when she looks at noor, she sees the little girl she knew before she left for her phd. so much time has passed since then, anu can't remember how many years exactly but it's been a lot. all she remembers is that noor was half her size now, big brown eyes looking at her, probably not fully grasping the concept that anu wouldn't be back that evening for dinner or that she would't live in the same house as her anymore. it nearly was enough to not make her leave, she'd stay in this suffocating bubble until her siblings flee the nest and then maybe, just maybe, she'd finally go. but no, anu had to do this, she'd spent so much of her life living for others, giving back to her family that it was time for her to have this one thing even if it was quite possibly one of the most hardest things she'd have to do.

even though anu knows that noor probably doesn't need her in that way anymore, that noor's an adult now, the virus being the catalyst that threw her into the deep end of independence and forced her to grow up fast maybe before she was even ready to. anu would always regret not being there for that. for not being there when she had to go through the loss of their parents and the subsequent losses of their siblings alone. no one should have to bear that kind of weight by themselves, especially not someone so young. maybe anu was making up for lost time, trying to fix her past mistake of abandoning her when noor still needed her, or maybe in anu's head, noor would always be that 11/12 year old girl even now and she's not ready to let the baby of the family go yet.

mission days were always the hardest for anu. if she could have it her way, she'd wrap noor in bubble wrap and keep her in her pocket, safe from any harm in the world. except she had already seen and experienced the horrors so the damage had been done. her eyes kept darting at the gates, knee bouncing up and down as she awaited their return. as soon as she sees a glimpse of noor coming through the gates, she's up and running towards her, hands reaching up to cradle her face inspecting it for any new injuries. "are you okay? are you hurt? it's cold out, where's your jacket? you'll catch a cold if you're not careful." she instinctively licks her finger and wipes off a smudge of dirt off noor's face. anu's being overbearing, maybe embarrassingly so but she can't stop herself from doing so. it's engrained in her, it's written in her code.

wren  sits  up  on  her  knees,  reaching  her  hand  out  and  snagging  the  phone  away  from  her  friend.  leaning  back,  she  dangles  it  out  of  reach.  "  i love you, so much, but that's  it. i  can't  do  it  anymore.  we're  doing  something  else  !  we're  doing  something  fun.  "

I'm not really comfortable talking about this at the moment because it involves unpacking post 9/11 anti-Arab racism, featurism, orientalism in American arts industries, the impact of celebrity on perceptions of race, AND Yolanda Hadid's history of being a bigot to her own kids - none of which I feel like unpacking after such a fucked week. ✦ i'd love to have someone that she shares a dorm room with. she's in and out of the sanctuary as much as possible, so her side of the room is probably pretty bare except for necessary items and a few knick knacks. it leaves a lot of space for her roommate to do whatever they want in the room when she's away, as long as they don't mess with noor's side ✦ workout buddies!!! especially over the last five years. she wants to stay #swole and while it's typically not hard to convince her to do a workout, she does get out of the routine occasionally. i imagine her as more of a drill sergeant than anyone else, so maybe also people she has to kick the ass of to get them into gear? ✦ like i said above, she is very gay. but she also has no idea how to romance a woman, couldn't tell you the first thing about it. someone she finds herself stuttering and stumbling metaphorically around would be so fun to me. taking her from, well, not confident but at least certain of herself, to just heart eyes over someone would be a great ride ✦ other scavengers to be her friend! i'd say she feels... freer? when she's outside of the sanctuary and though she's not someone to hide herself away at all, being looser out there definitely helps her to get into more vulnerable aspects ✦ she likes to speak her mind but there are some she may filter herself more around, just because she doesn't want to shatter their beliefs that things will get better one day. her sister is one such person, and though it's very rare, there could be friends she has that don't get the fullness of her thoughts ✦ friends are great, but also people who don't like her? who think she's very abrasive? i just honestly want everything and anything, please!! ✦ people to teach her various skills she's interested in!

Shield, Legendary, Requires Attunement

    The Hexbreaker is a shield made to ward the bearer and their allies from magic. It has been the bane of countless wizards and warlocks, and features in many stories that end in their demise. It is currently in the possession of the Vampire Saint Noor the Redeemer, who used it to stay alive long enough to talk her marks down from their destructive paths.

    The Hexbreaker is a multi-jointed series of mirrored plates that fit over the wearer’s arm. Donning or removing it requires one minute of work. It leaves the hand unoccupied, but restricts the arm’s movement enough that that hand cannot be used to cast spells or effectively wield weapons. 

    Spellproof: You have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. Spell attacks against you have disadvantage. While wearing the Hexbreaker, you may use your reaction to gain resistance to damage from one spell or other magical effect affecting you. The Hexbreaker itself is completely immune to magic.

Spell Magnetism: Whenever a ranged spell attack is made against an allied creature within 10 feet of you, the Hexbreaker causes you to become the target instead. Magic Missiles targeting you or any allied creature within 10 ft. veer off to hit the shield with no effect.

Spell Parry: Whenever you are the sole target of a spell, you may use your reaction to cast Counterspell from the shield, ignoring the spell’s usual range, provided you are aware of the spell being cast. You may use Strength or Dexterity in place of your spellcasting ability when casting Counterspell in this way. If the Counterspell would cause the targeted spell to fail, it instead causes the spell to target its caster instead. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you complete a short rest.

We will start our tour by visiting the grand beauty Taj mahal. It is renowned for its grand architecture and interestingly surprising history. The flabbergasting talent of architecture in Mughals is conspicuous in their buildings including Taj Mahal.

The constituents of monument are : gateway, gardens, mosque and mausoleum. The entrance of the monument is marked by a huge gateway. It leads to sprawling well-kept gardens flowered with huge colorful varieties. The garden is divided by a canal decorated with designer fountains. It connects to the grand mausoleum surmounting cupola and four minarets standing tall adjacent to each corner. It is made of white marble embellished with motifs, incised paintings, floral carvings, latticework, colorful designs on floor and ceilings. The calligraphic inscription from Quran on the walls is staggering. Also, do not miss the tombs of Shah Jahan and his wife Noor Jahan present inside. The visit to hypnotizing beauty is no less than a reverie.

Take an interesting tour of the site and then head towards next spot ‘Agra Fort’ located 2.5 kms away from Taj Mahal.

Moving forward we will visit next destination ‘Agra Fort’. Its constructed was started by Mughal Emperor Akbar and was sporadically continued by its descendants. The historical monument is listed as UNESCO world heritage site. It is made of red sandstone; because of the red color it is also called ‘Red Stone Fortress’. Situated on the banks of Yamuna River the Fort boasts high-rise walls with tight security against enemy penetration. The Mughals love for art is conspicuous here also with frescoes on the walls and ceilings. Step-well is also not-to-be-missed built by Babur.

Take a break and relish the lunch of your choice at a local restaurant. You can also try some lip-smacking Indian dishes. Thereafter, visit nearby market and pick some keepsakes for your loved ones.

We will continue our tour visiting next site ‘Mehtab Bagh’. It was built by Mughal emperor Babur choosing this as an ideal place to admire Taj Mahal. It is perfectly aligned with Taj Mahal sharing the banks of Yamuna River. The view of the monument from every corner is clearly visible from the garden. The driver will drop you to the railway station to board ‘Gatiman Express’ train to Delhi. The train will depart from Agra at 05:50 pm and arrive in New Delhi at 07:30 pm. On your arrival in Delhi railway station, our driver will be present to pick you up and transfer safely to the airport. You can continue your onward journey and the Agra tour package will hereby terminate.

 Cooper was in no mood to talk. This whole weekend has been shit and now his weekend was ruined. Well it wasn't ruined, he was just mentally and physically exhausted. All Cooper wanted to do was drown himself in alcohol. He found himself at City Brew Pub after every shift but this time he wasn't alone. This time Declan had decided to tag along which Cooper was grateful for. He had known Declan for these past two years and it was an unlikely friendship but it was nice since Cooper never really had any friends. He was a loner and liked to keep to himself. They were working on a gruesome case together and it was bothering Cooper. Of course it was. Any cases that involved children always bothered him. 

Taking a sip of his beer though, he knew that Declan wanted answers about the blonde who happened to cross their crime scene. Taking a deep breath, the music was loud and Cooper let the alcohol burn down his throat "I know you want answers to the questions that are going through your mind right now because I see your head spinning, but I'm just not in the fucking mood to talk about it man. There's nothing going on between Detective Freeman and I. Nothing. Nothing at all. I just met her today. I kind of just don't like her. I dont like how she came in and took over. That’s all." That was a lie, a complete and total lie. Cooper knew Nora Freeman. He knew her quite well, actually. He was in love with her. That was the love of his life but Declan didn't need to know that. Declan didn’t need to know his real story.  His story that he kept hidden for two years so far since being in Vancouver. Cooper was doing a good job with that.
