My service dog gets down time too.

When you see a service dog working for its handler in a heel, do you think that the dog never gets any down time? Anytime the dog is in public it must be wearing its service dog vest and be attentive of its handler. That the dog is never just aloud to walk ahead and be a dog. This is not true, service dogs get down time, you have probably seen an off duty service dog and not even realized it because they behave like a well behaved pet. I have gone out more times with my service dog off duty then on duty. My service dog will alert to my needs whether or not she is on duty, however what does change is if you can pet her. I personally will allow people to pet her when she is not wearing her service dog vest, and guess what i allow her to pull on the leash. I know crazy right, allowing my dog to express opinon about what she wants to do while off the clock. I even put her on a flexi leash and harness and let her walk and sniff on trails and such. Now I could go into why a dog needs to sniff and all that, but I think I will save it for another post. Over all my service dog gets more down time then working time. We also need to look into the time that they spend at home with there handlers, is the dog going to be in a heel at it own house, no its not its going to curl up on the dog bed in front of the fire place and take a nap, this is all my dog does when she is not demanding attention from me while we are at the house. She is allowed to be a dog and not have to worry about taking cues from me to do stuff. So i hope this helped you understand that service dogs are not always just robots to there humans, they are living creatures who need breaks and time to just be a creature. Because of all of the free time she has on sniffy walks and hang out time at the house, that is the reason that she is okay with going into public and working for a few hours at a time, cause she knows that she is going to get rewarded with 5 hours of nap time and a 1 hour sniffy walk maybe longer or shorter depending on how im feeling.

A commission i did for a mother. I think is a scam.

The full story is this woman want me to draw her picture of her dog for her son. I believed her because she was almost begging me and I was kind, when I told her is free she insisted on paying me 300 using an app called Skrill for international transaction, I believe her, but the app told me to turn my account into a business one, which requires me to pay 200usd when I use aud, the woman said she’ll pay it for me and did it before I can stop her, so I thought is just 300 something so I paid but then I end up having to paying another 350aud for insurance, I paid again but my account was restricted because my ID was rejected by the app. I panicked and asked for a refund, after about 4 hours of arguing and talking the app only started to confirm my receipt of the refund, so do you guys think is a fraud?

SOAP

Soap would absolutely love Riley. That guy is goofy, and with Riley, they get goofy together. They love Playing. Soap buys a whole bunch of toys that Y/N and Simon keep having to pick up from various rooms. They run to exhaustion. Once they both played outside in the rain and came back full of mud and wet. You had picked up Riley to go give him a bath while Simon picked up the garden hose and sprayed Soap. You had to run to stop him telling him to let him come inside and shower, he'd clean the hallway later. Now Riley knows that when Soap calls for him, it's fun time.

Price

Price is the usual dad. The 'I don't want a dog even if he's cute.' 'ok we keep the dog.' 'ok he can sleep on the couch' 'no I'm not letting him on my chair' and then you find them asleep in said chair, Riley on top of him both sound asleep. Price would love to go on walks with him. Absolutely loves to take him to the forest with him or when he goes fishing. Once GAZ joked that he attracts all the ladies when he's out with Riley, making Price smile embarrassingly.

Gaz

Gaz likes to chill with Riley. Sometimes they play tug. Sometimes they're both on the couch watching TV. You had let the boys babysit Riley once when you had to travel for a very important meeting on a weekend. He had sent pictures non stop with cute messages. Price napping with Riley 'grandpa is sleeping with his grandson'. Riley eating and Ice cream with Soap 'we had a snack, kid got hungry. Sorry kidS' .

One where Riley and soap where sitting on the ground with Simon arms crossed in front of them. 'They broke something again. Dad is scolding them'.

It would make you laugh and smile. He'd facetime you at night so Riley could see you and you were grateful for it all.

Amy

Amy would be a bit scared at the beginning. Riley is a big dog, and she's small. It took a little adaptation for the both of them, some supervision but eventually they become best friends. Riley is a sweetheart with her. He lets her nap with her head on him and Y/N finds it adorable. Once you had let them play outside with Soap. You panicked when you notice Soap picking up a juice box from the fridge.

"why aren't you with Amy??"

"just came to grab juice, besides, no one would touch Amy. Come see."

You had frowned, following him. You had indeed understood as soon as you stepped outside. Amy was playing around with her Legos and dolls while Riley sat, alert looking around at any sound. He had quickly decided on his own to become her private little bodyguard.

Konig

Konig and Riley would be weary of each other. The mask would make Riley stand his ground and Konig would be so sad and terrified to make a move. It took time for them to get used to each other. Now you often find Riley sleeping on Konig's bed as he's playing videos games. Sometimes Konig would sneak downstairs to grab snacks and take some for Riley. You'd be suspicious and follow just a few minutes later to find them munching on chips or treats of even plain ham or cheese.

"Konig, I told you! No eating in between meals! Both of you!"

Simon

You thought you had big dog privelege? Now you have two big scary dog privelege. You already felt safe with Simon, now you felt overprotected. Simon and Riley just love to train together. They'd run together. Combat training, field training. Riley would follow him anywhere and Simon would gladly take him unless he'd rather you have him.

They'd share cuddles, Simon laying with his head on your stomach, arms around your waist while you played with his hair and Riley with his head on your thighs, Simon petting him. You'd love your Riley's, and they would love you just as much.

Yixing is a bit awkward around your dog to say the least

The two of kind of walk around each other as they get used to one another

It starts with joining you in practicing commands you’d been teaching with with the two of you

To sneakily feeding him some extra treats for doing a good job and protecting you

Okay, maybe he wins your dog over through his stomach

But he gives all the cuddles and affection possible too

Ngl Baekhyun was intimidated by your dog upon first meeting him

He knew you had one and had been very understanding of the whole situation

It shock him to see the two of you at a training session and seeing him in action

Jeongin really didn’t realize your dog wasn’t just your typical pet

He’d always been so sweet and cuddly that it took him by surprise

And he quickly rewards and praises the hard worker for the intelligence he possesses

Don’t be surprised when he takes an interest in going to training sessions

Starts researching all there is to know about personal protection dogs

Takes initiative to really get the best treatment and care for him when he’s around to give it

He also openly states that he’s more than willing to be the protector so that he can rest and really enjoy being a dog from time to time as long as you feel comfortable

Sehun:

Sehun is pretty straightface when he meets your dog

Just really letting him do his thing as he explores the new human in the house

I’ll say that Sehun quickly learns his role as the second man

The dog is first

He demands all the love from you (both) when he’s not working

He loves spending time with you both and seeing him in his element

Training wise

Lord save the day when he actually sees him in action because he’s gonna jump in on it to if it means protecting you

oh gods, no, I think that you are doing truly well for the people's names you have to learn! personally that's another reason why I don't think that I'd be fit to teach, I'd be just using the wrong name or just calling people over like 'you... over there!'.

(it is funny to say this when I always made sure that my teachers knew my name, as I was the annoying child raising my hand).

oh that's so cool! I think we come from different teaching system but basically in here I think that a lot of female artists gets overshadowed + they get described as copying the male artist's style and it always enrages me so much because it's such a male-view of the whole art, so that's a truly nice change and I was always thankful when teacher made sure to actually incorporate women artists in their lessons!

also yeah, Ewan, like aren't you curious? I honestly have too many instagram account for various reasons and I low key should delete a few as I don't use them too much, but ugh. but yeah, a day with Ewan sounds so nice, although I'd definitely judge him for how he takes his coffee.

OH I AM GLAD, I NOT THE ODD ONE OUT! people around me are always like 'when you are in love, you'll understand it'. AND NO, I DON'T WANT TO UNDERSTAND IT! I WANT MY SPACE AND PEACE! it's worse than meeting the parents, like that's your - potential - boyfriend's doggo and she looks so huge and big and you know that she doesn't like people and Aemond waves you over and you are like 'I wouldn't want to disturb you, I can just drop...' 'no, actually... can you just look at Vhagar while I go to the bathroom? I really need to pee but I didn't want to leave her alone'.

and that's it, you can't say no, obviously so now Vhagar's head is in your lap and she is awake and alert and clearly noticing you are a stranger but maybe... you smell like Aemond, or maybe Aemond did talk to her about you ('... so I met this cute person... they have good taste, a bit nervous but I truly enjoy them'), and here she is adjusting in your lap and going back to sleep. BOOM office date with Aemond smiling at you as you try again not to wake up poor big gal Vhagar.

also I might disappear a bit till next week, as I have a lot of stuff to do with the master's degree + might take a break from Tumblr (feel a bit annoying for others, but in the meanwhile I shall recharge and in the meanwhile I hope you'll have a nice day!)

lmao I was too! I was always like, smh why did the teather didn't learn my name??? but now I'm like, chill. I totally get it. And ohhh yeah in that sense it's totally similar! in my art history classes, all I've seen have been male artists. Even in my master's, during the Mexican Art class, the teacher dedicated (1) class to talk about the women artists. But gave us the most basic ass analyses questions, while he went in-depth with the rest of the artists and movements we saw before. It was so frustrating.

A day with Ewan sounds heavenly, friend ughhhhhhhh. But LMAO definitely!! I swear everytime I pour my black coffee on my travel mug to go to work I'm thinking, HOW does Ewan take his coffee with 7 sugars!? I'm convinced he was just fucking with the interviewer lmao. THE AEMOND SMOKING COSPLAYER YES YES YES OMG and Ewan being a wattpad boi by smelling of coffee and cigarettes slkjfldkjglkjsg lmao. Like normally I'd find that combo super nasty but on a hot guy?? oh jesus. And when my students are smoking and they come back to the classroom reeking of it I'm always like ugh ugh ughhhhhhhhhhh. I hate the smell of secondhand smoke just, in general. BUT. But but but....................................I can make that exception. AND ALSO I'M DYING reading this Vaghar thought over and over, oh my god, I love her!! You'd be fretting over her liking you and totally taking a deep exhale once you see that she's all chill with you. Definitely just as terrifying as meeting the parents or more! I'd be so depressed if a doggo didn't like me, specially the doggo of the guy I'm interested in!! And also in every universe I hc Vaghar to be very protective of Aemond, so her liking you would definitely be a huge relief! And for Aemond as well. If you have Vaghar's seal of approval, then he can rest easy knowing you're good for him. Office date of my DREAMS. Also....what kind of art would Aemond have on his office?? He strikes me as a black & white photography kind of guy.
