Join the new cowboys who ride Krang Hounds and a Krangfied train as they try to survive against Krang.

✭ Believe Me (I'm Warning You): Things turned out differently with the last fight against the Shredder. The Hamatos and Cassandra Jones never became friends. However, in the future a boy named Casey Jones Jr. is tasked to stop the Krang by Leonardo Hamato. How can he convince them, when no one believes him?

Now it is about how the twins change roles for fun but things go bad, and how Mikey wishes to be freed from Draxum's lab, and how Raph and April accidentally discover the Hidden City and three turtle mutants.

✭ The Mummy inspired Kendratello (crack) AU: What the title says. Nothing serious, I just think it would be silly thinking them in situations like in the movie.

A Former Future

A One-Shot about the Bad Future Timeline in my AU

TW: Character death, Violence, Wounds, Y'know all the Bad Future Timeline angst

It was not supposed to be like this.

The world is supposed to be bright and filled with color, with rains that fell and didn't burn anything.

Kiddo looked out across the landscape, the jagged things she believed used to be buildings. She looked at her small communicator on her wrist. It was her first mission out, just a simple scavenging mission to find any metals or food. Sure, the colony could grow food, but there are the rare finds sometimes.

She bolted past a group of Kraang dogs, nearly falling in the process but catching herself on time. She saw something shiny, but then-

"Kiddo? Kiddo, do you copy? I kept saying that it's time for you to return-"

Oh, the voice of her dad, the genius of the colony. Donatello Hamato. She rolled her eyes as she turned and began walking back to the base, creeping around. "Dad, you know I can protect myself."

"I do know that, but I also know what the Kraang could do to you. I know this is your first mission, but you have already been out for four hours!"

....Oops. "Sorry, dad, just got... busy with grabbing things and also possibly trying to imagine what the world looked like according to the books." She heard a sigh from the other side of the receiver, but noticed it sounded closer than normal. She turned her head and practically jumped out of her shell at the sight of her father. She chuckled a bit, and followed him back to the colony, safe and sound...

....Was what should've happened.

Kiddo rolled her eyes. She kept going on her scavenging trip, ignoring her dad's pleas, as she got to a building that was sort of standing. Walking into the building, she failed to hear the creaking until too late.

Pain shot through her, staring with her shell to the rest of her body. She didn't even have the time to scream.

She pulled herself weakly from the rubble, before letting out a small cry of pain as she fell onto her side. She weakly lifted her arm, "Dad...?" Her voice was shaking, barely above a whisper. "I don't.... think I'll be at Casey's birthday..."

She couldn't feel her legs or her tail, and when she looked up she spotted a Kraang... thing. With the growing red eye. She didn't know what it was, she was losing too much blood... Until there was no more her, and no more blood.

-

Donatello stood in his lab, his eyes wide with tears forming. "No no no no no no no-" He ran over to a screen that showed the vitals of everyone. He stared as the line went from weak bumps to suddenly nothing. Crumpling to his knees, he began crying. He never knew how to deal with loss, and he was only just recovering from losing Raph, of losing his big brother, and still recovering from losing Splinter. He turned his head to the sound of the lab doors opening, and he saw Leonardo and Casey jr. Leo got this look on his face, a sad look, as he told Casey something. Donnie couldn't quite hear it, his mind focusing on the communication channel that once was filled with hums and random mumbles...

I randomly remembered about Terminator Genisys and immediately thought “what if I did the part of John Connor being evil but it’s future Leo”. Because I just can. Which is why I named this AU that.

(Words in drawing):

-Last earthling alive.

-prime Krang kept him alive as a ‘congratulations’ for being the strongest on the planet.

-he is half-krangifed and switches in and out of consciousness due to lack of early loyalty.

-Leo was there when the other two krangs died. He is being used as their replacement.

-will he go back to the past?

Bonus info:

-it’s been 3-4 years since Casey left. He barely survived that blast.

-he now holds the ideal of ‘only the strongest prevails’.

-he has half his consciousness due to prime Krang only wanting to have conversations at times. Eventually Leo will begin to enjoy his constant battles as well.

-they have left Earth to conquer new planets. They have kept the weird tradition of keeping the last alive to join their small, growing platoon. Probably since Leo has made Krang a bit more sentimental than he should be.

-(I don’t know how he goes into past with Krang just yet) He will help Krang stop Casey from closing portal/reopen it as Krang made a deal with him to return his dead brothers.

Rewind and Restore is, as previously mentioned in the results for the poll, a Mikey Centric AU.

In this AU, Mikey fails to save Leo with his portal during the events of the movie and even just attempting to do so costs both his other brothers' lives as well. He watches both Raph and Donnie fade to glowing mystic particles right before turning back and seeing the Kraang dragging Leo away from a quickly closing portal. He looses his brothers.

From that point Mikey spirals. He returns back to their half destroyed lair, getting confronted by both Casey Jr and Splinter on the whereabouts of his brothers but he can't say anything.

April sees this, feels that something is wrong and asks the others to give Mikey some space, causing the orange turtle to spiral even further. Thinking he's a source of misfortune, that April was going to be next simply for being his older sister.

And so he runs away, locks himself in his room, looking around it and seeing things that remind him of his brothers. Truly now realising that he will never see them again. Never get to make more memories with them. All because of him.

He didn't know how he'd tell the others. Sure they may have already assumed what happened but they needed the truth. Needed to know what had happened and why Mikey returned home all alone. Returned alone to a home that felt so empty now without his brothers there.

He leaves a note in the lair explaining everything that happened before locking himself away again. Splinter tried to knock on his room's door, tried to talk to his only remaining son but Mikey wouldn't respond. Casey tried to talk to him too. And April.

None of them got a response.

Or not until one day, a few weeks after the Incident, Mikey burst out his room and into the living room (now fixed up the best they could) with a scream.

"CALL DRAXUM. NOW!"

They didn't move for a moment, too busy taking in the pale, red eyed turtle. Or at least until the young turtle in question yelled at them again to call for Draxum before swiftly retreating back into his room, not a peep afterward and a slam of the door behind him.

Of course they called Draxum (despite Splinter's initial protests), it must be important if Mikey finally left his room for it, even if only for a moment.

Without giving too much more away, Rewind and Restore is an AU where Mikey travels back to the start or the movie after loosing his brothers.

But he doesn't succeed on the first rewind. He doesn't even think it's works, thinks it's a dream. Because, different to how future!Mikey sent Casey Jr to the past in the movie, present Mikey can't achieve that amount of mystic magic. The reason he thinks it's a dream is cause he thought he died even attempting to open the time portal.

While he did technically die(felt it and everything, the feeling of his body being tore apart and his spirit being seperated from it), he managed to send his soul to the past. The only downside of this is that, when he needs to rewind again (which he will have to multiple times in this AU), the bare minimum amount of time it takes to gain the mystic strength to create another portal is after the events of the movie take place.

I already have multiple 'Retries' planned out and trust me when I say Mikey won't know true peace for a while :]

Oh man, I have... so many. I tend to make aus for anything I get super invested in so my notes app is littered with fic ideas I may or may not ever return to. Not to mention the multiple original works that have floated around in my brain for years.

But for Rise specific ones? Also a lot. There's a telepath!Mikey concept that I couldn't figure out a plot for, a Casey Jones centric fic about he and Draxum bonding over both being soldiers and not knowing how to adjust to normal life, a story where Leo gets stuck in the prison dimension and accidentally bonds with the Kraang, one where all the future turtles go to the past, a fantasy au, a Draxum raises the turtles au, a separated au, a college au, a villain au, etc, etc, etc.

The main issue at this point is that I already have like four stories that I've actively started telling, and I don't want to spread myself too thin. Giant Mutant Toddler Turtles and I'm Not Dead Yet get neglected enough as it is lol. So at least at this point, I probably won't share any of those unless I get specifically asked about them. I might make a poll at some point to gauge interest and post an infodump about the winning one though lol.

GoLV- A group of vigilantes: Luci is polyamorous and in love with the following: Lotus Blossom, Koya, Yumana Usagi (a version of Yuichi), Casey Jones, and April O Neil. And Lucifer's brothers try to get her to come back to the team.

WLG?- Where'd Leo go? (2012) A mess where Leo and Yumana end up in Yuichi Usagi's universe.

Slugterra

Shadow Slugger- when Eli is 2, Will gets into the Duel that will send him into the future, and Burpy goes with him. He is sent five years into the future. When Eli was 3 His guardian takes him to slugterra to search for Eli's dad, they encounter Dr Blakk's men and Eli hasn't been seen since.

Elias Thorne- Will is transported to wherever he was earlier on, and Eli comes down earlier on, not having made the 'has to be 15-years-old' promise yet. Eli tried to help but gets traumatized and raised by a pizza maker and a racer. Billy is Eli's partner in crime, and jokingly suggested he change his name to sound serious and make his last name Thorne as he was a thorn in Dr. Blakk's side.

Percy Jackson

WBGPoRP- What's better? Ghost Percy or Roman Percy? Instead of Bianca going into Talos, Percy does, and he follows Nic around for a year trying to shoo Minos away from the kid and disappears after BOTL. Nico doesn't visit camp Jupiter very often, it's just to visit hazel who he still found, searching for Percy, and either He finds Percy or Bianca does.

BvS-KvA. Body versus Mind or Kronos versus Achlys- (Aka I haven't read MOA or anything past it and somehow grew attached to Achlys, so I made Achlys Percy's aunt figure) based on a post where Percy falls into Tartarus and his soul gets pushed out of his body by Kronos, who takes his body. And the wandering soul meets the goddess of Poison. And she immediately adopts him

RMA- Red Madder Archer: Kai is basically Oliver queen, pre pilots by years. He was going to Chen's Island for work but the ship went exploded, five years later Hes back but with no signs of fire.

The family member who changed the most in this world is not the one Jason had in mind.

Sog - Swan of gold: Mr. Gold of storybrooke adopts an eleven year old girl named Emma.

Platinum Protector/Silver Sentry - Hunter and Luz swap. Darius finds out Belos has a child (1 yr old Hunter) and immediately nabs him and runs to Eda. Hunter ends up in the human realm with the Nocedas, and one year later, Luz is born. Luz goes to the demon realm at nine, and a few years later, Hunter returns to the Demon realm out of curiosity.

Some headcanons (or I guess canon facts in this au, lol)

Before Donnie went to the future, he had convinced his father to let him go to the same human school as April. While he didn't have more than one class with April, he did make a group of friends. Jarid, Marcus, Lucy, and Robbie.

Robbie and Donnie were dating when the Kraang invasion had started in the bad timeline, and had been for almost five months.

Donnie's biologically a female spiny soft shell (he uses he/they pronouns, but doesn't come out with the they/them pronouns until about a year into the bad timeline) and had laid eggs about a week before he went to the future. It takes him a few hours before it finally sets in that he's in the future and can't get to his eggs. It completely freaks him out.

When Donnie first disappeared, he was about 5'3, when he returns with Casey, he's well over 8 ft tall, surpassing past Raph in height (much to Raph's displeasure).

While Donnie's gone, Robbie, Leo, and Splinter the eggs' main caretaker. The eggs hatch about a week before Donnie returns. There's four of them in total, which Donnie had told Leo the names he was thinking (Tyler, Sophie, August, and Galileo).

For the first two weeks that Donnie returned, Mikey would not let go of Donnie for anything other than for bathroom breaks. At night, he and Casey would pile onto Donnie's stomach.

Casey had no fucking clue how to handle the new world around him. He's always, always ready for a fight. The first time he saw a cat didn't end well...

Can you describe everyone's personality? (Casey, April, and Splinter included) Also, how did the guys meet Casey and April, and what were their initial reactions to each other?

Loaded question there, my dude. Gonna hide this under a cut since this is gonna get long. F for all the mobile users. This is gonna be very long! Even without this intro it got to 1460 words.

Leo's dependable and loyal. He's the kind of person you can definitely rely on. He's also very reserved. He doesn't like burdening people with anything he's dealing with. He feels he needs to remain strong and seem like he's got it all together in order to be an effective leader. No one buys that for a second, but it's hard for them to get him to open up. If he talks about his problems with anyone, it's with Donnie. He's definitely a fun guy to be around, though, but be careful about making puns around him. He's not exactly a fan of them (he's in for a shock when he meets other versions of him). Sometimes he can go non-verbal, but he usually likes to be alone during those times. He does quite a bit of echolalia, mostly with Star Trek quotes. He thinks they're motivational. Everyone else thinks he's a dork.

Donnie's a very kind person and does anything he can to help, even if his help isn't necessary. Other times he's very sarcastic and a deadpan snarker. He can seem kinda rude if you don't know him well. He doesn't get metaphors (but will try to make them anyway) and really needs people to be clear in order for him to get things. Surprisingly, he's the one making puns all the time. He loves to make people laugh. He's really hopeful for the future and wants to go to the surface normally, without secrecy and fear. He can get pretty paranoid and nervous about things because of his anxiety. He overthinks things a lot, but sometimes that's a benefit. He goes non-verbal rather often, but he makes up for that by being a good listener to anyone who needs someone to just vent to. He can definitely get a temper, though. His fuse is slightly longer than Raph's and he immediately regrets anything mean he impulsively says during a meltdown. When irritated (typically from people bothering him while he's working in the lab) he hisses and yells at them to get out of his lab. Donnie is not someone to piss off, as he's the one who controls the wifi.

Raph can come off as very aggressive and he doesn't have the most positive disposition... but he's mostly just got a grumpy expression and neutral mood by default. He's kinda chill, but is very prone to meltdowns and does not take well to insults. He can get cocky and taunts a lot, but it's all in good fun. Unless he's taunting an enemy, in which case he's actually hurling insults. He definitely has some anger issues, but he's doing his best to work through that and take out his anger on training dummies instead of people. When he says he'd kill for his friends and family... he might not be entirely exaggerating/joking. He gets really excited about his special interests and can talk for hours about it. If whoever he's talking to frequently tunes him out he'll talk less and less about it until he just stops talking about it with them, which puts a dampener on his mood when hanging out with said person. Thankfully, he has his brothers to talk to. However, he doesn't like talking about his emotions. He won't say why, but it's likely because he wants to appear tough.

Mikey is fun-loving and generally happy at all times. Not much gets to him, but if he's ever upset his brothers will not hesitate to hunt down whoever's the reason behind that (they try their best to not be that reason). He's very eccentric and not even his brothers understand his line of reasoning sometimes. He's pretty much free to do what he wants without fear of judgment, which is primarily why he's as carefree as he is. But he's still a skilled ninja, despite appearances and demeanor and he can totally kick just as much butt as the others, maybe even more since he's rather unpredictable. If you want a mood boost, he's your guy. He loves making things, especially artsy things, but also, unfortunately, food experiments. Don't try those, no matter how strong you think your stomach is. He doesn't seem too openly bothered when his brothers warn people about them.

April is wacky, goofy, and here for a good time, not a long time. She'll kick your butt and look good doing it. She's pretty cool and can be pretty reckless at times. She gets along with pretty much everyone. She also tends to get into a lot of trouble, especially since she likes snooping around places. She's a ninja-in-training, not an official ninja, but that doesn't stop her. Thankfully, she has the guys to back her up. She gets along with Donnie the best and they're really good friends. Despite all of this, she definitely takes no shit when people are acting like fools. She wants to be a hero, she wants to do good and make people's lives better. She hopes her training will help her achieve that.

If you look up reckless in the dictionary, you'll see Casey. He's definitely up there in impulsivity and falling off of rooftops is a common occurrence. However, he's superhumanly lucky, so he survives every time. If only that could counteract turtle luck. He's a force of nature, he's chaotic good, he's gonna bash in as many skulls as necessary to keep the city safe. He's good friends with all of the turtles, Raph and Donnie especially. He's ride or die and while he can be a bit brash, he's a good kid at heart. He just wants to do the right thing and the way he knows how is by being a vigilante. He doesn't listen to orders, usually, unless he really respects the person and thinks they're making a good call.

Splinter didn't expect to become the father of four turtle mutants. He didn't even expect to become a mutant himself. 15 years ago, things changed in the span of a few months. He's trying his best and he's very supportive, though he doesn't know what his sons are talking about most of the time. He is very secretive, reserved, and protective. He thinks distancing himself from the past and not telling anyone about it will be for the best. He wants to protect his family, which is the main reason why he's been keeping them away from the surface. He gets very nervous when they go on patrol, always worried they won't return. He's trained them as much as he can, he only hopes it'll be enough.

And now for the turtles meeting Casey and April! I know usually series just show that, but we're going pre-established for this one.

The turtles first went to the surface a few times when they were about 5 years old. This was just before their training and they were definitely not stealthy. This caught the attention of a certain 6 year old who was surprised to see four turtles climb out of a manhole in the alleyway right outside his window. This 6 year old was Casey Jones. After a few nights of observing them and making excuses to make sure people don't go there and see them, he eventually goes to talk to them and they all hit it off right away. Of course, it's at this point where Casey's mom comes out to investigate... and it doesn't go super badly. His family's seen weirder, though it's difficult to explain just what's meant by that. Since then, the Hamato family has been invited to the Jones' apartment frequently and they stay there during the winters since the lair doesn't have good enough heating when the temperatures become freezing and below. (This is inspired by @fire-fira's AU, which you can check out over here [x] [x] and you should totally check out jhur other TMNT stuff!)

When the turtles were 10, they decided to take a break on a rooftop. It was a few blocks away from Casey's place, they were having a good time, maybe getting a bit loud... and that's a human. Another 10 year old, a young black girl who surprisingly didn't scream when she saw them. Her name? April. She was and still is bright-eyed. She didn't tell her dad, she figured he wouldn't understand. Not like he's told her much. She's been very good friends with all of them and is typically the one to bring pizza. Speaking of, the nearest birthday the turtles had, she got all of them this group necklace with pizza slice charms, six slices that come together to make one big pizza. It's her most valued possession and wears it all the time. Donnie's the only other person who frequently wears his.

I said it on Twitter and I’ll say it here too.

Imagine a bunch of F!Leos (this includes OMO, MNMC, WMAS, AMW, T&E, DMD, etc) in a single room in a PTA meeting kind of setting and they’re discussing their respective kids.

Like one F!Leo asks, “Why did your kid bite my kid’s finger?”

And the other answers just to spite them, “Why is your kid’s finger in between my kid’s teeth?”

Or they start discussing why their kids are better than the others’ kids. And chaos ensues.

Meanwhile the kids in question are at the kids table just sharing the different ways their respective F!Leo traumatized them.

Idk I just can’t stop thinking about a bunch of F!Leo crossovers aka the Peepaw Multiverse like it’d be so silly/funny

(A)PAF: Sibling moment between Casey Jr and his little sister

At this point I should admit I have no self control… anyways, another family fluff snippet that has very minor spoilers to the main story but honestly doesn’t spoil the plot.

Leonardo takes a sip of his tea in the kitchen, staring blankly straight ahead. He’s grateful for this moment of peace and quiet, especially after Lou’s crying that lasted all throughout the night. He was thankful Donnie, temporarily, soundproofed his train car because her crying would have kept everyone awake. He would rather deal with a crying baby than with the others’ sleep-deprived fury.

He knew parenting wasn’t easy, he had some experience with CJ. But he’s starting from scratch, so to speak. He only had to take care of CJ as a baby in short increments. Now he has to take care of a baby 24/7.

And just as he was about to take his next sip, Lou’s haunting cries echoed from his open train car. Sharp and nearly ear-piercing, it taunts him and his heavy eyelids.

With a sigh, he takes his mug and follows the sound of her crying. Each step he takes it gets louder, and louder, and louder. If he didn’t know better, he would have thought she was pulling out microphones and megaphones for each step he took.

He steps onto the threshold and her crying suddenly stops.

Fear erupts in his chest and he braces the doorway to push him forward, but stops dead in his tracks when his eyes land on CJ sitting on his bed.

The teen is sitting pretzel style on the blankets, the back of a small green head barely visible in the gap of CJ’s legs.

His son is smiling wide, clicking tongs in his hands as his head bops side to side. The tongs click click click in his hands to the rhythm of the familiar song he sings to Lou.

“Tong tong tong tong, pakitong-kitong. Alimango sa dagat, malaki at masarap! Kay hirap hulihin, sapagkat nagangagat!”

CJ pinches Lou’s cheeks lightly at the final part of the song before kissing her diamond stripe. Lou giggles delightfully, her sharp chirps bouncing off the walls. She closes and opens her hands just like the tongs and trying to mimic the words CJ sings, but her little beak only opens and closes with small chirp sounds.

CJ takes a deep breath and sings slightly faster, clicking the tongs to match the faster rhythm, “Tang tang tang tang, pakatang-katang. Alamanga sa dagat, malaka at masarap! Kay harap halahan, sapagkat nangangagat!”

The teen pinches Lou’s cheeks again, earning those same sharp giggles that melt Leonardo’s heart. Tiny green hands reach up to pinch CJ’s face, opening and closing like a little crab. CJ shakes his head softly, a soft coo to his voice as he says, “Not me, Lou!”

CJ takes another big breath, dramatic and puffing out his chest as he does, but Lou suddenly chirps. It’s not a chirp of distress, but one that catches CJ’s attention and stops him.

Lou’s hands suddenly reach blindly behind her, closing and opening like a crab again.

“I’ve been found,” Leonardo teases and walks into the room.

“Sensei! I didn’t know you were there,” CJ greets and lifts Lou enough to stand in the gap of his crossed legs.

Lou chirps happily, tiny hands still grabbing the air like a crab in Leonardo’s direction. She coughs and suddenly yells in the smallest voice, “Da!”

Leonardo nods and takes her from CJ’s lap, lifting her into his arms and to rest in the crook of his elbow. She mimics CJ’s tongs clicking and head bopping, trying to sound out the words but they only come out as chirps and churrs.

She finishes the song by pinching Leonardo’s cheeks, a small effort that makes the father nearly collapse on his bed from how adorable her fingers felt. “Good job, Louie! You’re a little crab that bites,” he exclaims as he kisses her diamond stripe.

(A)PAF: Father-Daughter moment between F!Leo and his tot

Umm… minor spoilers if you haven’t seen my past (A)PAF posts (honestly it doesn’t spoil the main story/plot) but I couldn’t help myself :D I was in a mood (/pos)

Leonardo yawns as he exits his train car, nonchalantly searching for little Lou. She wasn’t in bed when he woke up, and there were no signs that she was hiding anywhere in their room. So, before he panics, he decides to search the lair in hopes of finding her.

“Lou? Where are you?” He calls out to the lair, hoping to catch even a chirp of excitement or the tiniest, muffled giggle.

“She’s over here!” Mikey calls out from the direction of the stairs.

“What is she doing upstairs?” He asks as he takes the stairs two by two, skipping the final steps to the top and jumping up. He rounds the corner and finds Mikey laying on the ground in front of an open sketchbook and a packet of crayons. In front of Mikey is Lou, lying on her stomach and her tiny fist gripping a crayon. Her entire arm moves quickly, scratching the tip of her crayon on her paper like she was recording the most important information.

Leonardo steps over and stops to crouch next to Lou and watch as she scribbles a thick layer of green crayon. He taps her shell once and asks, “What are you drawing, Lou-Boo?”

Lou suddenly pounces for a blue crayon, nearly hissing at Leonardo’s hand that got too close to it, then returns to her coloring.

Leonardo raises a brow and looks at Mikey for answers, but the box turtle is barely keeping it together, trying to stop from laughing out loud. It makes the elder slider roll his eyes and opt for lying down on the floor and grabbing a piece of scrap paper and a black crayon.

The slider draws the lines for a game of Tic Tac Toe before pushing it to Mikey as he asks, “Are you drawing yourself, Louie?”

Lou growls low, a petite sound that is nowhere near threatening, but enough to show she wasn’t pleased with Leonardo’s question.

The slider nods and mumbles to himself, “Okay, it’s not Lou.” He takes the paper back from Mikey after a small orange X is drawn in the middle square. He hums aloud and draws an O in the upper left corner then asks, “Is it Leo?”

A sharp hiss from Lou.

Leonardo stifles his laughter and passes the paper back to Mikey. “Come on, Leo’s not that bad. He didn’t mean to trick you.”

The little turtle huffs and pouts as she continues to scribble on her page, crinkling the corner as she glares at her artwork.

Leonardo smiles, a fond curl of the corners of his mouth and pure adoration dripping from his eyes unbeknownst to him. He reaches over to pat her head and tap her diamond stripe before handing her a new blue crayon. “Is it Papa?”

The corner of her mouth twitches for a brief second before her pout returns and she leans in closer to her paper, nearly pressing her beak into it. A soft churr rumbles from her chest but she doesn’t deny it.

Leonardo sets the blue crayon beside her paper and she pounces on it before shuffling back in place.

Mikey pushes the Tic Tac Toe paper back but before Leonardo can even attempt to reach for it, Lou pounces for the paper and shoves it into her mouth.

“Lou!” Mikey and Leonardo exclaim and lunge for the little turtle.

Lou shuffles backward before turning and making a run for the stairs.

Mikey and Leonardo scramble to their feet, slipping on crayons and loose papers. Leonardo braces Mikey’s head as he lunges for the stairs, yelling after his daughter, “Lou! Spit that out!”

Leonardo stumbles down a few steps, accidentally sliding down a few more before he finally rolls to the bottom. At the bottom he sees Lou running toward the kitchen, a mischievous grin on her face as she chews faster and faster.

“Lou Hamato!” Leonardo calls out and nabs a broken piece of the stairs’ handrail—more like breaks off a piece that is rusting away. With a flip of the broken metal, it transforms into his familiar blue katana and opens a portal before disintegrating the temporary form. He jumps through to find Lou trying to hide in a half-empty box and jumps to snatch her.

“You little—,” Leonardo teases before interrupting himself and lightly tossing Lou into the air.

The small turtle bursts into a fit of giggles, dropping the balled-up wad of paper covered in saliva. She holds her stomach as she laughs her little heart out, shaking her head “No” with the brightest smile.

Leonardo catches Lou one last time, not bothering to lower her from the air, and henceforth imprisoning her in air jail. He raises an amused brow and asks, “Did you have your fun?”

Lou reaches out for her father, tiny hands opening and closing for him to come closer. Her bright smile hasn’t faded and small pieces of wet paper slowly slide down her chin.

“You can’t eat paper, it’s not good for you. If you’re hungry just ask Papa, okay?” He lightly scolds as he can’t bear to ignore her little plea to be held close. He presses a little kiss on her diamond stripe before holding her forehead to his own.

Lou’s tiny hands grab at Leonardo’s cheeks and bandana, trying to pull him even closer until he finally gives in again.

The happy father hugs her tightly, pressing his cheek against his daughter’s as he coos, “My little princess!”
