Could you speak more on annex the ninth (intern sixth swip swap)? im insanely curious both on what an intern the sixth swap implies, and what swip is
swip swaps just my word for turning the tables djdjskfnkd annex the ninth is an au where, upon realization that the ninth has been inactive and in obscurity, they have been assumed to be nearly dead and are forced to become an annex of one of the larger houses
in gtn harrow mentioned she refuses to let the ninth become an annex to the third or fifth (due to them being large powerhouses)- however if this was the case, i personally believe her rage would be so large that she would defect from the houses with gideon in tow (long story) altogether- this is the cora au, which you did not ask about but i felt was important context as to why im having the sixth do it
ANOTHER reason why the sixth is annexing the ninth is due to their outstanding problem of a low genetic diversity count- even if the ninth is made of old people (which the sixth wouldnt have known about until its too late) vat births DO EXIST! which is a strong factor for why they might get it second! ANYWAY. in this time gideon and harrow are around 15-16, which makes cam and pal around 20. this all culminates in gideon having a GREAT TIME‼️ she has FRIENDS she can do SWORDS and she visits harrowhark nonagesimus at the end of the day, who is having an awful time ❤️ shes bedridden in the medical ward for at least a full year because shes so fucking mad about the situation that she keeps trying to attack people about it. dont even let her near palamedes shes going to try and kill him

Indigenous Hawaiians really had a good system going: wake up reaaally early and do most of the days work while it's cool and by the time the sun was up and it got hot the work was done and you're free to surf and socialize. I wish the white people realized they themselves could work smarter and not harder and get time to relax. Instead of calling Hawaiians lazy (and being genocidal about it)
#Ik this happened in most if not all tropical regions that got colonized#they were so pissed that these 'lazy' people got all sorts of fruit and natural bounty 'handed to them'#when those indigenous people were just working before the colonizers woke up and felt no need to kill themselves in midday heat#Which is what's natural for an apex predator: lazing around#Like u see lions in big cuddle puddles during the hottest part of the day. And they have the privilege of laziness by being the top predato#Idk if lions have a specific time they hunt but ik they will hunt at night when people can't observe them#Also Europeans failed to recognize indigenous agriculture and the /purposeful / cultivation of helpful plants (done w/out clearing the land#And even if they were only foraging. Like. If you love the earth and care for it (and not clear it) the earth will love you back idk#Gah! It's just like we coulda eradicated capitalism in its cradle if Euroamericans werent so arrogant and sure their way of life was correc#Like what if they were explorers and not conquistadors and colonizers. And there was a true cultural exchange#Would it have been better if the Europeans never crossed the ocean (even if they weren't there to colonize)? yeah probably#Like while the disease thing wasn't on purpose (initially) Europeans did inadvertently kill a lot of people bc they had no immunity#But I also acknowledge the human desire to explore and see what's out there#But I wish it was like#Europeans: here's some horses and metal tools#Indigenous people: thanks. Here's a way of life more in harmony with nature and an understanding that we're part of the ecosystem#Europeans: oh cool let me bring these ideas back to Europe. Maybe we won't deforest all of England#(I say Europeans but eventually when Canada and America became independent entities they also were responsible for these things)#Capitalism#capitalism is hell#anti capitalism#Colonization#colonialism#colonial violence#Imperialism#conquistador#age of exploration

Steddie music cultural exchange headcanon #2
Steve doesn't really like most of Eddie's music, but won't tell him to change it. Though there is one artist he actually genuinely likes.
The Prince of Darkness himself, Ozzie Osborne.
Its not just because Eddie compared he and Steve, but rather that he actually paid attention to the man and he reminds him so much of Eddie.
The hair, the style, the presence, all so very much alike. So he starts listening to Ozzie on his own and finds he actually likes his music. The instrumentals aren't as harsh and grating as some metal can be, Ozzie's voice is pretty interesting, and the lyrics are pretty well thought out.
War Pigs is his favorite Black Sabbath song, and Crazy Train is his favorite solo song right up until Don't Wanna Stop is released years and years later
Eddie could not be more pleased about this.

Okay so can we all agree that the ABB have a stupid name?
In my Capes in the Dark campaign, I’m gonna re-flavor it to be similar to the original with lung targeting an ethnic group except make him only target the Japanese resident's, because the pan-Asian gang idea is so stupid (like I live in Taiwan, depending on what you believe in, both Chinese and Japanese people could be seen as hostile entity) Anyways the point of this post, does anyone have ideas for a new name for the ABB

oh yeah I was also talking to my friend about the whole hockey situation and it was interesting to hear the differences between jp fan culture and en fan culture especially with rpf lol. apparently shipping from live action media is considered rpf and is strictly separated from shipping anime/manga characters? to the point it wasn’t on pixiv, you had to go to a separate site for it (which I think is different now). apparently that was a huge culture shock for her with en fandom lol. she didn’t know about bandom tinhatting so I got to explain that to her (sorry bud)

General Post; Lost in Translation: Embracing the Comedy of Learning Portuguese
Years ago, I shared with my dad my eagerness to learn Portuguese, and during our trip to Lisbon, he gifted me a book. It’s a bit bittersweet that I can’t update him on finally cracking open that book after it spent far too long gathering dust. But let’s not make this a sad post, because I know my dad would beam with pride knowing I’ve embarked on this language-learning journey. I’ve decided to…
