This is a weird comparison, but thinking about what the Barbie movie may be like, the live action Dora film from a couple years ago (yes, I watched it) comes to mind. That movie was good, bc it *knew* it was completely ridiculous and poked fun at aspects of the source material in a way that wasn't insulting, but hilarious-and social media was already doing the same thing anyway. I'm thinking the Barbie movie may do the something similar, a la Life in the Dreamhouse-which poked fun at the Barbie brand but it was okay bc Mattel made it lol. Idk. I'm just hyped for this film 😆

I was most excited for Isabella Merced as Hawkgirl in the casting for "Superman: Legacy", as she has been a favourite actor of mine since her completely unhinged, brilliant performance in "Dora and the Lost City of Gold"; but seeing her completely fucking hench and built for the part is completely discomfuckingbobulating, and I am not sure what to do with that image and information.
On the one hand: nice?
On the other: why is Dora spelling the word "gains"?
She has also thrown my partner into a bisexual crisis.
