re: fuck reddit. I m still angry at that one mcc duo tournament. Like don t get me wrong, pizzacrust was great and iconic, they ve been teamed up like 7 times total counting non canon, grian is cool, and pete is my fav s tier! So like i understabd WHY they won, but i feel like some of the most iconic duos were completely ignored. At least Techno and Phil made it to the semifinals, but imo they should have defeated pizzacrust? Scott and Shelby, and Timmy and Martyn were completely snubbed, as if they were not some of the most frequent duos inside and outside of mcc. They really completely ignored Ren and False, ffs, where is this people s sense of narrative?? I know Ren and False are your favs, but do you know who should have won the tournament, imho?? CAPTAINSPARKLEZ AND KARA CORVUS. They are roomies, they are cursed as fuck, they are pessimistic, they are besties, they hate each other. Every time they team up together, they miss in dodgebolt in the most horrible ways possible. Ffs reddit.

Kara and Jardon are so iconic in MCC like girl we had the Krimson Krakens girl and the FRIENDSHIP and how Kara won the first one and it took Sparklez like forever to get his win and we were all rooting for him and the doomed narrative of the Captain's Curse and Krimson Krakens aaa. They are so doomed but like... together doomed. AND they are MCC relevant because they've been around for so long and are the subject of popular curses / patterns.

Ok tbf I knew False and Ren were gonna get out first go but at least they lost to a duo I used to deem as appropriate. To be honest, Pizzacrust is great but imo the only reason it won was because of clout </3. H + Torches should have won. Also you are very correct about Scott + Shubble and Timmy + Martyn because I was aware of them as duos before I actually knew them? Like I took a look at the MCC roster and was like "yeah these ppl are playing together again. yay pattern recognition they're friends".

I feel like one weird thing about the duo fanon is that...... people want to make up their new duos? And the long established besties duos either get snubbed (common) or it turns into stuff like Scarian yaoi in which it overshadows other things including Convex. I can go on longer but 💀
