Another project, a dozen drawings based on 3 rules you set for yourself!! mine were flower heads, shows the sky somewhere, and they're all different times of day

#sana school stuff #original art #flower girls was something i've been wanting to do for years and i thought this project was a good opportunity to do so but yknow. the thin #where when you do something for school it's less fun #yeah #especially with time constraints #honestly i thought about making enseason my dozen but 12 of those in such a short timespan mightve actually killed me #i did 11/12 of these backgrounds within a 12 hour timespan (breaks included)#each of them took 30 min-1 hour #the actual people tho. took anywhere from 1. to multiple hours #the flowers were chosen based on the month they bloom in #'cause all of them also correspond with a month #fun fact did you know daffodils can kill other flowers (namely roses and tulips) they're in a vase with if not treated properly first #no one pointed out the morbidity of a flower person walking in a flower field.#also. if you care #i don't know if i can get the april edition out on time #i'll try but i've taken 2 days rest to recover from the fact i cranked all these out within like 3 weeks total (lineart got my ass)#sana will be back shortly i miss posting here #i miss you guys!!!#guh

As to not piss off his supervisor entirely, Reno opted for a small prank — all the keys on Tseng's keyboard were glued down, rendering the device ineffective and ultimately broken, and all the regular light bulbs in the office were switched to the 'black-light' variety. Reno may or may not have also sprayed and splattered invisible ink in areas of the office to give the appearance of a certain substance.

If there ever was a more dangerous day to be a Turk, Fools Day was it. Usually, on a day to day basis, there was an unspoken rule within the offices - no friendly fire would be permitted within the walls of the Investigative Sector of the General Affairs Department. On Fools Day, however, this rule was null and void - and so it was on the one day a year where a Turk wouldn't be punished for insubordination that Tseng, as Director, would inevitably have to dodge the most bullets, so to speak.

As it were, Tseng had already neatly side-stepped a bucket of water balancing precariously on the hinge of the entrance to the offices, disarmed the stink-bomb tied beneath his seat, and removed the whoopee cushion attached to it.

The suspicious white stains caused by the ominous glow of the newly-installed black lights overhead were, at the very least, not something that would deter any work from being done. The stuck keys on his keyboard, however ...

Tseng looked up from his attempts at logging in to his console - Elena was finishing up the final stages of her training, shadowing a mission in the sector 6 slums, Rude was present, at least - a possible suspect, but this didn't exactly scream his style.

Tseng's eyes fell to Reno. Relaxed posture, quiet focus on the terminal in front of him .. and there was the outlier. Quiet.

Rather than push the subject, Tseng instead began to start on the physical reports requiring his attention, signing and marking those that might need to be investigated further, those missions that could be retired ...

"Reno." Tseng doesn't look up from Rude's last mission report, pen quietly gliding across the paper. "Since my terminal is out of commission, I'll need you to handle the general affairs review for this afternoon. Heidegger will be expecting you at 3pm sharp."

Killjoys week 9th-15th August 2023

So I tried to come up with some interesting themes for each day that aren't too straightforward and leave a lot of room for creativity but still tie to the premise of killjoys (or at least in my mind they do)

Some of them are simple some are more specific but ofc feel very free to adjust them to your liking, leave out a part, interpret it differently etc

And of course every art form is welcome in this event! I usually call it an art week but that of course includes not only drawings but writing and poems and photos and whatever you wish as well since all that and more are art forms too!

Day 1 - Memories

Day 3 - All-seeing eyes

Day 4 - Waste

Day 5 - Hopeful lies

Day 6 - Wires

Day 7 - Endless

I will hopefully make a prettier picture for it later but since the date is getting closer and I am busier and busier I want to let it out into the world at least like this :)

sometimes i vaguepost about my job on here, but what you really need to know is two things:

i said that my basic role in the lab was a less extreme version of rich purnell from the martian movie and the lab manager agreed

if you look at it a certain way, i am the college profressor who writes fanfiction

is it dumb to mess with the timeline for one of the stupidest reasons ever

#so i'm thinking that i'm gonna place the original peter pan show that cornley did #in 2014 rather than 2013 #ik ppgw premiered in 2013 (which is the methodology i was using for haversham manor)#BUT. in the programme.#it says that during the 7-9th of may #(presumably the next year since peter pan is in december)#robert is doing all three of his adaptations of wind in the willows #and it specifies what day these are on #thursday friday and saturday #i looked it up and. 2015 is the year where these dates correspond with the days of the week.#so i want to put peter pan in 2014. just for the accuracy.#is that dumb? possibly. but i feel like being pedantic.

Zelda in Shining Armor

Here we are again, finally! After a month. I seriously need to figure out a consistent schedule to work on this rather than all-consuming or nothing. But that being said, I have some big life decisions to make irl right now, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to get the next part out.

This part was pretty fun to do, if a few things that happened during the process were... infuriating (accidentally deleting progress on one of the files). But there were a couple of parts that made me excited for this story in this update, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

our huckleberries are starting to be ripe I think? but like? i haven’t had this variety before so i can’t be sure? lol

the first one we tried (over a week ago) was green on the inside and tasted like a vegetable instead of a fruit. the ones i had today were mostly dark purple on the inside and tasted like fruit, but not very sweet fruit. but maybe that’s just how they are? and we should just put ‘em in pies or jams, with lots of sugar?

also like three berries i’ve seen have bites out of them or are shriveled in a weird way. like. vaguely worried about the possibility of large numbers becoming overripe or otherwise losing the battle with the nonhuman environment if i don’t pick them at the right time. so i can’t wait TOO long. but google did say they get sweeter if you leave them on the plant even after they’re ripe. but how sweet?? what is the limit?? whew what an adventure

#went thru a process with ground cherries where i didn't realize they got riper if you kept them for a couple weeks after they fell off #i've eaten soooo many not-fully-ripe ground cherries #growing new plants is so experimental honestly even if it's stuff you eat regularly #like figuring out when to harvest corn? melons? okra? it's DIFFICULT #also i have like seven new huckleberry seedlings because i spat out the seeds from the unripe huckleberry last week LOL #it's literally been in the 100s every day and they're just babies and yet they're completely fine #they are SO good at growing #and thriving etc #maybe the corresponding downside is that they just don't taste that good?#we will see!!!!
