A CREATION FOR EVERY MONTH OF 2022
rules: post your favorite or most popular post from each month this year (it’s okay to skip months!)
I was tagged by the lovely Zahraa @willsilvertongue, thank you, dear - actually very similar to you, I realised that I had giffed more and more diverse things on this blog than I remembered doing. I did skip out the summer months due to a small thing called TUA S3, which kept the sideblog very busy, so I've added some more to the months where I actually giffed to publish on here
February: Martin Schelling vs the Mortifying Ordeal of Being Known (I'm still so pleased with how pretty these came out, even if they are for a fandom with very few people in it, for a piece of media I hold very dear to my heart)
March: an inexplicably popular Lego Batman Movie gifset (I have no idea why this has over 1k notes. Lego Batman and Joker seem to be that good, apparently?)
April: my best boy James Maguire embracing traditionally feminine things <33 (I love him. My boy.)
May: Billy Batson's biological vs his first found family member (I think this one is the one I'm proudest of, the comparison just works and found family always gets to me - I giffed Shazam all throughout April and haven't since, I should get back to it)
October: Brian Rosenthal & Joe Walker at Starkid Homecoming (nobody but me cares about that, but since I know where and when I started giffing, the fact that these two wormed their way back into my giffing...some things apparently don't change) / Britney Coleman at Starkid Homecoming (she was so much fun to gif, honestly, smiling all the way through making this)
November: Mako & Raleigh <3333 (it makes me happy that people are still not normal about them in the tags) / A VHS Christmas Carol (These gifs turned out so pretty, and also everyone should still watch this show.)
December: John Kearns & Munya Chawawa on Taskmaster (that one was probably the one with the most work put into it, but I'm glad it exists) / Across the Spiderverse + Artworks (this one just makes me happy that I caught the references and could translate them into a gifset)

alright i finished st4.
it was. fine.
i didn’t hate it, i didn’t love it. i still enjoyed the experience of watching it overall.
i LOVED the way they explored Max’s character and her grief this season. i was genuinely surprised at how well they handled that. it had a few great action sequences. like the one between Max and Vecna in Dear Billy. and i really really enjoyed that final fight sequence. i liked that we got to see some demogorgons and demodogs again. the demobats were a fun addition to the Upside Down wildlife. i liked Eddie, he was a fun character and i really liked his relationship with Dustin. i liked just seeing more of the Upside Down in general.
i have like a bajillion questions and i think the duffers are still really subpar world-builders, which is frustrating but it’s nothing new.
i wanted to find some gifsets to reblog but going into the tags is just like...bad take after bad take and it’s giving me a headache. so.
that’s it for now i guess.

hi dear! I can do the second one, no problem, but I'm a little confused about the first one because it's a mix of scenes (the one in his room, the phone call, the bar scene, the pre-show scene) and that's a lot to gif, specially just for billy. It's that what you wanted? A gifset mixing them?

@bennskywalker / @striveforgreatnessss for making beautiful gifs from SO MANY fandoms, it would honestly be hard to pick a favorite. She makes things that are beautiful and colorful and aesthetic all the time, but my favorite is actually something that I love for content more than aesthetics lol. This salty anti-GoT gifset absolutely ROASTING season 8 added years to my life.
Favorite fandom artists:
@xla-hainex for SO many different reasons. Her art is absolutely beautiful and I’m obsessed. I was lucky enough to commission her a long time ago for a Jonerys piece and it’s still very special to me today. She has created beautiful artwork for so many of my fandoms including Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and the Grishaverse. My favorite piece is probably this Kanej art. It’s just so beautiful and evocative and I get choked up every time I look at it. Amazing.
@lilithsaur for consistently blessing us with Darklina and Darkling art! So grateful to share a fandom with this talented artist. My favorite piece is this spicy Darklina one. I can’t tell you how long I’ve stared at it lmao it’s just so hot.
@kwonbomi whose Jonerys art is such a huge part of the fandom. When I was still active in that community she was so supportive of other creators and so kind about my fanfics. I commissioned a piece from her during an event where she kindly donated her time for commissions, but gave the proceeds to a charity. Since it was my own personal request for one of my stories, it will always be my favorite.
Favorite fanfic writers:
@muttpeeta for writing the hottest and best fanfic I’ve ever read. I’m so glad she starting writing for Jonerys because if it weren’t for that we wouldn’t have met, and she’s now a dear friend of mine. Yes, that makes me biased, but her work is amazing and stands on its own merits regardless. The first thing I ever read from her will always be my favorite: The Bittersweet Between My Teeth.
@thefairfleming for her story On the Knees of My Heart. This was the first piece of fanfic I ever read in the GoT fandom and probably a huge part of the reason why I stuck around to read more and write some myself. She’s a beautiful writer and an amazing person in general.
@khirsahle for writing All I Ask of You, which is my favorite piece of fanfiction of all time. When I don’t have time to do another playthrough of Dragon Age, I go back to this story. In fact, I go back to this story all the time for no reason other than the fact that I love it haha. It’s just beautiful and sweeping and romantic and fanciful. It’s really sexy, too :D
