Guidelines (when requesting for fics):
DO NOT ask for smut for REAL people! I feel extremely uncomfortable writing smuts for real, alive, living, breathing humans.
I have no problem writing smut for fictional characters, so you can ask for those ones!
I have no problems writing swf fics for the groups i stan or anime characters.
When it comes to smuts, anything is fine, dubcon, non con or stalker or whatever.
If i feel uncomfortable writing a fic, i will address it, so dont worry.

for now this is it, as said before, this will be updated whenever i feel the need to do so

giving pokemon teams to d20 characters!
The Unsleeping City S1 & S2
pt 2/?
part 1 || part 2
second verse same as the first, check out part one for my guidelines on how i made the teams! short version is only 4 pokemon per team, no repeats, and little to no shinies or legendaries
fun fact the unsleeping city was actually the first season i thought of pokemon for, and why i started to make teams in the first place!
i also like unsleeping city a uhhh a lot less than fantasy high so my fantasy high picks (part 1) are a lot more thought out and maybe cooler than these picks but hey i'm still happy with these!
oh also unsleeping ch. 1 and 2 spoilers ahead of course :]
Sophia
Purugly - symbolizing La Gran Gata! also it just feels like Sophia would have this pokemon it fits her Vibe
Furfrou (Heart Trim) - she is a hair stylist!! of course she would have the hair stylized dog!!! she mainly keeps her as the heart trim but it doesnt 100 percent always stay that way
Mienshao - cool and cute monk pokemon for obvious reasons lol
Raticate - represents kugrash after he dies(?). shockingly the raticate and purugly get along well, and are actually pretty nice with each other
Ricky
Boltund - there’s no dalmatian pokemon (which there should be maybe) so this is the closest i got to representing Ox! boltunds are VERY fast though so it still works lol
Blastoise - what better pokemon to have as a fireman than a giant water tank? probably got a squirtle when he was young and it evolved as he grew up :]
Kleavor - represents the fireman ax he carried
Machamp - Ricky is all about exercise so naturally i gave him the super buff pokemon. they probably train together and like do pushups or whatever fit people do
Kingston
Dachsbun - representing both the dog he gets in season 2 along with bagels in general, which seems to be a symbol for him (see the vox populi pin)
Drampa - similar to how i imagine the dragon of bleaker’s street would look, it also just feels like an old man of a pokemon (which kingston is)
Blissey - i like to imagine doctors/nurses get blisseys once they like are hired in healthcare to help their trainers with the patients (and also blisseys are absolute TANKS in terms of defense)
Magnezone - Kingston did that cool tech shutdown/takeover thing in one of the season one battles at the stock market and i thought that was cool. and also it fits because Vibes
Misty / Rowan
Gardevoir - a beautiful pokemon that always looks youthful, just like Rowan
Primarina - a singing pokemon that wouldve helped Misty practice her singing for plays
Meloetta - same reason, a singing pokemon lol
Scream Tail - rather than a standard Jigglypuff i would like to imagine an ancient thousand year old one was much more interesting! it also ties to Rowan's reincarnation thing she has goin' on
Iga
Goodra - a dragon to represent the storybook dragon inside of the chest she has! i didn’t do charizard because i saved that one for a future season team (take a guess who)
Gimmighoul - a chest pokemon because. she. she has a chest thats very important to her. yeah!!!
Perrserker - pure vibes i just feel she would have this pokemon lol
Hatterene - also mostly vibes, she Is a psychic so it works but yeah she gets a hatterene because i say so
Kugrash
Rapidash (Galarian) - unicorn totem
Unfezant (Male) - spicy pigeon totem
Ladyba - juicy cockroach totem (i didn’t do kricketune because i want to use it for a later team. can you again guess who)
Arceus - our first true legendary! kugrash literally becomes omnipotent so you know what he can have pokemon god on his team
Cody
Aegislash (Shiny) - it’s literally The sword pokemon of course Cody would have one. it’s shiny because if he spent a long time growing his real sword collection he can spend a long time finding a shiny. also it’s black and red like Thirsting Blade Dark Excalibur Mega Genesis
Grimmsnarl - the most emo pokemon ive ever seen so of course Cody gets it. as a treat
Houndoom - “but aloe why didn’t you give this to Fig?!” shshhhshshhhh. listen my sweet child. houndoom is for the emo boys. which Cody is. and also also it parallels the other paladin on the team, Ricky, and his dog pokemon, Boltund. does that make sense….
Corviknight - emo pokemon #3 on the team. also knight means sword so in a roundabout way it’s another sword related pokemon
Pete
Polteageist - Pete has a teapot in his official art and while yes. it is blue and so is the non-shiny form i think purple in general fits Pete a LOT more than blue so here we are lol
Musharna - literally the dream pokemon this was an easy peasy pick and very obvious
Hypno - another dream-like pokemon but much more scary to maybe represent a sort of nightmare compared to the sweeter dreams from Musharna
Vivillion (Garden Pattern) - representing Luna his green butterfly familiar! i feel like everyone (including the PCs) forget Luna exists and it makes me a little sad :(
=====
that's all for this new york team! i plan on doing a crown of candy next :]
have any suggestions or changes you would make? let me know i would love to hear your takes on the teams :D!

[ID: An image showcasing two Dureena Nafeel scenes from Babylon 5's Crusade. In one, she looks up to a member of her species the crew had come across even though she believed everyone else to be extinct. In another, she sits on a tall ledge far above the ground and looks outward. The text overlaid reads: "Dureena Nafeel remains one of my favorite characters in the Babylon 5 universe. She was so delightfully feral and had a tragic backstory that made her found family moments with the Excalibur crew hit hard. I wish we'd gotten more of her!" End ID.]

Hi hi! So uhhh I’m having a little trouble with Hiccup’s belt placements for his tloa outfit (I’m making refs for myself) and I was hoping that maybe you could give me some pointers? You can just ignore this if you want lololol-
Tbh I didn’t really know what I was doing for the belt placements either laskdfjklasdfjlkasdjf you don’t need to stick to the comic designs! I drew it while I was still in the early stages of planning the story, so there wasn’t much research behind them.
I can make a guide later, I’ve been meaning to touch up their costumes now that I have a better idea of what’s going to happen in the story. I’ll give you my general thought process for both of them based on the current chapters:
Jack (who probably gets the most costume changes in the story):
Hawthorne outfit: basically his canon human design from rotg plus shoes lol
Bard uniform: blue colour palette, large brimmed hat with a big blue feather. The prototype’s in the comic, but there aren’t many guidelines around it. His hands aren’t wrapped in bandages as of now ever since his initial calluses from Excalibur healed
Work clothes: a simple blue tunic, tied off at the waist with a belt or sash up to you, similar worn brown pants and boots from his Hawthorne outfit
MORE TBD
Hiccup:
Princely Attire (TM): fancy royal tunic and silk sash, circlet crown with a small ruby at the center that fits over his forehead. fancy shmancy cape held up by fancy shmancy clasps.
Civilian disguise: Bunny’s oversized white shirt that hangs loose off him, tied off with one of Bunny’s green sashes, long brown cloak. Pants and shoes are up to you, but my thought is that they’re a bit nicer in quality than what civilians wear
Adventuring gear: I’m not satisfied with the comic prototype, but it’s supposed to be fine-quality leather armour and a cape. Metal arm-bracers and grieves. Meant for a swordsman, ya know? Otherwise the interpretation’s up to you! When he eventually gets his prosthetic in the story it’s not far off from his canon one in the films.
MORE TBD
Sorry that’s not much help visually for now! Go wild though, don’t feel like you’re limited by what I’ve drawn!

Carrd banner design for our own multi-muse blog @midnyte-muses
This fits in with @rcsea 's paid "DIVINE COMEDY" theme because it literally is the same size as the banner that fits in their theme. (Aka: I wasn't about to check sizing i just made new layers in affinity lol.)
Some icons are made by @rpicons that were used. (Sorry if i wasn't meant to resize, my inner graphic designer nerd with the 3 year degree who majored in EVERYTHING HAS TO FIT IN MY FREAKING RULER LINES - kinda went nuts.)
Unsure at this stage if the HAZBIN ones were ours (as in capsekai) or @rpicons
SOME of the Rogue/Remy ones are ours, because we're nerds and we have an affinity for pre 00's art from Andy Kubert, Jim Lee etc etc. (Excalibur R/R is great tho, like new school R&R is just MUCHO <3 )
Tumblr media
Here was the test before I realized that the 2nd line of text was utterly unreadable and that my top line of text was NOT ALIGNING WITH THE RULERS I MADE to match the icons organizing.
Tumblr media
See? SEE THE HELL I PUT MYSELF THROUGH? - (Keep in mind: I'd already done Cursed Cat alastor art for our hazbin blog @hazbinatdusk today XD - AND done groceries, and slept like crap... XD)
Next up: MY NASTY LAYER FORMATTING:

I painstakingly set them up to be nearly 100% even on guidelines personally set by me lol. Sadly I DONT KNOW if AFFINITY lets you keep guiderulers, if THEY DO and you would like a tutorial on how I DID this plus where I Got my texture resources from? PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Finance, Hedge Funds and Leadership
Tumblr media
Adriana Kostov has always had an interest in global markets. She speaks with Jonathan Jackson about finance, hedge funds and being a leader.
Most teenagers going into university have a vague idea of where their university course will take them. Some know what they want to do, but have little idea of how to achieve their goals. Others, who study law or medicine, know exactly what they are studying for. But if you study finance also, you have such a broad church of subjects that banking, marketing and possibly even a career in hedge funds are all on the cards.
If you have that range of career paths to choose from, choosing what is right for you can be difficult. For Adriana Kostov, the choice was a simple one; her interest in the corporate world and particularly how finance has a global impact, as well as how law integrates into this has led to a stellar career. Currently Adriana hold positions as the Director of Compliance and General Counsel for global macro currency hedge fund firm Excalibur Funds Management as well as the first Australian Regional Director of the Hedge Fund Association. It has also been a quick rise through the corporate ranks for Adriana and she represents the value of knowing your mind and having direction.
Her career effectively began when she entered the Law/Commerce undergraduate program at the University of Western Australia.
“In choosing the degree I felt it would give me the best exposure to the broader corporate world. I was very interested in international trade and trade relations in the global environment. I wanted to understand what are the key drivers for the Australian economy and how we attract foreign investment.”
The best way to understand foreign investment was to take up a position in a political environment.
Adriana worked for the Electoral Commission, as well as the WA Attorney General, Mr Jim McGinty, whilst studying at university.
Her tasks were to assist in policy development and research various legal methods, which she found quite interesting. The significance of that role was that it shaped the way she saw business.
“It definitely had an influence, because when you work within the government you do start to understand the processes that are involved in various decision making. Generally speaking there are quite a lot of protocols and levels of decision making that are required. The other thing of interest is the policy guidelines set by the government, as well as future initiatives on which the government is embarking. So, when making a commercial decision, one thing that I think about now is what is the government policy on this issue and what is the likelihood of this commercial decision being successful in light of that?”
That level of policy knowledge is invaluable to those who are commercially minded. Adriana believes that her time in government has had an extremely strong influence on the way she’s approached financial ethical issues and interpreted Australian investment guidelines.
“With the Hedge Fund Association, it’s obviously had quite a strong influence. There is a strong focus on government and regulatory affairs in the US and that was part of the attraction in bringing the group to Australia. Intrinsic to my work are Australian policies related to international finance and investment and the governance around that.”
Her time in government worked as a facilitator for Adriana’s drive to succeed in the corporate world. Moving on from the Electoral Commission, and graduating from the University of Western Australia, she wanted to get more involved in the day-today decision making of corporate Australia, while dealing with the money markets and the legal markets.
Hence, her applying, and being accepted into, the Macquarie Graduate Program.
“It was a fantastic experience, just in the sense that there were a small group of us nationally that had been accepted into the program. We had quite an intensive training course in the first three months learning the basics of financial modelling. At the time I met a really great group of very like-minded and very ambitious people, many of whom I am still in contact with today.”
Macquarie gave Adriana the financial grounding to cover any technical and analytical financial challenge.
Both Macquarie and the Electoral Commission were high intensity environments, but that didn’t phase a young Adriana.
“If you find yourself in that position, you probably have quite a good understanding of what is involved and the high pressure environment that goes along with it including the long hours and the level of responsibility. So, you just need to put your head down and really focus on the task at hand and there will be competing priorities at all times, but you just need to learn how to try and identify key issues, and what needs to be done.”
Adriana also credits the strength of supervisors who were willing to take the time to teach as well as let her discover things for herself and learn how to solve particular issues on her own.
“In terms of what I’ve learned about myself, it’s that you really need to think on your own two feet. You need to keep on challenging yourself because at the end of the day there always is a solution to any problem.”
Challenges are another element in business that drives Adriana and she thrives on them.
“I like to continuously learn and I think I tend to become attracted to certain situations that facilitate continuous growth and development. Having that type of mentality attracted me to some environments where I really needed to apply my skills, but then also learn new skills to be able to perform well in certain situations.”
Particularly in recent years, Adriana has learnt a lot about leadership.
“In terms of leadership, one of the most important skills is to be able to listen really well. And when I say ‘listen’, you really need to understand what message another person is trying to put across, so you need to take the moment to think about where the person is coming from and what is their perspective on a particular issue. I believe, if you listen and then you understand what exactly the issue is, you will probably find a mutually beneficial solution quicker and they’ll respect you a bit more.”
According to Adriana, leadership is also about identifying key critical business issues and looking at things from the top down, while understanding the technical side of the business.
“Anywhere that I have worked, there has been a need to understand what somebody might be doing ‘on the ground’ so to speak, in the day-to-day operations of the particular company, whether that be out on a mine site, or in the administrative team. If you don’t also understand that part of your business, then you might be making decisions at the top, which aren’t necessarily the best decisions to make.”
This isn’t always easy, but if you try to take some time to speak with staff, you can generally understand what is happening in their sector of the business. You can find the cause of an issue or problem and discover what other perspectives exist towards it.
“Then, in terms of coming up with the solution, it is easier to make decisions that will keep the wider business stakeholders happy, but also be in keeping with your business objectives,” Adriana says.
The current phase of Adriana’s life is just as busy as the previous phase, but she is able to utilise her leadership and business skills across a range of areas.
Her interest in global markets saw her bring the Hedge Fund Association to Australia.
HFA is an organisation that represents hedge funds, service providers and investors. Adriana is the head of the Australian chapter.
“The Hedge Fund Association was very keen to launch into Australia, as Australia is viewed favourably in international financial markets. My initial steps will be to build relationships with government departments, investment managers and other key stakeholders in the alternative investment/hedge fund industry.”
She is juggling her duties as head of the Australian chapter with her role at Excalibur. She joined Excalibur to work with a highly experienced team of professionals. She noted that Excalibur Funds Management has a solid operational platform that could perform well in difficult markets.
Excalibur is an investment manager that specialises in the Australian Dollar, and has already attracted international interest. They have recently expanded into New York and many of their investors are international institutional investors. “Excalibur combines what I’ve learned and what I’ve originally wanted to do in my career, which was look at financial markets, look at government policy and international investment,” Adriana says.
“I’m finding it’s a culmination of everything I wanted to do. I deal with the US regulatory environment, I’m dealing with European laws and regulation regarding hedge funds and hedge fund investments. Then also, there are the day-to-day economic activities.”
There is a lot on Adriana’s plate, but she puts it down to the nature of work she does. “It’s the nature of the industry – I really enjoy it, and, at the end of the day, you just do what you have to do.” Adriana is one to never stop learning and believes there is always something useful to learn. She likes the dynamic environments, the institutions, the global markets and the impact she feels she can make in each.
She is busy, but that doesn’t matter. She knows it is that mindset that has brought her from the University of Western Australia to where she is now.
Adriana attributes her success to patience, perseverance and being able to listen and work on a team. Most importantly she knows what she wants and she goes for it.
“You live once. So do it well.”
Adriana’s keys to success
1. Never stop learning.2. Aim to make decisions that add value to an organization.3. Give constructive feedback and also ask for feedback on your own performance.4. Respect the views of others (even if you don’t agree with them).5. Old-fashioned hard work and perseverance is a must – there are no short-cuts to success

I hope you don't mind me dropping asks on you every day? Anyways, a general question on modern-day attempts at using existing Pulp Heroes; do you think there is value in setting such tales in the modern day, rather than being period pieces? And if one does do so, do you think the best approach is to go full setting update, or to somehow translate the characters into the modern day, or to go the Legacy route?
I eagerly look forward to answering all kinds of questions, so don’t hesitate to send any my way!. Any feedback or excuse I get to go off on a subject is extremely appreciated.
Okay so on to your question:
Tumblr media
...Man, that really seems like the billion dollar question when it comes to the pulp heroes, isn’t it? The one at least that every conversation regarding adapting these characters, giving them reboots or new stories, seems to inevitably get stuck on: Should these characters be left as is, or modernized? Is there any point to trying to modernize them when often, at least in the public view, the only thing that separates them from being diet superheroes is their time period? Can these characters even survive as anything other than historical footnotes if they don’t move past the trappings of time holding them back? I’ve been very firmly on both sides of the question at different points and I think every answer inevitably brings up solutions and problems of it’s own.
For the moment, I’m going to start by saying that it’s something of a case by case basis. For example, The Scarlet Pimpernel is a timeless archetype, but one who’s specific characterization and history is so tied up to it’s time period that it’s far better to just reimagine the Pimpernel into a different character set in a different time, than to try and remove the Blakeneys from their time period, likewise with characters who cross into historical fantasy like Conan or western characters, where they have such strongly defined settings and playgrounds that you’d be losing much by removing them from it.
But on the other hand, you have characters like The Phantom, or The Avenger, who very clearly could exist at just about any point in time and don’t have any specific complications holding them to the 30s (in fact The Phantom was arguably designed for this, being he kickstarted the whole legacy superhero concept). A lot of the times, people seem to think or insist that certain pulp characters cannot be separated from their time periods, even when they were well on their way to doing so before some unfortunate cancellation. The Shadow, for example. Gibson had no problems updating the character’s adventures to the 60s for the Belmont series, and if The Shadow had maintained the kind of continuous publication that Batman and Superman had, I have no doubt whatsoever that nobody would even peg him as a character that belongs to the 30s and the 30s only, even if a lot of important aspects of his character are tied up in 30s America and The Great War and whatnot.
To try and streamline this response into something more general, I’m going to state that, yes, I do think it’s a case by case basis where some characters don’t work as well outside their time periods, and others should have left them ages ago, but in general? I think most of the pulp heroes would stand to benefit much more from being set, not just in modern times, but outside of time. Or at least, outside of a specific time period being something that defines and entraps them. Pretty much none of these characters, outside of historical fantasy examples like Conan or characters whose genres are locked into specific past time periods like cowboys, were intended to be period pieces, and yet that’s what they became, because time has been extremely cruel to the pulp heroes in many ways.
To bring up superheroes briefly, while I maintain that I think the real secret to making pulp heroes work and achieve success again is to distance them from superheroes, or at least the popular blockbuster superheroes, as much as possible, the superheroes have been around running the show for a while now and experimenting a lot as an inescapable facet of pop culture that's worked out monstrously well so far,nso clearly there’s a lot to learn there. The superheroes by and large belong in shared universes held tight by copyright where the weight of accumulating timelines inevitably forces them to either undergo reboots every couple of years, or endure constant quiet retcons snipping away at continuity so the cohesive “Superhero Universes” can function. But there’s no such thing as some big “Pulp Hero Universe” existing anywhere near the same capacity, there’s works gesturing to the idea like the Wold Newton Universe and LOEG and Dynamite’s shared author works largely scrapped together from separate sources all drifting apart, and most of these characters have largely fallen through the cracks of copyright law and into outright non-existence, or are halfway there. Very few modern instances of "cinematic universes" outside of the MCU work, so what we do instead is go the opposite route, closer to DC's "throw anything at the wall to see what sticks" approach.
What I’m getting to is, I could flip through the pages of Jess Nevins’s Encyclopedia of Pulp Heroes, pick about 3 or 5 random characters, put them in a story regardless of whatever time period they used to be a part of, and make something out of it, without anyone stopping to question “Hey, hold up, why is Joel Saber not on Victorian England? Why are Uirassu and Tom Shark in a loving relationship when they don’t even belong in the same decade? Why did you turn Allan Crystal into a talking sparrow? You are betraying the source material, these characters don’t work outside of it”. Because nobody has any idea who those guys are, they might as well be just original names I made up (I didn't, btw), and nobody has any reason to care, they will only care if they read good, engaging stories with strong characterizations that give them a reason to be invested. And if achieving that requires ditching adherence to the source material (which doesn’t even exist anymore for at least a third of these characters), I cannot see that as a bad thing.
He's nowhere near the ballpark of pulp heroes but I'm going to bring up King Arthur as an example because he’s been on my mind today.
Tumblr media
All of these, and countless others, are King Arthur. I’m no expert in Arthuriana, but from what I’ve gathered, I’d make a pretty good guess that one of the main reasons why King Arthur has been able to endure so strongly, and have so many variations that we have an entire area of study dedicated just to untangling those messes we call Arthuriana, has less to do with his historical or mythological importance (you hardly see that many stories about Cú Chulainn), but because the lore and imagery and events surrounding King Arthur have so utterly transcended the source material that people still dispute what the source material even was, or if he was a real person, or if he was created by the Welsh and stolen by Brits, and etc, and because he's completely free for any writers and artists to mold and use to anything they see fit.
King Arthur is not so much a character as much as he’s a sandbox that literally anyone can play in and reshape as they see fit, with no shortage of existing events and characters and magical items that you can treat as either essential staples, or guidelines and suggestions at best. I have three separate ideas for King Arthur as a big shark man in a greaser outfit who yields an oversized hair comb with fishhooks attached as Excalibur, one where he’s a monstrous dragon who sleeps in the ruin of his former kingdom guarding the only remaining memory of Guinevere left, and one where he’s a disembodied consciousness inside a giant mechanical bear. I could pick any of these and make a story out of them, or insert these into a story, any time I want, and nobody could stop me.
Point is, I think a lot, even most, of the pulp heroes would benefit from having some kind of “no-holds-barred, just do anything you want out of whatever you find interesting about the original” approach, a lot more so than the superheroes already do, because if there’s a single group of characters nowadays that best embodies an “anything goes” approach, a group that is almost entirely in public domain nowadays save for it’s biggest icons and therefore is already available for people to take and spin any way they want, it’s the pulp heroes. These characters have been in stasis for so long, or all but faded into nothingbbut mere footnotes in encyclopedia or records in libraries not even available online, and sometimes not even that. Most of their fanbases have largely died off and they are nowhere near close to gaining new ones, and our changing media tastes call for contrasts as much as it calls for profit. No sensible person would invest in most of these properties as they stand now, which is precisely what ultimately gives them the freedom to be anything at the conceptual stage. The only thing that really, really holds them back is time, which, again, has really not been kind to them. So why adhere to it? Screw time and whatever power it’s long held over these characters, let’s get weird with it.
Tumblr media
So if I have to choose between “full setting update, translating the characters to modern day, or the Legacy route”, all three of which are perfectly viable depending on the character, I think the best option, generally speaking, is full setting update, if only because the setting should never be the main priority in the first place. The setting, like everything else, is there to serve the story and the author’s needs and wants, and I’m of the opinion that the setting should always primarily exist in service of the characters, as my writing and my favorite writings are all character centered above all else.
I think putting the pulp heroes in radically different time periods and settings could even yield interesting results. Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal stars a caveman Conan/Tarzan type protagonist interacting with dinosaurs, Alan Moore’s V for Vendetta is a Shadow-esque character set loose in a dystopian future, Grendel is the Fantomas of 1980s New York, and so on. The precedent is there and I think it can be taken much further.
Really I think a lot of the problems and arguments that have arisen over the years in regards to adapting the pulp heroes often result of people overthinking things, lord knows I do enough of that all the time. I really think it’s just something that only seems impossible because it hasn’t really been done yet. Of course, in regards to The Shadow I obviously have a whole different text as to whether I’d want him to be adapted or not, but in general, my ultimate response to what you asked is just do whatever you think is gonna make the story better and the characters more interesting. A.K.A, do whatever you want.

I’d argue that yes having made that kind of art and posted about that is harmful to people who are triggered by that topic. I personally do find it repulsive. I wouldn’t say A LOT of media is built around that topic, and I also would say most people are not into that shit. Not sure what ncis has to do with it? But yeah GOT can go too. If you’re unbothered that’s good for you. And I won’t send you another msg. (Also not sure what you mean by other anon msgs? — never sent anything else…)
Thanks for sending another message. I had seen a couple other anonymous messages that were really similar to what you had sent, so I assumed you had been the same person.
That is true that the topic matter can be triggering for people that may have had traumatic experience or even just have a very strong reaction to the matter. A lot of people are affected by different things, and that's real, but to have everything catered to one's specific needs is unattainable. The thing about this is that there is a tagging system and following system in place for a reason. Whether it be incest, non-con, and even pedophilia, those are things that can be filtered and blocked. I don't condone any of these things, but I rarely see them due to the way I use social media. I may also have this opinion due to AO3's content guidelines. I don't believe AO3 should start having stricter guidelines or terms of conditions even though I know there are things I personally don't agree with there. It's really hard to explain this opinion in writing.
Incest is pervasive and here's some of the big ones I can think of that have incestuous relationships that aren't set up as "crimes" per say;
Old Boy, Game of Thrones (so many ships), The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Van Helsing, Excalibur, Zathura, Star Wars, Back to the Future, and even High School Musical had some uncomfortable songs implying a weird relationship between siblings! And then if I went into Asian, specifically Japanese media this list would go on forever.
The issue with incest and even pedophilia and rape, is that there is so much media out there that shows it as taboo, but also appealing to people in a way that just pushes the boundary of not too much, but just enough.
It's a hard topic to discuss and honestly if I were younger, I probably would have been quick to unfollow and want to seem not problematic in any way. But this matter is deeper than just a couple posts that someone posted in 2014. But again thank you for being respectful in your response.

When Galactus attempts to consume the Phoenix, all the stars in the galaxy start going out and the rest of the celestial beings start shaming Galactus like he’s a group of soccer moms ignoring social distancing guidelines by meeting in a parking lot and shouting at each other through their windows during pandemic because they are so bored with their lives they can’t go a few months without leaving the house. This is enough to stop Galactus’s attack on the Phoenix, but god damn it, none of this makes sense. The Phoenix Force has manifested itself in Rachel, having been with her mother in an alternate dimension, and here we’re saying if you snuff out the Phoenix Force in Rachel, then you snuff out all of the cosmic energy in the universe. Doesn’t the Earth-616 have its own Phoenix Force still lingering out there some place? Or is there only a single Phoenix Force for all the dimensions, and after Earth-616 Jean Grey killed herself, then the Phoenix transported itself into Rachel’s dimension? Man none of this Phoenix stuff has ever made very much sense to me. (Excalibur #25 – Aug 1990)

Don’t look for Venec in Arthurian lore. He - like the Innkeeper, like Arthur’s mistresses, like peasants Guethenoc and Roparzh - is not a noble, not part of any family, royal or otherwise. He often acts as go-between when someone needs something sold to them and his résumé is ridiculously well-stocked: he has sold weapons, torture implements, slaves, and lemons; he’s been a pimp, a smuggler, a bookie, a highway robber, a fence. Man has his fingers in many pies, some legit, some not. He’s also in possession of a certain amount of weaselly charm and a few guidelines - if not exactly rules, per se - about never robbing, maiming, or killing anyone he’s in business with.
Despite the fact that Arthur occasionally has him thrown into the dungeon when his “business” involves illegal and immoral stuff, and has to bodily wrestle him out of bedrooms or pantries Venec gatecrashes in Kaamelott, there is a fondness between the two men that becomes apparent (even transparent) when Arthur puts Excalibur back into the stone and relinquishes the throne. Venec sometimes often forlornly states a few times that he really does prefer when the king is Arthur.
He’s also the one who, when Lancelot goes full tyrant and sends men after the Knights and a barely recovering Arthur, risks everything - his freedom and his life - to put Arthur into a boat and sail him away from Kaamelott and, hopefully, to safety. Which has two consequences for yours truly: 1) shipping them like mad, and 2) worrying a lot for Venec in the upcoming film, because what is the life of one little conman worth in the grand scheme of things?
(last one in my “Kaamelott karacters” series for now, but I might do some more in the future!)

Leading the Surge: Tom DeFalco era
Tumblr media
The year was 1987 when Tom DeFalco was announced as the new Editor-in-Chief of Marvel Comics after the sudden termination of Jim Shooter from the same post
DeFalco, a veteran writer with Marvel at the time, was a story-teller whose work for Spider-Man, Thor, FF and The Thing was gaining traction among fans. According to the late Mark Gruenwald, (unlike his predecessor) he didn’t have a vision of his own for Marvel which made him open to other peoples’ ideas about the company’s core products i.e. superheroes
DeFalco accommodated others’ visions while ensuring that quality content was delivered as the final outcome with the story or the arc reaching a resolution as Shooter had always insisted. Compared to Tom, Shooter was more on the Management side of Comic Books Publishing business. The latter ensured that books reached the market on time, editorial guidelines were being adhered to by staff, Creator rights (with respect to their creations) were honored and (where possible) a collaboration be done to increase company’s profitability (Secret Wars with Mattel, G.I.Joe and Transformers with Hasbro) but when it came to DeFalco, he made way for new talent like Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane, Erik Larsen, Rob Liefeld and Marc Silvestri to name a few. This new talent’s work proved to be an instant hit among readers so much so that a title was able to establish a world record in 1991, proving more successful than McFarlane’s Spider-Man: Torment that was released a year before
These new artists and writers were paired with established legends and the result was one great success after another. New characters were introduced whose popularity hasn’t waned to this day:
Venom
Darkhawk
The New FF (Joe Fixit Hulk, Spider-Man, Wolverine and Ghost Rider)
Carnage
Deadpool
Domino
Thunderstrike
Tumblr media
Anniversaries:
An important juncture in Marvel’s history were the anniversaries of its flagship characters. The company was 50 years old by 1989 but a there were at least two generations of readers who had grown up with characters from the Golden and Silver ages. A lot of work was produced and anniversaries offered a tremendous opportunity to Marvel Comics to celebrate their superheroes but also chart future editorial strategy with respect to them
During Tom’s tenure, Captain America was 50 years old while Iron Man, Fantastic Four, Hulk, Spider-Man celebrated their 30th Anniversaries but the grandest of celebrations were reserved for X-Men and Avengers that saw title cross-overs, lots of gimmick covers with some of the best stories ever told and related limited series
But the most successful of anniversary celebration at the time was of X-Men. With the amount of special editions released (limited series and one shots), the Fatal Attractions cross-over was the one that stood out. Each issue was embossed with a holographic card and it served as the conclusion to Chris Claremont and Jim Lee’s Mutant Genesis saga
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Merchandizing:
As a franchise, the X-Men’s popularity reached the peak with a total number of seven X-Family titles being published on a monthly basis as on-going series but the least talked about feature of DeFalco’s tenure is the level of merchandizing which saw Marvel action figures by ToyBiz and launch of Marvel Universe & X-Men Trading Cards
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The late 80s was a booming time for Video Gaming as the shift was occuring from Arcade gaming to gaming consoles which can be played at home and Marvel at the time, came out with video games that were connected with much of their popular comic book storylines. These games were launched for NES, SNES, Gameboy and SEGA Genesis as these consoles dominated the scene back then but what is more surprising is the diverse range of games that were out there from Marvel. Punisher had a video game and so did Wolverine as well as Silver Surfer besides the flagships like X-Men, Avengers and Spider-Man
Tumblr media
As if this wasn’t enough, Marvel Comics were now being widely distributed and sold in far away markets such as the Middle East and Asia. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the seeds for Marvel becoming one of the most preferred brands in the world were planted during Tom’s era. This was a time when there was no Cinematic Universe nor was there a thing called the internet
The DeFalco Legacy:
Looking back at the DeFalco era, one cannot find a time period which is a close equal to this one. Tom’s scorecard out of all the Editor’s that preceded him is most balanced: His leadership & advisory influenced positive outcomes for Marvel comics on all fronts. It wouldn’t be an over-statement to say that the DeFalco Era in Marvel Comics history remains the most successful...overall. Maybe the reason behind it was his knowledge about the art of story-telling and how it could resonate with the readers on various levels to the extent that they would be willing to pay the extra buck for merchandize besides the comics. His stamp on Marvel’s present can be seen on Amazon, Facebook Groups, Instagram accounts that offer comics, tpbs and merchandize that was produced during his era
If Stan Lee era is a yardstick for Creative Story Telling or Content Creation that resonates with readership and Jim Shooter’s era is the yardstick for Best Managerial Practice in Comic Book publishing business then Tom DeFalco’s era is the yardstick for overall success (incl. huge financials)
End Note:
Tumblr media
There are 3 main facets of Tom DeFalco’s era:
If you are a Spider-Man fan, his stories are at par with greats like Stan Lee, Roger Stern, Gerry Conway etc.
As an Editor, he led the process of building up on the successes of Shooter era to the extent that Marvel was able to go Public (due to successful merchandizing and increased comic book sales)
Again as an Editor, his leadership resulted in the following great content from Marvel:
Kraven’s Last Hunt (Spider-Man)
X-Men: Fall of the Mutants
Iron Man: Armor Wars
Incredible Hulk: Beyond Redemption
Launch of Excalibur, Wolverine and Punisher: War Journal ongoing series

RoseGarden Week Day 2:🌹 October 28th: Stars
Heads up! minors keep on Scrolling
“Are…Are we sure this is appropriate?”
That was probably the fifth or sixth time Oscar had asked that. This night alone, that is.
The woman applying makeup to his face rolled her eyes and applied the second fake sideburn to the side of his face.
“Yes, it’s appropriate,” she said, “We’ve checked you out for STDs from head to toe. You’re clean.”
“It’s not that,” Oscar said, fidgeting in his seat, “it’s just…”
He turned around and faced the mirror on the dressing room vanity.
“What if…what if someone I know sees this?”
The woman sighed.
“It’s not going to come to that.” she put her hand on his shoulder, “this film will be for your private collection. It won’t be advertised on our website or released on the internet in any way. We’re not that kind of company.”
Oscar looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
“If you’re worried about having a job after this, I do make up for major motion pictures.”
“Really?”
“I was a student of Rick Baker.”
“The werewolf guy?”
“That’s right. Now, hold still while I give you your unibrows.”
Oscar wasn’t entirely sure why he needed them. Sideburns, unibrows, and yellow contacts certainly didn’t seem like something the star of an adult video would wear.
“If you’re wondering about the makeup, our director is pretty…”
The woman paused, probably trying to find the appropriate word.
“Out there.”
“Oh.”
“She used to be a performer herself.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, she still takes parts from time to time. But mostly she just directs and produces now.”
“What about you?”
“Hmmm…?”
“Are you a… an adult performer, too?”
“Yep. Worked with the director a few times before, too.”
“Really? You just seem so…so…”
“Normal? Sure. Just because I like to wear cat ears while getting ploughed doesn’t mean I don’t have a life outside of it.”
Oscar’s eyes widened. He wasn’t an aficionado, but he knew one star that had cat ears as a gimmick.
“You’re Kitty Loggins!”
The woman smiled.
“Not when I’m off camera. Here, I’m just Blake Belladonna.”
“Oh,” Oscar said, “well, it’s nice to meet you, Blake. I’m Oscar.”
“Nice to meet you too Oscar.”
The woman finished gluing the fake hair between his eyebrows and reached for a triangular piece of fabric that looked suspiciously like an animal ear.
“Almost done, just hold still for a moment.”
The people of the Beacon Adult Entertainment had been nothing but nice to him the whole time he’d been here. A far cry from the temple of debauchery he was expecting when he’d gotten here.
But still…
He’d entered the contest as a joke!
Enter now to win a shoot and a day with a Pornstar, the digital flyer had read in big carnival-style font. He was sure it was just a scam or something in that ballpark, since it had appeared in the part of his inbox marked as spam. He’d signed on the dotted digital line and beefed up his virus protection. In two weeks, he and his friends would be laughing about it, no sweat.
But a week and a half later, it had come in the mail.
Congratulations to our new winner, it said in gold foil, you’ve won an all-expenses paid trip to Los Angeles to spend a day with one of our performers at Beacon Adult Entertainment.
He’d almost choked when he finished reading the pass. What would his Aunt say?
It wasn’t like he was a regular patron of the salacious screen stories. Most of the time, it was just that he had to scratch an itch and he bought a dirty magazine with some of the money he’d saved up or watch a video online.
If she found out he’d entered a porn-related contest, even as a joke...
It had taken every bit of his guile and not inconsiderable innocent act to get his aunt to think he’d just won a vacation with no porn involved.
Now, she was asleep in a four star hotel across town while he was sitting in a studio dressing room, getting ready to have sexual intercourse with a total stranger. Thank God the BAE Agency had sent them a personal car and he hadn’t had to tell cab ‘can you take me to the place where they shoot porn?’
It’s not like he couldn’t back out. Nothing in the contest guidelines said that he couldn’t.
But going home meant they’d have to go leave so soon, his Aunt would get suspicious and that meant he might have to come clean to her about how he won this vacation.
“All done,” Blake said, turning Oscar around in his chair so he was facing the mirror, “what do you think?”
In all honesty, it wasn’t bad. He still looked like him, just a little hairier. And the false ears gave him a wolfy appearance.
“It’s pretty good.”
“I do my best. But you might want the brace yourself.”
Blake walked to the other side of the room and took a book from out of her bag.
“The director should be here any minute?”
Oscar frowned.
“Why would I need to brace—“
“Hell-ooo!”
A tall woman with a pair of aviator sunglasses and blonde hair as generous as her busom burst into the room with a sing-song shout. Judging by the t-shirt that read ‘trust me, I’m a director’ Oscar could probably guess who this was.
“So where’s our newest star?”
Blake pointed to where Oscar sat and the boy shrunk as the woman gazed at him from over the tip of her sunglasses.
“Well, aren’t you just the cutest little thing.”
The director pinched his cheek and Oscar felt the distinct need to commit seppuku.
“And, I think I have just the girl for you.”
“Yang,” Blake sighed, “Don’t do this again.”
“Do what?”
“This whole…matchmaker thing. Winter almost quit because of you.”
“But she didn’t.”
“I’m still surprised she and Qrow didn’t kill each other.”
“John Boorman did the same thing on Excalibur with Nicol Williamson and Helen Mirren.”
“Boorman didn’t need his actors to have sex with each other.”
The woman, Yang, waved her hand dismissively.
“Details, details…”
Yang grabbed (as in, physically picked him up like a package) Oscar and sat him down in the hallway.
“So, kid, you ready to get your mind blown?”
“No.” Oscar said, only half sure that was his answer.
“Perfect!” Yang said, ushering him in the direction of what he assumed was the set.
“I know you’re nervous,” she said, “that’s natural. You read the script?”
“Yeah, it’s…”
“Garbage, I know. Just give it your all and don’t worry about how you look. And before I forget, here’s your stage name. We were a little short on time, but I think we came up with something that suits you.”
The director, Yang, handed him what looked like a business card, which Oscar took. Half a second later, he stared at her, incredulous.
“Pino Largo!?”
“Oh, come on!” Yang said, slapping him on the back, “Everyone has names like that in this biz.”
“But why do I need a stage name? You’re not releasing this!”
Yang stopped and turned to look at him, confused.
“We’re not?”
Oscar shook his head.
“No!”
Yang recovered in record time.
“Well, we didn’t advertise a new release anyway. No skin off our nose.”
                                                        🌹 🌹 🌹
The story was simple. A filthy take on little red riding hood where Little Red fucked the wolf’s brains out. Oscar was just thankful he didn’t have to wear an old lady nightgown for his part. Just be ruefully naked under the sheets in a room full of people in a mock woodland cottage bedroom.
He shivered.
Did Yang have to pick a filming locale that was so drafty? If it wasn’t for the bedclothes, he’d be freezing his butt off.
“Sorry I’m late!”
A voice off to Oscar’s left caught his ear and he turned to see who it was. It sounded familiar.
Oscar turned his head enough to see a woman in a red jacket was hugging Yang. When she finally pulled away, Oscar could see her face.
Ruby Rose.
He was shooting a porno with Ruby Rose.
Suddenly, Oscar’s throat felt like a desert and his stomach like a butterfly habitat.
Of all the adult actresses he would have to appear in a film with, it had to be with the one he’d been crushing on since the first time he’d seen her in the swimsuit issue of a magazine!
When Oscar had told himself that he didn’t follow adult entertainment, he may not have been being completely honest with himself.
With her petite cutie pie looks and Hot Topic style, she was easily the most gorgeous creature he'd ever seen. Plus, she was always so funny in her videos and make-up videos. And she also knew karate, so that was kind of cool. And also…
“Ruby! Come meet your co-star!”
Damn that crazy director! Now they were coming this way.
Just play it cool, thought Oscar, It’s no big deal, it’s just the beginning of the end of your life.
Oscar tugged the covers up over his face so that his eyes were the only thing visible. He could just say he was method acting.
“Ruby, this is Pino. He’s the one who won the contest. Say hi, Pino.”
Oscar looked up at Ruby, sweet smiling and in no way sexual. Great, not only was she sexy, she was cute and just…
Say something Oscar, he thought, anything!
“You…you have silver eyes…”
Anything but that! Ruby frowned, obviously confused.
“They’re contacts for the shoot.”
Oscar didn’t have time to apologize or explain before Yang started shouting.
“Places, everyone! Ruby, get to costumes!”
Nice work, Casanova, Oscar thought as Ruby hurried off, if this wasn’t going to be awkward enough.
                                                        🌹 🌹 🌹
“Quiet on the set!” Yang shouted through a megaphone.
“And…ACTION!!!”
The door to the set opened and Ruby crept into the fake bedroom.
“Grandma,” she said in a faux-innocent voice, “I’m here!”
“I…I’m in the bedroom.” Oscar said. The script had said to use a fake old lady voice but Oscar had completely forgotten until after he’d said the line
“You know, the innocent angle might actually work for us here.” Oscar heard Yang whisper.
When Ruby skipped over to the side of the bed, Oscar could see what she was wearing. It was less in the sexy range and more in the cute range, with lace and ruffles but why did she have to wear it like a pro!?
“Grandma,” Ruby said, leaning in too close for Oscar’s comfort, “What big eyes you have!”
Was she wearing perfume? Was it cherry and rose scented?
“A-all the better to…to see you with…”
He swallowed. He was sure that right now he had the on-camera charisma of a pet rock. But backing out meant a disappointed aunt, so he might as well soldier on.
“My dear.”
If Ruby noticed the tremor in her voice, she gave no sign of it.
“And Grandma, what big ears you have!”
“All the better to hear you with.”
He hoped that nobody would notice how he didn’t add ‘my dear’ to that last line. He had like fifteen minutes alone with the script, so he hoped the crew would cut him a break.
“And Grandma…”
Here it comes, Oscar thought, the most embarrassing part of the script. Whoever wrote it deserves to be dipped in batter and deep fried! Ruby gripped the bed covers and Oscar braced himself.
“What a big…”
The moment the covers came off, Oscar fought down the urge to cover himself. No one’s going to see this, he told himself. When it’s over and they’ve given him a copy, he would find a dark place in the woods, bury it, and then never speak of this again. And from the expression on Ruby’s face, Oscar thought she’d appreciate that course of action.
“Oh…”
Oh? What was oh? Was that a good ‘oh’ or a bad ‘oh’?
“Oh my…”
What was she doing? Right now, she was just looking confused.
“That…that is a big cock.”
“What?”
Oscar looked down at himself. He’d always thought he was normal sized.
“I just…”
Ruby put hand on her head and chuckled.
“I kind of wish I could take a picture.”
Oscar sat up, intrigued by his co-star’s change in demeanor.
“Really?”
“Uh-huh. I didn’t know what I was expecting when we had that contest, but whoa!”
“Well, is it…is this okay?” Oscar asked hesitantly, shifting in his seat, “if you don’t want to do this, I get it.”
An amused smile turned up the right side of Ruby’s mouth.
“That's sweet of you, but don't worry. I’ve got enough talent for both of us.”
“Oh. Well that’s probably good, because…”
Oscar steeled himself. Of all the ways he could have pictured admitting this to a girl, this wasn’t one of them.
Because it’s…”
He said it quietly, hoping he wouldn’t have to repeat it. Ruby frowned.
“What was that?”
He repeated it, only slightly louder.
“One more time.”
“ I said…it’s…it’s my first time.”
For a moment, Ruby stared at him, and Oscar feared the worst. Before he could calculate where this situation fell on a scale of one to dying from embarrassment, Ruby covered her eyes and squealed loud enough to make Oscar jump.
“What!? What is it?”
“You’re just…so cute! With your wolf ears and your blushing and your big cock and…”
“This isn’t in the script but it is GOLD!” Yang whispered from offset.
Or at least Oscar thought that’s what he heard Yang say, but he was still hooked on what Ruby had called him.
Cute? Well, that was a boost to his self-confidence. It wasn’t every day a woman complimented your anatomy and said you were cute in the same conversation.
“Well, while we’re being honest,” said Oscar, “I’ve had a crush on you for a while now.”
Ruby blushed and fidgeted and Oscar’s heart went pitter pat.
“Oh really?”
“Yeah. I watch your interviews and read articles about you and I…um…
“It’d be a lie if I didn’t tell you I never… caught myself thinking about him when I shouldn’t.”
“Oh?”
Ruby crawled onto the bed, leaning forward into his personal space and Oscar felt his throat tighten, but in a good way.
“Then, what kinds of things does Mister Wolf think about Little Red?”
For a moment, Oscar’s mind went blank before a laugh finally burst from his throat, a laugh which Ruby caught.
“We’re not exactly staying in character here.” Ruby chuckled.
“It’s not going to be released anyway.” Oscar said.
Ruby smirked, her lips a hair’s breath away from the left side of his mouth.
“Well in that case…”
“WE’VE RENTED THIS PLACE FOR A LITTLE OVER TWO HOURS!” Yang shouted through her bullhorn, “LET’S SEE SOME ACTION!”
That was certainly a mood killer. Couldn’t that director just leave the cameras running and buzz off? It’s not like this was going to make anyone any money.
“I’m gonna do it!”
Oscar turned to the sound of Ruby's voice. His co-star had a look of iron resolve on her face.
“I’m gonna give you the ride of your life!”
Before he could respond, Ruby tackled him onto the mattress, smashing their lips together. Oscar's mind, meanwhile, was reeling, not able to form a cohesive question, let alone think through the sensations this girl on top of him was sending by running her hands up and across his exposed skin. Maybe he didn't have anything to worry about…

I Might do a mature version on AO3 later. Sorry this is so freaking late.

Do you think maybe in the far future you could helm a potential Soul Eater remake yourself? How would you do it?
I’ve never written a comic or animated TV episode, so, no, I don’t think I could helm a remake when there are people far more capable. I can definitely complain or provide editing from experience telling stories, so I would be happy to provide advice--but that’s back-seat editing, not talking from experience in TV production.
But yeah, I definitely have ideas how I would do it--even once plotting it out from Episode 1 to the end of the manga’s arc. Maybe I’ll make that a post in the future, but for now, I can say a few general guidelines I had in mind for an anime remake:
Don’t adapt the Prologue chapters again. While there are story-based improvements that could be made in adaptation and maybe animation and acting, I don’t know that it is worth doing from a storytelling perspective.
Instead, for Episode 1, start with an original story, a la how Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood did, that immediately introduces us to the main three meisters and foreshadows the threat posed by Medusa from the shadows and hints at the Kishin’s oncoming resurrection. Plus, throw in some other story details: introduce Team B sooner, show us what life is like in Death City, give us a hint what happened to the NOT cast after their manga wrapped up. Think “On Leather Wings” from Batman: The Animated Series where we see pre-Two Face Harvey Dent: from Episode 1, reward manga readers by hinting from the beginning what they already know--Lord Death can’t leave Death City, Kim is a witch, etc.
After that point, sure, re-adapt major stories from the first anime, perhaps condensed, such as Crona’s arrival, Tsubaki versus Masamune, but also do things the original anime and even the manga didn’t: add some details we never got confirmed before, original stories that aren’t just filler but actually do something in character development, world building, and plot progression that the manga failed to. Or re-tell the same stories from another POV: What about the Eruka episode from her point of view, or the Masamune story only from his point of view? In other words, make things different from the first anime but still adapting the manga, just in a way we didn’t see coming and which could fill in gaps the manga didn’t.
Adapt the manga’s version of Baba Yaga, then keep going. I could do a chapter-to-episode breakdown another time, but that’s more so to explain which chapters are adapted into which episodes, and that’s kind of lengthy for another post.
Finally, fix the ending. Seriously. No “Madness of Boobs” shit--no, I don’t care whether that’s not being absolutely faithful to the manga, that was in retrospect such a foolish ending and just showed how much of a hack Ohkubo is when he goes back to the same tired gags. Figure out something else: go Ghostbuster 2 for all I care, having the influence be the Madness of Love instead of the Madness of Boobs. And don’t undermine Kid’s mourning (you can still have Excalibur being a pain in the ass, just make it work for the scene). Yeah, I would like something less ambiguous about Soul and Maka’s relationship, but if you kept the manga ending, that’s okay.
But what I really want added: after the credits to the very last episode, do a tease for a future story with Crona’s recovery instead of just leaving them on the Moon. In other words, when it comes to Crona, use that as sequel-bait and, I hope, something to convince SquareEnix to get Ohkubo back to write a better sequel. (That has to be better than whoever at Kodansha is editing Ohkubo on Fire Force, because goddamn are they failing to rein in his bullshit.)
