I just recently watched this movie and I have to say...
What a complete and utter mindfuck this movie was; I loved it. From the story to the psychological horror, this movie kept me glued to the screen from start to finish.

Follow up on John Wick 4
It should have lost the whole Osaka set piece and made a tighter story. It added nothing to the arc other than "here's another friend Wick's going to dump on from a great height" with some tired Japanese gangster tropes.
Bill Skarsgard was as sinister as a wet cabbage.
The "tracker" added nothing to the story other than a lazy "get out of this situation free".
Given there was zero conflict between the Marquis and Wick prior to the final scene it lacked any tension. Even with my dodgy eyesight I worked out what happened as it happened. So less a "shock" and more an "oh yeah."
See my previous comment about the Rogue One cross-over angle. Only it got worse as the film went on.
I was less interested in the stair fight as I was waiting for the inevitable "Oh no, he's bounced all the way to the bottom". It didn't disappoint.
I did like the single shot set piece.
Otherwise, 3 hours of my life wasted. Think I'll skip the "JW Cinematic Universe" films unless I need some background noise.

I just got done watching Precious on Tubi. The movie is based off a book called Push by Sapphire. The story revolves around the life of a teen girl called Claireece Precious Jones who is an incest survivor and pregnant with her father's baby, and her journey to make a better life for herself.
This movie tells a very important and familiar story. It's familiar because I went through a lot of the same things Precious did. Its something I'm still struggling to come to terms with, and after watching this movie I can't help but wonder how many people are in similar situations.
How many daughters and children have mothers who are desperate to compete with them?
And I just.....I had to really try and force myself not to derealize when I was watching this movie, and I'm kinda angry because I feel like this book and movie helped popularize the Welfare queen myth. Which was very prevalent in the 1990s and 2010s, and the book was originally published in 1996.
I'm also angry because I know that if I had been in the same situation as Precious -- if I was being raped by my father or my mom's boyfriend my mother would have reacted the same way Precious's mother did: She would have done nothing. Cause that's exactly what she did when her ex started groping me when I was a teenager, and that's what she did when we found out her fucking friend was taking pictures of my sister when she was fifteen.
This is a really good movie and I hate my fucking mom.
