We’ve been rewatching Friends, so when I went into NYC, I took a little touristy detour!

I don't hate Ross for writing the list, I kind of understand it- Ross is very analytical and weights out pros and cons in every situation. Also it wasn't even his idea in the first place to write the list and he was against printing it- that's all on Chandler. However, what I do have an issue with is his reasons not to date her, they were all super shallow and his disregard for her boundaries after Rachel told him to leave her alone. When someone says go away and slams the door in your face, you don't go climb up the fire escape!

How Judy and Jack treated Monica was just disgusting

The more times I rewatch Friends the more I wish they all ended with different people. Ross and Rachel suck together (Ross sucks most of time though), Rachel had way more chemistry with Joey or with Mark, I wish she ended up with one of them or just single and going to Paris. I like Monica and Chandler but Monica and Richard were so great, and Pete was such a nice guy.

I think in general I prefer them all when they are single or in relationships outside the group and they're all just FRIENDS beause thats the beauty of the show.

I think the reason so many LOTR ripoffs fail is because they make their Aragorn analogue the main character, when the entire point of Aragorn is that he’s “the person the villains think is the main character, but is Not.”

Aragorn seems like a traditional King Arthur style hero— he has huge Main Character Energy because he’s supported by destiny, by bloodline, by all these magic artifacts and prophecies, and etc etc. Frodo and Sam are Just Some Guys. Aragorn recognizes that Sauron understandably thinks he’s the main hero of this story ….and he pretends to believe it too, spending the entire series using himself as a diversion to prevent Sauron from seeing Frodo and Sam.

Aragorn’s whole thing is that knows he seems like the Main Hero of this legend to people who don’t know better —- but he also knows that he isn’t, and that his role is just to keep Sauron’s eye on him in order to protect the people around him.

And it works! Sauron is so fixated on defeating his Legendary Destined Archenemy with Extreme Main Character Energy that he completely overlooks the two ordinary little guys who were the real threat to him all along.

I love how Chandler keeps suggesting him and Monica date at the end of season 3/beginning of season 4 only for Monica to say "you'll always be the guy who peed on me" Only for them to get together at the end of season 4

The Friends gang should have kicked Ross to the Curb and brought Carol and Suzan into their group

Carol and Suzan would have added so much to the group and Ross just fucking sucks

Can we talk about what an asshole Barry Farber actually is? Because everyone always brings up how Rachel is terrible for leaving him at the altar, but can you really blame her? He cheated on her with her best friend AND her sister. After she left him at the altar he didn't even grieve, he just flew off on their honeymoon with said best friend he was cheating with, who was also Rachel's maid of honor. In less than a year he gets engaged to her, only to then go back to Rachel and cheat on his fiancée with her, but when they both call him out on it, he says: "I did it out of love, no mater what I did I was thinking of you" (while talking to his fiancée) like what a load of crap. Also he just can't get over Rachel's rejection to the point he makes up rumours about her being crazy just to save face. He is a truly despicable person and Rachel had every right and reason to leave him, she should have just picked a better moment.
