an au where after light died, he wakes up in his 17 year old body again. but he isn’t at home, he’s at wammy’s house. he woke up in an alternate reality where his parents died of a car crash he ended up in wammy’s. he’s at the top of the school, and he’s friends with matt linda and near. his first day there, he’s obviously very confused but kinda just assumes he’s either dreaming or dead. after finding out that he’s very much alive, he makes it his goal to get close to L, because he regretted L’s death in his last life and missed him (can be either for platonic or romantic reasons!!)

au where light wakes up in his old bedroom after he died. he checks the date and it’sa few days before he ever found the death note. what would he do differently this time?

Wedy teaches Matsuda how to fall off a balcony in style

Transfem Light: Realising why he's uninterested in women after he's won them. *He* doesn't want to be with a beautiful woman, *she* wants to be one of them. I'd love to see this set in the Successor arc with Light already a police officer. Perhaps she only realises after her father dies and the pressure of being a Perfect Son for him is finally lifted?

Don't be a coward, give me an L/Soichiro story. Perhaps L is being too unsubtle with his flirting? Perhaps Soichiro's watching too hard as L ties cherry-stems with his tongue?

Make sexist Light mad: imagine the entrance exam arc with female/femme-presenting L

Roleswap: As Misa holds Sakura TV hostage, Sachiko realises her sick husband will try to stop Kira's tapes being shown. So she grabs his gun, steals a truck and heads off to get those tape back herself!
