TFW + TV

All this "Sam + class" shit is why Dean, Cas, and Jack sometimes forgo watching TV with him. That's the most important part of my Ted Talk, actually.

Dean watches the Kardashians! (And Cas does, too. A man can't survive on caviar alone. Cas watched Jenny Jones. He's a trash TV junkie!):

CASTIEL: I can hear three. Wait, maybe -- maybe four. They're talking about whether Kylie Jenner would make a good mother. The consensus is no. DEAN: Yeah, well, that's why I'm a Khloe man.

Sam thinks Dean isn't cool enough to watch The Walking Dead. (Nightmare Logic ep) Cas has seen it, though, (per the Tombstone script) so that means Dean has probably seen it. Point is, Sam doesn't think it'd be up Dean's alley.

SAM: Uh, Maggie was working a lead. Kids online said they were studying when -- and I quote -- "a walker tried to end them." It's a zombie -- a "Walking Dead" thing. DEAN (patiently, slightly annoyed): I know what a walker is, Sam.

Cas watches trash TV and Riverdale, but he doesn't want Sam's judgy shit about it (Peace of Mind script):

CAS: It's like we stepped into an episode of [Riverdale]. SAM (judgy): You watch-- CAS (defensive): Jack does. I would never-- I mean, it's not so bad. Sometimes, a baby floats.

Jack's seen Lost Boys "like 36 times." Ergo, Jack's movie nights are primarily about spending time with Dean. Jack is a delightful captive audience, and he's not judgy about it. (Even Cas is a little judgy about the cowboy ones, lol.)

MAX: Do you ever, like, hang out? JACK: Well, we have movie nights on Tuesdays. Dean usually picks. I've seen "Lost Boys" like 36 times.

One good dance move

When Dean gooses him around the waist twice more, an uncharacteristic gleam comes into Cas’s eye, and he strides forward with a fiery purpose that sends Dean’s scurrying around to the other side of the metal table. They’re heaving and exhilarated in a way Sam’s never seen from them before. When Cas keeps coming, Dean yelps for Mary to help and bolts. Cas chases Dean back around the table, and Dean makes to double-back to the oven. Unfortunately for him, he gets blocked by a devilish, camel-walking Mary. This startles a bark of laughter out of Bobby. (“Some help you are, Mary. Traitor.”) Cas is definitely gonna catch him now.

Synopsis: Post-Apocalypse World rescue, on a rare quiet evening, Jack and Dean try out some moves from Dirty Dancing and Grease.

supernatural movie reboot but its a ghostfacers mockumentary about their attempt to make a “serious film” about sam and dean winchester. opens on ed and harry going “CUT!” and the camera pans to a guy that looks kind of like jared padalecki pulling off a party city wig. turns out the finale was actually part of the ghostfacer’s retelling of supernatural. Sam Dean and Castiel spend the entire movie chasing after ed and harry trying to stop the thing being made. (its a huge commercial success and they screen it at the destiel wedding)

having serious tbosas brainrot so here's a list of things that were in the books that i wish the movie showed: (spoilers below)

how far tigris was willing to go to protect coriolanus. in the books it implied she was willing to sell her body to keep him fed (also i cant even begin to imagine her reaction to seeing Snow selling desirable victors to captiol citizens when she herself as a child wanted to resort to prostitution to put food on the table FOR HIM.)

how insane dr gaul was in the books. iirc she didnt warn clemensia about the snakes and lied that they were harmless

clemensia being gone for weeks and her parents not questioning it bc gaul said it was a flu + clemensia COMING BACK all covered in scars/scales and no one questioning what happened to her (seriously the grip gaul had within the capital was INSANE)

how awful highbottom and gaul were in the books. i absolutely loathed them when i read tbosas whereas they weren't as bad in the movies (though that might be bc i love viola davis and peter dinklage)

how much coriolanus' mother meant to him (they talked about it a bit in the movie but i wish they showed him smelling her compact when he was upset/stressed)

the extent of how coriolanus manipulated both his classmates AND sejanus' parents

also how sejanus' ma always made sure coriolanus was fed when he went over to the plinth's home and how she sent them sweets and pastries when they were sent to 12

sejanus asking coriolanus to switch tributes with him because he thought coriolanus would be able to get through to marcus/better his odds

coriolanus suggesting they use the mockingjays as target practice

in the books sejanus always calls coriolanus by his given name "coriolanus" and he only calls him coryo after his stint in the arena (to which coryo wanted to strangle him for trying the family nickname at that moment)

He's halfway aroused just thinking about it, which is why he's caught completely off-guard when Magua brutally carves up the brother—Uncas, his mind supplies—before throwing him over the side of the mountain. Fuckfuckfuck. That wasn’t supposed to happen. Then, it gets worse. The younger chick—little sister? Alice. She gets this look on her face, and the music swells. And wait—don’t—he thinks. Please no. But Alice has that look on her face.
