Having a small party and got my house mad clean and organized and it feels SO nice. Why am I not always like this? What a dream
#amazed there are ppl out there who are just like this by default#still need to decluttering my bedroom and linen closet#and then tackle the basement which isn’t too bad but other than that#my house is pretty much decluttered and good#so now I can get a carpenter in here#and get projects done#only took me like a year to get my act together lol

I finally played Animal Crossing again for the first time in several months! So one of the first things I did was visit Brewster.
#I might put some other island pictures up later idk#I had to clean my island up (the weeds) and rearrange things#I sold off a lot of my excess items too in game#I was only trying to keep clothes I actually liked#also doing some cleaning irl and decluttering my room- doing the same thing really#animal crossing#nintendo switch#mychatter#the islanders are so cute!#I'm not really into video games but there are some that I really like#Also been using my old Just Dance games to exercise along with Wii fit when the weather is too bad to go out (like today)#I'm trying to get into better shape#this is a weird waiting period again b/c of the medication trials#I'm still working on my writing project and considering when I'll be back in school because it already feels weird to be out this long#animal crossing brewster

today was once again weird! Stayed up till 6am then slept till noon, I actually feel like my days feel so much better like that but I’ll have to stop soon…
depop order came! it’s very cute, I think I’ll honestly only be able to wear it with overalls but since I wear overalls very frequently I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing!
decided to declutter this from my project pan! I will be replacing it with an essence lip gloss whose shade has rubbed off. this lip gloss was unfortunately just a bit expired which makes sense as it was 5 years old and was actually my sisters first. it smelt not terrible but just vaguely off and I have so many other lip products that aren’t expired that deserve the love more than a 5 year old expired drugstore lip gloss that costs $5-8! honestly though if I didn’t have a million lip products, I would rebuy because the formula is actually pretty nice 🤷
my mother got me this Mcobeauty fenty dupe in hot berry, it smells like cherry but I won’t be swatching it (to avoid bacteria contamination) until I finish my current plumping gloss and the one in line after that! so probably like another 4 months because I’ll be wearing gloss more when I transfer schools and stop being at home all day……
finally I read a bit of Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone in German, which isn’t my native language but I’m still learning and that was definitely hard for my brain! very worth it though

The Happiness Project: April- Spring Cleaning
Super cliche. Bite me. This is my happiness project, and April screams spring cleaning.
Goals this month must have something to do with cleaning up. Could be in the literal sense, or figurative.
So here we go:
Complete the banishing ritual. Banish that negative energy from my house and from my person. Energy clean, if you will.
Clean out my classroom and start packing it up. If you're not a teacher, you don't understand just how little time we have to clean and pack a whole room. Last year, I was on maternity leave at the end of the year and didn't get to pack up my room. My sub did and my students helped.... What I came back to was enough to give me anxiety. SO this year. I pack it. So I know where everything is next fall.
Swap out the wardrobe... if the weather cooperates. If we continue to get snow in April, this might not work. But ideally, I should be able to switch out some pieces by the end of the month. At the very least, start bagging what never got worn this winter.
Buy the Home Edit book and USE IT. My house needs decluttered and organized. Nuff said.
Finally... as me and my Bluey loving daughter like to say, we need a chuck out. Kids toys have overtaken our lives and we need to pare down. So a good ole' fashion chuck out it is.

I finally got back to the house
I went through the massive pile of books on top of my dresser. I had two trash bags of hardcovers to throw out (can't recycle hard covers), two bins of paperback that went to recycling, and one box that went to donation to the library.
A lot of the books I got rid of were either damaged or outdated. Everything that was good quality went to the library.
My partner and I also tore out the carpet my roommate's dog pissed on out of the first spare room that we want to use as our bedroom. I want to hire someone to install the new carpet so it gets done before we move in but he's very insistent on doing it himself. His only day off is Tuesday and I'm on night shifts this week & working on his day off. Next week we move in. When are we going to get this carpet done??
