I think it's good to emphasize, especially to minors, that no matter how much you identify with, or appreciate a content creator, at the end of the day you don't know them. An unknown adult should not be texting you. If they do, it talks about their immaturity. An adult content creator should know that it is not right to encourage parasocial relationships with minors, knowing the influence they have over them. This is not about being a killjoy, this is about knowing how to identify red flags and setting limits. It is about giving tools to minors so that they know how to identify said flags. You have to be able to understand that setting boundaries and distance between creator and viewers is not only good, it's healthy.

Kind of a shame Tommy’s new video got SO overshadowed by the Dream stuff.

I mean obviously that was always going to be the case, Dream discourse is a bit of a hot topic atm (especially in this community) and well, while everyone else knows how to take a joke, Dream’s fanbase always has to overreact and make the comments Tommy made way more dramatic than they ever were. I mean I’ve seen people calling him ableist for just fidgeting during Dream’s section… what does that mean?!?!?!?!

Anywho! He made some great points throughout — not anything new and groundbreaking per se, but his humour definitely made up for it — poking fun at Mr Beast for flaunting his wealth online and not really putting it to much good, Andrew Tate and his manhood ;), KSI just trying to build a brand while Logan Paul just drags him down with scams and crypto bullshit. All of it fun and silly and fairly lighthearted the whole way through.

And Philza Minecraft baby!!!! Judging by the way Tommy promoted this video on Twitter I can only assume he’s super proud of how that part came out, as he should be, he clearly put a lot of work into in and it turned out incredibly awesome!!!

I don’t want to bring up drama from communities I only passively observe, but Technoblade will always be very near to my heart. So I find it kinda weird what dream is doing right now.

I am obviously not the biggest dream fan, so there’s bias there but seeing him use Techno’s legacy for a music video gives me the ick. Especially having a actor play techno in his hospital bed.

I’m sure he’s talked this over with techno’s dad, and I can’t speak like I know techno beter then dream- but something about this feels wrong. Especially with the cartoony costumes and stuff, it’s like making a drama out of this real death that happened.

Also the proceeds BETTER go to charity. He’s rich enough. Especially with all the other stuff with him seemingly not donating to the charity with the whole one of us event.

after reading some more stuff on the qsmp discourse i got one thing to say. you mfs crying for quackity to get deplatformed bc hes not interacting with dream anymore are insane. for many reasons but a few specifically come to mind

1. you do not know the nature of drm and quackity’s relationship. you do not know these ppl. yall are just as bad as dnf shippers, reading into the personal lives of two grown ass men yall aint even know.

2. it’s completely normal for a person to stop interacting with someone after finding out shady shit abt them. whether its true or not, those kinds of accusations are sometimes enough to break contact w ppl bc its better to be safe than sorry, especially in this industry.

3. nobody owes anyone jackshit. no explanations, no apologies, no contact. i bet some yall dont even remember roscripts bc of how quackity handled that. and frankly, that was the best way of handling it. stopping contact w ppl who are even potentially fucked up makes things easier for all parties in the long run. it aint “pushing it under the rug”, its being responsible. dealing with private shit PRIVATELY.

4. that said, dream is making things worse by making public posts about shit that does not concern us in the least. if he wants advice, he can go to his friends. not us. we are not his friends. YOU are not his friend. getting mad on his behalf bc quackity isnt talking to him anymore is doing nothing in the long run.

5. dreams been in these doxxing situations before. i see no difference between now and the hundreds of previous times. quackity didnt cause these doxxes because of an smp. that sucks that dreams family is getting targeted, genuinely, but frankly that is also a private matter to be handled privately. you should never admit to MILLIONS of ppl how scared you are or how much danger youre in bc of a doxx, because that creates a bigger target on your back. the mfs who are bored enough to doxx him are just getting satisfied with how well their tactics are working.

quackity made qsmp because of his experiences as a bilingual creator and his want to bring his two worlds together. He wanted to help break down language and culture barriers, which he LITERALLY DID ON THE FIRST DAY THROUGH THE WALL. I can't imagine a reason dream has for this other than...attention? idk. Everything about this screams that he just wants to do what quackity is doing but "bigger and better" and that misses the point of qsmp and, even if I'm wrong about his intentions, makes dream look kinda like a dick.

Oh, first-ever bilingual server? well here's the first MULTI-LINGUAL SERVER, which hinges on the technicality that 'multi' here means 3+, not 2+, even though multiple just means 'more than one'. But that technicality is bullshit!!! So, no, actually, QSMP is the first Multilingual server. Fuck off!!!!!

The addition of 'live translation' is iffy to me, I checked out his video on the mod just to make sure I know what I'm talking about and... yeah it's iffy at best. It's technologically cool, and I will give him credit for making a mod for this. However, that's not that much praise all things considered. Practically, you'll have to constantly be looking at other people's character's ALL THE TIME in order to have a conversation with them, which isn't feasible in a natural way. I'm honestly not going to say much about the translations themselves because I'm only fluent in English. However, I still highly doubt that his mod will pick up on any nuances and slang in a different language

Basically, it would have been better to not do this to not bother with a mod, and to encourage others to learn different languages LIKE QUACKITY DID.

Large servers with 60+ people and 6 leaders...so like they all get grouped together? What is this a shitty model un? And with the leaderboard, I want to laugh at the idea that this is a very very bad take on Minecraft Olympics. What will they score, achievements? How many kills someone can get in a tournament-style bracket? How many blocks mined? What on earth is 'language ranking'???? This is a server that already had multiple languages set on the premises of uniting there isn't a need for another gimmick? TBH im so baffled on this that I'm curious enough to not seriously talk shit on that part but that doesn't count for the next thing I'll rant about-

First of all, as the main server admin, owner, and Guy In Charge, that's horrible management. Yet he's never spoken about it as far as I'm aware. He's never given a reason he's so unreachable. So, if I'm correct, that makes THIS COMMENT the first time he's mentioned the dsmp's shit communication issues and it's done in such a backhanded way I want to scream like YOU WERE THE ISSUE DREAM. To be clear, for anyone unaware, Keemstar's a huge piece of shit and liar. Like, he's doxxed a ton of people, supported abusers, falsely accused people of any number of things (including one case where he accused a 62 year old twitch streamer of being a convicted pedophile, despite the convicted pedophile literally being in jail. All Keemstar had was that the two kinda looked similar), and so many other horrible, bigoted, awful things. He literally tried to get an actual swatter/doxxer/pedophile to doxx someone for him in revenge for his own interview with that person being shit. Like, Keemstar straight up admitted to doing that.

Keemstar literally heavily contributed to driving someone who was mentally ill to suicide, including telling them to keep having mental breakdowns so he would have more drama to cover. He's platformed false sexual assault allegations against people he doesn't like, while totally ignoring, downplaying, or dismissing allegations against people he does like. He uses allegations of serious behavior as a tool for whatever suits his purposes.

If you're taking anything Keemstar says seriously, platforming him, spreading his claims, etc, you are the one in the wrong here. I don't give a fuck about what he claims to know about Dream or that situation whatsoever. The man's a liar, he doesn't give a shit about any potential victims, and he's using this situation to try to gain attention and clicks. Spreading his claims is giving him exactly what he wants, and it doesn't do any good for anyone but him.

Chill the fuck out and wait for lawyers to resolve this situation. I get that it can be tough to wait things out, but it's a hell of a lot better than spreading bullshit from Keemstar.

They’re both grown adults! Quackity can make his own damn decisions and he doesn’t need to justify them to every single person on the internet. Honestly I think he took the more mature approach, he isn’t an asshole for just.. not wanting to be friends with somebody anymore, even if the reasons why are petty and boring.

Dream on the other hand turned something that should have just been between them and wrote a whole twitter thread about his grievances with Quackity, begging him to return while painting him like the bad guy for not messaging him back :(((( who “inadvertently”encouraged his fans to take sides and go harass Quackity about something that wasn’t even a big deal… what hopefully wasn’t a big deal…
