would i be able to ask for a simplified explanation of the manatreed thing? even when i was actively in the dsmp fandom i struggled to follow that and i still don’t understand exactly what happened. it’s ok if not, take care of yourself
OKAY so it's been a hot minute but I'm sure someone else in the community can add or correct any mistakes I make.
Dream runs a contest about buying merch or something where the winner is supposed to get a feature in a Manhunt video. Around this time, a "faceless" twitter account named Manatreed appears that all of the Dteam and Karl and a few others follow. it's a guy wearing vaguely Dream shit or Dream merch or something. The guy keeps being all "hee hee I'm not Dream" and he and Dream have some weird exchanges hinting a connection.
Some time passes, Dream announces he wants to give more opportunities to small/unknown streamers and that the merch contest was the first step of that. He announces one of the first people he wants to spotlight is... you guessed it...Manatreed.
Now, something isn't sitting right here. Dream is INSISTING that he met this guy through his efforts to look for small cc's. Some unsavory parts of the community doxx the guy. The community is torn because that's horrible and reprehensible.
And then it comes to light that the guy lives on property owned by Dream and had a criminal record for assault and domestic violence. People are still torn because of where that information came from, but as more information is leaked, the more clear it is that it's true.
Manatreed does one HUGE stream on the dsmp and a massive thread is made detailing all of the unsavory things about the guy and his connections to Dream. Dream immediately releases comments saying people that believe that shit are gullible. More days pass and the thread keeps spreading out. Dream announces that Manatreed has decided he hates content creation because of the stress of being doxxed and having his business aired. He maintains, again, that he didn't know the guy until he started that Manhunt Merch contest and that the guy has been removed from the server. Manatreeds socials all go silent.
The video today drops and Dream admits what we all knew -- he knew the guy, they WERE friends and it was all a plot to get his childhood friend into streaming. He says he didn't know about the abuse shit until the stream but like.Your childhood friend gets a felony and lives with you and you don't know it? Okay.

sometimes i hope members of leaktwt get bit in the ass so hard by what they do.
the stuff they do is often borderline cyberstalking, and often is simply just cyberstalking, which is considered a level 6 felony in most places.
doxxing in any form is punishable by fine or up to 5 years in prison in most places.
the amount of things that has come out from leaktwt too that is proven fake- these people can deadass be sued and sued hard for defamation when the shit goes viral.
you aren’t just typing words behind a screen some of these people are genuinely committing crimes and then getting away with it by using burner accounts or back pedaling so hard they trip and fall.

i have a question that let me start off saying is not insult its a real question. some on the right saw the push in 2012-2014 on how far trans topic was going. at the same time groups pro trans where making plans to push there view is it wrong the other side make there own plans before they hit the public as a whole? thank you i do hope you are well and just someone wanting to see more views. thank you
No worries, I'm more than happy to help you understand the difference between right and wrong.
Yes, it is wrong to take away an individual's bodily autonomy and medical freedom, because we should each have ownership of our own bodies and lives. It is wrong to ban scientifically backed medical treatments and procedures which have saved countless lives, because you simply believe that those treatments shouldn't be accessible. It is wrong to prevent parents from making medical decisions for/with their own children and it is wrong to threaten to take children away from parents who love and support them. It is wrong to attempt to prevent adults from making decisions about their own bodies.
It is wrong to harass medical providers and threaten them with potential felonies for simply doing their jobs. It is wrong to send b*mb threats to hospitals, and it is wrong to cut state funding to hospitals for providing healthcare you wish didn't exist to people you don't personally like. It is wrong to ban insurance coverage for healthcare procedures that you wouldn't personally seek to receive.
It is wrong that parents are having to flee states to protect their children and provide them with healthcare. It is wrong that people are having to run from their homes, their communities, their families, their jobs--just to access healthcare and have even a small sense of safety.
It is wrong to ban books from public libraries because public libraries are for everyone, not just the people you personally like and agree with. It is wrong to ban age appropriate books from public school libraries because public schools are for all children, not just the ones from families who share your own personal political or religious beliefs.
It is wrong to attempt to legally ban the selling of specific books in entire states. It is wrong to dox, harass, or fire teachers because of their personal identity. It is wrong to attempt to legally ban entire fields of study. It is wrong to launch an all out attack on literacy, culture, sports, and the arts. It is wrong to have a tantrum over children's books about crayons and songs about rainbows.
It is wrong to falsely portray innocent individuals as sexu*l predat*rs simply because you disagree with how those people choose to live their lives. It is wrong to dehumanize people. It is wrong to attempt to legally strip people of their rights and freedoms because you believe that your religion tells you they are less than human.
Do you know what "pushing our view" from a pro-trans prospective would even look like?
It is every individual person having the right to decide what happens to our own body. It is every person having access to the healthcare that we each need on our own terms.
It is the freedom to choose what media you consume and the freedom for every other person to do the same. It is the freedom to choose what art you create or perform. It's the freedom to decide what you will study and the ability to access education without censored curriculums.
It is trans people having full inclusion in public life and access to public spaces, just like anyone else.
The "pro trans" agenda is trans people living full lives on our own terms.
And the anti-trans agenda?
The anti-trans agenda is to make it as difficult, dangerous, and painful for us to live, work, and exist in public spaces as possible--with the eventual goal of removing us from society entirely.
The anti-trans agenda is, by their own admission, the elimination of transgenderism. And you cannot ever fully eliminate transgenderism without eliminating trans people in the process.
So yes, I would say that the other side is wrong for that.

Legal-Eagle and Insurrectionist Speaker candidate GymJordon doxxed the family contacts of GOP holdouts to MAGA bravados so they could threaten what ‘could’ happen if the holdouts vote incorrectly.
I say ‘legal-eagle’ because
“Threatening the government officials of the United States is a felony under federal law. Threatening the president of the United States is a felony…Threatening other officials is a Class D or C felony, usually carrying maximum penalties of 5 or 10 years under 18 U.S.C. § 875, 18 U.S.C. § 876 and other statutes, that is investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”

It has come to my attention that fellow "creator", SSSniperwolf, has recently gone out of her way to stalk, harass and dox critic Jacksfilms over reporting on her blatant content thief, doing livestreams where he tries to find and list off everyone she steals videos from so they're actually credited. I am completely against SSSniperwolf and actively encourage the campaign to take down/demonetize her channel. She's gone too far and now it's time to fight back. If you see a video of hers or her channel feel free to report her to Youtube and notify them of her actions, as doxxing is in fact a felony and can land her jail time.
It's time to face the consequences.

Doxxing people is a felony. If that Anon seriously wants to get taken to court, embarrass their entire family, and possibly even sit in juvie because they want to play homophobic bully online, they have some serious problems.
They're probably some middle schooler saying wathever without fully having a grasp of how real world works yet. Let's just ignore them

i’m a fuuta innocent truther, and here’s my essay on it! by me
Hi hello I love Fuuta Kajiyama very much and I have many thoughts about him, particularly on his innocence/forgiveness. TWs: basic Milgram stuff (murder, doxxing, etc) along with mentions of past abuse. Also, I hope this is obvious, but I’m not supporting any Milgram character’s actions or crimes (except for Yuno, abortion is a human right), this is just my perspective!
I have a few points I’d like to make, but first, I’d like to lay out my perception of Fuuta, along with a few theories I have about him that seriously influence how I vote on him. It’s important to remember that Fuuta is a college student, and it’s implied that he’s had his online platform for at least a few years. That’s... a lot of pressure for somebody who’s twenty years old, and has presumably had a large following since their late teens. The quick escalation of Fuuta’s actions, from simple insults to outright doxxing and death threats, seems to me like Fuuta was worried about losing the following that he probably relied on both financially and emotionally, and his actions became more and more drastic as he tried to keep their attention (a little like Haruka).
Another thing that I think important to mention about Fuuta is that it’s implied that he faced some sort of abuse from his father. It’s unclear whether this was verbal, physical, or both, but he calls his father a “pathetic fogey” in one of his interrogations, and doesn’t expand past that, which reads as an abusive situation. None of this is confirmed, so I don’t let it influence my vote for Fuuta too much, but I personally believe that many of his actions stem from the need to prove that he isn’t a coward because his father planted that idea in his head.
Next, I’d like to look at Fuuta’s reaction to both his crime and his 1st trial verdict, because I think that this is what truly makes him one of the most redeemable characters in Milgram. Some characters know that they committed murder but feel no remorse (Kotoko, Amane), and it’s easy to say that others feel guilt, but that guilt is often directed more towards who was affected by the crime than the actual act of killing. For example, Haruka is easily one of the most guilt-stricken characters in Milgram, but when you look closer, Haruka is actually guilty because he feels that his crime didn’t get him attention and care. Fuuta, on the other hand, feels genuine remorse for his victim, despite his reluctance to admit it. Just look at his face in his 1st trial music video: Fuuta is scared. As a character, it’s pretty easy to see who Fuuta is: a young adult who puts on a tough front because he is terrified of being perceived as a coward. While it seems like Fuuta isn’t truly remorseful because of this tough act, it’s easy to see that he feels extremely guilty about what he did, in a more genuine way than other characters.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly: Fuuta’s is the only crime that isn’t, like, a major felony in Japan. Admittedly, I don’t know the intricacies of the Japanese legal system, and while online insults can get you up to a year of jail time, it’s nowhere near the consequences that literally every other character would face. Seeing how Fuuta is also the only character to not actually make the conscious decision to kill someone (he made posts, yes, but arguably didn’t know the direction it would take), Fuuta is the only character who, in the eyes of the law, isn’t facing capital punishment.
To sum it up, Fuuta is different from other Milgram characters in many ways. He does see his crime in a bad light, and, while scared to admit it, Fuuta feels a true guilt for what he did - from a metavoting perspective, it’s highly unlikely that he would ever do something even close to doxxing again. Fuuta’s just a scared kid who made a very, very bad mistake, but who deserves the opportunity to make amends. TLDR: vote Fuuta Kajiyama innocent 2k22

About the new TOU
Now that there is this hassle with EA's new rule, you can thank those who keep their downloads permanently behind a paywall, engage in shady payment systems, and especially those who added tracking programs to their downloads, and doxxed people and spread their information. So it was not just one reason, but many.
They ruined a good thing for everyone. And now these same people are acting like spoiled brats when their source of easy money has been taken away. Throwing a full temper tantrum in online.
Even one person considered it’s their right to scare people and present a fake legal document. A tip for him/her, forging a legal document is a crime, and depending on the country, as well as the state, the consequences can be very bad.
And no, of course I don't know everything about the law, but I found out now that forging an official legal document is a crime even a felony in some places.
So, if only everyone would take a deep breath, calm down and look at the matter from a new angle, and the rest of you, really, if you want to blame something, blame those who actually violated the previous EA TOU and thus ruined a good thing for everyone else.
And really, you always have to remember to have other sources of income, not just one. You always have to have a backup plan, you never know what will happen next.

spent a little too much time looking at ao3's negligence and now i wanna throw up
i'm really betrayed by the whole thing. i really believed in ao3, and i believed in their mission. i believed in their responsibility, and believed they really were working as best they could.
finding out they outright denied policy and abuse volunteers industry standard tools, didn't so much as hide accounts accused of spreading c/p, and then turned around and accused one of their members of multiple felonies to cover their asses is just...
no, the problem with ao3 isn't that they host fictional underage and noncon. the problem is that they don't treat the people dealing with the nonfictional stuff with even a modicum of fucking decency -- and completely and utterly f a i l e d to even TRY to protect their volunteers against doxxing or swating when they were threatened.
haven't entirely decided whether i want to keep using ao3 like this. i probably will, because it's home, but my heart hurts and i feel just fucking sick.
before anyone asks me for source, saved copies of various texts and links to the originals were all collected here: https://synonymous.dreamwidth.org/

I was curious where you stand on the current r4cs0 drama. A lot of conservative blogs have said he should be cancelled because it turns out that he was originally here on an H1B Visa to work in a hotel, but not only did he overstay his visa, he also robbed the hotel on his last day of work. And I guess the only reason why he wasn't deported was because Obama stopped all deportations at the time and he got lost in the shuffle even after being convicted of a felony. But the thing I have a problem with is that we only know about this because the SJWs doxxed him after he said that bisexuals should be obligated to get a special dispensation from the Vatican. So like really he is actually in trouble for being a bigger conservative than most of the "conservatives" are. What do you think?
I think you're retarded for copy-pasting this shit into a random inbox. Fuck off, concern troll.
