phos and shinsha let each other go, one by loss of self and the other by choice. while phos lost their way and memories of their past, shinsha was anchored by their promise and clung to hope mirrored by the unfinished encyclopedia. i wondered how hard it was to sever themself from past lingering feelings associated with the worn out notebook that phos left behind. 🥺
before phos shifted their priorities, they were driven by their desire to help shinsha find a purpose, which gave them a future to believe in. both had their ways of expressing how they meant to each other; it was far from perfect but meaningful to these two alone... this is a piece meant to parallel with an older work! 😭
Thinking about how we were robbed of at least ONE scene in Season 3 where Grogu tried to remove Din's helmet using the Force.
I'm meant to believe the chaos gremlin baby saw his dad's face ONCE and was satisfied with that? Absolutely not. I bet now they're alone in their little cabin on Nevarro, he tries to remove it constantly, (if since he has adopted Grogu, Din has not already made the choice to remove it when they're alone).
Din was annoyed at first but now just lets him because he loves feeling his boy's skin against his own when Grogu reaches his little claw up to stroke his cheek. And this time it's not in front of others during an incredibly traumatic moment.
Now, it's just Din and the son he loves so much, who loves him equally in return.
