lowkey, in steddie fic where rnance is a side pairing it sometimes feels like it's done to in some way do away with both Robin and nancy. like with Nancy it's the whole "pair the canon love interest with someone else so they don't get in the way of the ship" thing but gay, and with robin it sometimes feels like it's done to make her less of a presence in Steve's life to like make more room for eddie(or whoever) and Steve's reaction is almost like it Has to be positive to not put a strain on their friendship bc that's not what they want the story to be about.

and sometimes there's even the vibe of like steve has to cheer robin on to not be in the wrong, but robin gets put in the wrong bc she gets too involved with nancy, leaving steve sad, eddie comes in to rescue steve from being Alone, and after steddie get together robin comes back and apologises for being too into her girlfriend, and then everything is swell! idk there's just vibes sometimes that the motivation for rnance as a side ship is doing every character involved a disservice.

but like i get that sometimes u have a ship that u can't imagine not being together, so they are together in every story u write, even if for the sake of the story u want to tell, maybe they shouldn't be.

hmm yeah I see what you mean, I dont think it's necessarily like what ppl are thinking when they write these side plots it's just one of those things where you spend like three or whatever chapters Just writing about steddie and then ur like wait what were the other characters doing? okay they were off kissing too. tbh most of the time it gets revealed that robin has been hanging out with Nancy in steddie fics after Steve and Eddie just went through some sort of conflict so I think writers tend to want to have a bit of an emotional break like we Just went through some relationship angst/change but dw there's no angst about ur ex and best friend dating! lol and then robin provides some emotional insight to Steve about Eddie and then everyone kisses and is happy like ive come to expect that if Steve and Robin are fighting for any reason once they make up the romantic relationship will go through some sort of change too I mean it's classic romcom but yeah I do agree that robin dating someone is often done to get Steve and Eddie alone sort of in the same way the younger teens are there but not really there you know like steve's hosting them all the time and it feels like he's barely ever talking to them lol like the amount of times ive read about Steve and robin going to a gay club and then they almost immediately separate is a little funny to me. I think they would be nervous little wallflowers the first time they go to a gay club but that's just me

anyway yeah I think this does go back to ppl just not wanting to deal with stancy lmao like I get it I dont ship it either but I think waving away their flirting/potential romance rekindling as just some weird thing that didn't really happen lol justtt doesn't do either of them a favour. I know Steve was definitely having a manic episode in those last few episodes but still.

this is something I can only really say about r/nance in steddie fic tho bc I am not reading r/nance....zero desire <3 then again I dont think ive actually read a steddie fic in a minute I kinda hate Eddie at the moment in a bit of an older sibling hating the new baby kind of way rn. like wdym we're not giving him back to the hospital lmao

I’m warning y’all right now that I don’t even want to watch this at all. I only am because Mickey is in it. I also don’t have any motivation to do this recap but I’m getting one out anyway.

So, I've Been Thinking About The WinterFalcon TV Show....

Well, I don't exactly know what this is gonna become, but anyway...

(WARNING: LOOOOOONG post ahead.)

- I recently found out Bucky has a cat? Alpine? I'm not entirely sure if this is just a Fandom thing or canon in the comics but whatever, it seems to be quite widely known and I. Am. 100%. Here. For. It.

- Bucky with a cat. Just think about it. A beautiful white cat. That's it. Just Bucky with a cat.

- Alpine falling asleep on Bucky.

- Bucky falling asleep with Alpine (also asleep).

- Sam finding Bucky and Alpine asleep and smiling and this being the one (1) time he doesn't do anything snarky just smiles because aww honestly? This is the cutest thing he's seen all day?

- Oh my God Bucky getting annoyed at Alpine (while cooking? I feel like it should be while cooking or something). Like shooing her away or whatever. And then Alpine runs off sad (except not really because she's a sneaky little bb).

- And so then Bucky doesn't see her for a few hours and he's like meh whatever she's a cat she'll come back later.

- Except she doesn't.

- And it gets dark.

- And Bucky just stands staring out the window.

- Waiting.

- And waiting.

- ...

- ...and then he's stuck halfway up a tree in the middle of the night trying to get his evil cat who's so proud of herself.

- Actually at this point I don't even care about a storyline or any kind of drama or anything I just want like six hours of Bucky and his cat.

- Actually no speaking of Sam.

- So before I kinda shipped Stucky but I kinda shipped ScarletSoldier (so sue me, I'm a terrible person) and kinda shipped SamBucky (I think that's their ship name) but now I think about it: YES.

- They N E E D to get together. I don't even care if we have to wait til the last episode, it just HAS to happen.

- Speaking of: LGBT Bucky.

- I know, I know, but hear me out: Marvel needs more representation, the fandom ships Bucky with literally every male character that exists within the MCU, and honestly? That would be so cool?

- I actually had a dream once where Sam and Bucky got woken up in the middle of the night by some kind of noise on their apartment and they were just wearing their nightclothes and Bucky's was boxers and a black shirt that said "SOME ASSASSINS ARE GAY. GET OVER IT." in rainbow letters and he and Sam just looked at each other and he shrugged and said "I think it's it's supposed to be a joke."

- Or Bucky playing the traditionally feminine role and distracting guys and girls using his sexuality. And being really good at it.

- Also, I hear Sharon Carter is back for the series. At first I was like meh because I found her a bit boring in CW and TWS but when I think about it it was probably because she was effectively just a plot device but the more I think about what she COULD be, well, boy, am I excited.

- Sharon sharing snark with the boys! Sharon teasing them! Sharon sharing stories about Aunt Peggy and Uncle Steve! (Staron not, EVER, being a thing!) Sharon knowing how into each other Bucky and Sam are! Sharon playing with Alpine! Sharon being cool! Sharon fighting! Sharon being generally an all-round, useful, well-rounded, complex, developed character!!!!

- If she HAS to end up being a love interest for one of the boys, let her be all the above things too! If she ends up with Sam, have Bucky be completely unimpressed but fully supportive (*cough* jealous *cough*)! If she ends up with Bucky, Sam can tease them forever for it!

- Better yet, have it be temporary! Let one of them go out with her and then they slowly realise their own chemistry and she lets them be together like the good and noble person she is!

- And, the fandom doesn't hate her for it!

- So many exclamation marks! What is with these! I don't know! Please stop!

- Oh. My. God. The Shield!!!! Let them share the shield. PLEASE let them share the shield. Sam, because he's Cap. Bucky, because he has experience with the shield and honestly? Joint Captain Americas? That would be cool.

- Retro cars. Motorbikes. I know nothing about them but they're aesthetically pleasing.

- Bars. Restaurants. Have Sam and Bucky go out places. Yes. Oh my God, the fans in public places.

- The fans always going to see Sam, the Falcon, the New Captain America, Steve Rogers BEST FRIEND.

- Excuse me, what???

- Yeah.

- Just so Bucky can be salty about it. It would be hilarious.

- Also, bars: girls flirting with Bucky and/or Sam and they pretend to be a couple just for the fun of it and then, oh? Wait? Haha no I'm not still holding your hand Sam what are you talking about???

- ...

- "Buck, man, you still haven't let go."

- SAM FLYING BUCKY AROUND AS HE SHOOTS AT PEOPLE BEING TERRIFIED FOR HIS LIFE BECAUSE AAAAAGH HEIGHTS BUT ALSO WOO HE'S A SCARY MURDER PIGEON.

- Oh, God, the A N G S T. Bitterness, SamBucky comforting each other, sad stories, tears, anger, yes, yes, yes.

- Music? I mean I feel like there isn't anything that can't be made better but 70s and 80s music but at this point I feel like it's a bit cliché and overused. Dont get me wrong, I expect some proper good jams to be in this show, but I also don't want it to be generic.

- At the same time I don't want them to use modern pop happy romancey rubbish that probably wouldn't suit the tone of the show.

- You know what, I'll make a playlist. If I don't make one soon, something can digitally shout at me.

Well. Well, well, well. I didnt realise I wanted quite so much from this show until I did this. I just spent over an hour on this. Maybe I'll make a part two :P

i’ve seen articles here and there where the duffers say they’re contracted for four seasons so....

give me the long game, i’ll take it.

give me the whole billy/karen thing -- i don’t want it, but clearly it’s coming so FINE, give me that.

give me a broken billy going to her and letting out his frustrations and resentment in meaningless sex. maybe steve even comes over to talk to nancy or pick up will and mike and sees Billy there and is like uhh, what could you possibly have to do here.

and maybe he finds out and Billy smirks like it’s impressive but Steve is just like wtf is wrong with you.

give me him breaking down eventually and karen catches him crying and he flips, runs out of the house and refuses to go back because someone saw him feeling something.

give me billy dancing on eggshells when max is with all her friends, pretty much ignoring her when they’re alone together because he doesn’t want to start anymore shit, and this is coming from billy, the shitstarter but he’s tired, he’s as over his bullshit facade as everyone else so he just sits down and shuts up

give me a summer of intense almost-interactions, at the pool, at school, maybe a barbecue -- all while steve’s face slowly heals and billy’s forced to confront it all the time (though from the scoops ahoy commercial it seems to have healed completely)

give me billy finding out steve is working at the mall and can’t help but go to pester him under the guise of buying ice cream, flirting with robin who sees through his bullshit and pissing steve off to the point where steve almost gets fired for telling billy to fuck off.

give me the new big bad causing shenanigans (is it horrible that i want it to affect someone else for once, leave will ALONE) and the kids banding together to say it’s up to them to stop it (because who the hell else is going to do it steve, we already know what we’re up against, we have a moral obligation to at least try)

give me the last episode being a final boss battle at the mall (because hello, that place screams FINAL BOSS BATTLE) and instead of steve always being the last to know, i want billy coming in ten minutes late with starbucks (metaphorically) and being like WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT and Steve just being like LOOK IF YOU DONT DIE WE’LL EXPLAIN EVERYTHING

they don’t die, barely.

give me an aftermath, a destroyed mall, empty except for the kids and steve and billy (maybe hopper, sure, hopper can be there too, also i have a suspicion robin will totally be there) and they’re all piled in the food court, eating stolen goods, covered in blood, quiet

and billy can’t eat cause he can’t believe what’s just happened

and he acts like an asshole, tells them they’re all crazy for keeping this shit a secret, storms out

and steve follows him, keeps telling billy he needs to keep his mouth shut or the hawkins lab guys will find him, and billy scoffs, he’s not scared and steve says it doesn’t matter if he’s not scared, he’ll be killed all the same.

and billy kind of breaks down a little, mini panic attack taking over him but he reacts angrily to it, starts kicking shit, maybe throws a trash can, gets up in steve’s face and tells him to back off

and steve’s like dude what the fuck is wrong with you, we don’t have to be enemies, i don’t have the energy to care that much, not when there’s literal monsters out there, why the fuck are you always so angry

and it doesn’t stem from any romantic feelings, it’s not like the scene is brimming with sexual tension at all but billy just snaps and kisses him cause he’s angry and frustrated and when he pulls away steve’s face is a mixture of stunned and new understanding

and it cuts to black

Ok if this is loki then what’s with the get up? Where is the drama? The showmanship? And why do you need the reset charges? Assuming this person took them from each scene that is at least six or seven? Or is this eight? Would this be the one that they said earlier with the captain lady interrupting or is this another one after that?
