The good thing about both Erin and Don being in the military is that skill with repairing appliances and equipment saves them TONS of simoleans in needing to hire a repair man.
With this being the last day of her maternity leave, Erin makes sure to spend time with Oakes as she didn't want her son thinking that his parents had both abandoned him, though it might be more Erin having trouble readjusting to having to go back to work but she is also ready to start working towards having a promotion so that she could continue working towards giving her family a better life without putting all the weight for their family on Don's shoulders, especially since they were both in the military career.
After work Don made his way down to the local beach to relax, meeting a young man named Jared Frio, striking up a conversation.
Completely relaxed at the beach, Don takes a nap.
The calming sounds of the waves gently hitting the sandy beach, gulls calling in the air, the warm breeze against his face is a reminder that Sunset Valley is a beautiful place that encourages sims to simply stop and enjoy the world around them for a moment.
While her husband was relaxing at the beach Erin decided she needed to have a girls night out with her bestfriend LaShawn Stringer and catch a movie together. Erin had spent a majority of her maternity at home with the baby and so it was a nice change of pace to use her last night of maternity leave to relax and spend some time just having fun.
The first day back to work, and the first day of his promotion, two Squad Leader's make their way into the base. Erin knowing that she was going to earn her promotion today, especially considering she had been promised it before she had to take her maternity leave. Don is incredibly proud of his wife and is honored to take her position as she was about to leave it for an even higher ranking position. With them working similar schedules it keeps a stable routine down for their family without both parents having to have their son on a rotating schedule.
After earning a raise with her promotion to Flight Officer, Erin decides that she wants to pick up the guitar skill as it was something fun and that it was something Erin could do that had nothing to do with her career and the skills that she needed for it. Plus, who can say no to a good jam?

LotusClan: Generation 1
Silkstar
Formerly known as Silktwist. He’s a long-furred dark gray mackerel tabby tom, and the mentor of Shiningtuft. He's the son of Lilyflower and Leapmist. They were both loyal to Goldenstar, and thus were exiled by Smokestar due to that loyalty. He also mentored Lilackite and Minnowstripe. He lost two lives from falling from a tree and failing to interpret a warning from StarClan, and then he lost the remaining lives after being killed in a fire.
Silkstar is a very altruistic cat, and he's the best friend of Spiketuft.
Spiketuft
A long-furred white trans tom, he’s Silkstar’s best friend and his first deputy. He's an ambitious she-cat, but would never betray LotusClan. Mates with Strikeheart. He stepped down after reaching old age, and was killed while protecting apprentices from a snake.
Floodlilac
A medium-furred pale gray rosetted tom. He’s a mediator and the adoptive father of Doekit, Minnowstripe, and Wheatspeckle. He died from greencough.
Strikeheart
A medium-furred light brown tortie she-cat. Mates with Spiketuft. She was the mentor of Raccoontooth. She died of greencough alongside Spotjay.
Guststar
A long-furred brown agouti she-cat. She’s the mentor of Shiningtuft. She mentored Sneezefeather. She was Silkstar’s second deputy. Guststar is the mate of Cloverpeak and mother of Raccoontooth, Snappelt, Applecall, Spotjay, Sedgeswoop, Pouncesight, Halfpeak, Echoburr, Larksight, Mothtail, Whisperriver, Serpentstripe, and Drizzledapple. She was Silkstar’s second deputy, and succeeded him after he died.
Shiningtuft
A short-furred dark ginger torbie and white she-cat. She's the apprentice of Silkstar and mate of Rosemaryfur. She’s also the mother of Flintfall, Beaverheart, Beamleap, and Grasscrawl. She mentored Smokesplash, Grasscrawl, and Flowerwhisker. She died from yellowcough alongside Starlingkit.
Rosemaryfur
A long-furred gray mackerel tabby and white tom. He's the apprentice of Guststar and mate of Shiningtuft. He was the mentor of Snappelt, Jumplight, and Goldfur. He is also father to Flintfall, Beaverheart, Beamleap, Grasscrawl, and Flowerwhisker. He was Guststar’s first deputy. He died in a fire after saving Mistlebreeze.
Cloverpeak
A short-furred dark ginger marbled tabby and white tom. He's Smokestar's son, joining the new-found Clan after following them on what he thought was an "adventure". He mentored Tigerpounce and Beaverheart after Tallfern died. He also mentored Sandbright. He’s the mate of Guststar and father of Raccoontooth, Snappelt, Applecall, Spotjay, Sedgeswoop, Pouncesight, Halfpeak, Echoburr, Larksight, Mothtail, Whisperriver, Serpentstripe, and Drizzledapple. He was killed in the battle against Beamleap’s rogues.
Cocoakite
A short-furred light brown rosetted tom. A former kittypet who joined the Clan while Silkstar and Rosemarytuft were on patrol. She later died from greencough.
Duskheart
A medium-furred gray and white she-cat. Formerly a kittypet named Little One, she joined the Clan. She’s the adoptive mother of Lilackite, Tulipfur, Tigerpounce, Apricotclaw, and Sneezefeather. She later wandered away from the Clan, and was found dead.
Egretwing
A medium-furred golden she-cat. Originally a rogue named Egret, she joined the Clan. Once Floodlilac realized he was better off as a mediator, Egretwing stepped up to take his place. She’s mentored Applecall. She was killed when a bought of greencough hit the camp.
Tallfern
A long-furred black ticked tabby tom. Originally a rogue named Tall, he joined the Clan. He mentored Flintfall, Perchtooth, and Beaverheart. He died by being washed out into the sea.

What do you like about Marie and Jordan individually and what do you like about them as a pair?

For Marie, I just love her so much. First of all, I am always happy to see a black girl lead in any kind of diverse, non-stereotypical, non-sassy-side character role like this.
But I also appreciated how realistic she was. Like, I understood almost every choice she made. I saw people get mad at her at the start for not always doing the altruistic, "right thing", but for most people, self-preservation comes first. She didn't owe those other characters anything (especially after how they treated her) and I loved that she had a back bone and would actually talk back to people. But at her core, she is still a good person despite everything that has happened to her and still chooses not to be corrupted by Vought's influence once she understands the true material cost.
For Jordan, they're just such a nuanced character. One, I always have a soft-spot for the Lancer character archetype. The highly capable, second best, who can never quite out-do the main character (e.i. bakugo, reki (from sk8), Ron from HP (fuck jkr, but no other examples are coming to me atm)), and Jordan is just that. Like, yeah, they were kind of a bitch at the start, but it's so clear that they are secretly a softie and the world and their experiences have forced them to have a tough shell. Also, their powers as an allegory for gender identity, yes, it's on the nose (although, as someone who grew up reading 90s/2000s manga like Ranma 1/2, not that unheard of), but I think the show handled questions of their identity really well.
And finally for Limoreau...
idk where to start. tbh, as someone who has been hyper fixating on characters and ships since high school, I never really have a clear explanation of why I ship the characters I do. I either like it or I don't. But Limoreau is such a pleasant surprise because the chemistry was there from the start, but it felt like one of those queer dynamics that the writers would be too scared to pursue (think Arthur/merlin or Gojo/Geto). I think the fact that our MAIN PAIRING is a queer, interracial couple with no white people, shouldn't be as revolutionary as it is in 2023, but it is! I hope this is a positive direction for on-screen storytelling.
But also everyone loves a classic "enemies to lovers" (yes, I know they're not EtL in the true sense, but I consider Rivals-to-lovers as a subset of EtL, so I'm using it as an umbrella term). I think the reason people like EtL dynamics (Especially in het pairings) is that there is always an underlying respect beneath the "hatred". Like, to see someone as a threat, you have to see them as at least an equal.
It was clear from the start that Marie and Jordan were more alike than different and it was Vought and the corrupt nature of Godolkin pushing them to compete. They're both lonely in different ways, and I love the idea of them finding acceptance and a home with each other (Also all three actors are extremely attractive and have great chemistry, so that never hurts).
Do I wish their relationship had been paced out a bit more? Yes. But that was my issue with all of Gen V. I think the whole show would have benefitted from 12 eps, instead of 8, because development was needed in most areas.
I also just want to note, for all the people saying their relationship "came out of nowhere", I truly feel that if Marie looked like Erin Moriarty and Jordan looked like Chace Crawford, most people would have clocked the romance from the beginning, jus saying...

froot and veggi vs emil: picture this. you’re a pop duo of twin greek sisters with more plastic surgery procedures than years of your life and suddenly a washed up frail chainsmoker tells you that you’re untalented. he then proceeds to have a coked up hissy fit about how you and your sister suck and that back in his day pop music was good. amongst all his ranting you just watch and from being silent you automatically win the fight that he made up for no reason

cole’s ex: a girl cole used to date in high school before he met jubilee and who is now a model. her name is gia. jubilee gets extremely jealous of gia when she sees cole interacting with her. so jealous in fact that she goes on kidder and bashes her for appearance basically no good reason.
beauty pageants: erin grew up being in multiple beauty pageants. though she never won any. her standards of beauty was shaped through her experience as a pageant girl…
camila: erin and emil’s cousin from their dad side. she’s not very nice to her cousins (nor her parents, uncle, aunt, and grandparents, for that matter) but she still expects them to be there for her when she “needs” it
erased lesbianism: referring to erin getting the lesbian card revoked
yoohoo bunny: a little white bunny mascot that can be found as toys, clothes, bags, pillows, and so much more. emil and bambi love yoohoo bunny

lost music: the earliest music emil and neo made together is completely lost and the idea of it ever being found is very slim

motorg!rl: an online alias created by neo where he can pretend to be a cute anime girl producing music. he has a league of devoted fans who have no clue who is actually behind the music. if you looked his persona on google images you will get…interested results
jubilee gets drugged: there’s a moment during 2017 mybeauty where they all go drinking and jubilee (who never drank a day in her life and lowkey got pressured by cole to do it) gets drugged. she falsely accuses cole of doing it out of paranoia
drunk meltdown in france: neo gets REALLY fucked up in france + has a fight with dondre and ends up going live on the motorg!rl channel. he reveals his identity and calls all his fans “gross porn addicts”. he then cries for the rest of the live until passing out with the camera still on. this destroyed his online persona immediately

“i wish i was born a girl” truth or dare: one night the gang is all together hanging out playing truth or dare (but like the one that is a physical game where you get like a truth or dare prompt on the card) and buggie gets a truth card directed at neo that reads “what is your biggest hot take” and everyone is expecting neo to say something silly but neo is already pissed at buggie for something earlierso he hits them with “i wish i was born a girl.” which causes everyone to go “….🥚?” but then neo goes on about how being a woman is easier than being a man and how women don’t seem to understand the privilege they have above guys. it’s basically him generalizing the experience of all women and comparing it to his unique experience as a man and most of it was just neo being bitchy about something buggie said earlier. tldr neo has a misogyny moment because a clown girl pissed him off.
jubilee’s doppleganger friend group: jubilee has a seperate group of friends that can basically be described as off brand mybeauty. their names are emiliano (mili), neya, aaron, and chelsea (cricket). mybeauty meets them and finds them to be very…offputting
medical abuse: referring to medical abuse both neo and emil faced. mainly involving mental health services.
why cole’s dad is in prison (csa tw): he made cp. he would sell stuff with other kids but never uploaded or shared anything with cole included, however, he did take gross pictures without cole’s knowledge back when he had custody. the police raided his house when cole admitted to his 3rd grade teacher that his dad assaulted him just a day prior. cole’s dad also abused his older sister judy before abandoning her, cece, and his ex-wife, but he never laid a finger on cece. cece feels guilt about it constantly

dondre’s mom cause of death: murdered by his abusive stepdad. in a blind rage dondre grabbed his stepdad’s gun and shot him too. thankfully, he wasnt sentenced/charged due to it being deemed self defense. the memory of that day haunts him forever.
charlene is anti vax:
emil sex tape: i think the name makes it sound like he and neo made a sex tape kim k style but it refers to when emil used to make porn while he was homeless because he had no other form of income. a lot of people found these videos years later and used it to harrass him
neo dated his music teacher (csa/grooming): neo would call it dating but i personalllllyyyyyyyy would just call it grooming. he started doing things with his music teacher after school (some sexual some not) in exchange for good grades (he would’ve been a A+ student in that class without it but his teacher tricked him into thinking that he would fail if they weren’t together). their relationship offically ended when the teacher got fired for something completely unrelated. to this day neo refuses to see it as grooming since he wasn’t “forced” into anything. neo look at me you are a VICTIM.

Don and Erin enjoy a relaxing game of chess together. It's a good way of spending time together in the few moment's of quiet peace when all the children are asleep and discuss how their day went and things that they want to do around the house that needed to be done. Chess can be used to help plan tactics too, especially in a pretend 'war' and it's the only kind of war Don ever wants to be in.
Erin gave birth to twin boys this time, a young son named Oberon greets the world with a curious gaze and causing his mom's heart to melt even more.
And their other son is named Obert. Don and Erin both agree that they have reached their limit of children with a total of 9 children. Though even with that many children they consider themselves blessed, if being a little stressed but working together makes it a little better...they hope.
Oakes doesn't really pay attention to his younger siblings, being more fascinated with building things with his play blocks or drawing. There is a lot of responsibility waiting for him once he is older but it's not something he really needs to be concerned about, as a toddler the only things important is learning the world around him and having the love of both his parents. Oakes does sometimes look through the bars into the cradles of one of his siblings, not believing he was ever that small...or loud.
Don is enjoying the rank of Top Gun, knowing he is absolutely close to finally completing his dream and becoming an astronaut and sometimes he find's it hard to believe he had started from nothing and is now near the top!
On one of his days off Don strikes up a conversation with Molly Frio, sharing cooking tips with each other. Don taking this time to learn a new recipe and becomes eager to try making it for his family.
Don takes a small side gig of helping training people at the gym for extra cash. Jack Bunch hires Don for his services and Don makes sure to push Jack to his limits so that he could improve himself and become a healthier man.
Through raising his children, working hard and taking some side gigs to bring in more money, Don makes sure to spend time with his oldest son too. Oakes having a strong bond with his parents gives him a strong foundation for when he is older to know that he could come to them in moments of uncertainty and confusion. Don is proud of his son and finds him incredibly precious with how he learns the world around him and listening to the stories Oakes loves to tell either of his parents.
Oakley is now a toddler and has the Neurotic and Heavy Sleeper traits. He looks more like his dad compared to his older brother but now the world is a little bit bigger and he is able to explore and begin to better understand his world, from the safety of his parents embrace if he ever gets scared.
Oakley is immediately drawn to the xylophone, enjoying the tinging sound it makes when the mallet strikes the brightly colored keys. The sound of the music is comforting and fascinates the small toddler and he giggles with excitement as he continues to plink away on the keys, not making anything that could be called music but is well on the way of beginning to learn and appreciate music, perhaps he will be a musician when he is older? Only time will tell what is Oakley's future.
Don begins the steps of teaching Oakley to walk, much like he had when Oakes was still learning.

Anyone want to hear about my episode ideas for my fan companion (and secret zygon), Erin? No? Well your getting them! :D
Episode 1: Bats in the Belfry aka, "That is not a fucking bat"
We are introduced to Erin as she drives up to a property. This property is in the north east of England, and is a kinda crumbling, old country house/estate. It has recently been bought by a new family, and they want to do it up (as much as they can since something like this is probably listed lol) or even like perhaps it's a new property that has come into the hands of the NHS. Either way, the owners are having a bat survey done. Enter Erin, a 29 year old Ecologist.
There are hints or even scenes, building up tensions as the audience but not the characters can see that these possible bats... that ain't a bat. Erin decides, as per surveying thingy I need to research more, to come back at night/dusk when the bats are more active as there is stuff that suggests bat activity, but haven't been able to see anything since it's daytime and bats are nocturnal.
On return, hyjinks! Or rather more scary than simply hyjinks, but the adventure begins. Enter, Doctor. Why is he here? Plot reasons, that's what. Perhaps he's been tracking these things - that to absolutely no doctor who fan's surprise, are not bats, but actually aliens.
Plot. Ending. She's gonna travel and be a companion, tada! I know that didn't sound that interesting, but I've got a lot of thoughts I can't really express on mini scenes and visuals and relationships between how the characters interact that I can't put in writing, frustratingly. Just know that there's a vibe.
Episode xyz: The one where a bird gets stuck in the TARDIS
I'm surprised this hasn't happened before - or perhaps it has, and we just haven't seen it. This episode takes place for the majority, just inside the TARDIS. Unless I'm wrong, we haven't had a tardis as the setting episode since... Series 7? It's time to bring that back, with a low stakes episode.
Most people know the frustration of trying to get some animal, be it bird, insect or even something else, out of your house. And that animal like, never, wants to go out the way it came, it's like it wants to bang into the wall or window instead of the wide open door. Now imagine your house is an infinite complex of tunnels and rooms, stretching on for ever and ever and ever and ever... and ever... and ever....
Yup, that's the tardis, and there's a frightened animal, earth or otherwise, that we need to get out. Perhaps add possible tension by it damaging wiring or getting into places it really shouldn't, or the TARDIS ain't happy about all that jazz. Watch Erin and the Doctor bond as they hyjinks inside the TARDIS, and we get to see some rooms, and mechanics, and dimension-breaking stuff that we haven't seen before.
I've also got ideas for a two parter - somewhere in the second half of the series, possibly even like last two episodes. Not really anything about the big bad or whatever arc the series has, but about The Reveal.
And also the flashback and montage cold open at the start of the second episode of said two parter - Mwah! Chefs kiss! What I've got in my head I adore, each little scene and interaction, character building, little threads and stuff. The big bad ain't important, nooo it's this stuff it's delicious and I ship my own characters so damn much, but like... not in a straight up romantic way? It's complicated. They're alien. They're simultaneously Tudors, Millenials and Gen Alpha all at the same time. They're in love. But is it romantic love like humans have? Do zygons have a concept of romance? Idk but Rahul and Erin are soooo cute and I love them even though I made both of them up in my head.
