Sometimes I think about 1x19, and specifically how angsty Morgan’s interactions with Hannibal Bates are gonna be 🥰

I mean, imagine:

Your brother has been hiding things from you, so has everyone else. You’re pretty sure it has to do with the fact that your dad’s the Reverse Flash, but it’s okay, you know that now. Your brother doesn’t have to protect you anymore. You beg your big sister (Caitlin) to let you bring him to STAR Labs so you can get him to admit the truth…and secretly, she wants him to, so she agrees.

And you plead your case to him. You try to get him to see that you’re still his superhero partner, you’re not a little kid, he doesn’t have it keep protecting you. He can trust you.

Except then he tells you that he doesn’t trust you, actually. That you’re only on this Team because they all pity you, including him. That you should wake up and realize that, because surely you’d know everything by now if they really trusted you? Do you have another explanation?

You don’t. Of course not. Why else would they keep secrets from you?

You’re heartbroken. You don’t want to believe it. Maybe he’s whammied again, you tell yourself—but no, he’s never been able to fake happiness or be in any way subtle while whammied. And you can’t think of any other reason why he’d be like this…except if he was the whole time.

It wouldn’t be the first time someone tricked you—remember Hartley? Remember Eliza? Dad always did say you were too naïve for your own good, and for all that he’s apparently evil, maybe he has a point in that regard at least.

(Little do you know that “Barry” is a shapeshifter, not really your brother. Little do you know that he did all this because you were annoying to him, and he wanted to shut you up, and make you cry for the simple crime of annoying him.

Little do you know what else is in store for you.)

The Clone Wars 1x20 'Innocents of Ryloth' Reaction

Waxer and Boil were the OG Space Dads.

omg their whole story line with Numa was just, my heart my emotions I am a puddle on the floor

Especially when she hugged them and we got to see so much of their character and personalities in the way they responded. They were both so wary and surprised and then Waxer was all soft and comforting and Boil with his hilarious little 'there there' pats. It was the clone version of 'Yes I read the manual on how to comfort civilian children, I totally know what I'm doing, stop laughing Waxer.'

Speaking of Waxer, his concern and care, particularly in his facial expressions, were just aaaaaaaaah. Wrap me up in them and I will be comforted forever more.

(Yes I know what happens on Umbara shhhhhhh let me enjoy my meager scrap of happiness for now).

And at the end of the episode when they asked Obi-Wan why Numa kept calling them 'Nerra' and he told them it meant brother I just wanted to hurl myself off the balcony. It was an actual squee moment. It was like a tiny scrap of long lost young nerd me surfaced and in that moment it was just pure fan girl joy. Plus Obi-Wan knew, the sneaky little ginger shit (affectionate). You could see the little amused expression on his face as soon as Waxer and Boil asked him.

Is this the first time we see Ghost Company? I think it is? If so, then good excellent, hello Ghost Company, more of and about you please.

I think this is the first time we see Cody hand Obi-Wan's lightsaber back to him as well. Even though I could've sworn we saw a flash of it ignited when he leapt over the beasts once they were trapped behind the stone bridge that Ghost Company shot down but eh, who needs continuity if it means we get more moments of Cody giving Obi-Wan his lightsaber back. I can just hear the exasperated "Sir you dropped this again".

I watched 1x18 and 1x19 before this episode and while they were enjoyable, there was just something about this episode. I haven't even made it through the first season and already I just want more clone episodes. The 'jedi go on adventures around the galaxy' episodes are fun but just give me everything about the clones. There's just something about the clones that hits different.

Peter Sweeney from 1X3 "Dead in the Water" Lily Shoemaker (the younger sister who first summoned Bloody Mary from 1X5) Matt Pike (the son from 1X8 "Bugs") Sari and Richie (maybe as another sibling team-up?) the two kids from 1X9 "Home" (Also! I have to apologize. I just realized while looking these up and cross-referencing with your list, that I made a minor mistake with a previous nomination. Melanie Merchant is from 1X19 not 1X18) But 1X18 (which is actually "Something Wicked") does have Michael (older brother) and Asher (little brother). (Was almost going to go to the trouble of digging up the names of some of the kids from "Everybody Loves a Clown" but on second thought, they all let a f*cking CLOWN into their house! At night! They have NO survival instincts and would probably lose to the Fitzgerald twins! *LOL*) Maybe a stretch, but what about the Young! version of Callie Garrison, from 3X5 "Bedtime Stories"? Since although the young version is a psychic projection, it's essentially how the character was when she was a girl, so a sort of flash-back/memory?

Glee Rewatch 1x19, where Will almost kisses his highschool rival

What do you mean, they don't end up together?

Oooh those recaps are getting faster!

You know, Bryan Ryan does have a point. Will is a teacher because he couldn't become a star and achieve his dream. I also consider that teaching would be a job to fall back on (because there's not much I can do with my degree). In highschool, as soon as we picked our path, our teachers were very frank: "The culture sector is dead-end. You won't earn much and you'll have a hard time finding a job." At the same time, we all knew that if we picked this path, it was because we couldn't imagine doing anything else.

It's weird how much S1 pushes Artina/Tinartie when I remember that I was pretty dead-set on Tike by the end of the show. When does that change? S2? Anyway, Tina and Artie dancing together is cute! We rarely see tap-dancing on Glee. Sadly the scene ends with Artie being a jerk. It's understandable that he's angry but Tina didn't deserve his invective.

His shirt probably says "Fever Dream". You know. What their relationship ends up being at the end of S1.

Nice lighting but more importantly, they give boyfriends vibes and I'm here for it. Wemma was fun because it featured the unrequited love trope. Brill is fun because it's gay. Also they hug just after this screenshot and we love hugs!

Wait, is Jesse interfering with the Shelby/Rachel storyline? Completely forgot about that!

Anyway. Boyfriends.

Dear readers, I have to confess something.

When I said that "Physical" was the first Glee cover I added to my playlist, I lied.

Sort of.

The very first Glee cover I actually added to my playlist was "Safety Dance" years ago, after it featured in "THE BEST OF: Spencer Hastings". Yes, I watched Pretty Little Liars. Multiple times. Bad show. Please don't watch it.

The dance is quite nice (and I love that Brittany joined in) but the framing is curious (people filming the flash mob). I guess it means that Artie wishes he was a famous dancer. Anyway, the instrumental of the episode is different from the instrumental of the song as released (notably a different pitch for some of the sounds).

We have proof that Sue is into angry sex when she hooks up with Bryan Ryan, and later Will successfully seduces her, which means my Sue/Will ship is actually more likely than I remembered! Anyway, a lesbian actress and a gay actor playing characters hooking up with each other! Quite ironical.

Beautiful shot.

Emma talks about a student eating her own hair as a reference to extremely popular game The Silver Case: The 25th Ward where one of Kurimizawa's traits is that he eats women's hair. It's a game that exists and is playable. Aesthetically wonderful. Anyway that's not the point of this post!

☕️ 1x15 is still the best episode of The Flash

Admittedly I have a hard time labeling any episode as The Best, but it’s definitely super high on my list. As someone who hasn’t read the comics, I was blown away when I first saw the time travel of this episode and 1x16 (which I always consider a package deal, so I always forget they’re two separate episodes 😅 same with 1x13 and 1x14). And killing off Cisco via Eowells?? That “you have shown me what it’s like to have a son” line?? AHHHH (and ofc the visions Cisco gets later…the way this turns him into Vibe omg)

The one downside of this episode is that Westallen kiss. Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s a sweet kiss and all, and the confession is clearly very heartfelt, and it’s at least consensual, unlike the 1x19 kiss that some SBs like to romanticize…but it’s also cheating (Iris is dating Eddie, Barry is…possibly still dating Linda? I don’t remember exactly), and the show is so attached to it that it rubs me the wrong way sometimes (s4 in particular mentions it as something Iris has Cisco vibe her to in order to see). I just…really wish this kiss had happened post-s1 if they were gonna make it the Big Damn Kiss yk? Or at least they could’ve recreated it and made that the big romantic kiss.

It’s not a major complaint, it’s just like a rock in my shoe, so to speak 😅 but the episode overall is SOLID and one of my favorites for sure 💞
