We can see clearly now

The world south of our house had become cloudier in recent months as cobweb-like stains in the space between three of the double-panes windows bloomed and spread .

Moisture. After 40 years, the seals meant to keep it out had failed on three of the windows.

Enough soon became enough. On Wednesday we had 80 square feet of fixed glass replaced: two 8-by-4 footers and one 4-by-4.

We're seeing things more clearly these days.

In the show it's basically a joke. Haha! Vlad's life-ruining ghostly medical disaster... was acne! The proto-portal accident gave him ghost pimples! This is relateable humor for teens!

But damn when you think about it. There is ectoplasm, the very essence of something dead, rolling and roiling under your skin. Your living body is trying to reject this dead thing that is part of you; your skin bubbles, warps, pops under the strain of your body trying to reject itself, your body trying to force this otherworldly thing out of you. Your skin is twisting and cracking as it slowly kills you, your body destroying itself trying to get it out.

But from the outside sure, haha acne, right

Bruce dies in the Past

So! When Bruce was sent back in Time and got stuck in the Past, he was never saved. Tim failed to bring him back to the future, and Bruce was stuck in the Past for the rest of his Natural Life.

Then he died, came back as a Ghost, and regained his Lost Memories.

He didn't really know what to do, he was stuck Millenia in the Past, his Family won't be born for Literal Ages, and most of all he is Dead. He doesn't really have alot of options.

If you go with the Idea that Batman is a Liminal, then you could say that his Obsession was Protection. And that Obsession was focused primarily on Gotham and his Family.

So what is a Ghost to do when the object of his Obsession had been ripped away from him? He breaks a little. Bruce kind of goes Insane.

He decides that if he is going to he stuck in the Ghost Zone, he may as well protect it as if it were Gotham. So, he finds the quickest way to do that...by becoming the Ghost King.

So, he finds the Castle of the Ghost King, and challenges him to Single Combat. And he manages to Win. But the King needs to choose their Title, and he doesn't think he wants to include the name of Batman in the distant Past. It may affect the Future.

So, he chooses the name, Pariah Dark.

Bruce Wayne, is Pariah Dark.

He started as a Good King, but gradually he let his Broken Obsession get to him. Becoming King did nothing to fill the void in his Core, so he fell more and more into Insanity. It didn't help that he became the King in such a vulnerable emotional state. The sudden Power Increase caused his mind to fracture even more.

The Seven Ancients didn't seal away Pariah Dark just to save the Zone, they also did it to save Pariah himself.

Then one day, Pariah's Seal is Broken and he is presented with a Portal to the Human Realm. A Human Realm where enough time has passed that Gotham finally exists again. He may have gotten a little overexcited, he'll admit.

Thankfully, Danny was there to knock some sense into him.

He took the Throne and the power associated with it from Pariah, leaving him as just Bruce Wayne again. The existence of Gotham and his Family in the present world helped mend a few of the Cracks in his Core, and for the first time in Centuries Bruce Wayne felt somewhat whole again.

...

Basically, Bruce dies in the Past, goes Insane because his Liminal Obsession was broken, and becomes Pariah Dark when he takes the Throne of the Ghost Zone.

Unfortunately, his Broken Obsession was only aggravated by the sudden Influx of Power, and he went Insane. When Danny took the Throne from him, he took the power that was clouding Bruce's Mind and helped him heal a bit.

Anyway returning to Lore Stuff but: feels really likely The Crush was due to Ludinus's attempt to contact Ruidus in the late 500s, which is what led to the fall of Molaesmyr. I wonder if he even realized until centuries later, since I don't think he was able to communicate with Ruidus until he started working with Ruidusborn which feels comparatively recent. Imagine unwittingly setting into motion a natural disaster that permitted the final stages of complete imperial takeover on an entirely different celestial body and then finding out 200-odd years later that this is extremely beneficial to your lifelong dreams.

To represent his descent into guilt and his LIES becoming undone.#course as the player i have already used my magatama and seen his 35894 psychelocks. but theyre those BLACK psychelocks #representing his repressed memories taken by the brimhats. also his glasses shatter out of nowhere when you keep presenting evidence #and tartah's testimony etc. and the player is like UHH this guy is A PUPPET MASTER but coco's heartfelt testimony commands the tone #and of course he's someone who has been twisted and damaged by trauma like adrian andrews. the mastermind is of course the brimhats #only me with my magatama knows that... only i can do it. Purrs, trills, huffs, sighs, clicks, rumbles, etc

Hollow letting out little huffs and whines unintentionally when they're overly stressed or hurting

Little rumbles and near-silent purrs or an audible sigh when touched lovingly or held comfortingly

Clicks and trills when they're finally comfortable enough to express curiosity or to get someone's attention or to greet them

Actual growls if someone threatens their loved ones and makes their incredibly long fuse of a patience snap

so like, via canon and arb, we’ve seen kuukou guide, seal, and banish supernatural stuff; he helped a ghost pass to the next life peacefully and his hypnosis ability is to seal lol

it’s only in arb that we’ve seen the need for kuukou to banish spirits, and tho technically those instances never happened lol, he’s been shown to be bad at it. which i think is pretty interesting!!!! so he’s good at leading and perhaps keeping, but bad at sending away huh 🤔

ok now that i'm not hungry i'll say that stuff about glasses in media. obviously i think its tasteless that a lot of the time, removing glasses is done to show that a character is suddenly beautiful, suddenly capable, suddenly amazing when they were weirdddd before. but i keep seeing this recurring thing that's like. "everything is much clearer without glasses, actually".
