I'm 1 month on T!!

So I've been on testosterone for a whole month now, wooo! Just thought I'd share my experiences in case anyone finds that useful c:

Putting under a cut in case you don't wanna read info about my body lol. Also I'm on half dose for reference.

Week 1

Body odour started smelling different on random days

SO HUNGRY, holy shit

Very very happy, smiling all the time

Week 2

Slightly more physical endurance, not really stronger but could do a physical task a tiny bit easier and longer than before

Already existing facial hair started growing faster, have to shave twice a week now

Shark week, but a very mild and short one, mild cramps and only tiny bit of bleeding the first day

Week 3

Skin became thicker and less elastic, also feels softer now

Voice feels a bit scratchy and can't hit some higher tones with my chest voice if that makes sense. Can sometimes go a tiny bit lower than before, but unsure if that's actually noticable to others.

Small increase in libido and tiny bit of bottom growth

Week 4

My hair feels less soft and a bit more textured

A few new tummy hairs c:

Another shark week, this one as bad as I can get. Horrible cramps and heavy bleeding for a week.

Intense hunger continued throughout the whole month

Aside from mood swings during shark weeks, I feel so balanced and calm now, like my hormones are just so chill compared to before

Okay, so in my opinion Fem y/n is so annoying because I'll be searching for something that has nothing to do with fem y/n and all I get is fem y/n and it really ticks me off. And the fact that fem y/n is always this defenseless and vulnerable girl is so annoying. There's hardly any gn or male reader fanfics of my favorite characters.. There's always ones with fem y/n. And the fanfics.. I swear, it's always incest with fem y/n or there's this huge age gap. It's like fem y/n is the only thing people can write, and I even read a gn fanfic where it wasn't even gn.. The characters were calling the reader princess and the reader was afab.. And at that point it's just fem y/n. And I'm sorry but the way people write fem y/n is just.. Ew. Like no, she's not a 4'5 girl who's weak and needs a big strong man to save her.. And she isn't white with long blonde hair. It's just so annoying.

But also, have you stopped to even wonder why fanfiction largely caters to a female audience? Romance as a whole tends to be eaten right up by women—mostly straight—because men irl don’t even meet the underground bar of basic human decency that they’ve had to lower the standard to. And then people like you come in and ridicule those women, because it must be just so outrageous and unrealistic that a man could ever have it in him to actually make an effort to genuinely love a woman in a way they both understand and are comfortable with. What a stupid idea, right?

I honestly don’t understand what you thought you were going to accomplish with this novel you put in my inbox, and I also don’t understand how you thought anon would hide who you are, @femreader1hater. Get outta here, man. Ain’t you 15 anyway?

my favourite thing about before and after transition photos is the "before" photo feels like emotionally washed out even if the subject is doing the photo smile you can feel the discomfort through the image versus the "after" photo where they look like the sun is shining, birds are singing, the world is so beautiful and it's wonderful to be alive. life is worth living!!! & it's worth living because we get to be transgender. love you all <3 <3 <3

So... have you transitioned from 'I just found out what G/t is' to 'Okay, I might have accidentally joined this community.' ?

I'm curious to hear your thoughts because G/t has so many potential settings, concepts and vibes, that I think tons more people could get into the 'fandom' (actually more of a trope).

But one of the major things driving people away is the mixed association with NSFW/kink stuff. Even the most wholesome G/t fluff feels like something weird I have to hide from friends/family. 😞

Feel free not to answer: but what were your initial impressions about the G/t fandom? How did they change as you learned more?

(first of all, this is like a really good ask-- I appreciate your insight on the matter haha ... what with me accidentally creating Wick's End as a G/T comic and coming into all this as an outsider)

Thank you!! It was a nice read; they did a good job writing. Unfortunately for me, I can't just enjoy media without analyzing it. It was interesting to see how another author wrote a story intentionally as G/T - setting up scenarios ;) and indulging in the element of physical contact as a love language.

While I hesitate to claim membership to any fandom as an identity, yes, I would say I am a G/T enjoyer among you. :) I appreciate how flexible it can be used to express themes like emotions, protection, vulnerability, disability, etc.

I'll admit, I was initially cautious because I did suspect it was a kink-oriented. As time went on, I came to see that G/T makes efforts to separate itself from the perverted sect off in another corner. The genuine feelings of earnestness, wholesomeness, and shared sense of vulnerability is what won me over. I love that understanding and taking care of one another is a foundation within the G/T community. Really, I can't think of the last internet community I came across and thought positively of-- if that means anything haha. That doesn't mean it doesn't have total weirdos too lol. I even lurk in the GTCon Discord VC occasionally while I work on Wick's End as a sort of parallel-play motivator >/////<

The reason I still don't tag Wick's End as G/T is because I don't want people reading this story thinking that was my intention. YES it is G/T, tropes and all, but I did not write it with the intention to indulge in that sort of fantasy. It's meant to be a storytelling aid that illustrates chronic burnout... which otherwise would be an invisible condition. I don't want outsiders to mistake this as written for a kink / community they don't belong to -- and at the same time -- I also don't want G/T community members to misinterpret it as fiction written specifically to entertain the trope.

I hope breaking this up in paragraphs + adding a pic made it less of an eye-sore haha. Thank you for asking such a personalized question!

honestly I just expect and accept that in a bunch of official media, even including the games with Frontiers to a small degree, will have the odd bits of OOC dialogue with Eggman. there are times where I still go "he would not fucking say that" because there's just no way he'd ever actually say and mean such a thing, would ever say it that certain way, would ever actually feel a certain way to say it in the first place, etc

but my priority now is what were they actually going for and does that part work for his character? sure dialogue is very important and adds a lot, I love writing it the most myself and making it feel exactly like what the character would say and how they'd express it. but it's just highly likely for people to get it wrong from time to time and I personally would say that they are really just occasional and small

overall I'm happy with what all the strongest parts of the writing points towards most and revealed intent by the writers, that's what matters to me. I'd like for all the dialogue and scenes to never miss but there will be times where the odd couple of lines shouldn't have been there or could've been rephrased, vocalized and written in a way that was much more in character for him if anything

but again, I'm happy understanding what they're actually going for and what all the strongest writing and main sources point towards the most. for example, I think game Eggman overall is fantastic as ever. I think there's just some flubs here and there as they explore already existing assets of his character in different ways but will settle into it properly over time and gain more solid footing for the better

as for things like takeovers, it's been OOC for characters since the beginning, they've forgotten facts about the games and/or accidentally replaced them as a result, they've even gotten the names of things in games wrong. it's just simple social media fun lol. but I still enjoy them overall because it's not the solid finalized fully stamped and approved published media like the games

the big writers aren't involved, it doesn't go through tons of checks and changes, they're written fast on a time limit often based on how funny they think it'll be. they made Shadow a Taylor Swift fan ffs XD of course a big majority of the fanbase will treat it like canon, most of those don't play or like the games much anyway. it's honestly out of sight out of mind now, really not interested in fandom shenanigans anymore

I couldn't care less about fandom's wild takes and overemphasis on any sides anymore. all I can say is people will find ways to twist and misinterpret literally anything and it's a losing game lol. my blog is just to gush about Eggman, analyze things, share my thoughts, discuss with those who ask in my inbox/replies and then I leave. it's all become much more enjoyable after stepping back from general fandom

and that's what this post is again now, just my two cents as usual. not directed towards any situation or people in particular, just an overall observation of recent fandom from afar as I've taken a step back and where I stand on it based on focusing on the official media alone and avoiding the opinions of random strangers at any chance I get. the way the world is supposed to be but the internet's existence changed lol

I'm really satisfied and at peace with official Eggman and this is how I handle any small occasional OOC moments. I still understand and like what they're going for based on what all the strongest writing and writer commentary points towards. I don't concern myself with what general fandom thinks and if they latch onto the small OOC parts, they don't have the power to influence anything beyond the social media acc

I also tell myself that sometimes writers on official media aren't as insane and obsessed about Eggman like me to the point I remember every line he's ever said and think very hard down to every last word and the inflections and ways it could be interpreted when writing him lol. so yeah chances are at that, they're gonna have him say some things where I feel it should've been different or removed at times

but again, as long as I'm happy with the official media with its strongest parts and especially the game canon media then it's all good with me!

It is so incredible to be able to leave a situation, center and ground myself, and start recovering my energy, mental focus, and peace within minutes to an hour. What other people said or did wasn’t about me, I behaved well myself, I let things roll off as much as possible during the situation, and as soon as it was over I started doing nervous system first aid. What a difference living this way makes. Life is so much more peaceful when you actually protect boundaries, keep perspective, and care for yourself while properly in tune with your needs.

#right now I need slow breathing and Enya #yesterday I needed two hours straight of EDM and jump dancing #and I clocked BOTH of those things so my body and brain are much happier #I could’ve been burnt out and stressed and partly dissociated this weekend #but I’m NOT GONNA BE #and it was that simple. just knowing what to do and checking in with myself #frequently enough to know when I need it.#imagine if I learned how to do this in grade school!!! I’m so happy some kids get to grow up like this #and have the freedom and tools from their caregivers to actually do it right too #that number of kids is increasing every year and in a couple generations it’s gonna be a LOT #we’re so fucking lucky guys #we get to be alive at a real turning point in how humanity views and treats small humans #and how those small humans behave and live when they grow up #the world is going to become so much more beautiful #and it’s already pretty cool despite the unresolved anger and pain most of us currently live with #personal #trauma recovery

so i "did nothing" today of what i had planned (groceries, 'mental health walk') but i also : - did the laundry - put away the dry cloth of the previous laundry run - waxed (which i wanted to do yesterday so i'm glad i did it now) - practiced my instrument (twas not great as it was a bit mindless, but i finally found the source of one recent sound problem) - washed my hair - did a little callisthenics - downloaded some songs to begin making a collection - learned that even if i'm not feeling it, putting the right song WILL give me the energy necessary to do the thing. i do not need to want to hear the sound for it to work.

so even if i didn't do a "specific activity" outside i still did things and that's good !

#3615 my life #this post comes from the fact that i always 'ruin / waste' my holidays by doing 'nothing'#when i want to do 'things'#and i'm beginning to see/add nuances to what is things and nothings and what feels like doing or not doing #it was sunny today (as much as it can be lately.) and in general i'm dog holding it's leash about it #and if i don't go out i feel like i shot myself in the foot and is doubly sad #but i thought about it and actually didn't want to go truly it was not uuuh i saw it again lately. it was not demand avoidance #because it's fucking wimdy and i hate the wind and behinf outside in the cold wind #so actually i was much happier home #day did not happen how i planned it but in the end i don't feel like i fucked it up. i did things that made me feel good #and or will help me later #and i shouldn't ask too much of myself. like for cleaning : one thing a day is already great ! all in it's time.#that's how the brain learn it's not a chore and is able to do it more readily and agreeably the next time
