I want to know how all might reacts to reincarnated afo!aizawa

Like I think All Might would understand that Aizawa doesn't remember his villainous past, and has essentially been reborn, but the fact that afo somehow managed to get away with it (in a matter of speaking at least) must be like one of those forbidden itches from another dimension: forever vexing him

So All Might doesnt find out about this until Aizawa goes to him himself a few months after the worst of it, which is important because the reaction is defintely something that would vary based on when and how he learned it.

As it is, Aizawa goes to Might Tower and is like "Hey, I'm a UA student, Nedzu emailed All Might and said why he needed to see me, if he hasn't checked it tell him its about All For One." and is quickly sent up to talk. All Might is confused about the why- this kid is like, sixteen, AfO could have been dead before he was born.

But then Aizawa sighs, and says "I was born on the day you killed All For One," which means he knows way more information than he should, and All Might listens even when the kid immediately seems to go off topic by explaining that he's always wanted to be a hero, even though erasure is a weak quirk, and he knew he wouldn't be able to be a hero like All Might. Then he gets to the Garvey fight, and very quietly says that when he tried to erase the villain, he stole one of his quirks instead. All Might looks at the boy's palms, and sees.

But he doesn't quite see the truth yet.

"You're All For One's son." He breathes.

Shouta shakes his head. "No. Worse. I was born the day you killed him, right? Well, the hospital I was born at, there was a doctor that worked for AfO. Tried to save his life. Couldn't. So AfO ordered him to grab a baby, and transfered his quirk... to me." All Might relaxes, because that is tragic, but easier to deal with- "And then, I guess, they lost me? Not sure, but um, after Gravey, i went to the hospital and the Doctor kept messing with me. He was giving me more of All For One's quirks... and his memories. And i- it was so stupid, I went in there alone, and now... it's all there. in me."

All Might is no longer relaxed. He stares at the kid. Miserable, Aizawa holds out a hand, and a spike shoots out from it. One All Might remembers going into his chest, and he flinches.

Aizawa puts his hand down.

"I can't figure it out."

"Can't figure what out?" All Might asks.

"I can't figure out if I'm more me or more him now. I mean, I feel like I'm in charge. But he's been alive a lot longer, even if so much of those memories a blur. And, logically, even if he isn't in my head, his memories have to affect me. I mean, i knew going alone was stupid, but all those memories of his power, his pride, i ignored it and went anyway. I can't figure out what it means to know all of this now, who I am or what I should do."

All Might nods. He feels such pity for the boy, such grief he didn't prevent this. caused it, even, really. "And you came to me?"

"Yeah. You're the person alive who's known All For One the longest, except Gran Torino and I didn't know how to find him." The teen shrugs. "You'd be the one to know if he's... you know, if i'm him. You'd be the one to stop him."

All Might stares at him, not moving, not speaking. Aizawa beings to twitch despite himself.

"You trusted me to fix this." He finally says. "Yeah, there's no way in hell All For One's in charge of your brain then. You're safe, kid. You might have the memories, but i take it you hate the guy in them?"

"More than anything. You're sure? It makes sense that i could be influenced-"

"Young Aizawa. You're safe. I am sure. And if that changes, i'll make sure to help you. I am here."

Aizawa goes nearly boneless on the couch. "Thanks."

"No problem. I'm guessing you'd feel better if you were doing something about it, though?"

"Huh?"

"You're a hero. You feel better when you're doing something."

"Yeah. What do you have in mind?"

"Let's see if any of your new old memories can help us weed out anyone else who could be planning something like the Doctor was, and then come up with some plans to use all those quirks in you now for good."

Aizawa smiles for the first time in weeks. It is a terrifying smile, but it is absolutely nothing like All For One's too-calculated smirk. All Might smiles back.

Storytime:

I've mentioned in a previous post that my sister got me into My Hero Academia a few years back, and while showing me the first episode, when we got to this scene, I asked aloud, "Why is there a random foot x-ray just hanging out there?"

And she just shushed me and said, "They'll get to it, hang on!"

So they explained it. All right, so it's li'l Deku's x-ray and it's determined he doesn't have a Quirk due to some evolution thing that's apparent by his bone structure. Gotcha.

Here's the thing, though:

That ain't a child's foot x-ray. All the joints look fully developed, so this is a grown adult's foot and not the toddler Deku is supposed to be here.

So if there was any truth to the fan theory that Deku did originally have a Quirk that was stolen by Garaki...not only did the doc have the friggin audacity, but he also staged the laziest lie he could have.

Side Note: Film x-ray with a light box and everything? Come on. That display method is so outdated that they don't even teach radiographers how to develop x-ray images anymore. (At least not in the US.) It's all computerized nowadays.

Do you think the doc would have cut Aizawas/Yaumubres vocal cords during the nomufication process to shut him up? Either to temporarily disable his voice or permanently damage it? Bc he'd definitely be in a lot of pain and probably screaming throughout? (At least pre tank)

There's other ways for communication and Id think that'd be another sorta way for the doc to dehumanize Aizawa to help the programing take? (There's a lot of fics out there with Mic loosing his voice/quirk and then Aizawa loosing his vision, but I haven't seen any where Aizawa looses his voice? Which would be heart breaking for Mic to never be able to hear his husband say he loves him again (even after getting him back/the healing process))

My immediate thinking is prrrrrobably not, since Garaki doesn't seem to mind listening to people scream in pain and Aizawa's voice doesn't cause any ill effects like Mic's does. All the other Nomu that have thinking capability still have their voices. Now, since Aizawa would get violently sassy at a certain pain point, the doc might take temporary action, but I also think that blatantly ignoring a human in terrible pain is also pretty dehumanizing. :(

Aizawa is a very resilient person. But if after getting him back his standard quietness has evolved to a vaccuum of silence by choice rather than force, it's almost worse. Shattered resilience that needs to be built back up with the help of loved ones.

Toontown AU: I know this probably couldn't happen, but just imagine Midoriya seeing Garaki being arrested and asking the immortal question: Nyehh, munch munch munch, What's up Doc?

If for some reason he was on the team to arrest the Doctor that is how he would make himself known

My favorite sequence idea for Bnha is one where Garaki is the villain, he escapes from prison, trying to clone All for one or something like that, since for him not even death should be an obstacle to the will of his God

tbh I'm not the biggest fan of the afo being cloned concept, though I kind of like that one idea of doc secretly creating a clone of afo and that clone escaped and ended up becoming hisashi midoriya

but if I were to play with the idea then I could see it happening post canon where doc after escaping hears about the news of afo dying after in both body and vestige so in a desperate attempt to get him back tries to make a clone of afo using some of his hair he kept in a little box (don't ask how he got it) but while the clone looks exactly like afo it doesn't have the same personality that doc loved. maybe for a while he tries to pretend the clone is afo, teaches it to copy his mannerisms too, but it doesn't work out and doc becomes extremely depressed because his beloved lord is gone forever.

"I'm going to put you under an induced coma, the first stage will take a week at most," Garaki said as he forced a needle on his arm as soon as he got to the laboratory. It didn't take long for the world to start to become hazy, all his aching muscles relaxing as his vision blurred. He barely had time to reach the stretcher before passing out.

Huh. Felt like the Doc had hooked him up on the good stuff. How strangely nice of him.

Anybody who has a basic understanding for character arcs or story telling in general knew Bakugo was coming back. No I didn't expect Edgeshot to do what he's doing, yes it's a little wild even by BNHA standards imo but also it's not so crazy that I can't just simply look past it.

People who are bitching either really have no idea what they are reading, had their hopes WAY up for Bakugo staying dead for literally no reason, or are mad that AFO is back when that was ALSO incredibly obvious that it was going to happen as early as Shigaraki's fucking introduction.

I mean at this point people will bitch because it's just not what they want. And that's fine! Let them. We'll have a good time over in this small corner of the fandom.

Actually there are hints that afo is aware of the abuse izuku went through by bakugous hand. In the kamino arc when shigaraki asks afo for help with bakugou, afo is VERY happy and excited that shiggy asked him for help. He also gave subtle hints that he planned to turn bakugou into a nomou later. In the vestige world, he called izuku by the insults bakugou used to call him as and thats only possible if he knows enough about their past, otherwise there is no way how afo knows about that.

And lets not forget what happened to little tsubasa, one of bakugous minions in bulling izuku. Lets not forget that hori confirmed that little tsubasa was dr. Garakis grandson and was turned into the winged nomou who trys to "kidnap" izuku is hosu but is killed by stain. And yes that means dr. Garaki turned his own grandson into a nomou. Its not clear if little tsubasa was killed to be turned into one, or if he maybe died naturally and the doc turned his grandson into a nomou out of "grief". Because we know garaki loves his nomous, even gives them names and treats them like pets. But its indeed possible that afo ordered little tsubasa to be nomoufied as a punishment for abusing his child and garaki sees afo as a god. And his grandson hurtet the child of the man he sees as a god. Its not hard to imagine garaki would do that to his own grandchild in the name of his god.

The reason why bakugou wasnt turned into one? Well lets remember that afo focuses his nomou experiments normally on ORPHANS! And many orphanages belong to garaki. The chances that a hero finds out about a few missing orphans, nobody even cares about is very low, compared to if a boy like bakugou with an powerful quirk, a very loud personality and most importantly rich parents would go missing. Bakugous parents would have ask heroes for help to find him and the chance that all might or other heroes would get a clue about afo and the whole nomou thing is way higher. Garaki on the other side has control over the children in the orphanages. No parents or guardians who would ask heroes for help out of concern. Also due to izuku and bakugous "close" relationship as children and the fact that inko was most likely close enough to the bakugous too, afo would have shooved his family in the direct spotlight of heroes attention. Heroes or the police would have ask questions to friends of the family and by that afos family could have been discovered. But he doesnt want any of them to know - his family is a secret and needs to stay that! Kidnapping bakugou would habe brought him more problems then solutions and the danger for his family to be discovered is way to high, should heroes and police focus on them to find a missing boy. Also you can bet izuku the little angel he his, would have tried to find bakugou on his own, no matter what an awful little bastard bakugou was to izuku and that would have complicated things even more.

Also I think a part of him hoped that izuku would grow into hating their society due to the way bakugou and most others treated him like trash. Easier to ask him later to follow his fathers way.

Passimian, its Ability Receiver copies the abilities of defeated allies. Smeargle, copies almost ANY pokemon move.

Oh I don't think the doc had gotten a list yet, at least I don't recall so. Those are some great ones right there, yeah he would have copying types under his belt, that's for sure.

He strips down and watches her while he waits, then steps into the shower to stand behind her. He lathers up his hands and starts massaging her as he washes her body, kneading her muscles with the pads of his thumbs.

I watch him out of the corner of my eye, admiring his physique before he gets into the shower. The massage feels amazing on my tired muscles, but I still shoot him an annoyed look over my shoulder.

Whenever I'm rereading Tenko's past and I reach that part when he's on the floor over everything that happened to him and Doc Garaki looks at AFO and goes "should I fix him?"

The horror I FEEL. They're looking at a 5 years old and wondering if they should erase his emotions to "perfect him". Doc Garaki is stripping him of his humanity in such a casual way. Should I fix him? like he's broken for suffering over the death of his family, for grieving , for feeling conflicted because he is free of the house that abused him but they are all gone and he misses them.

They're about to change his name and surname and convince him that he was born to destroy and live in misery. They are about to cover him with the hands of his deceased family. They are about to offer killing people as comfort, nurturing the hole of hatred and rage in his chest for their own plans, but it isn't enough damage? Torture?

Should I fix him?

I'm sorry. It makes me want to cry. He's 5 years old. He has no one. His family failed him. Society failed him. Not even Overhaul was that cruel with Eri. Not even Endeavor was that cruel with Touya. No one has ever been that cruel in the bnha world.

Now, with Decay mastered to the point he can devastate a city with it alone, having the poer of AFO backing him up is just complete overkill. Tomura’s Decay is now potent enough he could theoretically stand a chance of killing All Might in his prime with it. 2) “Wait what the fuck- Are those the quirk erasing bullets? Oh jesus fuck I forgot that they even existed for a moment- Well, it was like, only one back then, right? Or aren`t those bullets, are they quirk flasks? Wait, did the doc managed to collect genetic material from Overhaul?”- He managed to duplicate the Bullets from the samples they retrieved from Overhaul- and it was technically Eri’s genetic material that was powering them – which means that, which Garaki’s capture and the machine being broken, those few remaining bullets Tomura’s salvaged are all that’s left of that game-breaking trump card. Dangerous in a long-term prospect, but as it stands, Tomura won’t really have any need of them to get the job done – their main threat was wide-scale distribution to the grunts of the PLF as a means of turning the odds against the more-skilled heroes they’d be contending with. Still, it means that X-Less’s actions weren’t entirely for naught, as he’s left Tomura with a still-limited number of available bullets to use. 3) “YEAH SHIGARAKI, WE NOTICED, BUT WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU SERIOUSLY LET YOUR PHONE CHARGING RIGHT BY YOUR TANK?

Wait really? The Doctor was confirmed as Tsubasa’s grandfather?? Guess that’s what I get for relying on the bnha wiki too much, since it doesn’t include relevant info...

ok i went and looked because i distinctly remembered that once upon a time, Doc and Tsubasa-chan had the reference to the first databook with listing each other in the “family” column of their character page.

The Jakku Quirk Swap scenario just gets more funny the more I think about it because like. Nobody is happy with this.

The vestiges? Just want to go back to Izuku, but can’t, because that’s where AfO is, and he probably planned this, that bastard. At least they can conspire to get Shigaraki arrested.

Tomura? Is mad because the doc gave him the trial version of AFO, and also because he wants to destroy everything but his grandmother’s ghost has put him in floaty-time-out.

All for One? Is currently trying to scramble all his plans, because he very decisively did not plan for this, and now his original quirk’s stuck in another completely unenhanced body, with the only options for getting out being trying steal OfA and hoping that they swap again, or stealing Garaki from police custody, finding a facility of his the authorities don’t know about and having him take it, then somehow getting Tomura back and redoing that procedure all over again. All with an uncooperative host.

And Izuku? Since this is comedic, I’ll spare the horrific image of AfO doing the tumor thing he was doing to Shigaraki to Izuku, and instead provide the image of AfO’s vestige, who’s only a torso and right arm, laying face-down on the ground, trying to get Izuku to at least flip him over, and Izuku is just. Done. Because he’s got way more important things to worry about right now than this, like where all the other vestiges went, and stopping Shigaraki from destroying society, thanks.

Meanwhile, several kilometers away, Gigantomachia is confused why Tomura and Master are now two different scents, but he’ll probably still just take them both once he gets there.

Personally, I think it's going very well for everyone involved.
