Out of all of Little Mix's make-up artists, Y/n was by far the most experimental. She loved playing around with new colours and styles with her own make-up, along with others. She loved testing different eyeshadow shades for different eye colours. Her mind was constantly swarmed with new ideas—simple and extravagant. It depended on the day, really.
Which is exactly why Jade Thirlwall was always the perfect canvas.
Jade herself also loved trying something new, and she absolutely had an eye for a good look. To her, there was no shame in a bold make-up look, even if you were only going grocery shopping that day. She was also a lover of glitter, which was one of Y/n's favourite ways to add to a look. It was no wonder that when Y/n messaged Jade to try a new look the northern girl immediately said yes.
When Jade stepped through Y/n's apartment door, Y/n couldn't help but to smile, adoration swelling in her heart. Jade was only wearing a large hoodie and some sweatpants, but Y/n was entranced by her curly hair thrown into a ponytail on the top of her head. Her tan skin glowed under the apartment lights and she looked as ethereal as ever, no matter how lazy her attire was.
"Hey!" She said in a bright tone. Y/n stepped away from her desk—which was filled with make-up palettes, brushes, concealers, foundations, glosses and lipsticks—and she reached forward to give Jade a hug, which was reciprocated. "You look beautiful." Jade hummed. Y/n felt her heart flutter and her voice caught in her throat. Jade giggled and the sound was as peaceful as waves crashing against the beach shore, easing her.
Jade set her bag down, putting her phone in her pocket and heading to the living room to sit on the chair next to the make-up. "What are we thinking of doing today, my darling." She said calmly. The words fell from her lips is such a natural fashion that Y/n almost missed the nickname she had used. Jade used it quite often, actually, but it still set off fireworks in Y/n's stomach.
"Nothing too bold today, actually. But nothing simple. Just gonna meet in the middle." Y/n pulled a chair over so she could sit in front of Jade. "I was thinking some purples and blues, maybe a graphic liner design or two."
"Your specialty." Jade grinned.
"Indeed."
Applying make-up had always been such a calming process to Y/n. In the beginning it caused nothing but stress, sure, but eventually as her skills strengthened, it became therapeutic, in a way.
It never failed to make Y/n's heart race at the closeness between her and Jade when she did her make-up. It took all of her effort to keep a steady hand while using a graphic liner to make a simple, yet intricate butterfly. She wasn't going to let a simple crush ruin Jade's make-up.
Jade picked up a mirror, taking a look at the pops of colour that coated her eyelids. "Oh, you've outdone yourself." Jade said it in a way that would seem mocking but Y/n knew her words were nothing but the truth.
"Why thank you—"
Jade gasped, and Y/n paused.
Jade hands came in contact with Y/n's forearm, her fingers delicately resting on her skin. "I have a dress this colour."
Y/n grinned. "Let's go."
The dress wrapped around Jade's figure perfectly in a semi-tight hold. It was looser at the top, dipping to show a bit of cleavage. It hugged her torso and hips in a perfect fit. The fabric itself was a shimmering purple that matched almost exactly with the purple dusted on Jade's lids.
"You look gorgeous." Y/n said genuinely. Jade thanked her warmly, making eye contact with her in the mirror.
"Where are you headed after this?"
"Just getting some groceries." Jade laughed. "But, y'know, gotta shop in style."
"Oh, always. Only way to do it."

Happy 95th birthday to NASA astronaut Frank Borman
In 1962, USAF test pilot Frank Borman was selected in NASA group 2 and he flew on Gemini VII (December 1965) and Apollo 8 (December 1968). Between December 21 & 27, 1968, as Commander of the Apollo 8 crew, he was the first of 24 astronauts to fly to the Moon.
In June 1970, Borman retired from NASA and the U.S. Air Force as a full bird Colonel. After an advanced management course at Harvard Business School, Borman joined Eastern Air Lines on July 1, 1970, becoming Director of Operations in December 1970.
Between 1976 and 1986 Borman was CEO of Eastern Air Lines, making the airline profitable by 1978, before retiring to his cattle ranch in Southern Montana.
Borman's face was pasted into a group photo on the cover of English Rock band Led Zeppelin’s second 1969 studio album.
Note in this July 1970 portrait, former NASA-astronaut Frank Borman wore his personal Rolex Datejust, as he had been wearing Rolex watches since his test pilot days at the USAF Flight Test School in 1960.
Aged 95, Frank Borman remains the longest living NASA veteran astronaut, 11 days older than James Lovell, both true American Heroes.
