CP9 Cat Headcanons
This is... a very silly post. XD After seeing a similar concept on Pixiv (images 10–12 in this log) and critiquing the breed choices it used, I wound up writing my own take on it.
These are written with actual cats in mind (not my usual Hybrid Au), and the breed choices are just for fun— as in, largely chosen based on looks/vibes, not anything too serious. I was definitely channeling that early 2000s "characters are cats for some reason now" mini-genre, so these are pure fluff/comedy, for once... >3>

Lucci
(Bengal)
Serial toy murderer. Violently destroys any and every toy you give him within a matter of hours, days at MOST.
Some of the things he’s done to his toys probably qualify as war crimes tbh. Likes to drown the catnip mice in his water dish. Also enjoys tearing things into ragged chunks/”gutting” the stuffing.
Sometimes you wake up to him on your chest with a present.
(A chunk of mutilated cat toy. He drops it onto your face.)
The most athletic cat you’ll ever know. There is no surface in your house he can’t reach SOMEHOW. Also can and will learn how to open doors, drawers, etc, and will use this unfortunate skill to get into everything if he’s bored.
Affectionate, but only on his terms. You don’t decide when you’re allowed to pet him; when the mood strikes, he’ll interrupt whatever you’re doing and forcefully put his body in your lap.
You’re not allowed to move until he decides you’re done. :)
Has a surprisingly cute kneading habit. He’ll go Baby Mode and make biscuits for hours. Sucks on certain blankets too.
Kaku
(Devon Rex)
ZOOMIES TO THE MAX.
Seemingly never sits still. Will run from one end of your house to the other at all hours of the day. At night, you’re regularly woken up by the distinct rapid thumping of galloping kitty paws.
Likes high places and unexpected perching spots. This includes your shoulder— and he can make the jump on his own!
Playful, but not prone to destroying his toys. Prefers batting hard objects down a flight of stairs to tearing the plush ones open.
Too brave (and curious) for his own good. Lacks any sense of danger when it comes to investigating something that’s caught his interest.
This includes slipping through the front door.
Not super cuddly, but likes being near you/keeping an eye on what you’re doing.
Has a squeaky “old man” meow. WEH!
Jabra
(Egyptian Mau)
Wild, playful, curious, and so very destructive. If he’s not kept entertained, your property will suffer for it.
Requires FREQUENT play and attention, but fortunately, he’s not too hard to please. Throwing a squishy ball for “fetch” can keep him occupied for hours.
The asshole cat who will make direct eye contact with you before (very deliberately) knocking something off a shelf, then sit there smugly while you try to scold him.
Very talkative! When he wants your attention, he YELLS, and seeing wildlife outside always brings out that excited, bloodthirsty chitter.
Taking him to the vet is an ordeal, for everyone involved...
Doesn’t mind being pet and handled. Pesters you for affection regularly, but gets bitey when he’s had enough. :/
Highly territorial. Will not tolerate other cats/animals near him.
Kalifa
(Turkish Angora)
Truly the embodiment of the “disdainful gorgeous fancy cat” trope.
Her fur is incredible, due largely in part to near-constant grooming. Do NOT interrupt her washing.
She’ll wash your fingers too if she’s feeling affectionate. Mlem mlem mlemmmm...
Likes to be involved in what you’re doing. The kind of cat to walk across your keyboard or loaf-sit on top of stray paperwork, seemingly oblivious to how badly she’s getting in the way.
At least your “adorable secretary” makes for good moral support!
Not overly playful, but she can be a DEADLY hunter when the mood strikes— fast, agile, and with amazing reflexes no matter what kind of toy you put in front of her.
Weirdly fickle about when you’re allowed to touch her. Will glare, hiss, and swat at fingers if you test those boundaries.
Blueno
(Norwegian Forest Cat)
The most quiet, low-maintenance, independent cat imaginable. You nearly forget he exists, sometimes.
Not much of a meower, but has a deep, calming, rumbly purr.
Content to curl up on a chair or in a corner and let you go about your day! He’ll alternate between napping and silently staring in your general direction; the eye contact is a sign of affection. <3
Won’t seek out attention on his own, but also won’t fight it if you pick him up and carry him around like a plushie.
...he stays limp and docile no matter what you do to him, actually.
Needs regular brushing, or his fur starts to matt. It’s pretty much the only “extra attention” he’ll require, though, and he’s (fortunately) cooperative about it.
Learned how to open doors at some point. You don’t know how he managed that.
Fukurou
(Persian)
R O U N D (and it’s not just fluff)
Despite being shaped like a furry bowling ball, he’s quite playful, and way more agile/fast-moving than you’d expect.
...that energy is much less cute when his full weight lands on your abdomen in the middle of the night, however.
VERY affectionate. Will take any opportunity to lay his chin on your palm, headbutt your shoulder/wrists, put his paws on your chest so he can try to lovingly lick your face, etc— purring all the while!
Chatty cat!! Chirps and squeaks at you non-stop; if you “respond” to him, it turns into a back-and-forth conversation with his mrrep-ing.
Fond of high places, like bookshelves and tall dressers.
It’s unclear how such a heavy cat manages to get up onto them, but he usually ends up yowling for help when he can’t get back down.
Kumadori
(British Longhair)
A huge, massively fluffy mini-lion of a cat, with that “polite little gentleman” face common in his breed.
Sheds. Sheds SO MUCH. All of your clothes are covered in his fur, no matter how hard you try to keep him thoroughly brushed.
You cannot escape the fluff.
YOWLS. The loudest, most determined drama queen when he wants something. Acts like he’s dying if his food bowl is empty for more than half an hour, non-stop howling included.
Extremely cuddly; wants as much attention from you as you’ll give, and will flop his entire body into your lap to get it.
Fond of jingly toys! The louder and more annoying the bell, the better.
If you ever have to give him medicine (be it a pill or liquid), he’s utterly betrayed. Gives you the huge, sad, miserable scared-kitty eyes for the rest of the evening, and won’t let you touch him.
(He’s over it by morning, and back to purring in your arms. Baby.)
Spandam
(Siamese)
The ugliest purebred imaginable, and his personality isn’t better. <3
Health issues. Skin/coat problems, numerous food sensitivities, arthritis, frequent UTIs, and a crooked tail from a past injury.
King of separation anxiety. If he can’t find you, he’s HOWLING, then finding a corner to cower in until his protector is back.
Truly the embodiment of the phrase “scardey cat”. Terrified of everything from the vacuum to rustling plastic bags. Huddles under the couch, trembling pathetically, after every little scare.
...it is kind of cute when he runs to you to “save” him, however.
This clumsy dumbass WILL get himself hurt (in incredibly stupid ways) if you don’t keep an eye on him. Utterly oblivious to real danger.
His distressed yowling is awful, and the attention-demanding yells aren’t much better. The classic So So Whiney Baby Siamese!
NEEDS to be the only cat in the household— he’s violently territorial, but guaranteed to end up the other cat’s punching bag once he’s pissed them off enough.

catvatar piandao is a very long sleek all-black cat who used to be a scrappy street cat but is now an indoor cat who loves his life laying around on plush pillows and eating good food but sometimes he'll kill a mouse and drop it in front of your bedroom door and you feel like he's trying to prove to you he's still got that killer instinct. catvatar jeong jeong is a small long-haired orange street cat with a permanent frown and matted fur and a missing eye who hisses if you get too close but he isn't completely feral and one time when you were crying on your porch he came and sat next to you. iroh is a big fluffy orange housecat and you think he's a useless dumb lazy cat but then you foster an undersocialized kitten and he's sweet and nurturing and really helps the kitten adjust. bumi is one of those ugly-cute hairless cats and kinda crusty and gross at his extremely old age but he still plays like a kitten and it's endearing (if a little weird when he gets up in your face, as he is wont to do). pakku is a grey long-haired dignified-looking cat who likes to hang out in the same room as people but on the highest perch possible so he can look down on everyone but nobody can touch him. kanna is a grey tabby cat who doesn't like most people but has one or two she curls up next to and purrs so loudly. hama is also a grey tabby who's really sweet and cuddly but whenever she kills mice she messes with them and bats them around like toys before going in for the kill and it's a little unnerving

After September 18-20
That’s the whole comic pile. But there’s a twist!
Regrettably, I also fell in love with the precious menace. So much so I’ve wanted an evil little bat bastard (batstard) of my own to hug and/or throttle. But looking up the usual bat plush options only gives you choices between hyper-realistic, overdone edgelord Hot Topicish, or boring emoji-looking versions. Nothing that looked like the sweetly sinister little Count Batcula.
Except for one.
And guess who came in the mail the other day?
He’s real! And very soft, cuddly, and well-made (for an unholy undead terror of the night).
I know it’s probably silly to add something like this to the Dracula Daily post pile in the midst of all the horror, tragedy, and literary meta, but if anyone else out there wants a wee malicious flying bloodsucking jerk of their own that’s like the conniving cutie of the above comics, this is the closest lookalike around: the Bewitching Bat Plush by Jellycat. Results are in!! Vampire animal traits! You all unanimously voted together!
So you get animal traits! So I'll list off some of the traits I definitely give to N that can now be applied to the vampire drones. These will mostly be bird and bat traits.
Vampire traits below ⬇⬇⬇
❥ Vampires will have good hearing like bats!
Vampire drones won't need eyesight, you would be able to have a completely blind worker drone that uses sound like echolocation as a bat would! This can be both an advantage and disadvantage. If you're in an uncrowded it would be easy to target prey, but in a crowd of people or a crowded place it would be difficult for the vampire to be able to differ between what's human and what's robot.
This also leaves them vulnerable to loud noises such as school bells and alarms and easily irritates them.
❥ Vampire's having bad eyesight in bright areas.
Vampire's are already used to working in the dark, so when they're shoved into bright rooms or areas especially when they haven't been given time to adjust to their surroundings and are vulnerable when it comes to bright lights or flashes, temporarily blinding them.
For vampire's like V who need glasses but refuse to wear them, it gets especially bad and usually has to rely solely on echolocation because they simply cannot adjust to the light correctly.
❥ Vampire's love hanging upsidedown when they go into sleep mode!
The ceilings in the manor are usually adorned with one or more hooks per room, this way vampire's can use the hook on their tails to hook onto these hooks and secure them when they sleep upside down.
When there is no hooks available such as hanging upside down in a tree, if the branch is too thick for the vampire to safely wrap all the way around they can stab the hook much like a grappling hook into the trees wood with their sharp pointed hooked ends.
If the branch is easily hooked around the vampire can choose either to wrap the tail multiple times before safely hanging upside down, or they can loop their tail around and then hook themselves securely to their tail.

❥Vampire's gift things to people they like/are interested in. 💕
This is similar to how crows will gift you something once you help them. Vampire's if they like you or are greatful to you will gift you something, either something they caught like a worker drone part if they are giving to another vampire or something they think the other would like.
Using Nuzi as an example, N found out Uzi likes cats. So every time he sees her he gifts her something cat related, whether that be a book that has/is about cats, a plush, a beanie ect because that's N's love language he loves always getting something for Uzi when he sees her.
❥ Vamps give wings cuddles!!
Vampire's who are more of the friendly type like to not only hug and cuddle but like to include their wings in the mix. (Though they do love wrapping their wings around them selves in general, like when they're hanging upside like a bat.)
People they are very close to get the privilege of wing cuddling, for example due to how close N is with both Cyn and Uzi, whenever they get the opportunity to have some cuddle time N loves to keep them close by wrapping his wings around them, sometimes even when they fall asleep in cuddly positions as well.
❥ Vampire's love showing off their wings to potential mates.
Of course the most important trait is showing off to potential mates, making sure to both receive the praise they love to hear and also wooing over the girl. Though this of course isn't very common practice, lovable goofs with a similar personality to N have tried it. N has definitely tried it on V at least once or twice on separate occasions due to his feelings towards her, and not yet towards Uzi or any other potential mates.

Positively SCREAMING about the upcoming Jellycat Autumn release! So many perfect Jellies I could cry.
My picks and honourable mentions are below the read-more (Beware: LONG).
Here are my top 5!
1. Huge Barnabus Pig - If I can buy only one (or even only one Jellycat for the entire rest of the year) this will be the one. I love my Bartholomew and Montgomery in Huge, I collect pig plushies, I was so excited to see the huge coming out. I hope they drop the rest of the series (Archibald and Edmund) in the huge size too, I couldn't resist them. Gotta think of a name that'll work with my Bartholomew and Montgomery (Rumbly Tumbly and Rolly Polly)
2. Floofie St Bernard - Incredible, and they're so big. This is one of my favourite dog breeds. I would looooove to have this one.
3. Viggo Mammoth - They have that droopy/tired eyelid thing I love they're floppy and chunky, and a big size, yes! Love Stellan too.
4. Myrtle Hippo - Chonk! Also the wrinkles by the eye make them look tired/worried which ai find very endearing. Awwwww.
5. The Cuddlebuds - I think I'd have to get them as a set, I couldn't split them up. Their butts appear to be hand sized, they have sleepy eyes ahh yes.

My system for picking is very much about cuddles and adventures (or um, potential adventures since I don't get to go anywhere usually xD). I also limit how many I buy at once, if I can't hug everyone in the order at once then I need to reduce the number. Although it doesn't really come to that these days xD

Honestly Gomez looks fantastic though, tempting even! Little Snake is probably one of the cutest snake plushies I've seen. Timmy the Turtle just makes me giggle, he's an angry looking little guy but I think he's just trying to remember if he knows someone xD)
I don't know release dates or anything, chances are I won't be able to buy right away anyway (I'll be lucky to get anything at all honestly 😅) but I'm really happy with what they'll be releasing! I love seeing other people's new Jellies even if I don't get any myself. It's also way more than I expected but I figure it could be two releases one for Autumn and one for Halloween, maybe three if they drop the Amuseable bags as their own set or something.
I figured the Autumn release would be more of a hit with me, I'm just not a Summer person. I'd say it's like they listened to people's requests for bigger Jellycats but realistically I know they design way in advance. Now, if only I could just come into money and a house somehow xD

El was sitting on the bed, fiddling with a little plush toy they were making for Kane’s birthday. It was a tiny bat, one that was advertised as a halloween decoration, but El decided it would make a mighty fine cuddly toy instead. What use was an adorable plush bat if it merely hung in the window, and one couldn’t even fall asleep hugging it?
They heard the bedroom door open and close, and they smiled to themself. Am’s steps were so characteristically him, it was always easy to tell when he was the one entering the room. Before they could turn around to greet him and possibly ask for a kiss, however, Am already hugged them from behind, burying his face in the crook of their neck. “I’m hungry,” he whined quietly, and El shivered when they felt his hot breath against their skin.
“Well-” Their breath hitched when Am started kissing their neck, seeming unusually needy. “Well, I-”
“Can I? Do I have permission?” Am was merely playing around, taunting them lightheartedly, but El decided this would be the perfect opportunity to turn it around on him and actually get in the role of the mean, dominant partner.
“No.” They gently pushed him away from their neck, turning around on the bed to face him. “You can’t. I don’t feel like it right now.” Surprise crossed Am’s face at the response, but he didn’t argue. El had the control, he’d always told them that when it came to any type of play - and especially when it came to feeding and giving up their blood. “Maybe if you asked nicely, without being so sarcastic about it…”
“Of course. I do apologise.” He knelt down between El’s legs, looking up at them with an expression that immediately made their face heat up. “May I be allowed to feed on your oh so delicious blood, Master? I’m so hungry, and you control my only source of food… Please, have compassion for me.”
El opened their mouth to answer, but nothing came out. God. What was happening? Did he just call them Master? They could feel the blush on their cheeks deepening with each second, all that blood rushing to their head making them dizzy. Am’s smug grin prompted a small whimper, and they turned away, trying to compose themself. “I- well, I, I guess- I guess that’s true, I do control-” They were rudely interrupted by Am pressing a soft kiss to their inner thigh, and they bit their lip, trying to stifle any more embarrassing little sounds.
“What a cruel master you are, leaving your devoted servant to starve like this…” he murmured against their skin, grazing the soft surface with his fangs as he left an entire trail of gentle kisses. “Forcing me to keep looking up at your beautiful, flushed face, left with only the smell of all that blood but no permission to taste it…”
“P-Please-” they whined, unable to keep it together in the slightest. They wanted it. They wanted Am to feed on them, they needed it, they wanted him to pin them down and take their blood. “Please, please…” Their pleading turned into pitiful whimpering as Am pulled them closer by the waist, lifting their shirt and leaving a few kisses on their belly, slowly moving up.
“I can’t tell what you want from me from a few whimpers, Master,” he purred, and El could’ve sworn they were about to pass out. It was too much, it felt so good, they needed more, they needed everything to go back to normal and Am to take full control again.
“Green,” they choked out, settling on that one little word that had always meant ‘please continue, I’m okay, I’m fine with this,’ praying that it’d be enough. Their mind felt so clouded, they couldn’t have possibly been able to say ‘I’m sorry for messing around, I’m sorry for pretending to be anything other than a stupid pet, it was wrong, I was wrong, please forgive me and put me in my place.’ “G-Green, green, god, please, p-please…”
Ambrose chuckled, kissing them on the belly one last time before standing up and pushing El down onto the mattress, pinning their wrists above their head. “Does that mean I have permission now?” they asked again, smirking, forcing El’s head to the side to expose their neck without waiting for an answer. “Oh, I forgot… It’s not as if I need to ask permission from my own little bloodbag.”

I can imagine baby Eddie being really obsessed with cuddly stuffed animals and plushes. Even though he always presents himself as 'dark' and 'alternative', when he's little that completely goes out the window, and he's choosing the brightest, cutest, rainbow coloured plushes he can find
