I think it’s really interesting that the season where Skizz had some of the worst luck he’s ever had, is the same season where he made it his mission to spread positivity and kindness.

The second he started to introduce the idea to Scott in the first episode, Scott killed him before he could finish. And then Bdubs killed him DIRECTLY after. Specifically, he was slain by the boogeyman, the most direct force of the chaos of the Life Series.

The watchers are known to feed on chaos and suffering, so I wonder if they specifically targeted Skizz because he made it his mission to make everyone happier. Skizz has always died third. But this time, he died second. Arguably that’s as early as you can die if you’re not Jimmy.

And at the end of it all, did he go out trying to get more time? No, he gave up his last life so his team could continue. He did an excellent job of defying the nature of the games, even if he might have been taken out because of it.

I don't think I've been in a part of a fandom thats so starved for info/lore than Grian lore.. idk the name of this 'fandom' y'all it's like a mix of mainly Evo lore, but also some Martyn/Last Life lore? And also alot of Grian lore in season 9 mainly?

THE POINT IS. WATCHERS AND LISTENERS. RIGHT?

I'm going to be watching Grian's Evo series because I know he did some lore occasionally (or am I wrong?) And I think maybe Martyn did some? So I might watch his series lol or at least part of it.

But this is a cry for help. If any of you know of like, Watcher/Listener content, PLEASE send it to me! Literally anything. Fanfic, videos, livestreams, some written lore, Tumblr (or other social media) blogs that talk about Watchers/Listeners. I don't care what it is, just please send them all to me I NEED content.

I'm not in the Sanders Sides fandom anymore, but even when we went almost a year without new content, there was still fan stuff constantly being made. But this time? i finally managed To escape tHem, and find a privatE world where theY hopefully cAn't find me. i found a small cave in the side of a cliff, and though it's small, it's pRobably the safEst place to recover until i can make sure this world is actually hidden from them.

i managed to set up some small bits of equipment after Wrapping up my wing, And i Tried to make this spaCe a little bit more Homely. It's still very bare. i don't waNt to risk gettinG attached, incase they find me here.

it's Small but iT'll do for now, just until my wIng heaLs enough for me to scope out the area properLy.

But did he?

The Watchers feed on suffering, sorrow, despair. Do you think it bothers them series ends with a long, drawn-out battle or a sacrifice between allies? Maybe they don’t like it when it comes down to intentional sacrifice rather than a fight between friends. But both are still filled with sorrow. 

And so that’s exactly what Martyn didn’t give them. No goodbyes, no hesitation, no sad ending to satisfy the taste for drama. A quick, unsatisfying kill.

So, if this defied the watchers, why do we feel so unfulfilled? Its because we love the sad endings, we draw them, animate them, watch them again and again. 

But the original point of the watchers was to represent us, wasn't it?

okay wanda i had the world's busiest weekend so i was just staring at this ask for like a few days but YESSSS!

i'm always so happy when anything happens to reinforce jimmy's status as a listener/listener-aligned xD so many people forget my boy. Also, not to be someone who keeps bringing things back to my own fanfics, but it really reminded me of my Listener!Jimmy fic from last year where the Listeners spoke in Jimmy's head the entire time. Like hmm, maybe that's just something they can do,

Also, I like that Grian couldn't see Jimmy. Remember he was confused in the beginning that Jimmy could see him despite not appearing on the tab list? Spectators show up on the tab list normally. Jimmy didn't appear on the list and Grian was like, "I don't think you can see me" until Jimmy started saying what he was doing. Jimmy was logged on in spectator mode, but he was vanished which removed him from the list. Which of course is how the task had to be done, or else anyone on the server could've hit tab and seen that Jimmy was online for some reason. But I also think that's just. very interesting, within the world of the story. Grian's a Watcher but he couldn't see the Listener.

That's fun to me. Do their powers sort of conflict/cancel out? Can their powers hide them from view? Idk but it's fascinating to think about. Also, totally right with the Listener who has to Watch and the Watcher who has to Listen. I'm fond of thinking of Watchers and Listeners as very very similar, and I feel like this just sort of reinforced the idea that they're sides of the same coin or something.

Also it's fun that in-universe calling someone on discord is considered "using ethereal means to set up communication" LOL. jimmy's using magic to talk to grian, confirmed

Life SMP theorizing is so funny (/pos) to me because like. There’s not really a canon, per se, so what you’re really doing is proposing an addition to the fan-created lore. There’s some running bits and storylines but for the most part the players are just doing some fun goofs n’ gags and sometimes there’s dots to connect. If you wanna make a really complex theory about motives and corruption and such you totally CAN but the only people who’ll ever decide if you’re right or not are other people in the fandom and also Martyn InTheLittleWood
