EIGHTEEN - E.M
Tumblr media
Warnings: swear words, implications of sex, implications of drugs, mentions of having children, commitment
Pairing: Eddie Munson x Fem!reader
Summary: Life with Eddie Munson as the twin sister of Nancy Wheeler, best friend of Chrissy Cunningham, colleagues to Robin Buckley and Steve Harrington and her role as the cheerleading freak.
Wordcount: 2.5k
Tumblr media
Nobody ever saw you, Y/N Wheeler ever falling for someone like Eddie Munson
He was this freak who everyone seemed to fear and you were the perfect girl, following all the rules.
You were on the cheerleading team and despite your dislike for most of them, you were friends with one.
Chrissy Cunningham.
Despite her dating the captain of the basketball team and being this scary mean girl to everyone else, they were all wrong.
All she wanted was to live a peaceful life, she didn't even like cheerleading, her mum made her do it.
You didn't like cheerleading all that much either but you weren't great at playing any instruments so you wanted to help out by being a cheerleader.
You're also good friends with Robin - that's why you joined cheerleading, because she was in band - and when you weren't there you worked at the film store with her and Steve.
Being part of the Wheeler family was tough because of the high expectations from your parents and the way people always looked at your family but the trauma was the hardest.
Since you were close with your younger brother, you had gone through the whole upside down ordeal with him and the others.
Some nights you'd wake up in a cold sweat, eyes wide as you looked around, reaching for one of the many guns you opened - this one happened to be hidden under your floorboard.
You liked your twin sister and everything but you'd always clashed with ideas but despite all that you did care for her.
The first time you noticed Eddie Munson was in the talent show when your best friend Chrissy had pointed out the band.
She loved the heavy metal music that he was playing despite her parents' more neutral taste and they became slight friends. She never did fit in with the buzzed hair cut style of Eddie Munson and in high school the two stopped talking.
The freak and the cheerleader would never work out.
Then you remembered him as the boy who didn't graduate in 1984.
And then 1985.
So at that point you were in the same year as him despite him being a fully grown twenty year old man and you just an eighteen year old with no clue what you wanted to do in life.
And God did you think he was hot.
Like come on, the guy was ultra sexy to you and your best friend had realised this. Maybe it was the bad boy persona that drew you in but you were instantly attracted to him.
Sure, he had seen you around and thought you were cute in your preppy skirts and flower white shirts that your friends joked made you look like a hippie but he never paid much attention to you.
It was only when Mike joined that he began to notice you more. You would pick your brother and his friends up from the D&D club, making small talk with the boys as they'd pack up.
You knocked on the door to the room, hearing a loud exclamation of annoyance as you opened the door.
The boys were huddled around a table and they looked up at you as you stood there, Eddie's eyes landing on yours.
"I'm here to pick up Mike, I am on time right?" You second guessed yourself before checking your watch and nodding, "It's nine o'clock now,"
"We're nearly finished Y/N, God, just wait a second," Mike said.
You sighed, leaning against the wall as the finished. When they were done, you ushered your brother out but not before taking one last look at Eddie.
And for a second Eddie would think that maybe you were cooler than he thought you would be.
You weren't the preppy popular girl he had expected. You like Black Sabbath and had a dark sense of humour that matched perfectly with his.
So yeah, maybe after that you caught his eye a lot more than before.
He would never admit that you were the reason he would sneak into the back of the basketball games - because if anyone saw him there it would ruin his reputation - just because he wanted to see you.
He would smile at you in the halls and occasionally help you if your locker got jammed - which it often did - and you assumed it was just because he was friends with your brother.
It was around October of 1985, 3 months after the starcourt accident when you bumped into Eddie.
You had been handing out flyers for the recent charity concert when some guy from the basketball team had knocked them out of your hands.
They weren't fond of you and despite being on the cheerleading squad and having guys gawk at you in your short dress you were still on the bottom of the proverbial totem pole.
He had rushed over, helping you pick them up off of the ground as he cured the basketball players to hell.
When he turned back to you your face was burning up, completely embarrassed that he had to help you.
Your face had gone bright red as you scrambled on the floor for the paper. He had been so helpful and you couldn't help but blush as your fingers skimmed against his as you took the papers back.
"Thanks so much Eddie, gosh, I don't know what I would have done if you wouldn't have helped out," you said, pulling the papers against your chest as another gust of wind picked up, "What can I do to thank you,"
"Don't worry sweetheart, I don't mind helping," he said, flashing that toothy grin of his at you before he walked away.
You were giddy for the rest of the day, heart pounding as you realised the guy that you found to be the new Adonis had noticed you.
And he was such a gentleman, nothing like they had said at school about him being a freak.
You may not have approved of him selling drugs - since you came from a very conservative background - but you knew he seemed so nice and wouldn't force anything on you.
So you made him cupcakes, driving all the way to the trailer park just to drop them off to him.
You knocked on the door, smiling as Wayne Munson opened it, "Hi, I'm a friend of Eddie's, I brought some stuff round for him," you said with a smile on your face.
The man smiled before turning around, "There's someone at the door for ya Ed," he called out and the boy walked by, a smile on his face as he saw you.
You held the tupperwere pot out to him and he smiled as he looked inside to see a row of cookies.
"You didn't have to sweetheart," he said and you blushed slightly at the nickname.
"Just wanted to thank you, nobody else would have stopped for me and I'd have been running around like a crazy person for hours," you chuckled.
You drove home all giddy, happy that his uncle had liked you and unsure how to feel about the rest of it.
Your sister had seen the huge smile on your face that night, not mentioning that she knew about your secret rendezvous with Eddie Munson.
You saw each other the next day at school and he thanked you for the cupcakes, bragging about how good they were.
From then on it became a tradition for you to bring sweet treats to every single one of Eddie's campaigns. He loved them, thanking you every time with varying cute nicknames that would make you blush as you walked out.
Mike would cringe, questioning as to when you and Eddie had become so close.
The boy would just smile and laugh it off, the image of you walking away in that shirt little cheerleader's dress still replaying in his mind.
Your brother didn't like it when Eddie would ask about you just because you were his sweet older sister who never got into trouble. You didn't drink, you didn't smoke and he thought it seemed out of character.
Eddie would find the chance to bring you up all the time, joking about how you should join the campaign or asking when you'd pick him up.
The people you hang out with didn't like it either. They would laugh whenever Eddie would smile at you and every time he'd talk to you they would make jokes about him, making fun of his appearance or calling him a devil worshiper.
You didn't believe any of that crap and knew it hurt him but he wouldn't let that show.
You also knew that he didn't like you the way that you liked him and decided that being friends was good enough for you.
There was also always the inkling that society wasn't going to accept the two of you if you ever decided to date and that was very off-putting.
So when he first asked you on a date you just crumbled, heart melting.
He had been so nervous, probably having waited ages building up the courage to ask you.
"So I was thinking, maybe, I could take you out to dinner tomorrow night, to celebrate your win," he said, referencing to the
He wasn't as cool about it as you thought and the nervous tone to his voice made you chuckle. You always did find him adorable.
"Sure, it's a date," you said, a grin on your face as you walked away, knowing his eyes were trained on the short cheerleading dress.
You went home and told your sister straight away, unable to keep the date a secret.
She said that she always knew that he had feelings for you and that she could see it a mile away.
You instantly planned an outfit, knowing that the next day you were going to be going to a cute local restaurant with Eddie.
You knew he wasn't going to be able to afford keeping up that lifestyle of fancy restaurants but you liked the grand gesture (and didn't mind at all that he didn't come from as much wealth as you did)
The next day you were buzzing, your mum asking what was so important.
You were hesitant to tell her but eventually you told her you had a date that night, not disclosing who it was with.
Your mum was a cheerleader and your dad was on the football team so you knew they wouldn't approve of you not choosing some douche like Jason and instead choosing the local freak.
That night you had waited at the end of your street, not wanting your parents to see him.
He had picked you up, holding you a bouquet of slightly crumpled flowers but it was the sentiment that counted.
You both laughed the whole night away, having the time of your lives and he asked you to be his girlfriend straight away.
The next few months were amazing with Eddie.
He was the most caring partner you could have ever asked for. He would invite you round for pizza, study with you (even if it would end with the two of you naked) and you'd call most nights.
He had been your first everything - apart from kiss, your first kiss had been Patrick Mahoney in fourth grade - and you wouldn't have asked for anything else.
You had never expected Eddie to be into cuddling but the first time that he held you in his arms as you lay on the sofa watching some awful movie he never wanted to leave your warm embrace.
Robin and Steve constantly made fun of the two of you when you'd come into the video store together to get a film and he'd have his arm wrapped securely around your shoulders.
The hardest part was telling your parents.
When they began to wonder who this boy you were going on a date with, you decided to tell them the truth.
Your mother wasn't too bothered, she didn't mind him but understood that he made you happier than ever before.
Your father was furious. He wanted you to be with someone who could provide for you and make sure that you had the life that you deserved and he didn't think that was with Eddie.
So when you invited him round for dinner with your parents it was awkward to say the least.
He already knew Mike and Nancy so that was fine and he got on with Holly so well that you were considering having a baby with him on the spot.
The instant that he met her they just bonded, the six year old asking questions about his clothes and he'd answer to the best of his ability, crouching down to her height as she giggled at some stupid joke that she had made.
You knew he fit into the family instantly.
Your dad was the hardest hurdle to overcome as he kept asking Eddie questions and when Mike accidentally blurted out the idea that Eddie had taken your virginity, he was fuming.
But Eddie had stood his ground, earning the respect of your father and the two became close over their love for American football - even though you were sure Eddie had never seen it before you knew his uncle was a fan.
He fit in well with your best friend Robin and although Steve had some animosity with him, he warmed up to him eventually with their mutual love of certain films.
Then your friends found out. Apparently someone had bought from Reefer Rick and he'd spilt the beans.
So the next day at school you walked in and when your friends ushered you over the first thing they asked was if you'd been fucking Eddie.
And you just wanted to cry because it was a cold January day and yeah, you had spent time with him last night but there was no reason for them to know about it.
They weren't your friends anyway, they were just people you were associated with. You had never fit in and the only person that ever made an effort to talk to you was Chrissy who obviously knew about you and Eddie.
She stuck up for you but the rest didn't buy it, instantly jumping on the bandwagon that you would associate with what Jason called 'a devil worshiper'
But you managed to brush it off until you had to go to Eddie's that night for pizza and a movie and you just crumbled.
You sobbed in his arms as you explained everything that had happened that day and he had comforted you, promising that they didn't know what they were talking about.
As soon as you fell in his arms you collapsed, "A-and they called you a freak and, God, they, they hate me Ed," you sobbed, holding onto his hellfire club shirt as you cried.
He comforted you, hand on your back as he shooshed you and held you until you calmed down.
"It doesn't matter what rhey think of you okay, I know you're amazing and your family love you and that's all that matters," he explained, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
You'd had a tough day after waking up from a nightmare that you couldn't explain to Billy and then having to he bullied about the people you chose to love.
To everyone else in school he had this hard exterior but to you he was so affectionate. Sure, you didn't advertise your relationship in school but he would go out of his way to talk to you. He would stand by your locker and chat or cheer you on whenever you needed it and you would bring him your traditional sweet treats to the D&D campaigns.
On the note of sweet treats, one thing you never expected Eddie to be able to do is cook. He couldn't bake for the life of him but he made simple meals take the best.
One time he made you pasta and you could have just died there. His ego was overly inflated after that and he was sure he was going to be the best chef in the world.
Eddie would go out of his way to make sure you had everything you wanted. He wasn't into PDA but if he even saw one of the boys - or the girls - look at you the wrong way he wouldn't hesitate to kiss you up against the lockers like some horny frat boy.
He wants to be protective over you and even though he will, he'd rather run away with you then face whatever the problem was. He didn't like conflict and would rather cower with you in his arms.
It was a trait that you did admire. He was loyal and sure of what he wanted and sure, he got scared sometimes but everyone does.
He was so sure of his relationship with you that he got the two of you matching silver rings like promise rings that signified the bond between you and to say that you didn't cry at all when he gave it to you would be a lie.
By the time of season 4 the two of you had been in a healthy relationship for around five months.
He sat through the pep rally that morning reluctantly seeing as it was mandatory. He really just wanted to see you. He supported everything that you did, just not the people that you did it with.
He didn't come to the game and you didn't expect him to, although you had promised him that the next night you'd come over in the uniform that he loved so much.
You brought him snacks before his campaign and he explained that he was dealing that night so you reluctantly let him go before leaving for your game.
But not before a good luck kiss against the wall as he pinned you in, one hand on the wall beside your head and the on your waist.
It took Mike pulling you two apart for you to finally get to the cheerleading game.
They won and the next morning you woke up to calls from Dustin who said that it was 'an emergency'
That was when your whole life changed, and definitely not for the better.

A/N - so I was thinking about making this into a series that starts with season 4 so this is sort of a prequel. Would anyone read that?

Day 18 - Saddle

Baz was right, I shouldn't have bothered bringing them books and crayons. The little girls got an enormous dollhouse from Father Christmas, and Mordelia got an actual pony.
Snow For Christmas, Rainbow Rowell.
I think that the Grimm family would get their daughter a magickal pony, don't you?

saw someone say rory never had a job while everyone around her worked which. lol.
high school years only dean and jess had jobs, lane and her chilton peers did not and rory probably could not have managed a job on top of her schoolwork anyway
and in college both she and lane got their first jobs in season 4 right? dean still had multiple jobs, as did marty, again her yale peers did not. paris did not work until season 6 when her parents lost their money or whatever and logan did not work until season 7. rory worked in the dining hall in season 4, at the bookstore in season 5, interned at the stanford eagle gazette in season 5 and presumably worked there in season 6 even though it is never mentioned again lmao WHO KNOWS and she worked at the DAR office in season 6 as well, plus writing for at least one magazine in season 7 not sure i remember anything else happening at that time
like she did work through her college years and it would've been understandable if she didn't because college was hard enough but she did not rely on money from her grandparents because that money solely went to school LIKE do you people even watch the series when you say these things about rory it's genuinely so annoying because in her chilton/yale/elder gilmores worlds she is SURROUNDED by people who fuck around like paris is arguably the only rich peer that does work hard in any capacity bc like madeline, louise, logan and his friends....they don't even apply themselves when it comes to school and they DEFINITELY don't have jobs because they don't have to! and you don't have to criticize them for that fact either but you don't get to scream about rory when it's not even accurate

Okay I wasn't gonna say it but since someone else broke the ice, I too am sick of Creamy Jin! Nobody's forcing you to do a daily series, like you said - if the choice is between making the same post 9 times in a row (NINE!! Creamy Jin for NINE days!!) and just switching to a weekly format...why punish yourself and your subscribers. like you said, you're doing it for free so why all the faking-the-assignment-for-participation-credit posting?
subscribers???? no one is “subscribing” to my page… it’s free to follow or unfollow. it’s also free to engage or disengage with the content. so if you don’t like it, you don’t have to reblog it??? i don’t rly care about notes as i said so it’s no skin off my back
what IS rude is coming to a content creators blog and berating them for what they can make in their free time, FOR FREE. i never said i was being forced and i took on the idea myself bc i am a jin bias and 1) no one else is making jin content in his absence and 2) because when he left i was devastated and wanted to do something to make myself feel better!
your analogy doesn’t really hold up bc there’s no assignment and no credit being given. this is tumblr dot com it’s not that serious. what isn’t cool is harassing me for content YOU don’t like when i never made YOU or anyone else interact with it?
it’s not even offensive. it’s a skin care routine. literally do it yourself or find someone else to make these 200+ gifsets for you 🤷🏻‍♀️ the entitlement is insane

this can (and will) be a whole essay in of itself but Lucy’s “prettiness wasn’t my profession” quote from TSC symbolizes so much of her internal struggle in the first three books, but especially THB.
Lucy values her worth as an agent and as a Listener far above her other qualities. It’s why she feels so threatened and insecure. Not only is her place in the company diminished (in her eyes), but her budding Talent causes real harm to the people she cares about the most. Lockwood’s injury and the following cold shoulder he gives her only puts the nail in the coffin. Then the Fetch drops that coffin six feet underground. She can’t do it anymore if she can’t be a good agent. She can’t do it anymore if she makes Portland Row another Wythburn/Moorgate.
So she does what she did the first time: she runs away.

hey y’all, quick question?
is starlight actually confirmed to be a freelancer? i’ve heard ppl say this but i think there’s only one quote that actually supports this, which i luckily wrote down for a video. lol. here it is:
Tumblr media
(^ this quotes from his fourth video, by the way)
think the phrasing of “you freelancers” here could just be in the way of “you empowered humans”, (as in, starlights empowered obviously but not a freelancer). idk. i just feels unnecessarily vague, especially because avior talks about starlight’s magic ALL THE TIME but never really specifically states what type of user they are, even though (as a demon) he definitely knows.
granted, i havent seen a bunch of aviors videos since their release and i still haven’t watched his last… four or five? so maybe it’s mentioned in one of those, lmk. but please don’t spoil plot events for me 💀 (honestly i don’t expect anything too shocking to happen, my hopes aren’t high, and i die watch s2 of the imperium so like… parallels. but still no spoilers lol)
also maybe erik mentioned it in a stream or something and i forgot / didn’t watch it. but i hear people say starlight’s a freelancer with 1000% confidence and i wanna know where they’re getting that from

EIGHTEEN - E.M
PART 1; PISS OFF YOUR PARENTS
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings: mentions of selling drugs, allusions to sex, ptsd, slight bullying
Pairing: Eddie Munson x Wheeler!Fem!reader
Summary: it's the last day of school before spring break and all you want to do is spend this break with your boyfriend. That is until the day leads to a gruesome end for one of your friends.
Wordcount: 2.3k
Tumblr media
You waited in the back, watching the audience through the curtains, hoping that Eddie had turned up for today's pep rally. You knew he didn't like them but had asked if he could come, this was the furthest the basketball team had made it in years.
You smiled when you saw him lingering in the back, dark denim jacket and large hair standing out in the crowd. You walked back with Chrissy who was talking to some other cheerleaders, ready to go on stage.
You performed the routine, a wide fake grin in your face the entire time. You just smiled at Eddie in the crowd, glad that he had turned up for you.
Once you finished the crowd applauded and you went and sat down in the front, keeping that peppy spirit alive. You cheered as the basketball team came out, smiling at your friend Lucas as he ran out behind the others.
"First off I'd like to thank each and everyone one of you for being here. I'd also like to give a special shout out to the prettiest fans of all time, the Tiger cheer squad. Chrissy, I love you babe," Jason said before going on to his speech about how upsetting all the deaths had been.
Your smile fell and the memories all began flashing. Like at Steve's house party when Barb had gone missing, or watching Bob get ripped apart, or Billy as the mind flayer killed him.
They'd never know what you went through with all of it, that you knew what had happened to all of these people and the feeling made you sick to your stomach.
"Tomight, we're gonna bring back the championship trophy!" He yelled out, the crowd cheering.
You jumped back into the peppy spirit you needed, putting a smile on your face. You didn't care about the championship today, you just cared that tomorrow would be spring break and you could spend the whole time with your boyfriend.
After the tediously long pep rally, you rushed outside, looking around for Eddie. He was standing on the other side of the courtyard and you rushed over.
You ran out, straight into your boyfriend's arms and he picked you up, spinning you around slightly with a smile.
Before you he never liked the idea of showing off girls in public, simply because he had never found the right girl. But now, as he looked at you, he knew that he wanted the whole world to know that he was so madly in love with you and you cared about him just as much.
"I didn't know if you were gonna come," you said once he let you down, kissing you.
He chuckled, "You know I couldn't miss an opportunity to see my pretty girlfriend in that stunning little outfit," he said, hands roaming to your ass and you let out a yelp at his cheeky move.
"Munson, my brothers just over there," you stated, looking over his shoulder to see the three boys pulling disgusted faces at the display of affection.
Eddke just hummed, "He doesn't care, I'm sure he's heard us before," he said, a dark gleam in his eyes as he looked down at you.
You pulled away, hitting his chest lightly, "I've gotta go to my first lesson Eddie, okay, you gotta let me go," you tried to reason with him but he just wrapped his arm around your shoulders, beginning to walk to class.
"Can't believe I have fallen for a girl who goes to class on time, leaves at the end of a cul-de-sac and has aspirations," he said with a chuckle, the two walking through the halls.
People stared at them the whole time but they were used to it by now, one of the most popular girls in school dating the self proclaimed school freak wasn't what anyone had ever expected.
You could spot some of the girls from the cheerleading team laughing at the two of you but you tried to shake it off, knowing they weren't your real friends and that once you graduated, you didn't have to see any of them again.
He stopped in front of Miss Clicks class, Robin waiting at the door for you, "Why don't you just skip babe," he asked, forehead pressed against hers.
"Get off me Munson," you said jokingly, pushing him away, "I've got lessons to go to and if you want to graduate this year, you should go to your lessons too,"
He groaned, walking away, hand on his heart, "You wound me princess, you are my achilles heel and I am perished," he said before vanishing round the corner, leaving you with a wide grin on your face.
"Come on," Robin said and you chuckled, the two of you walking into the class.
At lunch, you sat in the cafeteria with Chrissy, noticing she was a little bit weird, "Hey, you okay?" You asked, frowning at her weird disposition.
She nodded, "Yeah, yeah," she said, continuing to poke her food around the plate with her fork.
They were all talking about the big game tonight but you couldn't stop looking over at your boyfriend as he joked around with your friends. You wished you had the nerves to go and sit with him for once, to not have to worry about the pressures of high school.
You watched as Eddie hopped up, getting onto the table, "But as long as you're into band, or science or parties, or a game where you toss balls into laundry baskets," he yelled out.
The table with all the basketball players looked up at him, booing his speech. You just smiled, amazed at how he had the courage to stand up to everyone else.
"You want something freak," Jason asked
"Sit down Jason," you said, rolling your eyes as you looked down at your food.
"It's forced conformity, this what's killing the kids," he exclaimed, sitting back down at his table as his friends chuckled.
"God, I don't know how you date such a freak," Myra, one of the girls from the cheerleading squad, said, giving you a dirty look as she continued to eat her lunch.
"He's probably a freak in the sheets too if you know what I mean," one of the other cheerleaders, Elyssa, said. The whole group chuckled, looking over at you for answers.
Sure, they knew some details about your relationship with Eddie but you weren't one to gossip about things so private like that.
"Come on guys, leave it alone," you said, eyes trailing over to Eddies. His eyes met yours and almost telepathically, you could tell that he was asking if you were okay. You nodded, a soft smile on his face.
He got back up again in the dramatic fashion you were used to and he began parading around, standing in the middle of the rows.
"If I don't blow this final, I'm gonna walk that stage next month, I'm gonna look principal Higgins dead in the eyes. I'm gonna flip him the bird, kiss my girlfriend in front of the whole school, I'm gonna snatch that diploma and I'm gonna run like hell outta here," he announced, his voice giddy.
He was sure this year that he was going to graduate, he couldn't stay at high school for another year whilst his girlfriend goes to college and has a life without him.
"Didn't you say that last year, and the year before?" Jeff questioned, a smirk on his face.
"Yeah, well now I've got my motivation. My pretty girlfriend and I are gonna graduate and I'm taking her on a road trip wherever the hell she wants,"
You smiled up at him as he stood at the table, he held his hand out and you chuckled, grabbing it and allowing him to pull you up. He spun you around once, a blush spreading over your face at the action, "This wonderful girl is the only reason why I'm gonna graduate this year,"
"Thanks princess," he whispered before letting you sit back down, a giddy smile on your face and a firm red blush on your cheeks.
"Well it's not like you actually study with my sister is it?" Mike questioned, scrunching his face up in disgust
Eddie raised his eyebrows, a smirk on his face. Dustin faked a gag as he realised what they were actually doing instead of studying. Gareth and Jeff applauded their friends, laughing at his antics.
"This year is my year, I can feel it. '86 baby," he announced, his voice echoing through the cafeteria.
Just after school had ended and before the championship game, you were walking through the halls, ready to warm up for the cheerleading routine that you'd be performing.
"Hey," you heard a voice call your name and turned to see Eddie standing nearby. You walked over, leaning against the wall.
"What's up?"
He took a deep breath, almost wondering what to say, "I was in the woods just now, with Chrissy Cunningham and-" he started.
"Wait? You were in the woods? With Chrissy Cunningham? My best friend Chrissy Cunningham?" You questioned, unsure of where this was going.
"You gonna let me speak princess?" He questioned before continuing with his story, "And she wanted to buy weed off of me. I sold it to her and then she asked if I had any of the good stuff so of course I said yes. Is she okay?"
You smiled at his consideration for your friend and honestly, you weren't sure what was going on with her. Now it explained why she was acting weird at lunch.
"Thanks for telling me Ed, I'll check up on her later," you said, pressing a kiss to his cheek before he walked you to the hall.
They stopped outside of the room where he played D&D with the boys.
"Have fun at your game, I'll see you tomorrow for a week of unadulterated fun," he said, wiggling his eyebrows at the suggestion.
You chuckled, "Thanks, hope your campaign goes well," you said before skipping off to the hall, cheerleading skirt riding up as you walked away.
You waited behind the wings, listening to the show. You hadn't had a time to talk to Chrissy yet but you knew you had to, there was something clearly wrong and as her friend, you had to see if she was okay.
"Singing for us tonight we have a very special guest, from Nashville, our very own Tammy Thompson," Higgins announced.
You chuckled in the back, watching through the curtains. You agree with what Steve had said last year in the bathrooms after the whole Russian incident, she sounded like a muppet.
"Why are you laughing Wheeler, that's my sister," Myra stated, eyes narrowing narrowing you.
You just chuckled, turning to look at her, "Your sister sings like a muppet on crack," you stated before turning around, ready to go out after the awful singing finished.
The whole time throughout the halftime cheerleading performance, all you could think about was how Eddie's campaign was going, you knew how excited he had been to get this final one ready. You were hoping you would've been able to go but you had to sit here and cheer every time a point was scored.
After a long and very tedious game,
You congratulated Lucas for scoring the last point before beginning to walk to your car, just wanting to go to sleep after the exhausting day you'd had. That was until you were cornered by the basketball team led by Jason Carver.
"Where's the freak frankenstein Eddie huh, he didn't come to your game?" Jason asked as he walked past you as you headed towards your car.
"Piss off Jason," you said, trying to ignore him.
"You're not coming to the party, bride of frankenstein?" One of his other friends asked and you just rolled your eyes at the nickname.
"I've got other plans," you stated before turning around, narrowing your eyes at Jason, "Have you seen Chrissy?"
"She went to get changed first," He said and even though you thought it was a bit odd you let it go, walking back to your car and driving home.
You called Eddie's House but nobody answered so you left a voicemail, "Hey, it's Y/N, just wanted to let you know the game is done, wanted to check up on your campaign. Call me back when you get this, bye,"
What you didn't know was that your entire life was going to change the next morning when you get a call from someone you were hoping never to get a call from.

Series Masterlist Part 2
A/N, I didn't love the way I ended it, it felt a bit rushed but I'm super excited to write the next chapter. I will probably finish my Rooster x OC series first and then focus on this.

day 18 // a lil' life update :)
dates written : January 16th/17th - 2024, Tuesday/Wednesday
Well! It has been quite a while since I last wrote, hasn't it? Exactly two weeks, dang. So, I thought about just doing more of a life update for this one. ;) Which will probably, basically still be about self focusing.
!! WARNING !! I will be using a lot of photos. ;)))
Well, at the start of the month I had some friend hand outs I went to. My bestie since grade school and I hung out together finally, we don't see each other too often since she's still in school; senior year of high school, which is a very busy year. Or it was for me.
Tumblr media
One of our favorite things to do that we've done since we became friends and "hangouts" were a thing for us, is dressing up to different, fun themes! So we did that again, bringing back old memories. :,) The theme above is: Going to a 1882 French Play. Very specific, I know. But that makes it more fun.
I had two more friend hangouts after, one was with some of my "once in a while friends." Like the friends you get together with once in a while. One of my close friends is involved in those hangouts, though, which I'm very grateful for since at times I feel like I don't completely fit with the group. But she helps. :) And I'm not saying my other friends are bad, they aren't, and I do like seeing them every now and then.
Speaking of that one close friend I mentioned:

Okay, okay, let me give context. At this group hangout, it was with my closer friends, for one friend's 19th birthday. One of the games we played was called "Stir the Pot." Which is a fun game, but it can be a little iffy sometimes. You just gotta remember it's a game. But me and another friend didn't want to be too mean, so we played more mellow cards.
Now, the photo context: one friend got this card to give to someone and during their time of debating who to give it to, Zainah and I (the one in the white dress) were being incredibly silly and laughing while Zainah was trying to pour some coca-cola into a cup. So the card ended up going to both of us which was probably the core highlight of the night, because we both absolutely lost it together.

Getting into the topic of all things books-of course-I got another bookshelf! I currently have three, but one of them is a very small one, and the other one is about half the size of the one in the photo, with less shelf room. So obviously, I need more book space. AND- I got this one for free! It used to be from someone my family knew that she was going to throw out. So with the help of my brother and virtual encouragement of my sister, we spent a day fixing it up and putting it in my room! The next day I shelved books and decorated it. :)
Tumblr media
One of the books I'm making my way through is Live by Sadie Robertson. It's a really amazing book for me to read right now, it's helping with my faith and also gives me comfort! I really like Sadie's style of writing, so I'm enjoying this one. :) I have also been doing a study in Psalm too, I read at least one chapter a day, or at least, I try to. Focusing on myself has really helped me focus on my relationship with God too. It's been a rough time in the past, but it's better now. <3
Tumblr media
Before I get too invested in talking more about my self focusing journey, some last minute things: it has been very cold here in good ol' Kansas. We've been getting a lot of snow and when, yes, it is so pretty and I love snow, I am SO ready for spring weather. But a cool thing that I was able to do, because it was so cold, is walk on a frozen lake! (or pond, my park ranger brother would know, haha) My parents and I visited my brother at his work where he's a park ranger and my brother and I walked along the edge of the lake! It was so cool to see all the frozen things beneath me. The little feather lookin' things on top of the water are frozen leaves! Even if it was freezing and I definitely should've worn boots, it was beautiful.
The other day, my mom and I went to one of our small town coffee shops; I can't remember exactly what drink I got but it was super good. I've come to really love that place and their drinks. :) When we got back home, Mom made a pot of tea and it was just a nice cozy day. It had started to snow and became very windy on the way home, so I'm glad we left when we did. It was a good day to just chill and hang out with my mom. :) <3
Back to some *new-ish* self focusing/discovery things!
(I hope you like my very well thought out title) ;p
Tumblr media
So, a little bit of backstory: some people might remember, if you read my posts when I first joined tumblr, I would write some things about the Aspec/AroAce* community. Those posts are not up anymore, the reason being is that I stopped identifying as AroAce. But what I didn't realize until now is the real reason why I stopped identifying as AroAce. The reason I had thought why I stopped is, that I felt like I could/did (wanted to) experience romantic or sexual attraction. So, really, I was like: I was wrong (I was sad), I want a romantic relationship (do you, though? really think about it bro). I left the label behind, not wanting anything to do with it. I wanted to feel those attractions and when I thought about how I couldn't, I would feel really sad about it. How I would end up alone (which is not a bad thing) and my friends would all leave me behind to live lives with their romantic partners (my overthinking brain was telling me these things). I felt extremely lonely. That's when society's ideas and views on the Aspec community/labels started contorting my own. I started believing society's thoughts on it and thought that I just needed to stop being sad and how to do that was to ditch the AroAce label. (which, in some cases/for some people, ditching labels helps, but for me, labels can help me understand who I am and why I feel/think the way that I do)
Little did I know that the reason why I felt so sad every time I thought about being AroAce wasn't because I'm AroAce, but because of what society says about the Aspec community. I let those false ideas and thoughts into my head when I should've been kicking them to the curb. BUT! We all learn from mistakes and honestly, I think that it wasn't a complete mistake for me to stop identifying as AroAce. Because NOW, I have a much better understanding of myself and my identity, and some of it comes from me attempting to hide who I really am back then. (I say "back then," but it was really only a couple months ago)
Of course, I'm still working through my self acceptance and self discovery, but really, me realizing that I'm Aspec-again-couldn't come at a better time! It has helped me focus more on myself as well as help me discover more about myself. :) Earlier this week I had an amazing realization that God's timing really is perfect. If I wouldn't have been thinking about my Aspec identity, I probably would be struggling more to focus on myself. So it works out great!
*Aromantic Asexual - a person does not experience, or rarely experiences romantic or sexual attraction. There are many different kinds of AroAce and countless ways on how to be AroAce, and none of them are wrong! It just depends on the person and how they identify with their own Aspec identity. (Aspec definition in photo above)
Tumblr media
(AroAce art from pinterest) The AroAce flag are those colors, if you didn't know. ;) (though, there are many different versions of the flag)
As you might've already gathered, I used to identify as "AroAce," now, I think I prefer "Aspec." I feel like Aspec is more broad than what AroAce is, in my own opinion. Honestly? I don't know exactly where I land on the Aromantic Asexual spectrum. And that's okay! I'm actually okay with that now. I'm fine with just doing my own research at my own pace, wanting to think about my Aspec identity as much as I want to. :) I had so much trouble accepting and loving my Aspec identity before and I'm not going to let that happen again. If later down the road, I decide it isn't a label for me, then okay! IDENTITY IS FLUID! Which can be very frustrating at times, but it's a beautiful thing too. :)
And now you see why I wanted to wait until the end to talk about my self focusing things: I have a LOT to say. So, don't be surprised if I have more Aspec-focused posts coming out! The world needs more Aspec representation!! Plus, I like writing about it. ;)
Tumblr media
One last photo of my doggo, Charlie who got a haircut the other day and my mom brought him to our shop. He approves. ;)
I hope you enjoyed my life update! And if you didn't, well, no offense, but I don't really care. I do these writings for myself because I enjoy doing them. :)
And, if you are a fellow Aspec, remember that there is a place for you in this world! It is a wonderful and beautiful thing to be a part of this community. You and how you feel are valid, no matter who you are or how you identify.
Until next time,
Thalia <3
