Does anyone else just randomly start thinking about Festivia from svtfoe and gets emmotional? like she grew up on a lie. She thought her mom basically abandoned her and nearly ruined her own kingdom. She was a child in charge of a kingdom without a family. She was a political pawn. She basically rebuilt the royal family’s connection with the people of Mewni. Her entire life is a lie. She’s known as “Festivia the Fun” even though her life was full of strife and political tension. I-

Significant Changes;

Instead of going to war after Shastacan dies, there's actually the war ongoing throughout the majority of her childhood. Festivia doesn't do anything direct to stop it until a few years after her Coronation.

Speaking of her Coronation, Festivia puts her foot down and expels Shastacan from the kingdom once she's properly crowned. Considering she can't do the same to the Commission, she simply refuses their advise and when called on it points out their suggestions are Not commands to be followed. She also takes more advantage of their absence with less fear of consequences.

While in her default verses she's still unaware of the truth of her heritage, she eventually comes to the decision that she needs to figure out a way to find and confront Eclipsa and seeks out discreet ways of doing so.

There is an attempt to rehabilitate Solarians with varying success. Mina is not anywhere under the success category

She is interested in the advancement of Mewni, particularly as a patron of the arts.

The Canon timeline does not happen. My Festivia may or may not be the mother of a new Butterfly Lineage or may eventually yield the throne to someone more deserving, but unless discussed and requested Festivia is of this time period and Mewni is a few hundred years behind the hype.

I do plan to do a separate post about Mewni/Mewman changes on their own but if you have any specific questions about that or even something that seems amiss about Festivia's changes my inbox is always open!

Festivia my beloved you deserved better writing.

I would say I want a show on Festivia and her rise to the throne. I would say I want them to focus on the political consequences Festivia would have to bare due to Eclipsa's actions. I would say I want to see how the infamous party queen not only housed her entire kingdom but also gained their trust during a time the kingdom would be against the Butterflys. I would say I want to see Grunkle Justhin's influence on the young Festivia and how it mixes or contradicts with the Magical Commissions. I would say I want to see potential with Festivia and light magic. I would say all of that but I don't trust the writers not to screw Festivia over again.

Hewwo! :3 Thank you, I really appreciate it! and thanks for the ask! I've been a huge fan of svtfoe since it came out, it's a really fun show and I relate a lot to Star's hyperactivity, but I wasn't as obsessed about it then as I am now. That happened after watching season 4 in 2019 and found out about the real life book of spells, then I was absolutely hooked by the lore. I started writing theories the same year, but not really sharing them until next year on my facebook page, then years later I made this blog. Sorry, I started rambling a little, here, have this sketch of Festivia and her daughters

In this AU of mine Allium is the second born after Eclipsa...Solaria was forced to marry a prince since Eclipsa father was a sailor.

Because Eclipsa Was next on the throne, Solaria took more care of Eclipsa and left Allium with the servants...Eclipsa is 3 years older than Allium...

Justin the uncalculated loved both of them, so Allium never Was jealous or upset because of Eclipsa...

She later had twins, both boys.

Allium had the crown till Festivia the Fun Was ready to take the Wand and her place as queen at 14.

Allium could not took care of Festivia the Fun just because just like Eclipsa, she also used her dark spells, but she loved Festivia the fun, she Was all that Was left of her big sister Eclipsa...
