Concept based off Daylight by Maroon 5: David and reader r childhood friends nd high school sweethearts. As time goes by David gains fame nd the reader has to go to college. So David has to go to LA the next day nd the reader to campus, but they spend tht last night together reminiscing abt everything nd crying nd being emotional. “nd when the daylight comes ill have to go, but tonight im gonna hold you so close. Cause in the daylight we’ll be on our own. But tonight i need to hold you so close
David was laying in the sand, his feet buried so deep he hoped that they’d cement there and he could never leave. When YN approached, he turned his head to look at her. “Finally, you showed.”
“Of course I showed,” she said, plopping down next to him. She tried to sound cheerful, but really, she was sad. “You think I’d blow off our last date?”
“Last date?” David sounded offended. As if you truly thought he’d never take you on a date again. “You know I will always take you on dates.”
“Not when you’re in California and I’m in Boston,” she sheepishly remind him. David’s eye went dark as he looked over at the lake. They grew up on this lake. Boat parties with friends they barely knew. Bonfires for the Fourth of July. It was where David kissed her for the first time. A few miles down, where the pier meets the water.
She had only ever seen him as her friend David. Nothing more and certainly nothing less but David always knew there was more. From the time they were pre-teens, making tie dye t-shirts in the backyard, he knew she was the one.
“I’ll buy you tickets to come see me,” he offered. She didn’t know when he got famous. It seemed to happen overnight. One day, he was just David and the next he was David Dobrik and moving to LA and everyone wanted him. He wanted no one but her. “And then I’ll take you on a huge date. One so big and grand, you can’t help but fall back in love with me.”
“You think I’m gonna fall out of love with you?” She asked. Her knees were wrapped in her arms, pulling too tight against her chest like maybe she was going to float away with the waves. David grabbed one of her hands and kissed the back of her palm, almost as if he was saying yes. “I will never fall out of love with you.”
“Promise?”
“Promise.”
“Even when you’ve made a million friends, better friends, and no longer care for my nonsense jokes and idiotic behavior?” He was baiting her now. Waiting for her to say something wrong but she just shook her head. “Even when you forget my name?”
“I’d never forget you.”
His face would forever be etched in her mind. His laugh would forever be in her ear drums and his fingertips would forever be plastered to her skin. She could never forget him. She could never not love him.
He was the first boy she ever loved and she was certain he would be the last. Who else would know her favorite ice cream and leave a pint outside of her door for when she got home from work? Who else would know exactly what her facial expressions meant when she was reading a book? Who else would love her even when she was at her worst? It was 15 years in the making. Their love. And it had only lasted 15 months.
“You can come to school in California, you know,” he had suggested for the millionth time this month alone. It was too late. Yn had already turned in her payments and made her schedule. Frankly, she barely considered it. She and David decided a while ago that this was going to be your last good night. And in the morning, she’d leave for the airport and never look back. Maybe she’d visit him. Maybe she wouldn’t. Either way, they owed it to each other.
Instead of talking, they sat in the sand and watched the waves crash on the shore. They watched the sun set and the stars come out and when it got too chilly, David gave her his jacket. “Wanna get ice cream?” He asked as she shivered.
“Are you crazy?” She laughed but David nodded and stood up, letting the sand release him. He brought her to her favorite ice cream shop and got her her favorite flavor. Triple scoop. He tried to steal licks off her cone but she kept it away from him, laughing hysterically as he grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer to him. When she was finished, she pushed it into his nose.
“Not fair!” He exclaimed. “You wasted the ice cream!” Yn laughed and David let the ice cream fall into the trash as he pulled her into his chest and kissed her. The ice cream spread on her face but she didn’t care because she wanted to kiss her boyfriend. She wanted to kiss him until she couldn’t breathe.
They rented bikes and rode around town, weaving in and out of traffic and barely stopping at red lights. He picked her a flower out of someone’s garden and she smelled it, smiling behind their petals so he wouldn’t see. “Remember the first I got you flowers?”
She did remember. He couldn’t figure out what kind she wanted so he ended up getting her a bouquet of all of them. She had flowers all over the house. “After knowing you my whole life, I didn’t know what your favorite flowers were.”
“You know now,” she said. She didn’t care that he didn’t know her favorite flowers. That was the beauty of their relationship. They were never done learning about each other.
She didn’t want to cry. She told herself she would not cry tonight. She didn’t want her last memories to be of them crying and being sad but how could she not cry when he was looking at her that way and the sky had too many stars in them and the grass tickled the back of her legs.
“What are you thinking?” David asked. He was laying on his back, his hands folded on his stomach and he looked over at her. She was too busy counting the stars to know what she was thinking.
“That I never want these stars to turn into clouds.”
“I don’t think it works like that,” he tried to joke. She didn’t laugh. “I get what you mean.”
“Everything is perfect when the sun goes down. Everything is perfect now. We can pretend that I’m not going away and you’re not moving and that we’re gonna be together forever.” She spewed. That’s what she was thinking as she counted the stars. That he was her forever and she was leaving it behind.
“We are gonna be together forever. Just not right now,” he told her. Maybe that was true. Maybe she needed to go off on her own to find out who she really was and he needed to do his own thing and hopefully he was huge and successful, he wouldn’t forget about her. Maybe, they’d end up in the same city again.
“Can we just sit here until the sun comes up?” She asked. David nodded, wrapped his arms around her and that’s when she cried. She cried and cried and he smoothed down her hair and shushed her and she couldn’t tell but he was crying, too. But they did. They sat there until the sun came up.

There are a lot of influencers and creators across all social media platforms from TikTok to Twitch. There are a lot of influencers I like and follow and others that I dislike. Most of my liked influencers and creators are on TikTok, YouTube, and Twitch and I do look up to them; they have impacted my everyday life and even have gotten me through tough times. There are also influencers that I can’t stand because they are not credible and have fake content. They do most of it for the camera.
TikTok creator and videographer Jack Cook is one influencer I enjoy watching every day and look forward to when he posts a video. Jack does the same type of video every day, a daily one-minute vlog that he has not missed in over 705 days. Even though it’s the same concept every day it is so fun and entertaining to watch him do what he does and just his daily life and nothing is filtered. It could be a day full of filming and showing his equipment and process of filming or it could be just him editing a video all day, making food, and chilling at home. The reason he has impacted me is that he gave me that drive to get up every day and just find something to do instead of sitting in my bed all day.
Another creator that I find inspiring and enjoy watching is a creator across YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok is Lough. Lough is a gaming streamer and content creator who mostly streams Valorant but on TikTok and YouTube, he does a series that I love to influencers do which is A Day in The Life. He does one every year, he started doing them when he was 17 and it was just simple like gaming during the day and school. But he moved out when he was 18. He moved out at 18 and moved to Los Angeles to chase his dreams. I find it inspiring because he took the jump and just followed his dreams and heart, and he says that anybody can do it if they put their mind to it.
Another creator I look up to and follow is David Dobrik. David Dobrik is a YouTube vlogger who does crazy pranks and goes on adventures with his friends. I started watching David about 4-5 years ago. I was going through a tough time in my life, and I would just constantly watch David Dobrik his humor and the crazy things he did hooked me and since then I have considered him one of my favorite creators.
Kai Cenat is another very popular and famous influencer/creator and my favorite Twitch streamer. Kai is the most subscribed and popular Twitch streamer in the entire world. He gets over 60,000 viewers per stream and continues to grow in popularity. The reason I find him so entertaining is all the crazy streams he does. Just his reactions to everything are infectious and you can’t get enough of it. Kai recently had a month-long stream that did not end. He streamed for a full month without turning off his camera or computer. I watched him every day. That’s what I love about him how dedicated he is to his fans and platform.
Cristiano Ronaldo is another influencer I look up to tremendously because of one reason and one reason only. He is Portuguese, I’m kidding that is not the only reason. I am very inspired by his story and his upbringing to become the greatest soccer player in the world. He came from a very poor family and then went on to become the greatest and most wealthy soccer player in the world. He doesn’t just use his money for himself and donates a lot of money and time to kids in Portugal and the country itself. Most celebrities will buy things and flash them. But not Ronaldo, he inspires me to donate my time and money to the unfortunate.
“Can you smell what the rock is cooking?” Dwayne the Rock Johnson is another influencer that I look up to and follow with a passion. Being a wrestling fan, The Rock is known for being the best on the mic and one of the most ruthless and rude people in wrestling. But when he is not wrestling, he is one of the most inspirational people you will ever see. The Rock will post a motivational video every day on his Instagram story and that is the first thing I watch when I get up to start my day. It gets me pumped up and ready to start the day.
Now there are a lot of creators and influencers who I don’t like because they are corrupt and fake. One example is Logan Paul. Logan Paul is one of the most popular influencers and creators in the world. He recently signed a contract with the WWE. But in 2017 he was filming a vlog in a Japanese forest. There was a dead body hanging from a tree and decided to film it thinking it was okay to film someone who died in that forest and was their final resting place. Logan received a lot of heat from this and did take a break from vlogging and made an apology video. But him filming this angered me and showed that he would do anything for “views.”
Another influencer who is known for his fake content and idiotic actions is ImJayStation. He is known for trespassing on multiple properties, getting arrested, and known for making videos of him contacting the dead. He would make videos of him being haunted. His content was exposed for being fake and corrupting children and making him believe his content was real.
Shane Dawson is another influencer who is very corrupt and has done and said a lot of bad things. Even though it was in the past he still said and did those things. “He first faced criticism for using racial slurs and wearing blackface while impersonating celebrities like Chris Brown and Wendy Williams. Later, fans found sexual comments Dawson made on his podcast about young children and Willow Smith (who was 11 at the time), and the YouTuber was accused of being a pedophile. Dawson apologized for these and other comments (including another podcast incident where he talked about sexually assaulting his cat) and soon went on hiatus after YouTube demonetized his videos.” https://wegotthiscovered.com/youtube/the-top-most-controversial-youtubers-of-all-time/

Not Nice
In which Jeff and y/n have a heart to heart conversation about their relationship.
warnings: angst; just really sad, because that's what I do... BUT don’t worry, ya girl put some serious fluff in there, too!
a/n: Hello! God, it’s been a long time... How is everyone doing? I just felt like putting something out there again after not being able to write for so long. I don't know why; and I should actually be working on some term papers, but I found myself writing this so fast. I wrote this, because I felt like it, so it is not request related. I hope there are still some people whose feed this will end up on. I would love some feedback and as always: please enjoy! I hope you didn't forget about me :)
word count: 2.7k
It was a cool California night. Still not cold for February, but enough to send a shiver through your body when stepping outside. Y/n would normally not even consider going out right now, but the situation had called for it. David had called her minutes before, screaming at her through the phone to get her butt over to his house for a big problem that left him sleepless. She had fallen asleep on her desk trying to complete one of the assignments that were due by the end of the semester and basically fell off her chair when her phone rang annoyingly loud in her right ear. To say that she would rather be in her warm bed instead of her cold leather car seat was an understatement. But she knew that not helping David would leave her sleepless for days and seeing that it had already been 4 in the morning, she grabbed her keys and left. She was so tired that the lines on the road kept blurring in different directions. Just a couple more minutes, she thought to keep her focus on the road, but the exhaustion was unbearable at this point. A loud horn drew her back to reality when she accidentally served in the other lane. Shaking and flustered, she pulled over and rubbed her face with her hands aggressively. Pull yourself together Y/n. David needs your help. She looked up again, but the headlights of the few other cars made her eyes hurt, giving her an instant headache. That’s it. She was selfless, but not irresponsible. After searching for her phone in the passenger seat, she dialed Jeff’s number. Why she called him, she didn’t know. It was like an automatic movement to type in his number. The shrill beeping of the phone echoed through her head until Jeff’s sleepy voice broke it. “Are you Ok?“ He sounded confused and his voice reminded her of the time he had a terrible cold. Shit. “Oh my God. I’m sorry I didn’t think about the time. I-,“ but Jeff interrupted his friend with a chuckle. “It’s Ok. I was about to get up anyway.“ There was silence, and Y/n could hear him shuffling out of his bedsheets. “David called me and said he wanted me to help him with something.“ Y/n could almost hear the eye roll on the other line, and if she weren’t so tired, she would have probably laughed at it. “I’m guessing he called you, too?“ It sounded more like a question, but Jeff knew that he was right. “Yeah that’s actually why I called…“ She rested her head on the seat. “I’m on Linkin’ Road and I am too tired to drive… I was wondering… I- Could you maybe pick me up?“ She closed her eyes to focus on her friend’s voice. Jeff was grinning, she could hear it when he agreed to pick her up. Y/n’s heart beat faster at this. It was so insignificant and yet so attractive to her.
A couple minutes passed until Jeff’s car pulled up next to hers, sending vibrations through the floor and back to Y/n’s. She looked up and spotted a grinning man on the driver’s side rolling down the window to throw a holler at her. “Need a ride, beautiful?“ Y/n smiled, trying to hide the butterflies in her stomach. She got into his car taking in his woody scent and buckled up. Jeff threw a blanket over her legs and drove towards David’s house. The Drive was about 20 minutes and spend with Jeff humming to the calm tunes of the radio that sent Y/n straight to sleep. When they finally arrived, he tapped her shoulder lightly. “Y/n wake up. We’re here.“
They both walked into the house and went straight for the living room, where David was probably seated. It was so bright that Y/n had to rub her eyes. As soon as the brunette noticed his friends, he jumped up excitedly. “Now that everyone is finally here…“ It was just now that Y/n noticed that her whole friend group was scattered in the living room, snuggled up with fuzzy blankets or their significant other. Everyone was looking up to David, who was now standing on top of his couch table waving his remote control in the air. “It came to my attention that our dear friend Jeff has a problem.“ His grin grew wider with every word and if Y/n weren’t so exhausted, she would have probably noticed the mischief in David’s eyes. Jeff was looking around the room, trying to figure out if anybody could give him a hint on what was about to happen, and in his mind, a series of problematic things, he had recently done, were playing like a record. „What do you mean?“ He laughed nervously and scooted closer to Y/n. It always calmed him down to feel her next to him. David proceeded to pull his audience’s attention to the TV behind him. A blurry picture showed on the screen, displaying a woman in a tight blue dress and Jeff dancing in a rather inappropriate way. “Jeff, I think someone might have leaked something to the paparazzi.“ Before Y/n could process what was happening, the room filled with laughter. Y/n stood there as if she had turned to stone, too tired to show any form of emotion. She struggled to pull the corners of her mouth into a smile but she felt like throwing up then and there. Why did he not tell me about this? Why is this making me so sad? It was when Jeff’s hand had touched hers, that she was pulled back to reality. A wave of emotions came crushing over her, making her eyes water and her already pounding headache intensify. She was mad for so many reasons. Mad about David for pulling her away from a much-needed sleep by using her good conscience and selflessness to get her to his house for an immature prank that broke her heart. She was mad that she had not realized sooner how much of an impact Jeff actually had on her. And most of all, she was mad about the fact that something so stupid could even make her mad. It was all too much, and Y/n could not hold it any longer. Her thoughts had been weighing her down for too long now, making her feel like collapsing under their pressure. “Y/n are you okay?“ David managed to yell across the room. “What do you think of Jeff’s new girlfriend?“ Those words hit her like a truck. Girlfriend. The word made her shiver. Jeff did not have a girlfriend for the entire time they had known each other and Y/n never had to deal with the possible bother she would get from it. “I think they look great together!“ Someone said and this made Y/n burst. “You wanna know what I think about it?“ Everyone cheered, waiting for Y/n to drop a punch line. “I think that you’re an asshole, David. This is such bullshit!“ Low laughter were heard until David spoke again: “Don’t be such a drag, Y/n/n.“ Y/n tensed up again and Jeff tried to nudge her shoulder in an attempt to calm her down, but she shrugged him off harshly. “You don’t know what it is like to have responsibilities. I am late on two assignments and the average amount of sleep I get each night is about 2 hours. And you know what I ditched those two hours for today? Your fucking stupid prank. You think you can order everyone at any time just to end up on a 4:20 min vlog. You live in some fucked up carefree parallel universe. But guess what! Not everyone has this reality. Grow up, David! I can’t do this anymore. Being your friend is beyond exhausting and you don’t even care. God! You are the worst person I know!“ The room fell silent until a quiet “That was so uncalled for…“ could be heard. Y/n searched the crowd for the source of that statement in vain. “I’m just saying what every-“ But Jeff interrupted her, “Y/n! That’s enough!“ She shot him a dark glimpse and left the house with a shaking head.
Y/n trembled from head to toe when she burst through the door of David’s house and the brisk air hit her skin. She just started to walk with no direction in mind. Her view was blurry from the tears pooling up in her eyes, but she did not care. The exhaustion in her bones was making her body hurt. Y/n did not stop, though. She just walked in hopes of the pain in both her heart and body was going to fade after some time. It felt like hours until she finally stopped. Her feet had lead her to a familiar spot. A small clearing with a beautiful view over the city. She sat down and allowed herself to breathe for the first time in hours. What have I done?
It was still dark when Jeff's Car pulled up on the clearing. He sat in the driver’s seat for a while watching Y/n’s back shake and his heart felt squeezed. He always knew that he had a soft spot for her, but this felt different. Almost too much to process. He took a deep breath and walked up to Y/n, resting his hand on her shoulder once again. She looked up and smiled at him with this glimmering spark of sunshine in her eyes, but this time it wasn’t real. Not genuine enough for her. “I don’t get it. You seem like the happiest person in the world.“ Jeff sat down shaking his head while studying the floor beneath his feet. Y/n looked up. Anger flickered in her eyes as she realized what had slipped out of her friend’s mouth. “You wanna know why I’m always positive? You want to know why I’m always so ‚nice‘?“ Tears streamed down her face while she tried to hide the way her features cramped up in pain from the thoughts that flooded her brain like a tsunami. Y/n held her breath for a few seconds trying to collect herself before talking again. The attempt to cover up the ugly sobs that were about to slip her lips made her head feel like bursting. “I’m nice because I’m scared that if I speak my mind, people won’t like me anymore. I am positive because a lot of times I feel like that is the only thing that people could like about me.“ The words hit Jeff right in the heart. He caught her eyes for a second and shivered. He could see her breaking. Breaking to the point where it wouldn’t be a quick fix anymore that could be handled by a hug or kind words. No, the girl he saw in front of him, the very same girl that was sitting there, knees tucked to her chest, face hidden between it and her shoulders, was crumbling into a million pieces. Her body quivered as she attempted to hold her knees even tighter, trying everything to not fall apart any further. Jeff’s eyes started to water. It was a feeling he had never felt before. As if his heart was pulling on thin strains that were able to flood his entire brain with emotions yet so fragile. He hated seeing her like that. He hated everything about this situation. But the worst thing was that he didn’t know how to fix things. He wanted her to be happy, to be careless, and not let people’s opinions or some stupid assignment get the better of her, but he didn’t know how. It’s started to annoy him to the point where even the sky above him with the beautiful stars made him furious. “I had no idea…“ he trailed off after a while. Every word leaving his lips felt like one too much, but at the same time, he felt like he was not even able to say enough to fix things for her. “I’m so sorry.“ He just sat there shaking his head while moving some soil with his right hand. Y/n stayed quiet. She didn’t know what to say either. She felt bad for laying all her issues on him like that, but it felt so good. Iike a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. Before she could even think about a response, Jeff interrupted her again. “You should feel able to tell me stuff like this, Y/n/n.“ They locked eyes and Y/n could see the pain in his. “No, I know… It's just that-“ “That what?“ Jeff was desperately hoping for anything that could help him help her. “I don't want to be a bother… especially not for you.“ She hid her face between her knees again, fighting the tears that were threatening to spill. “Oh, Y/n… You could never.“ He grabbed her hands and basically forced her to look back at him again. Y/n could feel the wet soil squeezed between their fingers, making her hand tingle a little. “Never in a million years do or say anything that would make me think anything less of you than an amazing person.“ A genuine smile formed on Jeff’s lips. He could see her relaxing with his touch. Just like he did with hers. “That means a lot, Jeff.“ The way she said his name sent shivers down his spine. His smile grew even wider and Y/n took the tiny bit of confidence in her to speak again. “Especially coming from you… I-“ Secretly hoping he would interrupt her like he always did, Y/n looked up through her lashes. “I know. Me too…“ Jeff smiled. There was this twinkle in his eyes. Just a faint glimmer for every other person, but for Y/n it meant the world. Like a whole new galaxy had been opened just for her. There was something so obvious and unspoken between them now and Y/n loved that they both knew what it was. With no intention to address it, Jeff leaned in closer to her. He watched her face with intent, making sure that she was feeling better from her previous breakdown before he planned on doing anything else. But all she did was smile and hint a small nod his way. That was enough for him. He longed for her lips. His hand wandered back to her shoulder, squeezing it slightly as he bumped his nose against hers. Y/n moved her fingers towards Jeff’s face, touching the scruff on his jaw lightly. They could feel the electricity dancing in the centimeters that separated them. With a final look into her eyes, Jeff pressed his lips against hers, enjoying the warmth for a moment. They started to move in synch, devouring each other. There was nothing else at this moment. Nothing, except for the salty taste of tears and the overwhelming warmth of a loved one. Jeff’s chest felt like bursting from joy. He loved the feeling this moment was giving him. It felt like finally breathing after holding a breath for a month. Their kiss felt like a Valve that had finally been opened for Y/n. It was letting all the hurt and worry out of her system and made the moment even more enjoyable.
Once they separated from one another, there was nothing but positivity lingering in the air around them. They looked into each other’s eyes until Y/n was ripped from the moment by a yawn that had been sitting in her throat for hours. She rested her head on Jeff’s shoulder and slowly drifted off to sleep. Jeff was stroking her head calmly. There were no more words needed anymore. This moment was perfect.
Jeff looked ahead and noticed the sun rising on the horizon, dipping the world into beautiful red and yellow tones. He took a deep breath, leaning back carefully and enjoying the considerably most wholesome moment to ever exist.
Hey hey, it’s me again. I know it’s not the best and I know it’s kinda short, but I just wanted to get something out there again. It felt good to write, but unfortunately I don’t have a lot of time lately. I hope you enjoyed this little piece anyways. I would love to hear some feedback on it. Thank you so much for reading this far!

one year anniversary - d.d.
requested: yes! can I get a story where David and the reader get into a fight on their anniversary?
word count: 1625
masterlist
“Happy anniversary, baby,” David chuckled, untying the blindfold and hugging you from behind. Your eyes widened in shock at the rose petals covering the bed and the balcony overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The living room had a balcony with a table for two, a white tablecloth, candles, and roses set up to decorate it. A bottle of champagne and two glasses were left on a tray on the comforter on the bed and a handwritten note said there were chocolate covered strawberries in the minifridge. Your heart melted as David kissed the top of your head.
“Dave,” you gasped, turning around to face him. You rested a hand on his jaw and looked up at him. His eyes met yours for a moment before his lips crashed on to yours. He pushed you backwards and let you fall on to the bed. You grabbed his shirt collar and pulled him on top of you. David’s hands traced down your sides before tugging the hem of your shirt. You lifted your arms and he pulled your shirt over your head before tossing it on the floor. You rolled over so you were on top. You straddled him and unbuttoned the first three buttons on his shirt. You pressed your hands on his chest and lightly grinded your hips against his. You leaned forward, placing kisses on his neck. David ran his fingers through your hair before gripping it and aggressively flipping you over so he was back on top.
You were quickly interrupted by a knock on the door and someone in the hallway yelling “Room service!”
“Go put on that black dress you bought earlier and meet me out on the balcony in five,” he whispered, his breath hot in your ear, before kissing your neck and pulling away from you to answer the door.
You stumbled out of bed and into the bathroom. You tugged your jeans off and slipped the black silk dress over your head. You ran your fingers through your hair to smooth it out and touched up your makeup. You stepped into your black heels and put a leather jacket on since it was chillier at the ocean.
“You look stunning,” David whispered, staring at you from the doorway.
“You aren’t so bad yourself,” you giggled, ruffling his hair and giving him a kiss, before following him outside to the balcony.
The candles with lit and David had ordered all of your favorite foods. So far, he had done so much more for your anniversary than you ever expected, and you were beyond grateful to have such a caring boyfriend.
“Happy one year, Dave,” you smiled, leaning across the table and giving him a kiss.
“I have one more surprise for you,” David said, and you shot him a look. You had agreed that you weren’t going to do much for your anniversary and David had already done more than you anticipated. “It’s small, I promise,” David insisted, and you sighed.
“Alright, what is it?” you asked, curious as to what he could do to make tonight even more perfect.
“Well I know your lease is almost up and I was thinking, instead of you having to find a new place, I want you to move in with me,” David said, pulling a key out of his pocket and placing it on the table. “I love you and I don’t want you to have to worry about paying rent. I know LA is expensive and I don’t want money to ever be a problem for you.”
“What makes you think money is a problem for me?” you questioned, watching David’s face drain of color. You had never brought up your rent or anything about money around David because you didn’t want him to think you were asking for help.
“I overheard you talking to someone about how expensive your rent already was and how your landlord was increasing it a few weeks ago,” David replied, his eyes soft. “Why didn’t you come talk to me about it?”
It was a nice gesture, but you didn’t need him feeling sorry for you. “Because money isn’t a problem for you. I couldn’t talk to you without making it seem like I’m asking for help.”
“You still could’ve come to me,” David insisted, even though both of you knew that wasn’t true.
“Dave, it wasn’t your place to get involved. I appreciate you offering to let me move in with you, but I don’t need a handout. I can afford to pay my fucking rent.”
“I’m sorry. I just, I love you and I wanted to help you,” he sighed, his lips in a small pout and his eyes soft. He was looking at you like you were in need of help.
“The look on your face says it all. You didn’t ask me to move in with you out of love but keep telling yourself you did. You did it because you feel sorry for me. And I don’t want or need your pity,” you spat, your voice breaking with your last sentence. Tears flooded your eyes and you sprinted out of the Malibu hotel room.
Your hands were shaking as you dug your phone out of your purse to call your best friend. You took a few deep breathes and tried to stop crying.
“Hey, what’s up? Aren’t you on your anniversary getaway with Dave? Is everything okay?” she asked, and you could hear how concerned she sounded.
“We got into a fight,” you sighed, sitting on the cool sand.
“Aw, babe, what happened?”
“He asked me to move in with him.”
“Isn’t that a good thing?” she questioned. “I mean, you two have been together for a year and moving in together seems like the next step.”
“Well it would be if I knew he really wanted me to move in with him.”
“What do you mean?”
“A couple weeks ago I was talking to a co-worker about how my landlord was raising my rent and that living in LA was already super expensive and I guess David overheard the conversation. You should’ve seen the look on his face,” you sighed. “He didn’t ask me to move in with him because he loved me, he did it because he felt bad that I was having money problems.”
“You’re wrong,” David said from behind you. His voice was broken and raspy and his eyes were bloodshot.
“I’m going to have to call you back,” you said before hanging up the phone. You let out a deep breath and turned to face David.
“You’re wrong,” David repeated, stepping closer to you. You took a step backwards though to keep distance between you two. “I didn’t ask you to move in with me because I felt bad for you. I did it because I’m in love with you and I want to live with you.”
“Oh please,” you scoffed, rolling your eyes. “I don’t want your excuses.”
David sat on the sand, motioning for you to sit next to him. You reluctantly did so you wouldn’t be causing a scene. David wrapped his arm around your shoulder and pulled you closer to him. You shot him a death glare and he quickly removed his arm.
“Look,” he started, taking a deep breath. “About two months I asked Nat if she thought you moving in was a good idea. I knew your lease would be up next month and I didn’t want you have to worry about finding a new apartment.”
“What’d Natalie say?” you asked, looking over at him.
“She thinks it’s a great idea. She loves you. And she likes the fact that you can cook because neither of us can,” David chuckled. “But the point is, I have been planning to ask you to move in for months. And I didn’t mean to make it about the conversation I overheard. I just really don’t ever you want to worry about stuff like that.”
“And I don’t want to rely on you,” you stated. “David, I love you, I do. But I’m my own person and I can take care of myself.”
“I know. And I know you probably want to be alone right now, but I just want you to know that my offer still stands. Whether you want to move in tomorrow or when your lease is up or ten years from now. I want to live with you, but I want it to be on your terms because I love you,” David explained, before standing up and walking away.
You sat in the sand, watching the waves crash into the shore, thinking about what David said. You pulled your phone out, and thought about calling your best friend, but instead, you called Natalie. You needed to confirm David’s story before you could make your final decision.
“Hey, how is everything?” Natalie asked.
“Dave and I sort of got into a fight,” you started.
“Oh no. What happened?”
“It’s a long story. But I have a question. When did David first mention me moving in with him?”
“Right after Thanksgiving. He came back from spending it with you and said he wanted to ask you to move in. He was going to on Christmas and again on New Year’s Eve but he chickened out. I guess he finally asked you?”
You thanked her and hung up. Without a second thought, you were walking through the hotel lobby and unlocking the door to your room. David was standing inside with his arms open and you hugged him tightly.
“I love you,” you whispered, peppering his face with kisses. “And I want to move in with you.”
“God, I was hoping you would say that,” David smiled into the kiss. “I love you.”

The first few times you and David has had sex you didn’t really moan cause you were nervous but when he first hears you moan
it had been a couple times... it was great, fantastic even. the chemistry you shared was beyond anything you’d ever experienced. there was just one thing.. you felt weird about moaning. it’s one of those things, you never know if it’s enjoyable by the person you’re with to hear you moan.
tonight you’re a little tipsy.. a little bit drunk, actually. it was a cool night with David and Co and someone made sangria. One, two, three, four... glasses of sangria? you were feeling it and feeling yourself even more.
everyone was fizzling our and taking Uber’s to their respected safe places, so you grabbed the hand of yours and drug him to his bedroom.
David was putting in work, but you were really putting in work. Your lips and hips move on his swiftly. His hand creeps down to your ass and gives it a firm squeeze and that’s when it happens.
“OHHHHH!” you moan into his mouth. His grin is enough to light the dark around you. He moves to your neck and squeezes your butt again. “Mmmmmf,” right into his ear.
“You like that baby? It sounds so good when you moan for me, Y/N.” His words make you whimper again. He kisses lightly to your neck. “Never stop doing that. You’ve been holding out.”

Sitting in the living room, you watch from behind your laptop as David films another TikTok with Addison.
You notice how she glances up at him with those big eyes and bright smile, listening to his goofy laugh as he messes up another move or interrupts her dancing with his flame thrower. She’s lapping it up and as she finishes filming, your eyes follow as she stands close beside David, leaning against him as they watch back the footage.
It was always the same, there was always another girl more pretty, more successful, more talented for David to spend time with. You’ve always been there, in the background and that’s all you’ll ever be; just a background member of the vlogsquad.
“Hey, Y/n?” David calls out, snapping you from your own thoughts.
Lifting your head up, you smile in his direction as Addison ruffles his hair, making him chuckle and your hopes dishearten once more. “Yeah?” You respond.
“Do you mind filming this for us?” He asks, holding out his phone and you nod, rising to your feet and filming him and Addison doing a couples dance routine. It was goofy, but it was undeniably cute and will do nothing but fuel dating rumours further.
Once the routines are over, you silently hand him back his phone. David mutters a thank you before Addison continues to talk as you return to working.
“Oh, we should totally film again with the others sometime!” She suggests, leaning against the pool table as David stands in front of her with his arms crossed. “Like a group collab.” She adds, nudging him playfully.
David clears his throat, nodding in response. “That’d be cool. I’m hanging out with Madison later, but I can do Tuesday? Just check with Natalie.” David brushes it off, how he’s trying to fit in a TikTok star as he’ll be too busy with a musician and model tonight.
Trying to not roll your eyes, you save your work and sidetrack to Instagram on your phone in an attempt to block out the rest of David’s conversation.
It’s only when David waves to Addison and turns around to see you with your back turned that he takes the time to pick up a cushion and throws it at your head.
Falling forward, you quickly turn and glare at him. “David!” You call out, your cold look warming as he chuckles with that goofy smile. “Oh, you’ll pay for this.” You mutter, picking a cushion up as you proceed to chase him around the living room.
“You’ll never catch me, Y/n!” He continues to run away from you as you hold two cushions, holding them high in the air as you head toward the sofa after him.
Just as you lean out to clap his head with the cushions, you feel a pair of hands wrap around your waist and pull you down.
“David.” You laugh lightly, realising he’s now on top of you, trapping you on the sofa.
Both of your laughs subside and silence takes over as David remains on top of you. The cushions are both gone, resting by your side as David’s breathing deepens and his eyes flicker toward your lips.
“Dave, I-” Before you’re able to say anything else, the front door opens.
Quickly David pulls himself from you and straightens up. “Hey, guys!” He waves as Zane, Heath and Mariah walk in whilst you slowly sit upright, pushing back whatever you thought could’ve happened once more.
*
It had been a few weeks since your almost moment, and you still couldn’t find yourself to fully focus on David. Every time you looked in his direction, all you could feel were butterflies in your stomach as your thoughts clouded over. Yet, the second another girl started to flirt with him, those clouds became thunderous until you either excused yourself or she gave up.
“You know, you could just talk to him.” Mariah mutters beside you, catching you off guard as you’re all sitting in David’s room whilst he attempts to finish editing.
You scoff lightly, looking over your shoulder to make sure David isn’t paying any attention. “I don’t know what you mean.” You shrug a shoulder, but Mariah knows you better than you know yourself sometimes.
“Oh, really?” She quirks an eyebrow as she peers her head over to look at David and begins to part her lips to call him, but you quickly tug on her arm to back down.
Letting out a quiet sigh, you collapse further into the beanbag. “Okay fine.” You admit. “I won’t because it’ll just end badly, and I don’t want that sort of tension.” You explain, just as David picks his phone up to see a message from Stass.
“Stass is coming out with us tonight, she said she’ll probably bring Olivia and Madison too.” David says as he reads the message straight from his phone, looking around as a series of nods meet his gaze, all except for you.
“See what I mean?” You quietly question Mariah who pats your arm sympathetically. “I might as well just head home and chill. Like I wanna spend all night seeing a bunch of attractive girls feeling him up.” You mutter to Mariah as you rise to your feet and grab your bag.
Immediately, David focuses on you as a frown wears heavy on your lips. “Where you going?” David questions and a few others look around to see you hovering by the doorway, David now leaning on the edge of his bed.
Tugging on your bag, you force your eyes away from his. “I’ve got a lot of admin to do before the weekend, thought I’d go see my manager and get it sorted.” You explain, oblivious to David’s shoulders slumping.
“Are you coming tonight though?” He asks you, only to watch as you shake your head.
“Some other time though.” You comment before you pass through the door, hearing as conversations resume, but David’s voice remains absent.
Mariah focuses on David as he glances over, seeing her motion for him to follow you out.
As David heads toward the door to follow you, Mariah lets out a sigh of relief as she relaxes back into the beanbag. “My work here is done.” She mutters under her breath with a smile on her face, knowing the right thing is finally being done about you both.
“Hey, Y/n.” Pausing in his driveway, you turn around to see David closing his front door and walking toward you. “Are you okay?”
Raising an eyebrow, a nervous sigh follows from your lips. “I mean, yeah. Why wouldn’t I be?” You question, crossing your arms with your keys dangling from your fingertips.
“You’ve just been acting off lately, not coming out with us,” David explains as you continue to avoid eye contact. “and you’re barely looking at me, even now.” He adds, catching you off guard as your eyes snap onto his.
“I’ve just been busy, that’s all.” You reason, but David shakes his head as he stands closer.
“No, it’s not just that.” David mutters as he tries to think back to the last few times you’ve been absent, where they went and who went with them. And then it hits him, and David can’t help but chuckle under his breath. “Are you jealous, Y/n?”
“Jealous of what?” You quickly retort, only spiking David’s curiosity further. “Of the girls that have been around lately?” You watch as a smirk begins to rise across David’s lips, but you scoff.
“As if I’d be jealous. Why would I anyway? I’m allowed to be busy David, my world doesn’t revolve around you.” You bite back before turning around to walk to your car, but David quickly moves to stand in front of you, blocking your way. “David, just move.” You sigh.
“Not without doing this.” David comments before resting his hands on your cheeks and leaning in, kissing you passionately.
After a split second of confusion, you kiss him back. Your hands rest around his shoulders, lost in your own world as you deepen the kiss before eventually pulling away to catch a breath.
“So, does this mean you won’t be jealous anymore?” David questions as you chuckle. “Because I think it’s clear who I like.”
You hum to yourself, your hand rising to play with his hair. “I’m not sure, you’ll have to remind me somehow.” You playfully smile before kissing him once more, knowing this is just the beginning.

ngl david has me pissed but that doesn’t mean i think of pulling his hair and nibbling on his lips 🥴🥴 -🤍
Okay I feel like he'd be on for a good punishment given that he's been so reckless.
Maybe a shock device attached to his cock, more painful than pleasurable. His hands tied behind his back, you push the button and he gasps, whining, he'd ask you to stop but you do it again and he moans. You know it hurts and you know he likes it.

‘’No, he’s gonna visit his cousins at Krispy Cream!’’
David screamed into the group of people on his couch and was soon to be greeted by a fit of laughter from everyone in the living room.
I didn’t really listen to be honest, but I was pretty sure he had just made a comment about Jonah. The poor guy always had it coming whenever he came along with David and his friends. We were currently hanging out at David’s house, just having a fun evening with the so called Vlog Squad. David, of couse, had his camera tugged under his arm, ready to film every funny comment he could possibly use for his Youtube channel.
I had been fairly new to this whole thing. Just getting here through Natalie who had offered me a job as her co-assistant for the one and only David Dobrik.
Sure, I had heard about him. Mostly from Natalie. She was the one showing me a couple of his videos, while talking me into the situation I was currently in, as well. The girl introduced this little get-together as a kind-of-job-interview. Though I was certain I could have the job if I wanted it, since she promoted the assistant spot as a >if you want it you can have it< kinda situation, I had dressed up accordingly. Little did I know that David Dobriks ‘job-Interwievs’ didn’t consist of the usual one on one discussions in which I would be asked a bunch of unnecessary questions. No, David just greeted me with a wide grin on his face and pushed me in midst a group of friends shortly after. And to make it even more awkward, he recorded every little bit of it after announcing that he would want to see how long I would make it with their humor and strange tendency to talk about every topic possible. Whether it was appropriate, or not.
I was pulling on my blouse, trying to get as comfortable as possible beeing squeezed between Natalie and a guy, I believed was named Ilya. During the past two hours I had grown quite used to the people around me. It was still overwhelming to be with this group of individuals that radiated enough energy to power a truck.
My gaze wandered along everyone's faces before I fixed my eyes on David, trying to distract myself from the noise and anecdotes coming from the small crowd around me. To my surprise, this plan worked extremely well, since david glanced over to me every once in a while to shoot me a toothy grin. Now that I had gotten a closer look at him, I had to admit, he was pretty cute. Apart from the fact that I was an absolute sucker for dark hair, he also had this glimmer in his eyes every time his jokes made his friend laugh, which was basically every time the boy said something.
-Sometimes I wondered if they just laughed, because they were more likely to get a car from David if they do. His jokes weren’t really that funny.-
I thought to myself but was interrupted when David’s gaze met mine once again. I looked around, trying to escape the shocked expression on his face, but was yet to be greeted with the rest of the faces, which either shared that expresion or started laughing uncontrollably. I glanced back to David who now had a wide grin plastered across his face.
Shit.
‘’OMG; she can talk!’’, Erin screamed, pointing her finger at me. Her red hair bouncing off her shoulders as she tried to muffle a laugh.
‘’And she’s funny, too!’’, Zane blurted out.
Shit. Shit. Shit!
I fixed my stare on Natalie, eyes wide in shock. I felt the heat rising to my face as I saw her laughing, too.
‘’Did I just say that out loud?’’
Now it was David that laughed loudly, throwing his head back in the process. ‘’You’re hired! When can you start?’’, He said, still laughing between every syllable. My head grew hotter by the second and I tried hiding my face by pulling my shoulders as close to it as possible. This was so awkward. Why did I have to be like that? It was the first time I had said anything to the group besides greeting them and of course it had to be something like this. I searched the room in desperate need for something to hide in and wait until the earth would swallow me whole. My muscles eased as soon as my eyes caught sight of the kitchen. Open, but still far away from everyone that was seated on the white sofa.
‘’Sorry… Uhm I’m gonna get some water.’’
My body shot up trying to escape this situation as fast as it could. I rounded the corner and headed towards the kitchen, looking for a bottle of water I could chugg to silence my thoughts and prevent my mouth from saying any more stupid and inappropriate things. My heart rate slowed down again and I started regaining my confidence that I seemed to have lost under the sofa the second I opened my mouth just seconds before. A couple minutes later I felt footsteps approaching me. -great-
‘’Listen, I really don’t want to talk about it. Can you just take me home? I don’t think I can set foot in this house ever again after what just happened.’’
The thought of the previous situation drowned me in embarrassment again. I sighed turning around, ready to meet with Natalie’s amused grin, the one she always had on her lips when something funny happened.
‘’Oh, that’s too bad. I just started to like the idea of you as my assistant.’’
My muscles froze. Clenching the water bottle as hard as I could without spilling its insides I stared directly into David Dobriks brown orbs. Not to mention they were beautiful, but that was besides the point and a totally inapropriate thing to think about considering the current situation I found myself in. He looked at me expectantly.
Oh no no no. Why did this happen? I looked up throwing another cuss word at the ceiling before setting my eyes back down on the boy in front of me. He was dressed in all balck, hair messy and hands buried in his pockets. -kinda hot-
‘’I’m so sorry… I didn’t mean to-’’, I stammered but was cut off by David.
‘’Dont worry about it. This is my type of humor. You really don’t have to feel embarrassed or anything. Besides, the others seemed to enjoy your comment. It’s cool, really.’’
He chuckled while shaking his head before he looked back up to me, ‘’Maybe I should offer you a car to have you stay with us.’’
David winked at me before stepping forward to search the fridge for a bottle of water. I stood there watching him as he unscrewed it and started drinking. Shifting from one foot to the other I inspected the floor again.
‘’They’re not mad? Are you sure?’’
‘’Pff-’’, he chuckled again, ‘’They normally crack jokes that are by far more inapropriate and mean than that.’’
David laughed again, Probably in a matter to ease the situation a little. But I didn’t feel comfortable. Who was I to just come here and insult him like that with no particular reason what so ever.
‘’Hey-’’, the youtuber stepped forward, revealing his dirty vans to me, ‘’look at me.’’
I didn’t want to. He was so close. Alone his scent , which I could smell from here, made my heart pick up its beat. Who knows what would happen if I actually looked into this man’s eyes. Slowly lifting my gaze, I prayed that obeying his demands would end the situation faster. I just hoped to be able to run out of this house. It seemed to suffocate me with its tension and all these people I barely knew. My plans where stopped by David, who grabbed my arm in a swift manner and pulled me past the pool table towards the living area. Unaware of the tingle he sent through my whole body, he stopped a few feet away from his friends and tugged at my sleeve once again. David nodded his head in the direction of Natalie. They were all wrapped up in a heated discussion and seemed to have blocked out the previous happenings. Maybe he was right. Maybe it didn’t bother them as much as it bothered me.
‘’See…’’, He whispered, ‘’they’re cool with you.’’
My uncertain stare must have been obvious, because he began to talk again: ‘’And if you’re still not convinced, Corinna over there-’’, he pointed towards a blonde girl in the corner across from us, ‘’Her first words towards me were ‘I would hook up with you for clout.’.’’
This eased my mind slightly. I stared up at David, who stood close beside me, hand still wrapped around my forearm and laughing at the thought of his statement about the blonde on the other end of his living room.
‘’Alright’’, I grinned and David squeezed my shoulders before he pushed me all the way over to the sofa dropping down beside me.
It was dark out when natalie and I got into her car and pulled out of the driveway. The rest of the evening went quite smoothly. David‘s friends sure had a weird kind of humor, but once I had gotten used to it, listening to their conversations was actually amusing. They were, with no doubt, good people that quickly grew on me. Besides his friends, David was a sweet guy himself. Through the rest of the evening he had made sure I didn’t feel left out and tried explaining most of the jokes to keep me on track with the conversations. Yet I couldn’t help but wonder what intrigued me so much about him. How did this guy I barely knew make something within me twitch and tingle with only the slightest touch? I Grinned at the thought of him.
‘’And… what do you think?’’, Natalie wiggled her eyebrows at me before focusing on the road again. She was smiling from ear to ear.
‘’I guess they’re alright… I think I want to work with you.’’
Natalie grinned even wider now: ‘’This is going to be awesome! I will call David right away!’’
‘’Hmmhmm…’’, I trailed off ignoring the skip of my heart beat by the thought of David Dobrik. Working with my best friend was definitely something I was excited about, but working for a person I was very likely to grow feelings for would make the situation a lot more complicated.
My phone rang.
New Message:
Congratulations to the new job! How would you like to move in with Nat and me? I’ll see you tomorrow ;) - d
This was going to be interesting.

we keep this love in a photograph - d.d.
requested: yes! david having a private ig to post disposable pics of your relationship and one day he makes it public and that’s how you announce your relationship
word count: 830
ps: i wrote this while extremely hungover so if it’s terrible i am so sorry
masterlist
Ever since David started his disposable camera obsession, you were his favorite person to take pictures of. The camera was always pointed at you. David would take pictures of you asleep on the couch, of you getting ready, of the two of you cuddling together, of you two holding hands, and everything else he could. He liked having the pictures, even if he couldn’t share them with the world.
“Smile,” he grinned, pointing the camera at you for the tenth time today. You looked up from the book you were reading and rolled your eyes.
“David, stop,” you giggled, using your hands to your face. David snapped a picture anyways.
“Babe, you look good today. Just let me take one picture,” David begged.
“You’ve taken a million already,” you sighed, but moved your hands and smiled for him. You couldn’t say no to him.
“Now, was that so hard?” he teased, climbing into bed and pulling you in for a hug.
“What do you even do with all the pictures you take of me?” you questioned, since he couldn’t post them on the Instagram with his other disposable pictures because you were keeping your relationship private.
He chuckled before pulling his phone out of his back pocket. He opened Instagram and switched to an account you didn’t recognize. It had no followers and it wasn’t following anyone, but there were almost a hundred posts. He handed you his phone and you scrolled through the posts. They were all pictures he’d taken of you, you’d taken of him, or someone had taken of the two of you together. Each post had a caption with the date the picture was taken and a short description describing it.
You scrolled to the first picture he had posted. It was from the first time he bought a disposable camera. You had gone with him at 2am to buy it from a 24-hour CVS. He ripped it out of the packaging to take a picture of you so you would be the first person he took a picture of. You were sitting in the passenger seat of the Tesla in a Clickbait hoodie and your hair was a mess because David had woken you up and begged you to come with him. The flash had blinded you and the picture was slightly out of focus. When David developed the first roll of film, he told you that it was his favorite picture of you, and he still told you that months later.
You smiled as you remembered that night.
You scrolled through a few more, nothing really standing out, until you came across one of you taking your makeup off after a night out. You were in the tube top you had worn out, but you were wearing sweatpants. You were running a makeup wipe across your face, your eyes half open as you looked over at David, a drunk smile on your face.
It was so much the picture that stood out, but the caption. He had posted it about two weeks into starting the account, and you had only been dating for around a month the time. In his caption he wrote: “I haven’t said yet, but I’m definitely in love with her.” He posted that picture a few weeks before he actually said it to you.
You rested your head on his chest and smile as you looked through the rest of pictures and read the captions.
“Dave, this is so thoughtful,” you smiled, your eyes filling with tears of happiness at how sentiment and sincere it was. “I love you.”
“It’s a private account for now, but I figured I’d make it public when we tell people that we’re dating. I mean, if that’s okay with you,” David said.
“I think that’s a great idea,” you grinned, leaning in and giving him a kiss.
You decided to announce your relationship a few months later. David just made the account public and started following it, since he knew people kept up with who he was following. Within minutes, the news was all over twitter and Instagram. It was chaotic, but it was typical David.
You curled up next to him on the couch. He was editing his new vlog, the one where you two had actually sat down and talked about your relationship to tell the fans what you knew they would want to know. David wrapped his arm around you, a small smile formed when he kissed the top of your forehead.
A flash went off, startling you for a moment, even though you were used to the disposable cameras by now. You both looked up to see Natalie holding the disposable camera, a smile on her face.
“I figured David would want a picture from the night you announced your relationship to post on his super sappy love letter Instagram account,” she teased. You let out a giggle and David didn’t even try to defend himself because it was true.
