Tbh I think just saying “increased appetite” on change lists with T truly doesn’t tell you just how much. So I’m gonna tell you how much for ppl considering starting T

A fucking lot. A “I’ve had an appetite-related eating disorder for years that I barely struggle with since starting T” lot. I am not kidding you will have so much of an appetite. You will be so hungry. Its genuinely incredible

And obviously it’s different for everyone but I just need ppl thinking of starting T to understand they are not fucking around when they say your appetite will increase. T makes you so hungry you will eat so much. Trust me on this please. Learn to make some nice filling meals, find fun ways to cook veggies, get some meat

#some tips. buying an on sale roast and cutting it up is cheaper than pre-cut steaks or beef chunks #buy meat when its on sale and freeze it #keep some frozen wnd fresh veggies. if prep work is difficult then buy em pre-cut its better than not having any #learn to make rlly filling meals. you will need these.#keep some more filling snack foods in the house for when u dont have the energy to cook as well #hrt #transmasc

so many meals can be bolstered by just throwing a handful of frozen spinach in there while you cook it. scrambled eggs? add some spinach. ramen? add some spinach. mac and cheese? add some spinach, baby!

#eliot posts #specifically i use a bag of frozen spinach so you can just dump some into the pot #the frozen blocks do NOT work for this purpose #unless you wanna add way too much spinach or go at the block with a gd icepick #and i prefer frozen to fresh bc fresh needs to be Kept Track Of or else it will go yucky in your fridge #frozen spinach is fine with being forgotten about for months #idk how much nutrition the spinach actually adds but it at least makes the meals FEEL less depressing #and prevents the dawning horror of ''dear god i cannot actually remember the last time i ate a vegetable'' from occurring #this is no longer a sad 30 cent brick of ramen in sad packet broth. now there is leaf! sometimes even egg/onion too!#i will still eat it directly out of the pot bc i am too depressed to clean a bowl tho.

Silly Ask: Does Jasper humour Alice when she wants to play human? Does she try on outfits for him from her shopping escapades? Does he care about trivial things like that? Is he a romantic?

Oh yes, and I don't think he's even humoring her half the time. He truly wants to be there. He loves to watch her "hunt" when she takes him shopping, for example, or when they're exploring a new city to try and find the exact spot she'd seen in a vision.

Nothing makes him happier than to watch and feel Alice's happiness. Sometimes he's really just tagging along or carrying bags, sometimes he dives into whatever humanoid role is expected of him. Sometimes he's the one creating the experience for her (bonus if he is able to surprise her at all).

While neither Alice nor Jasper would win a "most romantic character" award, he's the more romantic of the two. Romance, after all, is just about using props and scenes and words to stir certain feelings. So whether his role is passive observer, obedient assistant, or doting husband who moves heaven and earth to make his wife smile, he doesn't care too much about which props and scenes create those feelings. (He's sentimental about the diner and a few other places, but not objects as much.)

Shopping in particular is so trivial and mundane and borders on the ridiculous, in his mind; just as with the eternal freshness of vampire love, he's still in awe of the restful freedom this new life brings. Having the leisure to do unproductive things like this—in safety, with a home waiting at the end of the day—is still a novel idea that makes him smile to himself as he watches her.

Alice knows all this. But to this day, she still rushes out of the dressing room and asks Jasper what he thinks of this skirt or that jacket even though she knows he's barely looking at the clothing. They both know his response is really about "Yes, that one, because you feel beautiful and triumphant."

...Not to say there aren't times when he truly stares or is pulled forward to see what she feels like under the texture of the fabric. Since he doesn't ever fake that response, it's a truly special moment for both of them when it does come.

Everyone says frozen veggies have the same nutritional content if not better because they were frozen at their freshest but it can’t possibly be true. Because 1. Where did the flavor go without taking any nutrients with it and 2. Why do they never make me feel full? I simply do not believe it.

Tonight I made myself a pizza with red onions and mushrooms and it was tasty and nice

#food #airy cooks #i got these frozen balls of dough #each is enough for a medium pizza #you gotta thaw them #then let them rise till they about double in size #which in my house means you have to put the bowl into a cold oven (or the microwave)#with a bowl of steamy just boiled water #and leave it alone #dough will not rise properly of its own accord at our room temp #oh and there was fresh basil too!#for the brain scorpions #anyway after the dough ball rises that much you can roll it out and use it

Had my parents over in my new apartment because they stopped by to help me paint an accent wall on their way to their anniversary trip, and I got to feed them actual good quality sandwiches with sides and nice drinks, and man it hits different actually getting to Host people instead of just ordering food in to treat somebody who's visiting. It's different when it's Your Food to give.

Strawberry Frozen Yoghurt

It might be the first day of Autumn in Aotearoa today; but the sun was out, high and hot in Auckland this arvo! The perfect weather to enjoy this simple as yet very good Strawberry Frozen Yoghurt. Happy Thursday!

Ingredients (serves 2):

half a dozen medium, ripe Garden Strawberries

2 teaspoons caster sugar

180 grams/ounces plain Greek Yoghurt

Thoroughly rinse Strawberries under cold water. Drain them well in a colander.

Dice Strawberries, and place them in a bowl. Sprinkle with caster sugar, and give a good stir, to mix and coat Strawberries in sugar.

Place the bowl in the refrigerator, 1 hour, occasionally tossing the Strawberries.

Then, add Greek Yogurt to the bowl, and gently stir to mix, allowing the Strawberry syrup to swirl into the Yoghurt.

Spoon mixture into a freezable container and close well. Place in the freezer, for at least 3 hours.

Serve Strawberry Frozen Yoghurt with fresh Strawberries, if desired.

The most important invention of the 2020s so far is chocolate-dipped fruits that you can just buy in bags in the freezer aisle of many groceries. please for the love of god keep this up

#I think it's new anyway #Chocolate strawberries have been one of my top 5 favorite desserts since I could eat solid food and I'm not exagerrating #So I think if this was sold earlier in my life. I would have So gotten on that #but i'd never seen it until like. last year. when my life was changed forever #It also enlightened me to the idea of just . eating normal frozen berries sans chocolate #Which is honestly fucking great because they're just as nutritious as fresh fruit And really good snacks #And I don't have to rinse or cut them first. the nice freezer people did that for me #and i can have them out of season :)#Frozen strawberries sweet cherries and blueberries are all like. god tier #i didn't like the sour cherries :(
