🇺🇲 Step back in time and experience the roar of the iconic AMC Javelin, a true legend of American muscle cars! Introduced in 1967 by American Motors Corporation (AMC), the Javelin was a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive, two-door hardtop automobile manufactured across two generations, spanning from 1968 through 1970 and then from 1971 through 1974 model years. It was designed to compete in the pony car market segment against rivals like the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro.
🚗💨 The AMC Javelin burst onto the scene in 1968, showcasing a sleek design and powerful engines. Styled by Dick Teague, the Javelin offered a range of trim and engine levels, from economical pony car variants to high-performance muscle car models. Its distinctive appearance, featuring a long hood and aggressive stance, turned heads on the streets and racetracks alike.
🏭 Besides being manufactured in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Javelins were also assembled under license in Germany, Mexico, the Philippines, Venezuela, and Australia, showcasing its global reach. American Motors even offered discounts to U.S. military personnel, leading to many Javelins being exported overseas.
🛞 Under the hood, the Javelin packed serious power. It was available with inline-six engines or potent V8s, delivering thrilling acceleration and speed. The AMX variant, equipped with a 6.4-liter V8, boasted over 300 horsepower!
🏆 The AMC Javelin wasn't just about looks—it excelled on the track too. It competed in Trans-Am racing, demonstrating its speed and agility. In fact, the second-generation AMX variant was the first pony car used as a standard vehicle for highway police car duties by an American law enforcement agency. Today, the Javelin's unique style and racing heritage make it a sought-after classic among collectors.
💔 By 1974, the automobile landscape had shifted. While other manufacturers downsized engines in response to changing market demands and fuel shortages, the Javelin's big engine option continued until production ceased in November 1974 amidst the Arab oil embargo and declining interest in high-performance vehicles.
🦅 The AMC Javelin embodies the spirit of American muscle cars, blending style, performance, and affordability. It's a timeless classic that continues to capture the hearts of car enthusiasts everywhere. Get ready to hit the road and experience the thrill of the AMC Javelin!

I've been a fan of your music long enough to remember when you used to identify as trans fem. what's it been like circling back around to that and figuring out your identity now that you're doing it sort of in the public eye?
honestly it’s been nicer this time around. i sense a kindred spirit in every trans woman i talk to and it’s really lovely hearing from those who related to my music and figured out their own identity through that. it’s giving me a space where i know i will be accepted. i still boymode pretty often on the road and before tour was nearly always boymoding… there’s almost a safety on stage but despite being literally a performance it feels more real than when i’m not presenting fem. i’ve also now been girlmode out in public a lot after shows and not attracted any negative attention which is nice. even when there was an alt right harassment campaign against the band account they were gendering me correctly.
years ago it was much tougher for me, wearing feminine clothes at random diy shows or whatever. it was often in spaces that were anti transphobia on paper but did nothing to enforce against transmisogyny in practice. even in explicitly queer spaces i felt outcast. online was even harsher - which is really what made me increasingly scared to present fem as there were more and more eyes on me. there were many many trans women i looked up to a lot then but i felt they were so much braver than me. being nonbinary and vaguely “masculine” became a shield at the cost of being called a dude or a guy or just assumed to be male absolutely constantly, and after enough of it i kinda just didn’t want to show my face anywhere… the irony of having made what many considered to be iconic transfem music while feeling so closeted myself was honestly insulting.
with the recent album release and tour it kinda hit a breaking point because i knew a big wave of misgendering was coming if i wasn’t just honest with myself and everyone else. even saying she/they was softening the blow a bit. lots of people just stuck with they. and plenty of writers & critics still seem blissfully unaware that there is anything queer about me or my band or are simply too scared to write about it, idk. but i feel like i’ve come out of my shell a good bit. i’m not just playing shows, i’ve been able to socialize and party on off days and speak my mind more freely and dress in a way that makes me feel pretty. it’s really like flipping a switch - not just for me, but everybody else. EVERYONE treats me differently when i girlmode and i love it so so much, i feel like others are more willing to open up and to treat me with kindness and (respectfully) compliment my appearance and i feel like women (cis and trans) relate to me more, which is a whole lot better than feeling like i relate to nobody most of the time. it’s an entirely different set of social scripts that just feel so much more “right” to me, so much easier for me to embody, than the male social scripts. i know a lot of people feel like gender is bullshit and bad inherently and good for them but for me that mentality was a way to hide it think. i feel absolutely liberated in embracing femininity! :) thank you for the lovely question, i have so much to say on this

love the contradictions in one piece. the girls are drawn Like That but they've got the most complex, emotionally devastating arcs in any series. the coolest most badass guys are in OP, but the vast majority of the time they're huge dumbass losers. some of the worst episodes of anime produced are in dressrosa, but some of the most iconic episodes of animation in the medium are in wano. it's got some of the funniest gags in any manga and also the chops to tackle so many kinds of oppression and abuse with sensitivity and nuance. some of the trans characters look like offensive stereotypes but are also some of the most heroic and interesting characters in the story, with a narrative that explicitly depicts them as having the right idea about the fluidity of gender. you're crying one moment and laughing out loud in the next. you're cheering for the worst guy in the world to get punched through a dozen layers of solid bedrock but he's so fucking cool you can't help but cheer when he comes back. you wanna see how it ends so so so so bad but you never want it to be finished. it has 1100+ chapters and it's not NEARLY enough. oda needs to take a break and we all want him to take a break but the break weeks are absolutely fucking excruciating.
the huge, insane world of op feels so REAL sometimes because it not just acknowledges, but embraces and celebrates and embodies all the contradictions that exist in life. its just so fucking good. i don't know who i'd be if i hadn't had it in my life for 20+ years, it's made me a better writer and a better friend by every metric. i love it

I watched the One Piece live action and here are some notes I took.
I'm a huge One Piece fan since I was like 10-ish? And so, I have a lot of thoughts and feelings about it. It had a lot of impact on my personality (Nico Robin is my role model). This live action adaptation matters to me and I'm going to rant. Spoilers ahead.
The director is a woman, and one of the two writers is a woman. Manga and anime are male dominated hobby (and the comic's world is sexist), so the live action of the most popular shōnen being run by women is so great, imo. Also, it's pretty successful, in contrary to other attempts, so it's a win for women.
Garp's actor is a very handsome man. Wtf, they made Garp hot. He also has a beautiful Welsh accent, which is great because it's an accent that gives a "tough guy" impression. At least, it does for me.
Luffy's actor is perfect. This Luffy is slightly different from the original one, but he's perfect in his own way. I will die and kill for him. Also, him being brown with a white grandpa is so good, it had a racial gap between the two of them, where there are already a generational one and a moral one. Like, the white grandpa in the army do not understand how his brown grandson do not like the gov, because he doesn't see it from where he is when the kid does.
Alvida's actress is so beautiful, she's so pretty. I suddenly support women's wrongs.
Damn, the violence is going up a notch (Roger executed on screen, Mr 7's body cut in half, MERRY IS FUCKING KILLED,...)
The actors for Koby and Helmeppo are queer (They/Them pals) Oda is, once again, showing his support to the trans community.
I do not like the colors. It's too dark for One Piece, imo. Look at how saturated the colored pages are, I would have preferred it to be more saturated. I know, this is because of the CGI (issues are less perceptible this way), I'm going to need to make some edits. But, they didn't have to do it to the costumes too. Like, Buggy, except from his hat, his outfit is not flashy like it should be. Would help with the colored hair if it was more colorful and flashy.
Young Luffy wear the same shirt as in the manga is a nice touch.
THERE'S A CAVENDISH'S WANTED POSTER IN SHELLS TOWN!
Dead bodies smell strongly, and Zoro is bringing half of one in a bar???
Episode 2 is pure art. I love it so much.
Buggy is attractive, wtf. I find him more pretty than Shanks.
Bogard is so cool looking. I'm gonna die if Hina is introduced one day (she's going to be so cool)
They changed the "If you’re gonna point your gun toward someone, you better use it" scene. The new one is cool, but the original is iconic.
THE MUSIC WHEN LUFFY REALIZES THAT SHANKS LOST HIS ARM! It's like the orchestra is interrupted, incredible, love it.
Nami and Zoro's siblings' energy is so strong.
Kaya and Nami interraction about the dress "it belonged to my mother" is so good, Nami gets uncomfortable because she also lost her mother and knows how it is to cherish her memory. But Kaya is nice and share it with her, which break her view of rich folks.
The decor's department must have had the time of their life for this show. It's a great job.
Zoro wanting to wear black and drink wine in the 3 episode, he's already embodying being Mihawk's adopted brat.
Kaya makes the oof roblox sounds when she slapped Usopp.
Usopp x Kaya let's gooooooooooo my boy deserves the best (Oda confirming a romance with one of his protagonists is huge)
Zoro IMMEDIATELY trying to look at something else the moment Kaya kisses Usopp.
Luffy sitting on Going Merry with "We Are" playing... Art.
Without a cook, they are eating pasta, with some fruit and drink (just like me, fr).
Garp is wrecking a brand new ship!
Episode 5 Title Card, my beloved.
Mihawk music, and voice, and character: beautiful.
"Oh, I do like your hat." Mihawk to Luffy upon meeting him, great.
Sanji needs to stop talking about food, I'm getting hungry but I'm broke and a terrible cook.
"Oregano is for savages!" 😂 ok kiddo.
Me watching Zoro nap for a whole episode because of 1 cut: "Bro, you’re going to go through so much worse, you better stop whining rn"
The "YES, YES WE DO" after Sanji says "heard you guys need a cook" is so good.
Sanji is, like, the only one after Nami to have the most experience sailing, they fucking need him.
Buggy coming back all the time is perfect. Love him.
Having Bell-Mere slaps Nami was not ok. Y'all are ruining a character I loved.
Sanji knows a man that can cook well is attractive.
Usopp and Luffy are 17 and drinking, and Koby is 16. Underage drinking baby 🍻
Garp is already having the crisis he has during Marine Fort Arc, it’s going to be difficult for him.
Buggy be swinging being carried by Sanji, who's fighting.
Luffy breaking Arlong's sword axe thingy is badass.
The fishmen are so ugly and weird looking
Buggy saying "I'm gonna get out of here" with 🖕🤡🖕(If we ever get young Ace, I expect so much vulgarity from his little shit mouth)
Usopp exploding star was badass.
Sanji's ass after Mouton Shot.
Zoro "Yeah, you're gonna fit in just fine" means you're as crazy as all of us
Sanji opening is arms for Nami and Nami ignoring him to hug her bros, lol.
Arlong Park destruction be crazy.
Sanji little laugh.
Luffy is a true bestie to Usopp.
It’s the confrontation from after Seven Arc
It's Logue town after right? Like, where Luffy's father is introduced? With the comparison to Roger? But they just compared them, are they going to do it again?
The wanted poster is the exact same, with usopp in the background.
Employee of the month lol.
Alvida and Buggy meeting, the bad bitches.
Mihawk and Shanks!!! (Shanks gave him the "ableist pos" look, lol)
Smoker introduced -> Logue Town

Hello good sir I would like to request for Whit Young X Transmasc reader if possible :3
WHIT YOUNG MY BELOVED!! I am so normal about this man, definitely not obsessed with him nope-
Thank you for requesting!
Whit Young with a transmasc reader
Warnings: Mentions of Dysphoria, Mentions of discrimination
Tumblr media
-Is so so supportive of you!
-Probably made the "Hi trans, I'm Whit" joke when you came out, not because he was trying to deflect, but because he could tell coming out made you nervous and he wanted to lighten the mood so you would know you had nothing to be worried about
-He's the living embodiment of those parents who buy their gay kid every piece of pride merch they could find
-"Hey Y/N, I got you this super awesome trans shirt, I thought you would like it!" (He's such a dork)
-While he doesn't understand what it's like to have body dysphoria, he certainly understands that it effects you and tries his best to lessen it as much as possible
-He'll buy you masculine clothing, compliment you constantly, and reassure you that you look masculine and that he sees you as a man
-Plus, have you seen him? Whit's a total fashion icon, he will absolutely give you advice on how to style your clothes to look more masc
-If you're comfortable with Levi knowing, Whit will get him to design you masculine clothes that match you're style
-If someone purposefully misgenders you, he will become the most passive aggressive motherfucker on the planet, giving them the most dead stare imaginable
-"Excuse me, HE is a HIM, not a SHE, get it RIGHT." (Side note: this is what my best friend does and it's great)
-If someone's outright giving you shit for being trans, it is on sight
-Like, Whit isn't strong enough to beat the crap out of anybody, but what he can do is roast them into oblivion. Bro picks out every insecurity this person could have and uses it against them until they're on the floor shaking and crying
-Nobody fucks with Whit's boyfriend and gets away with their ego intact
-If you bind, he sets reminders on your phone to take a break from binding. He doesn't want you breaking your ribs because you left it on for a few extra hours
-Fully supports your decisions regarding your transition. You want to start T? Awesome! You want to get top/bottom surgery? He'll be with you every step of the way! You don't want to get surgery done? That's fine by him!
-Loves you no matter what, and is so proud of you for having the courage to be who you are

First and foremost to get it outta my system, fuck orbitaldropkick for being a piece of shit hack-writer with zero tact. Fiction and narrative do not defacto endorse the most horrible actions or events on earth, but you have no fucking tact in your writing of or depiction of said events- it's crassness for shock value and it's gross. You might know kill six billion demons and might even still be reading it- if you do, I suggest you don't! If you don't read it, don't start! The idea can't poison you if you don't imbibe it, and the most recent update was very much a reason for me to hate the fucker more than I already did for being an abrasively smug prick. CW for rape if you ignore the prior warning and go to his site anyway. "But its been years and im so invested-" Shut the fuck up, if an apple rots you don't keep the mush. You may be asking yourself what you ought to maybe consider reading or engaging with instead that maybe handles shit more tactfully, or overall embodies the spirit of killing god that isn't tied to tom parkinson-morgan or his works (ksbd, icon, lancer, unnamed cyberpunk), and I'm compiling a list below: Comics: Souls Foreclosed- Cast of devil-endowed trans people literally combatting society, the church and vampires that rule it, and tbqh god himself. Extremely good and creative as fuck in it's visual design. Phototaxis of a Fighter- Underground boxing with a full cast of queer and ace rep, PLEASE read this shit 'cause I'm tired of people sleeping on such a banger comic. Scam the Gods- Dreamlike and utterly surreal comic focused on committing to the title. As with the above fuckin read this shit if you want to feel caught in a dream you can't quite wake up from, quit sleeping on the comic and sleep inside it. Novels and TTRPGS:
Benjanun's Machine Series- hoohboy there's a lot here please let her explain it better than i can ;///; Gubat Banwa + Maharlika- TTRPG steeped in southeast-asian culture with mechanics emulating the snappy combat of martial arts movies and godkilling™ (mecha robo for the latter of the two), and with far greater understanding of the cultures it references than those Tom outright rips from. Devil, Aim for Me- If there could be a oneshot/single system to encapsulate the vibe of Souls Foreclosed, this'd be it- Ran a game several years ago centered around a post biblical rapture world with the goal of crawling out from the ash to kill god, so I'm including it here as well worth your time. tl;dr fuck you abbadon, i wish you'd go back to being john neverpost and fucking stay that way you cunt

Poll 1
Dina Becher (It/Its) by @sanfielle
Why Should Your OC Win?
where do i even start. dina is a short king. its a disaster bi whose whole life has been dictated by the whims of forces outside its control. the embodiment of the whole universe talked to dina just to tell it dad jokes the entire time. dina played too much LoL growing up and has had its vocabulary permanently impacted by this. it started playing a stupid game that spawned it into a firey hellzone. its the most unlucky person in the world. help it out a little. it needs some kind of W. please. please
What is Your OC Like?
looks: pretty short, short brown hair in dreads, light to mid brown skin, hazel eyes, default expression is nervous or grumpy.
personality: lonely, paranoid, and determined. it just wants to have fun and be itself but there are noobs to pwn and ladders to walk under.
dina is from my webcomic PROLEGOMENON, available on neocities.org ^_^
Mick Venus (He/Him) by @biracy
Why Should Your OC Win?
He's kinda smarmy, a little salacious, and very, very stupid. He's an okay guy but he's ultimately kind of an idiot who somehow stumbled into "music pioneer" status. He's also just unfathomably bisexual. Definitely had a much rowdier, "horrendous", dangerous life before he met his wife and kinda settled down. Quote my gf, "he contains multitudes. Multitudes of drugs and stuff"
What is Your OC Like?
He's an 80s glam metal rockstar, a biker, a trans icon who manages to stay "stealth" bc he's just So stupid that no one believes him when he says these scars are from when he cut his tits off. Married an opera singer and doesn't really know what opera is. Began as like a 70s lesbian separatist hippie singer when he was a kid and grew into "trans bisexual glam metal" as an adult.

flannel is the color of my energy - playlist
Buster to Ren
@ambereyed-mountain-prince
FITCOME is a playlist for: that feeling when you want to turn the music volume on max and rage. Hearing the hardcore breakdown of a guitar riff. Yelling at the top of your lungs in an open field. Flannel is the color of my energy is for the angst, the energy, the memories, and the background music you pick as your walk out song.
🎸 Enemy of the World - Four Year Strong
if you drop the bomb then I’ll pick it up. The song opens up with group acapella and a drum solo. Instant goosebumps. The theme tends to be team work but also ones true self worth. The battle with one’s self. You can’t help but air drumming as the song picks up. (Favorite Band of ALL time)
🎸 Came Out Swinging - The Wonder Years
my mind is made up, there’s going to be trouble. Everyone has had an end to a relationship and everyone has had a hard time. This song is the epitome of both. The pop punk double bass picks up and gives some great breakdowns.
🎸 High Regard - A Story So Far
you don’t deserve what you haven’t earned. When you have to cut off ties with someone and you have the one sided argument with yourself in the sjower…that is what this song embodies. Driving with this song on high volume and using the steering wheel as a drum.
🎸 Mind Your Business - Sunami
self important pricks learn your fucking lesson. Hardcore. From start to finish this sound is what fuels a hype up scenario. When you feel wronged or when someone turns on you…this song and the break downs make a scowl appear on your face and you vibe. (Very hardcore but bad ass)
🎸Cries of Pleasure, Heavenly Pain - Gulch
No real lyrics. When you think of a song your mother or grandma would say that is metal it’s this song. A lot of drums. A lot of guitar. A lot of yelling. This song is not the best song in the world but there is something about it that meets some inner angst.
🎸Riot Squad - Cock Sparrer
fighting the law with the rest of us. British punk rock from the 80s. This song is about friends changing and leaving the group. This band is still playing live at the age of 70 in England - sound just like the album. Just very very good.
🎸 For Whom The Bell Tolls - Metallica
take a look to the sky just before you die. This is the song you have playing as you walk out to the baseball mound. Or the song playing as you have an angsty power scene in a movie. The narrative song in a battle scene of a good book. Quality metal and always on repeat.
🎸 The Simple Type - Broadside
we shoot first, ask questions later. A good pop punk song that’s going to make you think about someone you’ve parted with. The light melody with the guitars just brings out the air guitar. Always going to boost the mood even if you’re not thinking about someone you’ve parted from.
🎸 Those Anarco Punks are Mysterious (Acoustic EP) - Against Me!
reaching out for a scary kind of perfection. against me! Has been the most punk rock band going from acoustic to rock and back again. trans front woman Laura Grace has brought the band to the future. The theme hold and it’s impossible to not sing along with all angst and distaste for the man.
🎸My Life For Hire - A Day To Remember
this is a battleground. The middle of the song has one of the most iconic breakdowns of all pop punk music. It is impossible to not close your eyes and let the build up fuel you. Working out to just processing life this song will build with you.
Hardcore, pop punk, metal, punk, and anarchy.
A playlist by Buster Palmerteri

One reading for Silence of the Lambs (1991) exists that portrays exactly what trans, gay, and queer rights organizations have been protesting about it since before it even premiered—a narrative caricature that pathologizes and demonizes queerness in the profiling and the depiction of the antagonist, Buffalo Bill.
But, if not necessarily a closer reading, at least an alternative reading, offers a deeply queer film, as writer Aja Romano describes wonderfully in their complicated history piece for Vox on occasion of the film’s 30th anniversary, and, if one wanted to go farther, a symbolic coming out narrative through the psychological horror and true crime genres. As Romano points out, Buffalo Bill is actually a bogeyman of queer identity in the film: “Silence of the Lambs explicitly tries to distance Buffalo Bill’s behavior from transgender identity. Lecter observes that Bill isn’t transgender, and Starling reminds the audience that there’s no link between transgender identity and violence. The film overtly tries to separate its villain from the trans community — in stark contrast to many of its predecessors in the horror genre.” This villain, within a psychological analysis, is not a representation of queerness but a representation of society’s paranoia towards queerness that Clarice has to identify and face for herself.
That Clarice Starling is played by iconic wlw, Jodie Foster, whose sexuality was perhaps not public at the time but was pretty well established subtext for a portion of her audience and was known within her Hollywood circles, is a good jumping off point to see this arc of queer identification. The film’s oft-cited feminist portrayal of a woman in a masculine work environment and as a capable protagonist does double duty to establish Starling’s character (whether played by Foster or not) as transgressing gender roles that can align her with a kind of queerness. Then, there’s Hannibal Lector, who, more than Buffalo Bill, seems to embody certain gay stereotypes as a campy, penetrating aesthete, sibilant s’s and all, literally trapped within a glass cell. It’s not a stretch to see the cell as a closet. And the camera work that places Starling behind the glass wall as often as Lector as they attempt to psychoanalyze one another to offer help and a form of liberation emboldens a parallel between them.
True crime and psychological horror since Silence of the Lambs often directs the protagonist to accept the murderous darkness within themselves. Bad faith readings point to understanding this inclination as a representation of how evil is a contagion or corrupting force that individuals are helpless to avoid if they pursue their curiosity in it even under the best intentions. However, that’s a pretty literal interpretation of the murder in these fictional stories. I want to argue that the protagonist’s eventual turn to obsession and murder, even if in self-defense, operates similarly to the marriage plot in the romance genre. The main character is forced to become aligned with characteristics they had formerly seen as impossible for them to embody. The bullet or knife is a means of simultaneously overcoming their fears around this part of themselves and cathartically entering into an embodiment of it. When a character like Will in Hannibal or Eve in Killing Eve or Clarice Starling eventually find themselves cut adrift from their governmental agencies and/or forced to kill on their own, they are narratively freed from the rigid constraints of societal rules and expectations.
Fictional killing by a protagonist is not advocating for a literal replication of that action. It’s about their ability, alongside the audience’s, to find peace, resolution, and empathy for ourselves and others. Clarice confronts the false specter of homosexuality and claims a more holistic truth about her own desires that quiets the screaming lambs in her mind while Lecter escapes the cages imposed on him so that he can have his old friend for dinner. That these are revealed darkly is a feature of the genre and less a commentary on the queer subtexts. The trio of Buffalo Bill, Hannibal Lecter, and, at their fulcrum, Clarice Starling inflect the film with a profusion of queerness that, going beyond a simple look at how realistically the film portrays transness or criminal profiling, invites instead an interpretation that provides the opportunity for one to emotionally experience its dynamic queer catharsis.

Exploring Trans Identity in Cabaret: A Cinematic Analysis
In Bob Fosse's Cabaret (1972), Sharon Cowan's analysis of trans identity politics illuminates the nuanced portrayal of gender and sexuality, particularly in the iconic "Money" scene. As Sally Bowles performs amidst the decadent backdrop of the Kit Kat Club, Cowan's insights shed light on the subversive nature of gender presentation. The mise-en-scène, characterized by extravagant costumes and exaggerated makeup, challenges conventional gender norms, inviting viewers to question societal constructs.
Tumblr media
Cowan's examination of narrative dynamics is evident as Sally's performance blurs the boundaries between masculine and feminine, embodying a fluidity that transcends binary categorizations. The cinematography captures the ambiguity of gender through close-ups that emphasize Sally's provocative gestures, inviting viewers to confront their preconceptions.
Moreover, the lighting design contributes to the scene's subversive undertones, with stark contrasts accentuating Sally's defiance of societal expectations. Through strategic editing, Fosse amplifies the tension between conformity and liberation, underscoring the complexities of identity politics.
Tumblr media
Ultimately, Cowan's analysis enhances our understanding of Cabaret's thematic richness, illustrating how cinematic elements converge to challenge normative notions of gender and sexuality. The scene serves as a microcosm of the film's broader exploration of identity, underscoring the enduring relevance of Fosse's masterpiece in contemporary discourse.

me: “yeah I don’t feel comfortable adding no face from spirited away to my ghibli gender envy joke post because as iconic as his design is he does represent the embodiment of greed and consumption for a large portion of the movie and also acts as a barrier to chihiro in a way akin to a predator and i just find the character, even after he finds peace in simplicity and letting go, to be really uncomfortable to encourage trans people to identify with even in a joke post”
also me, regarding a character literally named ‘greed’ in fma: “oh lmao yeah he’s trans”

okay if there's one lesbian i wish more lesbians and queer women knew about it's joan nestle. the are two biggest lesbian institutions from the 70s that are still around that i can think of are the literary journal sinister wisdom and the lesbian herstory archive (both are trans-inclusive). joan is on the board of both. joan nestle and some other dykes founded the lesbian herstory archive in the 70s when they realized that lesbian herstory was happening around them and if THEY didn't preserve it, it would disappear. so they started the herstory archive out of joan's apartment. so many lesbian/queer women history books i've read mention doing research out of the herstory archive). she's a life-long activist, and organized with the civil rights movement, gay liberation movement and anti-war movements. her writing is soooo sexy. i once watch a sinister wisdom panel where she was a featured speaker and she as soon as her mic turned on she went "hmmm......i see a lot of former lovers on here." she is an icon she is a hero she keeps and embodies our history! i've never spoke to someone my age who knows about her.

It's that time of the year 🍂🎃 10 Halloween movies you can add to your watch list
Tumblr media
Every year, my friend and I go through our list and add items from everywhere, from colleges to neighbor's buddies. And, it is that time of year again, but our list feels dry. What should we add or make sure we watch this year? This request came from one of our subscribers who truly enjoys the movie suggestions that we send out every week. It is important for us to address this matter and find a solution.
Tumblr media
So, we have created a list of seven movies that you should add to your list to make this year's Halloween as good as the best ones.
Top 10 Halloween Movie List
Halloween (1978): The original Halloween. The vibe of this movie will put anybody in the holiday mood. Well acted, well written... it's just a damn fine movie. My ringtone yr round is the music that Carpenter composed because it's so iconic.
Beetlejuice (1988): is one of my all-time favorite movies, and easily one of the funniest and most interesting visions of ghosts and the afterlife.
Get Out (2017): I absolutely adore Get Out. I’ve seen it multiple times and always notice something different. It’s such a good rewatch when you already know the plot
Trick 'r Treat (2007): is the ultimate Halloween movie. It embodies the holiday like no other movie I've ever seen, and it's just so much fun. Probably my favorite movie of all time.
Jaws (1975): in my opinion not only is it, my top horror movie but it's the greatest movie ever made. No other movie scared a complete audience like it did. Ppl were scared to go swimming all summer after this came out.. even in lakes. Sharks are beautiful creatures but Jaws for many years gave them a name as cold-blooded Killer.
Scream (franchise): 90's horror wasn't the greatest but then this came out. This cast worked perfectly with each other. I went to the theater 4 times to see this movie when I was a teenager.
The Devil's Rejects (2005): If you are an unapologetic Rob Zombie fan. You will adore this movie fr. Movies and Music. This I feel is his best movie. H1000C was good but this took it up another level. Made me fall in love with Spaulding.
Hellraiser (1987): Pinhead is my favorite of the modern-era monsters (Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, etc.). It was also kind of just a neat movie. Hellraiser 2 was also fun. Went into the lore of the Hell Realm and Leviathan.
Hellraiser (2022): This was an awesome update. I genuinely enjoyed it. And the take on Pinhead/the Priest was amazing and more book-accurate. They were played by a trans woman actress, but portrayed as completely androgynous. Even their voice was masculine and feminine overlayed each other. It had the right amount of body horror and gore without going too far.
Evil Dead 2 (1987): Evil Dead 1 is pure horror, while Evil Dead 2 is a horror comedy. I generally like Evil Dead 2 more, but the 1st is scarier.
I know I missed some Halloween movies here and there so let me know what I missed in the comments….

ok your thoughts?
love live girls main pokemon companion? or the mysme peeps? (whichever is easier to figure out)
Tell ya what. Love Live here and then I'll do MysMe on my MysMe blog!
Year first, youngest to oldest, then within each year it'll be smile->pure->cool!
u's
Rin deserves a cat Pokémon, but will she be allergic? I hope not. Because she would have a Skitty as her partner. An energetic and perhaps a bit erratic cat! It's considered rather feminine in appearance, and I think Rin would have liked having a cute, "girly" Pokémon when she was younger to help her with her dysphoria and to avoid teasing from kids who told her she looked weird in skirts :(
Hanayo is a soft-spoken girl who only seems to perk up around rice and idols. She's extremely shy and insecure, and she would either need a Pokemon who can soothe her or one who can speak up for her. I think a Jigglypuff would be ideal, because it loves to sing but it can also be really tough! Plus it's super cute and fluffy, which fits Hanayo.
Maki has an Audino! Her parents gave her Audino because of their association with hospitals and healthcare in certain regions, but this Audino turned out to be an amazing help for Maki's pursuit of music! Audino have extremely sensitive hearing, so helping Maki with tuning her piano and fixing rough spots was easy.
Honoka has major Growlithe energy, since she's fiery and headstrong and determined. Her Growlithe keeps her from doing anything too dangerous.
Kotori OBVIOUSLY has a bird. Swablu is perfect with its fluffy, cotton wings for our baby bird seamstress! But when it evolves, it's surprisingly powerful, much like how scary Kotori can be when she's serious!
Umi has to have a water type, of course. I propose Oshawott. It's cute and spunky, which probably helps Umi smile and laugh. However it evolves into a samurai, which is fitting for our traditional and honorable beauty!
Nico wants a Pokémon that can shine on stage with her. She builds her team around the concept of cuteness. But we know she bites. Mawile is a fairy type and quite cute... until the jaws come around!
Nozomi definitely has a Gardevoir. The spiritual queen needs a psychic type! Plus, Ralts are good at soothing emotions, which I'm sure she needed as a kid when she was constantly moving around and painfully lonely without any friends. :(
Eli grew up with a Snorunt she received from her grandmother. Now she and her fully-evolved Froslass can dance together elegantly with their thawed hearts!
Aqours
Hanamaru has a name that literally means "flower circle." I propose an Oddish, which is very much a round grass type! Ultimately, as Hanamaru builds confidence as an idol and trainer, her Oddish evolves into Bellossom who dances alongside her!
Ruby would totally have a fairy type. But hear me out: Sylveon. She started with an Eevee like her big sister Dia, but her love was so strong she ended up with a Sylveon!! Trans icon covered in ribbons.
Yohane's best friend is an Absol. She's got horrible luck, but her Absol can sense disasters in advance to try to keep her safe! Plus, Yohane is edgy and would love a dark type.
Chika is the embodiment of the sun, if you ask me. We also know she loves mikans! Not quite an orange, but I think Cherubi would be a good companion for her! Once she evolves into Cherrim, I have no doubt she will spend most of her time in sunshine form because Chika is so radiant! (But it's okay to be in overcast form when you're struggling, Chika!)
You needs a partner who can brave the seas with her! As basic as this may seem, I think Squirtle would be perfect! We know they work well in squads, so Captain You should get along great with Squirtle as her first mate!
Riko, my sweet girl with severe depression. Miss Sakurauchi should have a grass type, right? I think Chikorita is a great idea! Meganium's aromatic flower can soothe emotions, and its breath can revive dead plants. I think Meganium could help "revive" Riko's spirits, too!
Mari is known for being shiny, but we mustn't forget she's lonely too. I like to picture her with a shiny Zoroark. She found a lost and scared Zorua on her family's huge lawn, and she took the little baby in. Zoroark are fiercely loyal Pokémon, and they will use illusions and intimidation to keep enemies away. I bet... Zoroark has had to comfort Mari a lot during her loneliest times. Also Mari would 100% gush over her giant purple edgelord like it's the cutest creature in existence. Metalhead Mari my beloved.
Kanan obviously has a water type partner. She needs a Pokémon who can keep up with her on both land and sea, and so I think she'd bond with a Buizel from a young age! Once Buizel evolves into Floatzel, it can help rescue divers who run into trouble with its flotation sac!
Dia is elegant and refined. She's determined to make her family proud, and she's highly traditional. However, she's also devoted to her dear sister Ruby. Do you remember the Kimono Girls in Johto who each had an Eeveelution? That's why Dia and Ruby both started with Eevees! Dia's Eevee evolves into Glaceon, which suits our New Year's girl (and is even colored like a diamond). A bit cold, but loving and protective nonetheless.
Nijigasaki
Shioriko is extremely disciplined, perhaps too much so to the point where she comes across as uptight and controlling. I think she'd do well with a Medicham, which is elegant but also has sharp senses by training its mind & body with meditation & yoga!
Rina needs an Espurr. I cannot emphasize this enough. Do I even need to explain this?
Kasumi is another idol who thrives on her cuteness. I have to go with Fidough. It's a PUPPY made of BREAD. Mia teases her about that relentlessly.
Shizuku has to have a water type, since her idol icon is raindrops! Starting with a Popplio makes sense, since it's got a lot of tricks and skills to show off on a stage, and a fully-evolved Primarina is perfect to join Shizuku in a musical!
Ai is a ball of energy and laughter and fun. I can totally see her and Misato having a Plusle and Minun, respectively, as they start their journeys together! (Misato needed to wait for her health.) Plusle loves to cheer people and Pokemon on, using "Helping Hand" as needed for an extra boost. Is that not Ai?
Ayumu is a flower girl. Her songs and story are rife with floriography. Conceptually, I think Hoppip would be perfect. Much as Ayumu sings about moving forward one step at a time towards her dream, Hoppip can join her for a hop(pip), skip(loom), and jump(luff)!
Setsuna is the embodiment of fiery passion. She pours her heart and mind into everything she does. I know it sounds basic, but I love the idea of her having a Charmander. They kindle each other's flames and keep the other going. Plus, she's deeply into superheroes (the super sentai type), and I feel like Charizard would be perfect to help her reenact some crazy scenes. She has a big presence, and who fits that better than Charizard?
Lanzhu is a queen and she won't let you forget that. However, she is also associated with angel imagery. I think she'd grow up with a Togepi and then a Togetic, but Togetic refuses to evolve into Togekiss until Lanzhu finds peace and kindness in her heart.
Kanata needs a nap. While Drowzee may come to mind, her idol symbol is a sheep. I think she'd be wonderful with an Ampharos. It evolves from little sheep (Mareep and Flaafy), and its light is so bright that it can serve as a lighthouse or otherwise as a beacon for those who are lost. Kanata is always tired because she overworks herself as a devoted big sister; she wants to be the light that leads others to their dreams.
Mia would receive a music-related Pokemon from her parents, given her role as a member of a prestigious musical family. I can see her with a Chatot who's just as sassy as she is. Chatot helps her with composing new songs but also parrots all of the cursing that Mia does when she's struggling. Oops.
Emma has a Skiddo named Neve and I do NOT accept criticism! She doesn't need her Pokemon to be super strong--she just wants to be friends with her Pokemon! She can ride her Skiddo while singing, like a traveling bard.
Karin is beautiful, cool, and competitive. She's kind of a dork with a horrible sense of direction, too. I can see her with a Lopunny, as a strong, elegant counterpart who also has a soft & cute side. Specifically with the ability Klutz.
Liella!
Natsumi has a Persian she raised from a Meowth. She isn't a very good trainer, but at least Persian is independent enough to best some weaker trainers. Uses Pay Day a lot for quick cash.
Kinako is fox-coded, as her symbol indicates. Most fox Pokémon tend to be sly or cunning, but our country girl Kinako is as sweet as they come. I could see her with an Eevee that comes to the city with an Everstone, but later Kinako takes off the stone as they grow together. Eevee evolves into Espeon because of her friendship.
Mei loves cute things and people, but because other kids fear her "scary" face, she would get an equally "scary" Pokémon because she'd think cute ones don't suit her. I can see her with a Houndour... who happens to love belly rubs and whimpers when you won't play with her.
Shiki insists her Beldum is the cutest Pokémon in existence from the moment she catches them in her "lab" as a child. As a Metagross, they're even cuter. Don't ask about how Shiki uses her steel/psychic partner for science experiments. Don't. :)
Chisato MUST have a round Pokémon! Maybe a Bounsweet who evolves into an AMAZING dancer Tsareena!
Sumire needs a space-themed Pokémon so she can be the best coordinator in the galaxy! Cleffa (eventually Clefable) seems like the natural choice! How could anyone NOT want to watch a pair of cutie pies shine on TV?
Keke loves pandas, but that seems too... cliche. I think she'd have a Snubbull partner! People judge Snubbull at first glance because of appearances, but they're loyal, determined, and loving Pokemon. Keke looks like a happy-go-lucky and carefree girl, but her burning passion and dedication to idols is beyond everyone's expectations. Also she's a star student. How. Girl. Share your secrets.
Kanon grew up with her family's Rowlet! Rowlet is a quiet little guy, storing energy during the day and flying silently with ninja-like attacks. Kanon is someone who chooses to stay quiet after she thinks her dreams are over, but she's also a reserved, anxious person in general. I can see her sitting in the sun "photosynthesizing" with her Rowlet. They grow stronger together, but even Decidueye lurks in the shadows and stays silent. Don't make either of them do public speaking, please.
Ren loves her Stoutland Chibi dearly, but Chibi is not a battling type. She actually has a Sinistea as a partner! She poured some tea and left it for a moment, and in a large, lonely, empty house like hers... a spirit was all too willing to inhabit her cup. But she didn't mind the new resident in her manor, where the emptiness is oppressive. Two lonely souls who became unlikely friends. (And of course hers is antique)
