The mk x comics are no longer canon, which is very sad indeed.

But it is canon that the tarkatans invaded the outworld, saw erron and said, yeah, this one will serve Shao khan. Success 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙.

This is hilarious being shipper of erron/kano because it means the guy was working for shao khan just fine, until he comes home after mk9 and realizes he was kidnapped, this is betrayal to some degree no?

It's like:

Kano: honey I came home~~ .... Erron????

A random Black Dragon: Oh yeah, he was taken by the tarkatans, he fought as best he could, but they were more than him 😔😔.

Kano: Wait, what?!

(This ends with me making headcannons of Kano looking for Erron around the outworld, and Erron feeling abandoned, betrayed or both, idk).

Ohh! May I add some headcannons for the Defection AU?

Erron Black definitely sees Kabal as a little brother. He's the only he has cared for enough to go out if his way to help. I hc he had siblings but they were assholes like his parents and they never got along.

Kabal left the black dragon for a while until Kano foun him and threatened to kill everyone he cares for.

At one point Kabal had a dog but Kano killed it, he didn't want kabal loyal to anyone else but him and him alone

(I don't like Kano and I will make him as evil as possible lol)

The dog thing did kinda throw me off but that is also very in character for Kano

I'll add, when Kabal left, it was kinda accidental. He got stranded on a job, couldn't contact Kano or anybody, and was too injured to head back. He stayed in a town that welcomed him like one of their own and when he was healed he decided to stick around, since nobody had come looking for him he figure he was in the clear

Kano took that as a betrayal

Erron Black

Erron finds it difficult to wake up in the morning due to his hangover, but he must get up, so he did, he has so busy schedule for his “to-do list”

He also has a Kahn to serve, Due to his contract with the Kahn, being his famous gunslinger.

Still, has a terrible headache due to drinking last night, He must work to provide for himself in this realm, he knows that the gold he earns from Kotal isn’t enough for him. So, without his Kahn knowing, He kept being the mercenary he is in the outworld, doing business in the outworld, either Assassinating for gold.

He has to get up for his job’s sake either being Kotal’s enforcer, or a gun for hire in the outworld.

So, he forced himself to get up from bed, a coffee will help to reduce the pain and make him focus on his work.

So far, He has been on a very strict schedule for a long time, And he is still on it.

Mileena

As the best third assassin she is, She has a strict schedule. So she must wake up early to eat her breakfast and then do her daily tasks given to her by her father Shao Kahn. She finds it very tiring to wake up in the morning due to her fatigue and the tiring work she did before she headed to sleep.

After her father's died, Her being a Kahnum for a temporary period, but She still had to wake up and do her chores as a Kahnum of the outworld.

After her throne had been taken over by Kotal, she ran away with her trusted friends and lived in camps away from Z’unkarah.

She still wakes up early, eats her breakfast, then plots against Kotal Kahn. Until the day she met her demise.

Skarlet

Skarlet is not a night owl, she sleeps early, and she gets up early but lazily, she tells herself if she got out of bed and makes herself a cup of coffee, the tiredness will wear off.

After the death of her Emperor, she finds it hard to get up in the morning, she still grieves for him. She always tells herself that he will come back to make Outworld great again, but, that didn’t happen to ensure her safety.

She decided, She must do a very strict and constant sleeping routine, it is for her health and sanity.

Johnny Cage

This guy can’t stay up, for the sake of his career, He has a very strict and tiring schedule, He has a lot of scenes to shoot. Magazines photoshoots too. It’s safe to say that his career depends on him heavily sleeping well. But still, that doesn’t mean he won’t have a hard time waking up in the morning, We all love the bed, and we all have some sort of temporary clinomania, and So does Johnny cage!

So he convinced himself if he makes a cup of coffee and got up from bed, he won’t have to miss his Magazine photoshoots or the movie scenes he have to shoot.

He can’t miss them, never, He has a daughter and he can’t fail her. He learned from his Ex-wife how to be punctual in his career.

Subzero/Kuai Liang

As the Grandmaster he is, he must get up early, not because it is healthy for him, it is just because he is used to it. Of course, he will feel tired and want to sleep more but he always forces himself to get up from bed.

In his younger years, He always woke up early. Resisting the urge to sleep more because he was an assassin, a Lin Kuei Assassin. That means, he has a strict sleeping schedule.

But now, He is the Grandmaster of the clan, he can wake up at any time he wants, but the issue is that he is used to it.

Of course, he will make himself a cup of tea to give him the caffeine he needed to resist the urge to sleep once more!

Erron Black X Reader - Soft headcannons!

Alright my love, you’re the loving partner of the notorious Erron Black.

You two grew close due to your traditional values- you’d let him work and bring home pride and wealth, and you’ll do your part by taking care of the home while he was away. However, quite often if he needed help, you would happily be over there to play your role as a seducer to assassinate wanted men, or as bait to lure other victims, so on and so forth. And in return for those jobs, he’d make sure to cook dinner that night in his special traditional Tex-Mex style.

And you loved those nights.

Girl, the way his deep, raspy accent and his demeanors made your heart melt was unlike anything else you’ve ever experienced before. It’s weird because you’re so used to that voice, yet when he walks in all sweaty and tired after a day’s work, the uniqueness of the voice hits you once more.

But whenever he wasn’t home, you’d feel kinda lonely. You remembered an extremely early morning where he jumped out of bed and got ready to leave so fast that you couldn’t even say goodbye. It hurt a lot that day- but, that bad feeling went away so fast whenever you saw the new pet he got you!

He does love you so much, and he appreciates the balance you two share. You two know and accept your roles, execute them perfectly, in what others would call a perfect couple.

He loved you, you’re body, your smell, your voice and your pretty ring on your finger

And he didn’t have to prove that love with PDA, words of affirmation, or so on. His way of love was to be there, to bring you pride and wealth, and to make good on his vows. His vows of caring of you in sickness, death, and all else.

The small, country wedding in Texas ya’ll had is the only time you’ve ever been so PDA with him. When he held you and kissed you at the alter, it was a side of him you never saw before.

But you preferred him being kind of distant, especially in public. At the bar when you two are just sitting alone was nice, even when those bar sluts try to talk to him and touch him. Those moments where he pulls you into his lap, kiss you hard- just thinking of those moments are enough to make you blush.

And in turn, you treat him good as well. You cook his food, you’ll clean, you’ll help every second of the day, as he does for you as well. The perfect couple- something most will never have.

i have a headcannon that Erron loves food as much as you do! whenever hes home with you hes always asking if you could try out a few recipe every night hes home.

he loves to watch you in the kitchen whenever you cook. he’s always wanted to have a somewhat normal life with a woman he loves, he’s never had that in this life since he’s always fighting with other realms and such.

obviously he offers to help you with whatever you need, weather it be passing you stuff, mixing something for you or whatever you ask, hes happy to do anything for you

he’s the type to ask to taste your food as you’re cooking it. i don’t know why but he gives off those vibes, he also always washes off his spoon if he’s gonna be trying a lot of things. he knows it’s just gonna be you, him and maybe Kano and Kabal eating but he doesn’t wanna get his “germs” in the food

whenever you’re waiting for a timer for anything he likes to dance with you in the kitchen. he likes to twirl you around in the dining room while there’s music playing (he also likes to hold ur hips👁👁)

long story short, he loves your cooking he thinks you should be a billionaire chef tbh

Hanzo loves to help you while you cook. he never wants to sit by and just watch because he doesn’t want you feel like you’re the only one doing anything even though you’ve told him countless times you don’t mind

while he’s helping you he likes to tell you about his day but he loves to hear about yours. he’s not really home during the day so he has no idea what you’re up to all day so he loves to hear about it so he feels included in a way

he’s the type to add spices to his food so you might have to make a separate batch just for him the way he likes it just incase you don’t like spicy food

whenever hes home for a long period of time he loves to bake some sweet things. he has a slight sweet tooth and he barely gets to eat sweets since he has to maintain his diet due to his occupation but if hes ever injured and he knows hes not gonna be fighting for a while he likes whenever you make him sweet treats or he’ll even make some for you if you’re ever out and he wants to surprise you

𝙺𝚒𝚝𝚊𝚗𝚊 𝙺.

kitana has a very large kitchen with basically anything you can think of inside. all the different pots, pans, plates, bowls literally ANYTHING. there are some things you’ve never heard of or seen in there. so you’re pretty much cooking or baking a lot. you spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking stuff for kitana (and sindel and shao because you’re nice)

just like Hanzo she’s not home alot so she can’t be there with you whenever you’re cooking and it saddens her because he likes to watch stuff happen from beginning to end.

but, whenever she is she is always helping you and always around you. she likes to make other things while you’re making one. like if you’re making dinner she’s making dessert, if you’re making dessert she’s making dinner and such.

her favourite thing that you make is Udon with small thin slices of meat. you made it one day just because you were bored and had kitana eat some to see if it was good. she fell in love with the food immediately and now you guys have it every day she’s home for lunch

i feel like johnny is kinda a little chef himself 😀 Cassie always tells you how he would always make food for her and Sonya (when she was alive) so you who likes to make food a lot and experiments with different styles and recipes is kinda like a (second) match made in heaven, he loves to do the same thing

he is like Hanzo, he hates feeling like you’re just doing everything by yourself so he helps you, even if you say you don’t need it. he can just hand you stuff to make your life easier or clean up a mess as you’re making it. so if there is a pile flour on the counter, he cleans it. he also likes to wash utensils/dishes once you’re done using them. i feel like he picked this habit up from Sonya when they were married, she would always clean up a mess as she was making it, so it rubbed off on him

he’s also the type to start mini food fights (ironic for a mf who hates messes huh 😐) he likes to playfully throw shit like a pinch of flour or salt (yes, salt) or like place a bag of sugar on your head while you’re mixing something. he learned his lesson after you pointed a water gun at him ans started shooting him in the face with water (that’s how y’all fucked up the tv with a water fight 🧍🏾‍♀️ we don’t talk about that tho….. (the tv was expensive as hell too btw)

"Yer gonna miss ur Ma when shes gone you know"

Erron was more than familiar with the kind of rhetoric that came after a spat with his mother. Being a rather sickly scrawny child, he never thought he'd live to adulthood, let alone outlive his mother. So when his deal with Shang Tsung granted him near immortality and he wound up outliving everyone, he wasn't prepared for the loneliness that came with watching his small hometown slowly whither away with time. He watched everyone die, his neighbors, the sweet lady at the bar he spent his days flirting with, the undertaker's apprentice that he was sure to would be the one to put him in the ground, his sisters, and even his Ma who was the first he saw go.

He went through the motions of a grieving son; stood by her bedside holding her hand, whispering empty promises to take care of their land. Truthfuly however, Erron wanted nothing more than to just skip to the part where he hands her off to the undertaker. He felt no obligation to the family who was relentlessly cruel to him for most of his life, so when she finally did pass he did the bare minimum to clear his concious; he gave the earnings from his last mission to his youngest sister, and left. He did not go far, as there was little he knew outside of his hometown, so he made a temporary home right on the outskirts, where he was able to watch the town until it finally faded into obscurity.

Cassie Cage: She looks up from her phone before popping her gum and going, “Same.”

Jacqui: She is actually not the most avid listener of pop (she prefers older music) so she has to listen to this song to know what on Earth you’re talking about. The edginess kind of rattles her, so she rests a hand on your shoulder before asking if you’re ok, fully sincere.

Sonya: *aggressive eye roll*

Johnny Cage: He’s definitely heard of 21 pilots via Cassie and isn’t opposed to it but he’s more of a classic Rock and Roll man. He does know all the words to “stressed out” and wants to make sure he’s the only one who’d know such an embarrassing thing about him. He gives you a simple “Yikes,” when he understands your current mood.

Raiden: He understands the universality of music and knows that it’s just part of human culture but he just can’t get into it. When you inform him about your current mood, confused he further inquired cause he just doesn’t get it.

Kung Lao: Tells you that you need therapy.

Lui Kang: He personally doesn’t share your taste and gives you more “positive” music recommendations.

Kabal: He related deeply but isn’t willing to admit that he enjoys your taste in music.

Erron: From beginning to end listening to the song, he’s got this goofy look plastered onto his face, something like this:

Headcannon

Erron Black is ambidextrous. He uses his right hand more out of habit than actual preference. He uses his left if he has to make a really good throw (his gun in his Fatal Blow), but he has no problem writing with either hand and will grab things and handle them without difficulty regardless of which hand he’s using.

(Use of the right hand is more based on the fact that my mother went to a Catholic school growing up and told me that anyone who was left-handed was forced to use their right hand in school because being left-handed was seen as bad. Considering when Erron was supposed to be born, that belief was probably rampant back then too, so, Erron uses his right hand if he’s being watched)

In my headcannon Erron Black's first name was Aaron Black. But when he left Earthrealm he changed it. Because some Outworlders couldn't spell his name correct.
