Dangerous Fellows Christmas Event

Fluff
🎄 I Apocalypse

“So… I go left, and then straight for 30 steps… before taking another left?” You ponder quietly to yourself.
Consumed in the childishly drawn map that Judy left you, you smile eagerly as you go along with her sporadic, yet fun, shenanigans. Making your way up along the stairs, you follow the path that seemingly leads to an eventual room marked with an ‘X’.
“I wonder what Judy’s planned this time… It is Christmas day after all! Maybe another spontaneous hair salon? A lost and found clothing boutique? AN ALL YOU CAN EAT SNACK BUFFET?!” Your (e/c) irises gleam with excitement, followed by a downcast frown as you realise the low chances of that happening.
“Nah, she’d be in way too much trouble for that… Especially since everyone worked so hard to gather food for tonight’s humble festivities…”
Many minutes go by as you continue to concentrate on your path. Face deep within the crumpled paper, you quickly turn a corner as instructed and suddenly smack right into the back of someone. Bouncing away from the unexpected impact, you fall backwards and brace yourself for the imminent pain. However, a strong hand swiftly grabs hold of your arm and pulls you back up, crashing you into his firm chest. Your heart begins to race as you recognise the distinctive brown and orange patches of your crush’s jacket.
“That was close... You okay, (Y/N)?” Lawrence’s voice, so low and gentle you could almost feel the vibrations of his words right beside your ear.
You wait a moment to regain composure, silently screaming at your reddened cheeks to cool down before nodding slowly — not yet able to make eye contact with the man you’d come to fall in love with. Still securely within his arms, you suddenly notice him stiffen a little before clearing his throat uncomfortably.
Curious, you peer up at his handsome features, only to notice his attention was occupied by something above you. Following his gaze, your face burns a deeper crimson. Your eyes are met with a fairly dried-up bunch of mistletoe wrapped neatly within a red ribbon, hanging from the ceiling… and directly above the two of you.
“W-Who put that there?!” Completely flustered, you look back at Lawrence as he rubs the back of his head awkwardly — a subtle touch of pink upon his cheeks.
Little snickers in the distance catch your attention. Looking over toward the end of the hallway, you both witness Judy and Zion peering out from the corner… giggling like lovesick schoolgirls.
Lawrence sighs heavily before muttering under his breath. “So that’s why he told me to wait here…”
“YOU GUYSSSS!” You whine loudly with annoyance.
Zion smirks mischievously before yelling out, “What?! You both have been giving each other looks non-stop for 2 goddamn weeks now!”
“It’s about time you moved things along already!” Judy chimes in.
B-both? As in... Lawrence too?! You think to yourself as your heart hammers violently against your chest.
Zion and Judy quickly glance at each other before nodding once in agreement, then turning their attention back toward you both.
“NOW KISS!” They shout simultaneously.
You and Lawrence stiffen uncomfortably as Zion and Judy’s beady eyes watch impatiently from afar.
Just as you and Lawrence look back at each other, a voice in the distance suddenly rings out within the halls — startling you all.
“WHO.MOVED.MY.MISTLETOE?!” Scarlett yells with rage as her voice echoes within the school building.
“Oh, shoot!” Judy quickly runs off, making an escape in record time.
“AND WHERE’D ZION GO?!” Scarlett’s voice resonates — getting louder by the minute.
“Tch! Not again!” Zion rubs his temples in annoyance. “… And right when it was getting interesting!” He grumbles before quickly racing down the halls after Judy.
You and Lawrence stay frozen in place, stunned and staring silently at their retreating forms.
“Aaaand, their off...” You trail off as you try to process the last couple of minutes.
Lawrence sighs with relief, “Guess we’re out of that mess.”
Only now had you both finally noticed that you were still wrapped safely within Lawrence’s arms… and still standing right under the mistletoe. Lawrence quickly lets go of you, and you step back awkwardly — hesitant and unsure of whether or not you should take this chance to finally make a move.
“Ahh, I’m sorry. You probably feel really uncomfortable after all that.” He smiles gently as he places a warm hand on your head, patting it lightly before turning away. “I’ll head off first.”
Right as he began walking, your heart pumps with adrenaline and without thinking… you call out to him.
“W-Wait!”
Stopping him in his tracks, he looks back at you. Head cocked to the side in curiosity.
Eyes full of determination, you take a deep breath. “A-About the mistletoe… I… I don’t mind… I-If it’s you…” You manage to stutter. However, the fear of rejection lingers in the back of your mind and you quickly blurt out an excuse to save face. “P-Plus, isn’t it bad luck if we don’t?”
Lawrence’s gorgeous honeyed irises widen with surprise for just a moment, before transitioning into a warm, earnest grin. He makes his way back toward you and stands right beneath the mistletoe. Grabbing a hold of your hand, he pulls you within his arms once more and lovingly caresses your cheek.
“Well then… we wouldn’t want that now, would we?” He chuckles lightly before leaning down and placing his lips on yours. The kiss was sweet yet passionate, and it was everything you could’ve ever dreamed of.
“Bad luck or not. I would’ve gladly kissed you, regardless.” He whispers against your lips.
Knowing that he felt the same way as you did toward him, you flush bright red in response; he laughs softly — finding your reaction utterly adorable.
“Merry Christmas, (Y/N).”
“Merry Christmas, Lawrence.” You giggle as you excitedly wrap your arms around his neck, kissing him once more.
Forehead against forehead, you both catch your breath — taking in the serene moment. Lawrence then lightly pecks your lips one more time before placing another upon the back of your hand.
“Shall we head off?”
Smiling from ear to ear, you nod as your fingers intertwine with his before taking off down the halls.
Looking back at the abandoned mistletoe, you silently thank Judy and Zion for meddling in with your love lives — eagerly awaiting their reactions for when you arrive for tonight’s festivities, hand-in-hand with Lawrence.

Hi! Thanks for being open for requests! ^^ Could I ask about what each boy misses most about “ordinary life” before the whole apocalypse thing? Maybe a favorite restaurant or hobby, something like that! If you’d like, feel free to include Judy too (she’s adorable)!!!
Hey Anon! Thank you so much for requesting, it's very much appreciated.
Harry:
He misses the freedom. He misses being able to call his friends and going to go catch a movie or hanging out at the park.
Ethan:
Baseball. He misses the thrill of a game and the satisfaction of winning. He misses hanging with his buddies at games.
Zion:
He misses his family. The boy may not show it, but he was a Mama's boy. He cooked with his family, and he misses daily outings with them.
Eugene:
There was this little cafe that he used to go to all the time after classes. They let him play piano sometimes, and the place was like a second home to him.
Lawrence:
He misses painting. He used to do it all the time, and it brought him immense joy. Whenever he sees something hopeful, he stores it away in his memory to paint when this is all over.
Judy:
She misses her pets and friends. They were both always there for her. Meeting you helped her feel better, but part of her still wishes she had her fuzzy friends too.
