The Ayurvedic approach to digestive health in children focuses on balancing the doshas and supporting the body's natural digestive fire, known as agni. Here are some Ayurvedic tips for improving digestive health in children:
Feed your child a healthy diet that is appropriate for their dosha. For example, a child with a vata dosha may benefit from a diet that is light and easy to digest, while a child with a kapha dosha may benefit from a diet that is warm and stimulating.
Cook your child's food with warming spices, such as ginger, turmeric, and cinnamon. These spices can help to improve digestion and absorption.
Avoid giving your child too much processed food, sugary drinks, and junk food. These foods can all be hard to digest and can upset the body's natural balance.
Make sure your child chews their food thoroughly. This helps to break down the food and make it easier to digest.
Encourage your child to eat at regular intervals. This helps to keep their agni strong and prevents them from getting too hungry or too full.
Let your child eat mindfully. This means eating without distractions, such as television or electronic devices. Mindful eating helps to promote digestion and absorption.
If your child is experiencing digestive problems, you may want to consider consulting with an Ayurvedic practitioner. They can help you to identify the underlying cause of the problem and recommend specific treatments.
By following these Ayurvedic tips, you can help to keep your child's digestive system healthy and support their overall growth and development.

NOURISHING NATURALLY: THE POWER OF A2 MILK FOR BABIES AND CHILDREN
Tumblr media
In a world where dietary choices abound, one particular type of milk has been gaining attention for its potential to provide a natural and gentle option: A2 milk. With its unique protein composition and reported benefits, A2 milk has emerged as a fascinating alternative to conventional milk. From easier digestibility to potential relief for milk-related discomfort, A2 milk offers a promising path to nourishment without compromise. Join us as we delve into the realm of A2 milk, exploring its properties, advantages, and the growing interest surrounding this dairy innovation. Get ready to discover the power of A2 milk, its potential to nurture our bodies naturally, and why it is recommended for children.
Why A2 Milk?
A2 milk is pretty cool because it has a special protein called A2 beta-casein that’s easier to digest for some folks compared to regular milk with A1 beta-casein. So, if you usually feel uncomfortable after drinking regular milk, A2 milk might be a better choice for you. The best part is that A2 milk has all the same nutrients like calcium, protein, vitamins, and minerals as regular milk, so you’re not missing out on anything important. It comes from cows that naturally produce only the A2 protein, without any fancy genetic stuff. Plus, it tastes rich and creamy, which makes it extra enjoyable. Keep in mind, everyone’s different, so A2 milk might work wonders for some and not make much difference for others. If you have specific dietary concerns or medical conditions, it’s always a good idea to talk to a healthcare pro or a nutrition expert.
Benefits of A2 Milk
In a quest for healthier and more easily digestible milk alternatives, A2 milk has emerged as a fascinating contender. With its unique protein composition and potential benefits, A2 milk has garnered attention as a promising option for those seeking a more natural and gentle dairy experience. From improved digestibility to potential relief for milk-related discomfort, A2 milk offers a compelling story of nourishment and well-being. Join us as we delve into the world of A2 milk, uncovering its properties, advantages, and the growing interest surrounding this nutritional innovation. Prepare to explore the power of A2 milk as we navigate its potential to nurture our bodies naturally and promote a healthier relationship with dairy.
Easier Digestion: A2 milk contains the A2 beta-casein protein, which is believed to be more easily digested by some individuals compared to the A1 beta-casein protein found in regular milk. This may help reduce digestive discomfort, such as bloating, gas, and stomach upset, for those who experience milk-related issues.
Potential Relief for Milk Sensitivity: Many people who are lactose intolerant or have milk sensitivity have reported better tolerance and fewer symptoms when consuming A2 milk. It may be a suitable option for individuals who experience adverse reactions to regular milk but still desire the nutritional benefits of dairy.
Nutritional Profile: A2 milk maintains the same nutritional composition as regular milk, providing essential nutrients like calcium, protein, vitamins, and minerals. It can be a valuable source of nutrition, supporting healthy bones, muscles, and overall growth and development.
Natural and Non-GMO: A2 milk is obtained from cows that naturally produce the A2 beta-casein protein, without any genetic modification. It is a more natural and wholesome milk option, free from artificial additives or alterations.
Flavor and Creaminess: A2 milk is often praised for its rich, creamy taste, making it a preferred choice for those who enjoy a fuller-bodied milk flavor.

This article is about the benefits of applesauce. Take note!
Apples are among the healthiest fruits in the world, so it’s a great idea to consume them in general. Additionally, enjoying one raw (without or with the peel, depending on your choice) or roasted, is not only healthy but also nutritious. There’s almost without a doubt a recipe that’s been passed down in your own family for generations. This traditional dish for kids is simple to make and the best part is that it preserves all the advantages and vitamins of the apple. It’s full of antioxidants, flavonoids, and vitamins. This dish is scrumptious and beneficial to your health.
Applesauce is capable of lessening your chance of cardiovascular disease and most cancers (as well as chronic diseases), for example. That’s why it’s an excellent idea for adults to consume it too. Studies have shown that the fructose in this tasty fruit favours the elimination of toxins. When you add honey and cinnamon to the mix it not only makes it taste better but without a doubt adds to the benefits. Whenever you must leave the peel on when you prepare apples as it’s rich in pectin and promotes excellent digestion. When you were unwell as a child, your mother or grandmother likely made you eat applesauce. It was not an unusual thing to provide youngsters who were affected by digestive or intestinal issues.
Perhaps you haven’t had this amazing puree in a long time, but it has many useful properties that you ought to know about. Apples are some of the most vital sources of nutrients in nature. They can help:
Reduce cellular aging: apples are an excellent source of vitamin C (which improves your immune system), and one apple a day packs 11% of what you need to stay healthy and strong. Apples have also been proven to lessen the harmful effects of free radicals on your cells and organs. This is a common problem for older people.
Improve your digestion: applesauce carries loads of insoluble fibre, however, to obtain it you need to leave the peel on in the recipe. It promotes proper intestinal transit and healthy bowel movements. For maximum digestive and intestinal function males between the ages of 19 and 50 need 38 grams of fibre a day. Females in the same age range need 25 grams a day.
This dish is ideal for individuals who are suffering from constipation, however, to maximize its outcomes you must also be drinking plenty of water.
Restore your appetite: absolutely everyone who's ill and recuperating is aware that applesauce is a superb way to restore the desire to eat. It's regularly given to the elderly who can't chew or swallow food well.
It’s extensively utilized with people who've eating disorders like bulimia or anorexia.
satisfy hunger.
In case you want to lose weight, on the other hand, applesauce can help you there, too.
One cup of unsweetened applesauce only consists of 100 calories. For a lot of people that’s sufficient to go a few hours without eating or the temptation to snack on something low on nutritional value.
When you add a tablespoon of shaved almonds or raisins it turns into a dessert that’s filled with healthy fat, protein, and carbohydrates. Your feeling of satisfaction will also go up!
How do you prepare applesauce?
Now that you recognize how good this scrumptious dish can be, it’s a terrific idea to discover ways to make it at home. This is an easy and quick recipe! Enjoy all the nutrients and share them with your family after lunch or dinner.
Ingredients:
3 red apples
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon (5 g)
2 tablespoons of honey (50 g)
Preparation:
Wash the apples properly and cut them into quarters.
Remove the stem, heart, and seeds.
Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 40 minutes at 350° F.
Remove from the oven and leave to cool before mashing them with a potato masher until you have a thick paste.
Stir in the cinnamon and honey (the quantities above are approximations, and you may use more or less as preferred). Store in individual containers in the refrigerator.
You can enjoy applesauce hot or cold. It all depends on what you prefer. You can also include a mixture of fruits for this recipe: figs and pears are wonderful complements to apples.
Is there any reason not to consume applesauce?
In case you’re feeding applesauce to the elderly, children, or a person who is ill and underweight, we suggest adding a tablespoon of olive oil to the puree to maximize the benefits.
People who do not tolerate fructose well should avoid this dish. rather, try using strawberries, raspberries, or pineapple as opposed to apples, and blend it with a bit of rice.

I'm going to think out loud about the dungeon meshi ages for a sec
I'm going to preface this by saying that this is based on my existing knowledge, and fact checking is difficult because there is A LOT of contentious research out there.
First of all, I think a lot of people come at this from a modern lens, forgetting the context that this is fantasy medieval era. this is fiction. on top of that, this is specifically Ryoko Kui's understanding of medieval era aging. plus fantasy. So before anyone comes at me with a bunch of 'ermmmm actualy's just consider that I don't really care and also it might not matter in this context lol
as far as the "age of maturity" assigned for each race, something I don't see many people talk about is that "teenagers" are a fairly recent concept. For a long time, you were either considered A Kid or Not A Kid. but this doesn't necessarily mean kids were more/less developed then, just our cultural expectations for certain age groups have changed.
Laios says the age of maturity for tallmen is 16. I don't think that means 16 year olds in the dungeon meshi universe are necessarily "more mature" than modern 16 year olds, but moreso that they have more responsibilities. However, things like medicine, smoking, drinking, sun exposure, physical activity, etc all affect age, so it's possible that developmentally they're closer to modern 18 year olds? Izutsumi is 17 (less than two weeks from turning 18, actually), and very much acts like a modern 17 year old.
The age of maturity for half-foots is 14. Chilchuck was 13 when he got married and had his first two children. Even though, at age 29, he's the equivalent of a modern 50 year old, I don't think he was That much more developed at 13 than a tallman. I think if half-foot 14 is equal to tallman 16, then Chilchuck was Pretty Damn Young for a parent LMAO. Even if you're generous and say tallman 16 is a modern 18, he still would've been younger than that.
The long-lived races are interesting. Marcille is obviously a unique case, and not a lot of this applies to her. We do know what Senshi was like as a minor (miner, lol), and he seemed like a modern 15ish, considering he was 36 and dwarf maturity is 40. I think it'd be really interesting to delve into how a culture functions with people being developmentally adolescent for soooooo long. Imagine middle school lasting 20 years. that would fucking suck. I suppose it makes sense why long-lived races are so patronizing.
Moving onto lifespans, I want to emphasize that they're average lifespans. Even in the manga, they say some half-foots live to 100, it's just rare. So it's less that a tallman 60 year old is "older" than a modern 60 year old, it's that it's easier to keep people alive for longer nowadays. Modern medicine is a BIG contributor. Dental health as well, considering how much your health is affected by your diet (and how much the action of chewing alone aids in digestion). Curious to know what the FUCK elven dentistry is like.
It also makes me wonder if half-foots would have a longer average lifespan if they weren't like, used for bait and treated so poorly, but half-foot 29 does seem to be middle-aged for half-foots. so who knows!
In that vein, I don't know if I can see Mithrun quite making it to 400 😬 like, his experience as a dungeon lord took a lot out of him quite literally, and he's doing exceptionally well despite it! I imagine he'd eventually start to develop a lot of heart problems if he doesn't have them already. Perhaps early-onset dementia. His memory seems still quite intact (he corrects Kabru on his story's accuracy) and he doesn't act like, lobotomized. He doesn't seem forgetful or confused, and he has a sense of humor/sarcasm still. It's mostly his task initiation that's been affected.
I almost want to say that mana affinity could affect long-lived races' lifespans, except dwarves have very poor tolerance for mana, so it's probably not that.
okay anyway I didn't really have a point to this post so I'm just gonna end my rambling here

“Palestinian Prisoners’ Club:
With the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, more than 9,100 Palestinian prisoners in occupation prisons face a policy of starvation and deprivation from practicing religious rituals.
The Prisoners’ Club added in a statement that the starvation policy worsened in an unprecedented way after October 7th, as a result of a number of measures it imposed, including closing the so-called prisoners' cantina, confiscating the prisoners' remaining food supplies, and reducing meals; the food provided to them was poor in quantity and quality, which affected their fate, especially the sick, and contributed to the worsening of their health conditions. The throwing of thousands of detainees after October 7th into cells without providing food also contributed to the worsening of the starvation policy.
The starvation policy constituted the most dangerous policy imposed by the occupation after October 7th, in addition to torture and abuse, which affected all male and female prisoners, as well as detained children, and caused them health problems, specifically in the digestive system, in addition to the weight loss that all prisoners suffer from today.
The Prisoners’ Club continued that the issue of food appeared in the prisoners' testimonies as a prominent and fundamental issue over the past period. In addition to the poor quantity and quality of food provided by the prison administration, it deliberately brings food that is not cooked well, and in some detention centers and camps, specifically affiliated with the army administration, such as ‘Etzion,’ some expired canned food was provided to detainees.
Depriving prisoners of the practice of religious rituals.
In addition to the starvation policy, the prison administration deprived prisoners of the call to prayer, and of congregational prayer, even inside the cells. Prisoners were subjected to attacks many times after trying to perform prayer, or even read the Qur’an in a clear voice. Also, in many prisons, most notably the Naqab, the Qur’an was confiscated from prisoner’s in the first period after the aggression [on Gaza], the prisoners also face difficulty in performing ablution due to the reduction of water provided to them.
In light of the unprecedented state of collective isolation imposed on prisoners, stripping them of any means of communication with the outside world, including radios and the limited television stations that were available to them before October 7th, thousands of them have difficulty even knowing prayer times inside the cells.
How did poor food lead to the martyrdom of the detainee Mohammed Ahmed Al-Sabbar?
Martyr and administrative detainee Mohammed Ahmed Al-Sabbar’s case, was one of the most prominent cases linked to the policy of starvation and the poor quality of food provided to him. Since before his arrest, Mohammed had suffered from intestinal problems and needed special food in addition to health check-ups, and the entirety of his food being legumes caused major bloating in his intestines, which led to a worsening of his health condition and his martyrdom on February 8th, and to this day the occupation continues to detain his body.
The occupation practices humiliation and starvation against detainees.
It’s worth mentioning, in light of the occupation’s continued implementation of the crime of enforced kidnappings of Gaza detainees, there is not sufficient information available about the food provided to them as part of the conditions of their detention, but in light of the testimonies that came out of those who were released, they confirmed that they suffered from the policy of starvation, deliberately humiliating them to get food.
We also point out that among what was reported by prisoners released from prisons, is that the prison administration asks Gaza detainees to ‘bark’ when bringing meals.
The number of prisoners in the occupation prisons is more than 9,100, including 3,558 administrative detainees, about 200 children, and 61 female prisoners.”

My dear lgbt+ kids,
An underrated health and wellbeing tool is play.
When you think about playing, you may immediately picture little children - but by definition, play describes “any activity engaged in purely for enjoyment and recreation with no definite practical purpose” and those activities stay important throughout your whole life.
Why are those activities important?
Play is good for your body. Intentionally doing something just for fun helps to activate the “rest and digest” mode that is necessary to recover and heal from stress. It signals that you’re safe and helps your body relieve tension.
It’s also good for your brain. It can stimulate your imagination, visualization and critical thinking skills, which can help you build skills like resilience and adaptability.
Play can also foster empathy and understanding of others as it can help you see things from another’s perspective.
Playing can make you laugh, and laughter comes with a whole sleeve of health benefits, such as decreasing blood pressure and even improving your immune system!
Playing together can strengthen relationships. Positive, fun social interactions are important for your emotional wellbeing.
Now some of you may think “that’s all nice, but how do I even play as an adult?”. While play is a natural behavior of human beings, many adults need to re-learn how to play - it depends on your specific environment and social circles but you may feel a lot of pressure to be productive all the time and play is by its very nature not productive. So, the first step in re-learning play is to give yourself permission to just *be* instead of *do* (and that can be a huge step!).
Some ideas on how to ease back into play:
Think about your childhood. (Or if you can, ask a parent, sibling or childhood friend, that can be a great way to bring back memories!) What were your favorite ways to play back then? What did you love about your favorite game? Does any particular memory immediately give you that “I wish I could do that again” feeling? (You may not necessarily find anything that you want to just replicate as an adult as-is, this is just meant to kick-start your imagination!)
Gameify everyday tasks. Try to spot as many yellow items as possible on your commute to work. Make up a silly song about laundry while putting away the laundry. Pretend to be on a cooking show while making dinner. Do what you always do, just allow yourself to be silly about it!
Do something creative, even (and especially) if you’re not good at it. You may not think of drawing, writing etc. as playing but those are activities you can do for pure entertainment!
Moving your body doesn’t need to be purposeful exercise (and certainly not hating yourself in the gym), it can also be playtime: Do a silly little dance to your favorite song! Tippytoe, crawl, jump, walk backward.. from your bedroom to the kitchen, just for the fun of it!
Rethink toys. While it is fully okay for a grownup to buy, own and play with toys, and we should abolish the negative stereotypes about it (it’s creepy, it’s inherently a sign of poor mental health etc.) these stereotypes do exist and you may simply not feel comfortable. Luckily, there are a few toys that are generally considered socially acceptable for adults or are even marketed towards adults, such as board games, stress balls, adult coloring books, certain Lego sets or fan/collectors toys (like action figures). And when there are no judgy eyes watching, you may also have fun just playing with household items such as cardboard rolls! No need to go out and buy something!
Keep in mind that play isn’t a competition to win. You can’t play wrong - that’s the beauty of it! Just let your curiosity and enthusiasm guide you.
With all my love,
Your Tumblr Dad

Is unexplained stomach/digestive issues common for autistic people? Someone may have asked this before, but I just feel really alone, and no doctors or tests seem to explain what's going on.
Hi there,
Unfortunately, autistics are more prone to GI problems. I have issues with it too. I have to take Gas X to help. It really sucks. According to one article:
Yes, children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) tend to have more medical issues, including gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms such as abdominal pain, constipation and diarrhea, compared with their peers.
At the same time, many children with ASD eat only a few foods (selective eating), prefer highly processed foods, and eat fewer fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
I hope this helps answer your question. Thank you for the inbox. I hope you have a wonderful day/night. ♥️
