just something i thought i’d mention because in spite of last night i apparently still haven’t recovered from the hallelujah -> 27 combo: pete’s kids were there that night. meagan and pete’s youngest two kids were in the soundbooth and he smiled and winked and waved at them when he went back there during dance dance. they performed THOSE songs in THAT combination and pete’s family was there when they did.

#LITERALLY THE THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SOMEONE WHO WANTS YOU WHOLE #everyone seems to have been super respectful of them too!#someone in the stardust project server was right there and chatted with meagan a bit and gave the kids bracelets and shells #and it was all very nice and chill #they were also there last night! pete and marvel were spotted watching carr’s performance from side stage <3 #again everyone has been super respectful about the kids privacy which is awesome #it is just. so awesome to see how loved and supported he is on all sides

#exhausted but being at the beach was SOooo nice #it was freezing as fuck and it was awesome #i remember before we left i was debating if i'll need my mask and i went well the beach is usually windy so #it might be nice to help with the sand #The Rest Of My Family Has Never Thought Of This #they go to the beach like 3-4 times a year #so everyone else was going FUCKKKKKK. SAND IN MY MOUTH. while i was doing fine #went on the tilt a whirl with my lil sister as well and almost threw up it was so fun #also talked game dev stuff with my lil sibling for most of the hours we were there #sometimes hanging out with my family is awesome actually #now that we're all 13+ and not unreasonable 8 year olds it's pretty nice

hi in case you were wondering where i was all of yesterday :) went to momocon for a day, failed to beat the world record of spiderpeople for the second time (though we were closer this year!), met several absolutely amazing bsd cosplayers (including these absolutely stunning people who were the fucking. prettiest. ever. i was so ready to pass out talking to them.), my sister laughed after we took the photo and asked me if they were the villains bc I was making a scared face lmao, and I FOUND SOME BSD STUFF 😭 one sticker and the nendroid dolls!! also 2 other figures that were $320 each and I could. not buy.

anyway. yeah :)

I'm starting to feel about artistic depictions of trans scars the same way I feel about artistic depictions of blindness: they suck.

At first the art of all the jagged lined scars I saw for trans characters seemed neat. But then I started to remember that I have those scars and they don't look like that. At all. And it's kinda shitty to draw all these trans men and nbs in such a way that they look like someone took an axe to their chests. Mastectomy/top surgery scars don't look like that at all! Even when you have a slash and dash quick surgery like I did, the results are much nicer and most trans guys you can't even tell.

This is like drawing people with white/pale, unfocused eyes as a shorthand for blindness. It's a shitty stereotype and I think in the long run it causes more harm than good. Just like with real trans folks you may have to just say out loud that your guy is trans instead of giving him a design that's kinda shitty to the bros out there who went through some shit to look really good.

my mom is coming to visit in THREE DAYS and I am SO FUCKING EXCITED we are going to see the MASH SIGNPOST and KERMIT and then we are going to the ZOO which we have not been to since we moved in 08 and then we are going to THE BEACH!!!!!!! #GOD it was such a ride #my first ever account got hacked by someone who was doing that ‘runescape censors your password even if you type it backwards’ scam lol #another time i got scammed in a trade #someone pretended they were going to give me this whole set of armour in exchange for some gems i had #then took them back at the last second so i lost my gems #it was just uncut emeralds but i was really upset about it #i hadn’t figured out what to do with them yet so i thought they were valuable #some people there were SUPER nice though #i remember cutting down some trees on a new account; trying to get my woodcutting skill up #and a level 3 person with the default avatar walked up and started cutting down a yew tree. i & everyone else around was shook #someone said like ‘yo are you a bot or an alt or something’ and he said ‘oh i just don’t train combat. i don’t find it interesting’#he had like level 70 in woodcutting and a lot of others but never did combat #i also befriended somebody who was way higher level than me just randomly and we used to talk whenever we were both online lol #i complimented her ‘socks’ (actually boots) and she straight up showed me the dungeon you can go through to get them #which was awesome #and then when the grand exchange opened i lost like a weekend of my life #i was always getting nerfed by random events as well. that was the other thing #i really miss it sometimes. i don’t miss how grindy it was though #i think that was why i liked to train combat. it felt like less of a grind because you could break it up by picking up loot and organising #your loot. i used to always train prayer by burying the bones as well lol #on my best account i had probably level 20 prayer due to this #tl;dr you wouldn’t last an hour in the asylum where they raised me (2006 runescape)#personal

feeling of growing into my body is so nice too. god puberty sucked

#i mean i had other stuff too. and so do probably most of my followers bc Trans Things. i never had dysphoria from being trans tho #it was all from discomfort during puberty + depersonalization #so now that both of those have lessened + ive gotten better at managing them. HOLY SHIT ITS NICE #i dont feel ashamed of my body!!! ive achieved complete body neutrality its so fucking awesome #i dont even feel like i need to dress up anymore. nor am i uncomfortable with the idea that someone could find me attractive #bc i understand its not my job to be or not be attractive its just my job to EXIST. other ppl can think whatever they want about me #its SO NICE. i am growing into my life its so lovely.#just a bit of positivity for you guys :] this site (and online spaces in general) can be so negative bc it’s a safe place to ent #so heres a break from that. from someone who struggled heavily w mental illness for multiple years #i don’t want to disclose what or why but it wasnt just quirky depression anxiety etc it was like from real scary shit + near death experienc #<- not to say anxiety & depression don’t suck. what i mean is that it wasn’t quirky ‘omg i have anxiety im so scared of everyone 🥺👉👈’#type shit that every white girl highschooler insists they have. it wasnt just beingn sad cus of high school LMAO #NOT TO DOWNPLAY THAT BUT LIKE. me being told for years to watch avatar the last airbender and not doing it until summer 2020 🤝 me being told for years to read the raven cycle and not doing it until now

#sometimes you're just saving something for when you really need it without even knowing that that's what you're doing!#anyway i'm in my raven cycle era now <3 #i really really love all of these characters but gansey and adam in particular have me in an absolute vice grip #i really was reading the first few chapters still in writer analysis mode...'man this is a really strong start she's doing #so well at establishing these characters and getting her reader engaged'#and then we got to the first adam perspective chapter and i immediately went 'hm wuh oh i LOVE this guy--'#haven't been that thoroughly and immediately sucked in by a character in a while. like genuinely maybe since sokka #and GANSEY is. well! guy of all time!#this book is Really good i'm Really enjoying it....#i read over 300 pages this weekend and only like 75 of those were the end of the devourers #(ALSO a phenomenal book by the way)#and that was like. that was me reading SLOWLY #i read the card reading scene at least twice and the tree scene twice and the garage scene like FOUR times--#and it was Really nice to be distracted at work today by thinking about a book rather than by having a breakdown....#raven boys has maybe singlehandedly cured my angst where i feel like i can't read or watch things that 'everyone else' did in high school #or when they were kids even in atla's case #because i've 'missed my window' or i'm 'late' or something #no actually. it's awesome that i didn't read or watch things in high school it means there's good things i get to consume NOW.#anyway that means next i'm reading homest--
