Am I the only who thinks that's absurd the way Peeta is being portrayed and treated in the first two books? Come on, in Catching Fire the games has just started and he was stuck because he couldn't swim, which resulted in him needing someone's help to get him on the land. Shortly after, he was flung and almost died, then when the night came around, and all the horror that it involved, we could see him limping because of the previous incidents, which is totally understandable, but still annoying.

It's like he's not being given the chance to defend himself or Katniss. He's just being thrown around and toyed, which is heartbreaking because he has so much wasted potential. To make matters worse, him being hijacked was the last straw for me and it opened a pipe that I'd thought I didn't have.

I'm bawling my eyes out right now :)

To sum this up, my reading experience is being sullied for Peeta's unfair treatment. He's the only thing that my brain craves and clocks all the time. It's even THAT bad that sometimes game-changing events are going on and the first thing that comes up in my mind is how Peeta's going to be affected by them.

I'm losing my mind at this point.
