May I just rant, that yes, I'm well aware that all my kins are PoS, fully aware. All of them are evil, and I don't condone their actions in the slightest- but I wish I could go into any of my sources fandoms and not be bombarded with pictures of my kin(s) being beaten and/or killed (and sometimes while my S/O watches in horror) while the comments are filled with people saying this should happen or they want torture me too. I love my kintypes to death but I wish there was a way to filter out all of that so I can scroll in peace and not have my day ruined

I miss being a popstar/host/whatever you call me, but I also don't. Let me explain.

Me and my brother are sibling idols, think splatoon idols. We host phights, host phestivals, make music, a jack of all trades duo i suppose. You almost never see us apart, we're inseparable, and that continues here, because valk is with one of our friends (Valk i know you're reading this reminder you're short/aff). It was great! We didn't got to worry bout anything!... Mmmmmostly... we had money, we had fans who adored us, but that's the thing. Some fans... ADORED us in a very...unique way...my memories are haunted with the fan fictions and the art/neg.

A lot of our fans seemed to treat us as if we weren't even real which was disrespectful, but the agents told me that that just comes with the fame. The social media websites of my source were almost constantly full of fans phighting over which one of us were better... which were cuter... "Dom is the better brother!" "No Valk is!" and not to mention the death threats between the fans over the opinions on which one between me and my brother were better.

It was so tiring and It's hardly better here. but hey, least i got Valk with me here. 👍 -🕯️🐑🗡️

Not to be rude, but I really don't understand double discourse, like at all. The way I see it, there's infinite universes with infinite possibilities out there, which means there's infinite versions of literally everyone. Thinking that somehow doesn't include your kintypes seems... I wish I had a softer word than "selfish" to describe it, since I really don't want to be rude, but it's the only word I can come up with.

I've seen people literally sling death threats to their close friends over doubles, like holy shit!!! Y'all really think that's acceptable just because someone's a different version of you??? Are people not allowed to have things in common anymore??? Have these people considered, I don't know, leaving the kin community if seeing someone like them causes them so much distress that it leads them to threaten murder? Or maybe, perhaps, going outside? Touching grass? Finding a way to cope with your homocidal urges??? HELLO?????

Anyways, not to sound all holier-than-thou, but I for one actually really like doubles. Like, ah yes, another member of my army. Join us in our conquest of the world. Kin together strong.

Even if you're not comfortable with them, at the very least be normal about it, holy shit. I can't believe that parts of the fictionkin community are literally encouraging violence against doubles. (oddly specific childhood) Trauma culture is being so used to being in bad situations that you have no idea what to do when things aren't bad. Like I'm just so used to receiving passive or even active death threats that to me it's bizarre that that isn't just a thing that happens.

Most people never experience that, and I struggle being around those people because to me it's absolutely normal. What do you mean no one has ever tried killing you? What do you mean there isn't an average age when someone gets their first near-death experience?

not to rain on anyone's parade here but it's kind of upsetting seeing how many merc fans are angry about georges pole, like yes ofc lewis' bad luck is horrible and he could've easily gotten it but come on guys, this is george's first ever pole! and it wasn't his fault at all that lewis had issues. like I'm a lewis fan first always but i can be happy about george too, clearly merc is back on the pace and i'm sure a lewis pole is incoming if we know the man at all

i like them both and i do not care which one of them gets pole, but george deserves it as much as lewis does, he has worked his ass off for this team when it easily could‘ve been smooth sailing from the start if the car had been there

🌴 Everyone in existence has said and done things that others would take issue with. Everyone in existence has made genuine mistakes. So. Fucking. What.

Why must we always zoom in and highlight these mistakes, especially when the person is contributing so much to the world positively, or even neutrally, and actually trying to do their best? Roleplayers and fic writers have been making content for decades, and in such a complicated and fast-moving world where things like definitions are changing every other month, its impossible not to say things that, even in good faith, can be construed as problematic by someone, somewhere. It is batshit to expect perfection from people all the time. It is batshit to expect people to always be super up to date on everything. You know how people often learn? By making mistakes! And being nice about it goes a lot longer of a way than trying to cancel them! A lot of people are malicious and do things to piss people off and be problematic, but Im sick and tired of watching my good hearted mutuals leave, turn off anon, become bitter and hostile because they were pushed one too many times for such tiny, tiny, TINY things a simple 'hey just so you know, this isnt usually said any more!' would suffice for. Stop assuming every single person who puts their foot in their mouth is your enemy and deserves to either be driven off, canceled, or killed. Internet culture is so vile now.

Whumptober 2022 Day 03: Hair’s Breadth From Death

Mithos doesn’t take it well if you’re not monogamous with a dead woman.

Peak Fucked-Up™ scenario I’ve been mulling over in my head for ages. Kept asking myself “how would Mithos react to finding out Yuan and Botta are A Thing” and the only answer I could come up with was “flying off the handle in the most dangerous way”.

Even if we were dealing with a happy, domestic, enthusiastic poly scenario - which this here isn’t, it’s more of a “Cruxis runs the mafia and also the cops”!ModernAU thing, I guess? - with Yuan, Botta and Martel all sharing a place and they’re all well-adjusted and shit (Yuan x Botta and Yuan x Martel only, though, because while Botta values Martel deeply in a platonic way he is also very very gay *lol*), we’re still talking about the guy who stood before a tabula rasa of culture and religion, who could remake the world order to his desire after splitting the worlds and overtaking as their ~divine~ ruler, aaand... he invented the Catholic Church. So.

(In my funny moments I picture him tearing at his hair and screaming “Sister!! It’s Adam and EVE!!! D:” And Martel being like, “Mithos, I love you dearly, but my relationships are my business and my business only. I know you can accept my choices. ;D” Because she’s always investing wayyy too much energy into managing her brother’s emotions for him, but that’s a story for another day. Er.)

So. Yeah. Horrible suffering and lots of violence and death threats it is.

Honestly, even I can’t come up with anything useful Yuan could say. I guess “I will do ANYTHING to keep him safe and you can’t pressure me with a dead man, right” would be worth a shot, but then Mithos could just say “I can already *make* you do anything anyway, the fuck are you tripping on”.

Either way, I think this marks instance five? Or something. I’m using the “Mithos strangles or threatens to strangle Yuan” motif and I’m seeing a pattern. The pattern is that I love that scenario and I’m evil. :D
