"you know how i just have that woman, delilah, who pops in my head? and she like, murdered me? and she's like blaugh im gonna get you." – laudna, explaining a perfectly normal part of herself
Having finished the 2nd episode of the Briarwood arc, I am still bothered by Sylas' approach to attacking Vax.
Now, maybe Sylas has a legitimate use for his technique elsewhere, e.g., maybe he's the one who does the cooking at home or something. (He's a vampire, so I wouldn't expect him to eat, but... I don't know his life. Dude loves his wife--maybe he cooks for her.) However...
If you're juicing a lemon, then yes, you want to kind of manhandle it a bit first. Roll it around, pummel it a bit, etc. Break up those little membranes containing the juice so you can get a lot out once you cut into it.
If you're trying to get blood out of a half-elf, do not start by punching him in the fucking gut. That is counterproductive. Unlike a lemon, his blood is contained in a circulatory system that comes with handy little straws built right in. All you have to do is puncture the right spot. You break his membranes, and you're just gonna make a mess and let that tasty blood start leaking into other areas where you can't get at it.
Sylas Briarwood had a Capri Sun walk right into his hands, and he tried to juice it like a lemon.
FEARNE’S PARENTS ARE ALIVE AND WELL AND ONLY A FEW DAYS OUT AND THAT WHOLE MESSAGE INTERACTION HAD ME AT THE EDGE OF MY SEAT AND THE WAY FEARNE WAS SO EXCITED AND BLABBERING AND DUSK ANDBSJNSN ABDJ K NA
There are lots of different kinds of love, and until Dusk shows up, it doesn’t matter which kind it is that Laudna feels for Imogen. Set shortly after episode 25.
I feel like Campaign 3 is finally hitting it’s stride, like the beginning is a little bumpy and imperfect as the team gets together and we get to know them, both Campaign 1 and Campaign 2 were like that where like yes we were having fun but we weren’t quite In It yet and I just feel like Campaign 3 has finally gotten to the point where everything’s comfortable and set and we’re ready for things to start going wild
Listen I prepared myself for episode 26, but I was NOT prepared to already be crying in episode 25 over that heart-wrenching leaving Kiri behind scene omg 😭😭
Only 45 minutes into Vox Machina's Episode 25 (2nd of the Briarwood arc), I swear Liam has already done a speedrun through the first three stages of grief to land squarely in "depression"... and Vax is currently only unconscious, not dead.
