Okay, so everyone is all cursed cat Alastor *hates* Vox...but what if It absolutely ADORES Vox? What if it's just like Alastor's Shadow, and it holds ALL of the emotions Alastor won't show? So it's ALL over Vox? Vox can't get a moment alone, cursed cat!Alastor is ALWAYS with him. Following him, loving on him. Only allows Vox to pet him...attacks regular Alastor when he attacks Vox, actually *defeating him.* (Alastor hates that Cat. And is ridiculously jealous.)

it gets a tad long so ill leave it under the cut. it is mostly word vomit but . you know.. hopefully u guys enjoy :)
"We should really consider just putting the poor thing out of its misery," Alastor shoots a glare at the curled up lump on the carpet, its foaming mouth bound with rope, even as it chews furiously at its restraints. "Why, if we didn't, we would be violating our own 'no pets' policy!"
"Alastor..." Charlie frowns at her hotelier, before chancing a hesitant glance back at the creature. "Look, no one's perfect, right? Can't we try giving the cat a chance, at least?"
The other residents in the room- Angel, Husk, Vaggie, and even Lucifer himself- all give her blank eyed stares, Angel and Husk in particular rolling up their sleeves to show off the long, deep gouges in their arms.
"Charlie, honey, I think I speak for everyone here when I say you should just let Alastor get rid of it," Vaggie grimaces. "I know you love animals and all, but that- *thing* isn't safe to be around."
"What? Come on, it's sweet!" Charlie turns around, her back to the creature as she motions to it, completely unawares of the furry animal finally chewing through the final bit of rope as it lunges for her, much to the horror of the other hotel inhabitants.
An hour later, Alastor finds himself and his shadow traversing the streets of Pentagram City with the creature held securely in his shadow's grip. "Hmm... so, then, where should we dispose of this little pest? Ah, I have an idea."
He snaps his fingers and in a moment, reappears in a cloud of black, smokey shadow- right in front of the Vee's tower. With a swift motion to his shadow attendant, his doppelganger releases the cat-like creature from its claws, the feral little creature immediately charging the doors of the tower once it's let free. Alastor barely manages to hold back a snort before he once more steps back into the shadows- tomorrow, he'd check back again and see how it was going for Vox. With any luck, the results would be entertaining.
Vox gets the notification in the middle of a meeting. It takes merely the wave of his hand to dismiss the investors and step out, rolling his eyes as he prepares to deal with Val or Vel's shit again for the twentieth time today.
"What is it now...?" He frowns down at his phone, before noticing his assistant's contact on the phone. "Dei? What is it? Did something happen to Lis?"
"Uh, no, it's not anything like that, Sir," the aquatic sinner responds nervously. "Though, um... well, we have a little bit of an emergency, kind of. Not... really, since it's mostly under control now, but we lost a few employees in the scuffle--"
"Just tell me what happened," Vox heaves a long suffering sigh as he presses a claw to his screen, ready to send out apology gift baskets to HR again.
"Um. Well, there is a... Populis calls it a cat, but I'm quite sure it's not any sort of 'typical' animal at all, especially since it has antlers and a monocle... anyway. There's this... *creature* just kind of running around on the main floor, and it took out about five workers before Baxter managed to subdue it."
Vox blinks once, then twice, and then sighs again. "I swear to fucking God- okay, go and contact HR so they can get you all tested for rabies or whatever the fuck it is down in Hell, and I'll come to deal with the fucking cat thing."
"Yes, sir," Dei replies dutifully before the line goes dead. Vox groans before schooling himself and his expression and disappearing into a flash and electric current, teleporting all the way down to the first floor of the Vee's tower.
"S-sir!" Papermint comes running toward him first, looking worried. "Um... so, uh, when Dei went to get the cat creature, it sort of attacked him too--"
"For fucks sake, do none of you know how to do your job properly?" Vox pinches his screen again, thoroughly done. It was fucking Tuesday and he was already hoping for the end of the week. Get rich and famous, they told you. It'll be fun, they told you. Fun his fucking ass-- he has to spend his morning sitting through investment meetings and now, having to deal with a rabid Hell animal and the fact that it was mowing down his workers like some sort of demented lawnmower. Fucking great, just what he needed.
He stomps into the main hallway with the little eel sinner trailing awkwardly behind him, eyes widening in surprise as he takes in the scene before him.
On the ground, his main assistants Dei and Populis grapple with a tiny red animal.
It... looks somewhat like a cat, if a cat had an unholy union with whatever kind of deer Alastor was. And it also had a monocle, and was foaming at the mouth (yeah, definitely rabies), while his tech administrator Baxter stood to the side and watched with a bucketful of popcorn in hand. Logi, possibly the only normal sinner he had under his employment, was trying her damnednest to pull the cat- who, by the way, was winning the fight with BOTH his assistants- off of Dei, whose ear was currently in its mouth.
"I really need a drink," Vox groans before he rolls his sleeves up and walks forwards into the fray, the air around him crackling with static electricity as he intends to separate the fighters, whether with force or not- but to his surprise, he doesn't need to use any force at all.
Instead, when the little cat creature sees him, its eyes light up before it lets go of Dei's ear, the manta ray sinner letting out a groan of relief before collapsing onto the floor, the other assistants rushing to help him up. The cat, on the other hand, leaps up at Vox, who instinctively catches it in his arms. It purrs as it rubs against him, seemingly no longer hostile towards any of the other sinners in the room.
Vox stares down at the cat. It stares up at him, then grins.
It's... kind of cute, actually. In a really weird, freaky way.
"Uh... boss?" Baxter raises an eyebrow as he looks at the cat held securely in Vox's arms, then at the gaggle of sinners trying to make sure that Dei doesn't bleed out. "You gonna help, or...?"
Vox rolls his eyes before he sends a bolt of electricity over at the sinner and burns the bite, effectively cauterizing and closing the wound. "I'll have HR deal with it and get Dei a week's worth of paid recovery. Any more than that and I'm not covering it. You guys just get back to work after the cleanup crew comes, got it?"
He sighs down at the creature in his arms as he walks out of the main lobby, frowning to himself. "What am I going to do with you...? I've got a fitting with Dorian later, and he's *definitely* not gonna allow you in... and what the hell do you even eat, anyway? Better not be my workers- and oh dear god, I've got Vark, too, I can't believe I forgot about him-"
Still, even as he grumbles to himself, Vox can't help but recognize the truth: no matter what difficulties this little shit brings him, he's definitely keeping it.
A week's worth of time passes before Alastor finally finds some free time to go off and take a look at how his *esteemed* rival has been doing. He's half expecting half the Entertainment District to be destroyed by the time he returns, but there's nothing of the sort. In fact, business seems to be going about as usual... but then again, this may be one more of the TV demon's methods of avoidance. Vox *was* always a good actor, after all-- even if his own life was falling apart, he would never let that show.
So with that reassurance settled in himself, Alastor decides to take a risky move and get in closer range to his target- he slips into the shadows surrounding the crowd of reporters gathering around the ground floor of the Vee's Tower, clamouring for the chance to see the Media Overlord in the flesh.
Strangely, they all seem more chatty today-- Alastor didn't recall any sort of holiday being today, so it seemed that there was more information to be heard... and *that* was surprising, the revelation that something interesting may have happened while he was gone. Was it perhaps because of the hellspawn he'd dropped off a week earlier?
His question is answered not even a moment later, when Vox steps out of the doors, a confident grin on his face and a small, hissing red creature draped around his neck like a scarf.
Alastor's eye twitches.
Did he *keep* the damned thing? And why the *fuck* was he absentmindedly petting its fucking ears?! *That should have been him!*

What IS wheel of doom. What happens to them..
It's my take on a redemption round! After every main bracket round, we cut to the Wheel of Doom, where the losers are randomly assigned an opponent. If you win your round, you move on to the next. If you lose your round, you are permanently eliminated. The ending prize for the last loser standing is a slot in the Finals, against the 2 Semifinals winners

Why does Checl’s romance decrease whenever we choose options which lead to flirting, like saying she just wants to get her hands on us or asking if that’s embarrassment we see? Is it a bug or does she not like it when we do that? If it’s the later then how do we increase the romance?

Just like Superstition, just like ToA, just like this game, minus points is literally just another route. Romance is still romance you just get different traits. And no, one trait is not better than another. Checl positive is her just being sheltered and having a positive outlook and following her dreams, Checl negative is her being more confident and hardened but she's no longer all sunshine. See, one isn't better than the other.
This is on par with that "my gender is *insert here* but people keep referring to me as "insert pronoun* Like, I don't know what else you want me to tell you besides you didn't read and the words Choose Pronouns didn't strike you to tap.

Hey, just found out about you and think this sounds really interesting. I was just wondering though, why only two female routes? While I'm grateful they're there, it just seems extremely uneven with 4 male (Should I include Envy? Because that makes it 5 instead) so I was wondering what the though process is behind that.
Hey there anon! 💜 Thank you for your question!
The thought process is nothing else than "marketability", which may sound awful, but it is what it is.
"Otome" or romance visual novel players are generally attracted to male or male presenting characters; it's the wide majority of the audience. I have rarely seen any female love interest in games made by the huge "otome" companies, as "otome" means a female MC surrounded by male LIs. (We of course are excluding wlw / yuri visual novels here.)
There's a lot of indie games that have the same uneveness when it comes to the cast, and in our case it merely has to do with this being our first game and wanting it to appeal to the vast majority of potential players, while still making some things "our way". We didn't want to have a male-only cast (which is completely fine, that is what an otome is), and of course things could be more balanced, but having seven characters for our first game is already a risk we took.
I could say that no, there's no real motive behind the 2 vs "5", but the truth is there is. The majority are more interested in men / male presenting characters. If you check our favorite character poll, Ara and Raeya are way behind the others.
If I remember correctly, even The Arcana (which may be one of the most successful indie amare / romance visual novels of all times) had trouble with Portia's route as the audience was not as interested in her as they were on the male LIs.
There obviously are people interested in female LIs (me and my team included), but truth is they don't thrive as much as the male / male presenting in the kind of game we are making, which is sad, but it's a reality nonetheless.
I'm sure this is not the answer you wanted, anon, but it is the most honest we can give. That being said, there's a lot of creators out there and games full of interesting, well-written female love interests, and we hope we can be counted as one of them when the time comes! 💜

Here's a simple spell I like to use that incorporates both physical and inner beauty:
You'll need:
💖 (Small) mirror
💖 A pink or red candle - Pink resembles self-love and beauty, whereas red symbolises a more passionate love as well as quick action. You can also use a white (pure) candle charged with your intention.
💖 Rose petals or rose oil - symbolising self-love.
💖 Your favorite moisturiser or face cream.
💖 (Optional) Rose Quartz - symbolising beauty and self-love.
Begin by lighting the candle and placing it next to the mirror. Take a few deep breaths and focus on positive thoughts about yourself and your inner beauty. Then, using the rose petals or rose oil, anoint the mirror with the symbol of a heart. While you do this, visualize the love and positivity you have for yourself radiating outwards. Finally, use your moisturizer or face cream to gently massage your face, focusing on the parts you love most about yourself. As you do this, say a positive affirmation about your inner and outer beauty. Use this affirmation or make your own:
"As I feel my skin,
I call upon my beauty and my power.
With the (rose quartz) as my guide,
I radiate confidence and love.
May my inner beauty shine through,
And my outer beauty reflect my truth.
So mote it be."
After you do this, you can also sit for a few minutes holding the item of relevance to you such as a rose quartz crystal in your hand and focus on your intention to enhance your beauty and feel confident in your own skin.
I would always recommend leaving the candle to burn all the way (this consolidates your spell to completion). However, if it is a very large candle or you cannot leave it out to burn safely, that’s alright - when you're ready, pinch out the candle (this pauses your spell until you want to relight the candle and ‘continue’ it, as opposed to blowing out candles which effectively cancels it out).
You can additionally carry the rose quartz (or other item used) with you throughout the day as a reminder of your beauty and power 🌹✨
Remember, true beauty comes from within, and it's important to practice self-love and acceptance. Use this spell as a way to enhance your natural beauty and boost your confidence, but always remember that you are beautiful just the way you are.

My next game release should be Reanimation Scheme, a commercial ($29.99-ish) fantasy otome visual novel! It was actually supposed to be my studio's debut project, but I ran into development issues that delayed the schedule a lot 🥹 But the game should be completed and ready for release later this year!

I should warn you though that the style of RS is pretty different from Emberfate and is a lot closer to "traditional" otome visual novels. The MC is a defined character of her own with flaws and anti-heroine traits, and it's a lot more plot-heavy and less choice-heavy compared to Emberfate. So the style of writing is rather different as well.
I do also have other projects lined up for development after Reanimation Scheme is released, but I won't be making public announcements until then (so around late 2023 maybe) as I haven't started working on the scripts yet, so many details are still up in the air. Quite a lot, but a lot of them never get any love from me so idk if I should count them.
So roughly between 40 and 100

I've currently got 6 mains again. Which are Nebulae/Devlin, Belphie, Ichi, Cove, Qiu and Kaoru. I used to have Shion as a main as well, but I demoted him since I don't think about him as much anymore.
I started this blog when I only had Kaoru as a main. And slowly as interests shifted and rekindled the others came to occupy a big part of my love too.
For the main amongst my mains, that would be Nebu, since he's an oc fo and I feel like nobody could ever replace him.
7 - how did you meet them?
Meta answer: sort of:
Kaoru was while I was in middle school somewhere, I think. I was generally into romcoms already and this one was just, amazing to watch. I soon read the manga for it too and just absolutely fell in love with Kaoru (I also really loved twin characters so that was a win too). Belphie was during the moment the game just released, I was getting so many ads for it and upon seeing Belphie I just knew I had to play it. Nebu came to me in a dream. Qiu is because I played Cove's game and they are in the new game fron the same series and I finally caved and downloaded the beta. Cove, I don't remember how I stumbled upon the game, probably in a moment I was really into visual novels and wanted to see if steam had any free ones. Ichi I started to only fall for recently as well in consideration to how long I've been in the fandom, my favs changed quite often for them.
In universe: some of these are just the game's introduction
Kaoru: in middle school, when we accidentally talked to each other, I've known them from preschool but never interacted before now
Cove: as a child, he was the new neighbour and escaped from parental supervision so we had to go find him too (in poly au, my uncle introduced me to the neighbourhood kids when I came to live with him)
Qiu: as a child, I was the new neighbour and was exploring the neighbourhood and stumbled into their garden (this is the same in the poly au, just different circumstances, here my aunt introduced me)
Ichi: I've seen him around but never talked to him before that one fatefull rainy day when I noticed he didn't have an umbrella with him and went to offer up mine
Nebu: Officially met him during my last year in high school, but he was already an observor to my life from elementary school
Belphie: Got summoned to the Devildom and snuck up the stairs to the attic after getting Luci distracted (this stays the same in the double mc au)

best and funniest reasons you've gotten?
Well, somebody submitted Floofty Fizzlebean really early on for reasons of "Kris did not give them a fair chance," there was someone who's reasoning for their character (forgot who specifically) was "source: i am them" which is honestly very fair, and also just "Please." on a Papyrus nomination, as if there was any chance at all that he wouldn't make it onto the bracket.
In terms of the best reasons though I have to give a round of applause to every person who linked to a whole essay they wrote (or even a powerpoint presentation) about their character. As i said earlier I don't have enough time to read through all of these but I think these people are still deserving of individual appreciation.

Will you guys be doing TMP as well?
Well, this blog's daily TMA relisten was done quite a bit after tma was fully over.
In order to do an episode a day for TMAGP it would need to be fully completed and that won't be anytime soon.

As an asexual person who's uncomfortable with explicit sex scenes but a sucker for romance, I love that you give us the option to skip sex scenes without punishing us! I'm so looking forward to this game! Love you devs, I hope you all are doing well, are healthy and happy and laugh lots everyday! 💜
I'm so so happy to read you, anon! 💜 It is very important for us to offer a mature and sex-positive experience, while also keeping in mind those of you who would rather not engage with that kind of content. More than a "reward" (for a lack of a better word), sex in Lost in Limbo is an integral part of the story that is meant to make the player feel good!
If anyone is curious about how this is going to work with a bit more detail, all the LIs (minus Amon: explanation here!) will have at least one sex scene, but there's also a non-sexual equivalent to that scene. The LIs will check for the MCs consent one way or another before the scene can take place, and you as the player will be able to choose if you want to proceed with the sexual scene, or play the non-sexual equivalent.
As the writer, I'm determined to make them both equally satisfying to play through and meaningful to the relationship/character development, so those of you who don't want to engage with that kind of content don't feel like you are missing out anything!

Absolutely! While there is some overlap between the two, there are also some key differences. Witchcraft is a broad term that refers to the practice of magic, spell-casting, and other forms of divination. It can be practiced by people of any religion or belief system.
Wicca, on the other hand, is a specific religion that was founded in the mid-20th century by Gerald Gardner. It is a nature-based religion that honors a god and goddess and emphasizes personal responsibility, ritual, and magic. So not all witches are Wiccans, and not all Wiccans are witches ✨
