans. Though Shenhe was not used to that kind of treatment, she had a different level of respect and love for you.

Since the war, the Adeptus decided to live in the nature, not wanting to dwell the humans but you choose to stay, and live alongside Rex Lapis. Xinayun didn't like that, she couldn't bare the thought of being separated from her beloved partner but she never told you, nor did she express it in anyway, but loving her so long made you understand her even when she wasn't doing anything.

Xianyun was also quite the jealous and overprotective type so when she heard that you've been having lots and lots of attention lately, she had to go down there.

When rumors went around that a beautiful lady came into Liyue, during the Lantern Rite, you had no clue who it was, but Rex Lapis, or Zhongli did, he did not tell you,he waited for that every scene to unfold. You and Ganyu were walking around Liyue, with Shenhe trailing along. The city was peaceful and harmonious, something that the Adeptus fought so hard to achieve and because of you, it was kept that way. They don't call you the 'sustainer of peace' for nothing.

You and Shenhe was accompanying Ganyu to pick up a perfume from Yinger and she had a very strong attraction towards you. "Ah Ms. Y/n, you are looking lovely as the morning sun~" she approached you and held your face.

You smiled and gently removed her hand,"Thank you Ms. Yinger, I'm actually accompanying my dau-I mean friend to pick up something that Lady Ningguang had ordered?"

"Ah yes the perfume. I'm sure that something is going on since she's been ordering so many perfumes lately, but let me get that for you lovelies~"

When she ran off to bag the perfume, Shenhe chuckled, "Well that's five for the morning."

"Master Y/n has been getting alot of attention lately. I wonder what cloud retainer would think if she saw this," Ganyu giggled along with Shenhe, both of them imagining what Xianyun would do.

"Girls,you do have a wild imagination don't you?"

Yinger came back and handed you the perfume. "Well, here you go. It was lovely giving it to you. I do hope you can return the favour," she winked as you walked away.

"That woman..." you sighed.

Ganyu and Shenhe left for the Jade Chamber and you sat down with Zhongli, a sigh escaping your lips. "A rough day friend?"

"Oh dear, don't get me started. Has anything changed about me Zhongli?" He sipped his tea as he hummed.

"You have gotten alot attractive these last few days. I can see why you've been getting this much attention. Don't you like it?"

"I mean... I... I don't know. Its nice and all but every time I smile or say something nice back to someone, I can only see Cloud Retainer. It's like she's watching me from the mountains."

"How long have you seen each other?"

"For almost two years. I've been busy!"

Zhongli's eyes drifted behind you before returning back to you. "Don't you miss her?"

"I do. But I can't go now, she'll sense something is wrong and begin questioning me. You know how inquisitive she can." You sipped your cup of tea.

"One certainly is not inquisitive!" You spat out your tea and let out a scream. Zhongli laughed as you saw a very angry cloud Retainer behind you. She was in her human form.

"C-cl-baby! Hello!"

"Don't baby me. Do you like these attentions that are given to you?" Her arms were folded, and she glared at you.

"I-no! I don't..." As an Adeptus, you weren't afraid of anything. Anything except your wife.

She sighed before relaxing and taking a seat. "Re-Ehem, Zhongli. It's a pleasure to see you again. One was concerned with your well being."

"Xianyun. Its good to see you as well. Y/n here has been missing you quite alot these days."

Xianyun opened one eye and she stared at you. "I doubt she has. With all the attention she's been receiving and accepting, I don't think she misses me one bit."

"My love don't say that."

Zhongli smiled as he watched the two of you bicker back and forth. "Hmmm, just like old times."

The three of you sat down and caught up. Zhongli told Xianyun how the human world is like and to say she wasn't pleased was an understatement but having you by her side will help her to cope. Zhongli bid goodbye to you both as you took Xianyun on a walk and since it was night, Liyue looked even beautiful but nothing could beat the beauty of your wife. "One can feel your intense gaze." She said as she smiled slightly.

You held her hand as the two of you went to Mt. Laixin, using your adeptal powers to get there. "You're beautiful. Keep staying in this form will ya?"

"Ha! So you are implying that my animal form is not beautiful?"

"N-no that's not what I meant! I meant to say that you're beautiful and that this form suits you well. I can even get to kiss you and hold you properly." Xianyun blushed and adjusted her glasses.

"Hmmph! If you insist, I shall remain in this form. I want to settle down in Liyue Harbor for a couple of years. I would like to engage in the human world and their daily activities."

The two of you took a seat on the grass, admiring the big moon. "Well the human life isn't hard once you get to adapt to it. I'll even help you." She nodded as she kept admiring the moon.

"Do you remember our wedding night? That night certainly hasn't left my mind," she chuckled. That night, the two of you showed each other how much you really loved each other. You even used your adeptal powers to give you a male genital to please Xianyun.

"I do. It's one of those nights I'll never forget."

"Since one will be staying here... can we do it again? And this time, let's try for a child." You stared at her with wide eyes.

"H-huh?"

"I know you are not incapable of hearing. I request a child from you."

"Really? I-I... that's-that's great news! I'd be more than happy to have you bear my child!"

You lifted her up and twirled her around as she let out a small squeal. "This is amazing! We can finally have a child! I can't wait! Let's start tonight!"

Before she could protest, you were already on your way home, using your powers you got wings and you held her bridal style as you flew home. Xianyun gently grabbed your face as she admired your features. "I love you y/n," she pressed a kiss to your cheek with a small smile.

"Well I love you even more. Even after centuries, my love for you never faded and it never will."

To Answer The Call | SAGAU one-shot|

A/N: I wrote this one-shot because I wanted to celebrate that I won the 50/50 even though I didn't have it guaranteed so now grandma is home. I also decided to use the Lantern Rite invitation to invite Ga Ming because he's such a sunshine I love him so much. So, I hope you like this.

CW: fem!reader, a little (cough*highly*cough) self indulgent, Zhongli mentioned to be the creator's favorite.

Word count: 899 words

Featuring: Xianyun and Ga Ming

It was no secret that the thing the vision holders wanted the most was to receive the call, from their creator. Aside from the ones that were chosen as starting companions, there were only a few lucky ones that got the chance to receive said calling as it seemed that Her Grace was someone really picky when it came to choosing those that were going to be called to her side. Among all the Liyue vision holders, it seemed that the favorite of Her Grace was none other than the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor Consultant; Mr. Zhongli.

Most believed that it was because of his extensive knowledge of Liyue's history, perhaps Her Grace liked knowledgeable people the most. However, people like the adepti knew that the reason was... something else; Morax was the god of contracts and as such Her Grace found suitable to made a contract with him in order to guarantee that he would answer the call when the time came. Of course, he answered her call half because of the contract and half because he would never dream to ignore his creator.

Some time after that news arrived that the next in answering the call was Miss Keqing, the Yuheng from the Qixing. Almost at the same time news from Fontaine said that the Chief of Justice, Mr. Neuvillette also answered Her Grace's call and even from Mondstadt an astrologist named Mona Megistus also answered said calling. Of course there was more than just them who had already the privilege of answering her call, including the Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing Miss Ningguang and the famous opera performer Miss Yun Jin.

As member of the adepti Cloud Retainer also had the secret wish that maybe some day her creator would call for her, after moving to live among humans and making a new identity she awaited every day. And when the time finally came, she saw it and heard it... the call from her creator so of course she answered immediately and next time she knew she was in front of the Traveler. Though it would be more appropriate to say that she was in front of her, there was no way of mistaking that right golden eye that shined with ancient power. But why was her expression so... surprised? Disappointed? The adeptus couldn't really tell at all.

"Xianyun? Wow... I mean, thank you so much for answering my call. I... I'm actually surprised because I thought that you might have not wanted to answer my call."

How could she not? Nothing could ever be more important than being at her creator's service, she glanced at her and noticed that after saying those words Her Grace smiled at her, it seemed that after all she was pleased with her answering to her call. Of course, as soon as she got within Her Grace's grasp she immediately showered the adeptus with a lot of gifts and also bestowed her with more power. Just like she had done with all of the other acolytes that answered her calling, Her Grace really loved them so deeply. So, the news that Miss Xianyun from Qiaoying Village got called by Her Grace spread out until it reached Yilong Wharf where a certain young man was also wishing that her creator called for him.

Everyone knew his name, Gaming, one of the guards for the Sword and Strongbox Secure Transport Agency. A lively and passionate boy who also loved Wushou Dances, of course as everyone else he wanted to get the chance to be called by Her Grace but he never thought that he would have more than what he expected because he also got to meet her in person. It was no secret that the blond traveler better known as the Hero of Liyue was the creator's vessel, so when he met with them at Liyue Harbor he thought of himself as a really lucky person.

And to his surprise he not only met Her Grace but also she helped him to reconcile with his father, could he be more lucky? Of course he could, because he felt so special when she extend him a letter and it happened it was no ordinary letter because it was actually an invitation to join her. He was so worried that she would never call for him but it turned out that she prepared an invitation for him and only him. He opened the letter and of course, soon he received tons of gifts and even more power.

"Since you weren't answering for my calls I thought that maybe it would be better to give you an invitation in person. That way you wouldn't be able to reject me right?"

She said, her right golden eye shining as bright as the sun. Gaming felt his heart racing like crazy, he wanted to tell her that it was not that he was ignoring her calls but it seemed that they got lost and never reached him but now... Now he was by her side and not only that, he was not going to forget so easily how excited she seemed upon meeting him for the first time or when she said such things like he was "her precious sunny boy", he didn't have any clue what that meant but for some reason it sounded special and it made him feel that way: special.

Xianyun will never forget that day, The day where that 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘤, sorry excuse of a father took her only, small child.

She wished she never met that man, never found him charismatic.. She wished she never fell for his smooth words and his calm, enigmatic smile. After such tragedies she faced, she didn't think that she was capable of being soft again, The only exception being 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 man.

She loved him oh so very dearly, She held him close to her own heart despite knowing just what little time they had together, but he ruined her trust, ruined everything that made them, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮. Broke the thing that made them the duo, the pair that was unbreakable.

"Has one failed to see one's own mistakes..?" The adeptus thought to herself in her now cold, lonely abode. Being stuck with her own unfinished creations and machinery. She turned these thoughts down, after all, she could never be wrong. She was never wrong... She knew that herself.

But now, as years went on, she finally stopped thinking about such thoughts. She didn't need that man, She.. She didn't need her child... Child that was her own flesh and blood, No. No she didn't need them, She had her own priorities, priorities like taking care of her newest disciple, Shuyu. A cute, lovable and smart child that happened to be the granddaughter of the adeptus's stubborn disciple. She needed to let go of the past, else she wants to be eaten inside out by such memories.

Maybe it was her own lack of self awareness which she will never speak of, but Shuyu has unfortunately.. Gone missing, No worries of course, it's not the end of the world, The adepti will just search for her like a parental guardian would.. Yet, she can't help but be reminded of that day- No, Pull yourself together 𝘾𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙧, Let go of the past.

It was never in the adeptus's mind to, Well to lose Shuyu of course. The adeptus was lucky enough to find the little girl sitting on a chair in Third-Round Knockout while listening to whatever tale the storyteller was saying, The adeptus can tell Shuyu stories! With utmost precision and clear vividness of whatever tale she wanted yet here the little girl was, Sitting next to.. A person..?

I mean of course, There was a person sitting next to Shuyu since it is a public space but, Why does the person look so familiar and unfamiliar at the same time? The adeptus shook these thoughts out of her mind, She's here for Shuyu, Not some random person that looks a little bit too identical to her! The hair color and everything, The person had their back turned to face her, It must be those.. Hair changer things from Fontaine that made them have that streak of teal in their hair, Yes of course, It's the only possible explanation for this.

"Oh! Ms. Xianyun, Umm.. I apologize, I may have forgotten to tell you where i was going.." Shuyu spoke with a nervous face, Standing up from her seat as she noticed her mentor coming over. The person next to her seemed to notice what was going on. "Oh? Is this your mom, Shuyu?" Shuyu shook her little head, Xianyun was a bit skeptical on why this person was being so close to Shuyu, They seemed to be a Fontainian Traveler from the clothes they were wearing.

"Ah, No no. This is my mentor, Ms. Xianyun." Shuyu spoke with a smile, careful with her words as to not accidentally reveal that her mentor was quite literally 𝐓𝐡𝐞 Cloud Retainer.

"Ah, Pleasure to meet you Ms. Xianyun, I was just accompanying Shuyu. My name is Y/N, If you'd like, You can accompany Shuyu and I to listen to the storyteller, He's quite amazing." The traveler spoke, Name now known. Perhaps it's the little smile that the stranger put up that suddenly brought back clear and vivid memories to the adeptus, or maybe.. The name, No, No, It couldn't be 𝐡𝐞𝐫 child, It was just not possible. Their name was common, She was bound to meet people with the same name as her missing child's at some point.

She didn't want to get her hopes up. She doesn't want to embarrass herself in front of a foreigner might she add, What if it wasn't them? What if it was just really a stranger? Yet, a thought was clawing at the back of her mind.

"𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮? 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯? 𝘋𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺.. 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥?"

Xianyun looked at the traveler, A look of impassiveness in her face as she sat down on the chair next to Shuyu, Shuyu sat down on her chair again, She looked a bit nervous as to she has never seen this face nor side of her mentor before. "Y/N, May one ask where this name came from?" The disguised adeptus spoke with seriousness, Looking way too intimidating to the passing traveler who only wished to listen to the tales of Liyue.

"Ah.. Well, I'm not sure in the slightest. My father never mentioned where my name came from, Just tales of it perhaps but not the true meaning-" , "And who is your father?" XIanyun spoke up, Cutting off Y/N midway through their sentence. "Is.. Is this an interrogation?" Y/N spoke nervously now, The sudden glare of the woman talking to them made them wish a hole would just swallow them up and take them away from this situation.

The lady seemed to just stare at them blankly, awaiting an answer. Y/N sighed, They never thought this would happen but it's probably best they answer lest they wanted to feel this strangers wrath. "F/N. F/N Howavokiz.. May I ask as to why the interest to my father's name?"

There it was, The name that she had been waiting for. Just why did it have to be 𝐡𝐢𝐦, She wanted nothing more than for this to be a dream, A nightmare that she would soon be awaken from. Despite all odds, She's actually facing her child, child to which she never saw grow up, That itself hurt her to her very core. A child to grow up without a mother, All because of selfishness and greed that she never knew existed inside of that man's brain.

Maybe perhaps.. It was her sudden urge to do something, Anything. What she didn't expect was for her to slap her own child, Hand still in mid-air as she was looking down at 𝐡𝐞𝐫 child. Y/N looked up at 𝐡𝐞𝐫, As if they were looking at a monster, A gasp was the only thing that escaped the adepti as she immediately started apologizing. "I.. I did not mean for-" , "I'll be taking my leave now." The traveler spoke with a blank expression, Standing up from their seat. The adeptus has forgotten that they were in public, Almost everyone was looking at her, And.. And Shuyu was looking at her with a terrified expression.

"No, Please. Wait.." The adeptus could only hope that this was really just a test of the Gods, A test.. Nothing more. Perhaps this was the reason why he truly left 𝐡𝐞𝐫 alone.
