Beggars Would Ride by Tiamatv (Explicit, 118k)
You had me at Aladdin AU. When Dean Winchester is caught stealing, he's given one chance for freedom. Go into the Cave of Wonders, grab the amulet, and get out. Things don't go as planned. Now he's got a moody ancient genie to contend with. But maybe he can use up two of his wishes and then grant the genie his wish: to be free. What could go wrong?
This fic is an absolutely delight. I laughed so hard, especially at the fun ways Tiamatv played with the SPN canon and the Disney movies. But beyond the humor is some really fantastic world building and a beautiful story about finding your way when you feel trapped by life.
Genie Cas is very cute and grumpy and sassy, and it's fun to watch him start to care. And Dean has so much heart it will make you ache. Sam and Jess are disgustingly cute but both are also whip smart and fun. And Jo (Jess’ sister in this) is the knife girl of my dreams.
This one is hard to put down.
Tourbillon Dreams by kayliemalinza @kayliemalinza (Mature, 40k)
Dean uses Bobby's life insurance proceeds to buy a hoarders house stuffed to the brim with cursed and haunted objects. But when he finds a clock that also happens to be an angel, things take an unexpected turn.
It sounds cracky and there is some delightful humor, but this fic packs a beautiful emotional punch. Dean is in his peak caretaking, competency mode and Clockstiel is adorable and entranced with Dean in a way that is just immensely readable.
There is something starkly gorgeous about the way Dean and Cas are physically so different and yet they find each other in meaningful and beautiful ways.
Love Is a Meat Loaf Song by followyourenergy @followyourenergy (Explicit, 68k)
A reimagining of canon where Dean is never saved and becomes a demon. He's bored waiting for the apocalypse when he happens upon a certain blue eyed seraph and they decide to work together.
This fic has all the delightful sassiness you expect of Demon!Dean and especially when he spends time with his frenemy, Meg. It also has just absolutely amazing angel lore and a deep dive into Cas and his trauma. All of this is wrapped up in a soft love story about two beings finding each other and seeing each other and breaking down each other's walls.
It's the entire package of funny, sincere and romantic.
Where there is Darkness by quiettewandering @wanderingcas (Explicit, 91k)
I may have popped this on at some point when it was a WIP but I have to renew my recommendation if so. Dean and Sam are lighthouse keepers, but Dean keeps driving off the third member of their team until Cas shows up. But will they be able to overcome their past to carve out happiness?
This Dean and Cas are so delicious. I am deeply fond of them both. They are fighting against so much baggage and yet they find in each other something so special. Sammy is also perfectly oblivious in the best way. It's hard to explain what makes this fic special except that it is so engrossing, you will be slamming next chapter
Valley of God by ValleyDean @valleydean (Mature, 145k)
I know. I KNOW. The MCD tag is daunting in a fic like this but I promise that while it is accurate, then ending is softer than you think and it's really the way it should end.
So there are a few things about this fic that make it absolutely delicious. First, it really delves into Cas’ trauma in a really gorgeous way. We don’t have enough fics that look at his angel trauma (we can't for me tbh) and this one uses a religious cult situation to delve into it. Second, Dean and Cas in this fic are just so messy and delightful. Dean wants to believe that Cas is good so badly. Cas wants to protect Dean the same way. It's crunchy. Finally, the atmosphere is amazing. It's creepy. It gets under your skin.
Is it dark? Absolutely. But it's also amazing.
The Darkest Sunshine by StarlightOfFandoms @starlightoffandoms (Explicit, 35k)
If murder husbands is your thing, this one is a delight of a fic. Dean Winchester is the Righteous Man serial killer, a notorious murderer who goes after monsters (in human form). People who are guilty of abhorrent crimes. But when he goes after Cas, a professor believed to have murdered several students, he discovers an innocent man being framed. Together with Cas and his team, Dean decides to find the real killer. He just has to pretend to be Cas’ boyfriend until they succeed.
The fake dating trope in a murder husbands fic was a total delight. So was the fact that Dean doesn't work alone and has a full support system to go after the worst of the worst. It's an intriguing concept done really well. Dean in this fic is an interesting blend of sociopathic tendencies, a strong sense of justice, and a willingness to do anything for those he is loyal to. Cas is intrigued by Dean and accepts him as he is. It's a really great combination.
A Weed In Any Other Place by VioletHaze @scones-and-texting-and-murder (Explicit, 63k)
On the other end of the spectrum is this fluffy rom com. There is some angst, but most of it is soft, sweet falling in love along with supportive friends and family.
Cas is a writer. Well, Cas had a book published and now he's desperately trying to write his second while convincing himself the first was probably just a fluke. Writers block is a bitch. That is until his car breaks down and he ends up at a little shop called Winchester and Son. By some weird trick of fate, it's exactly what he needs. He has the most productive day in years sitting in their waiting room. So he comes back, and keeps coming back. The extremely cute mechanic with green eyes doesn't hurt.
Cas is a disaster at social situations in a relatable way. Dean is struggling to put away some bad lessons from his dad so that he can find what he wants instead of what his father pushed on him. Both have a lovely support system. Charlie, in particular, makes me deeply fond in this fic.

My lovely Tumblr wife is back at it, writing the most delightfully chaotic fic based on Misha's prompt awhile back for President Cas and Fast Food Janitorial Staff Dean Winchester. It's a Cinderella story and in equal parts hilarious and adorable. Also it is a Dean-saster/Cas-tastrophe pairing which is always fun plus there's a 2 person love triangle situation.
Dean's stuck in a miserable job with his only escape being his love of How I Met Your Mother and the Tumblr blog he devotes to the fandom. But when a handsome man walks in one night after hours, things heat up. Too bad the man in question is actually the President.
It's a romp and a love letter to fandom.

for the character asks, Melian!
You and @undercat-overdog both sent me this one! And it's a good one. A complicated character I've thought a lot about and still don't feel much closer to understanding.
Sexuality Headcanon: idk, pansexual I guess? she does not understand this question.
Gender Headcanon: Ainu (Generally fem-presenting. Sometimes tree-presenting, bird-presenting, etc.)
A ship: Not to be boring, but Thingol. It's a fascinating relationship to explore - just, WHY? I interpret their relationship as ultimately very tragic. I believe she had good intentions and did really love him, in her eldritch way, and it just goes so badly.
A BROTP A Gen relationship: Daeron. [put this explanation under a cut because it got a bit long - how shocking]
A NOTP A rarepairing: Eöl. I have this one cracky theory that she met Eöl before she met Thingol and it didn't work out. An unrequited situation would be interesting here also.
A random headcanon: I think she feels a lot of guilt for her unique 'intervention' in the affairs of the Children largely failing. Also I think the starry ceiling of Menelrond changes based on what's going on in her mind.
General Opinion: I find her the most sympathetic of the Ainur, whom I tend to side-eye quite intensely. [Also putting the rest of this below the cut].
A BROTP A Gen relationship: Daeron. Because:

[Daeron] it was that made music for the dance and song of Luthien, before Beren came to Doriath; and he had loved her, and set all his thought of her in his music. He became the greatest of all the minstrels of the Elves east of the Sea, named even before Maglor son of Feanor. (Of Beren and Luthien)
I know the implication of the last is that Daeron became great because of his love for Lúthien (I want to talk about this so bad right now but focus!) but I think it's no coincidence that the greatest elf minstrel ever had the goddess of song for a queen.
I have written their relationship as a complicated mentor-student type of thing with a maternal figure flavouring. My hc is that he's a bit of a prodigy from birth but Melian picks him out when she first shows up with Thingol. She takes him under her wing and turns him into a supercharged Song-wielder. More supercharged, perhaps, than a poor Child of Eru can handle. Oops?
General Opinion: I love how she interacts with the Children in a totally unique and intimate way; I love that she messes up; I love that she is the only Ainu to procreate (excluding Ungoliant maybe) and the tragedy of a being older than Arda, who will exist beyond Arda, losing her child; I love that she holds it down in Beleriand, defying Morgoth's power, through the whole First Age while all the other Ainur are, at best, sending dreams on streams and, at worst, binge-watching the Doom of the Noldor from on high.
Oh! And I love the stuff in NoMe about her being the leader of the guardians sent to Cuiviénen - the others being the Maiar who would later be the Istari (!!). I think it says a lot about how Tolkien saw her character that he gives her that role. Melian and Olórin would be another amazing relationship to explore.

What is the weirdest or crackiest writing prompt you can't bring yourself to write but that keeps coming back and haunting you?
My current one is replacing Daphne with Lisa where Dean and Meg track down Cas fake married to Lisa for health benefits after they met at the hospital (where she volunteers with people struggling with amnesia like she believes she had post mind wipe). They then pretend to be a couple to spy on Cas. Chaos ensues.
do you take money? because i am perfectly willing to pay you a cash donation (at your discretion) to write this fic. i would love to read this. this is absolutely amazing. please take my money.

in comparison, my cracky idea is WORSE than this. but it also involves lisa! wherein, after swan song, cas has JUST enough grace to heal dean and bobby, and then he turns human. and dean, being a good friend, takes him along to lisa's with him, because what else is he going to do? leave a bro to starve?
so dean, cas, and lisa all live together, along with ben who now has two new dads, navigating this weird relationship, where dean doesn't really want to be with lisa. and lisa isn't really sure how to connect with dean. and cas isn't sure how to be human. and ben wants to get his algebra homework finished. and where the neighbors make catty comments about how lisa can't be satisfied with ONE gorgeous man; she has to have TWO. and meanwhile, there's a whole civil war in heaven that someone has to deal with.

I have a bunch, but the ones I thought of first are any combination of Gaara, Rock Lee, and Sakura. I like the dynamics between all of them. There's a lot of healing that can they can help each other with, plus their personalities are all very different which makes things fun (ex. super stoic Gaara with super energetic Lee).
(And yes that does include all three of them together, although that's something I have yet to see in fic or fanart for some reason.)

I don't think so? Closest thing I can think of is the Chojuro/Rock Lee fic I wrote for a request.

Yeah, Warrior Cats.
This was waaaaay back when I was originally on Tumblr 10+ years ago, but I basically made a post expressing I didn't like a particular character. (Jayfeather, in case anyone cares)
You would think I murdered someone's mom or something because I got so much hate from that post. I had people actually threaten to kill me over it.
I already was falling out of love with those books, but that sealed the deal.

Hmm…my first thought is Sakura. It reads like her trying to get over Sasuke with her new love.

(3) Carmina Mora (The Artist). She's a talented artist and had the courage to speak out against a corrupt government. Plus she's hot.

(1) Anya Forger. Literally the best child in anime. She's the cutest thing ever, and she has a good heart. I hope my eventual child is like her (minus the telepathy).

Kazuma Asogi (The Great Ace Attorney) - Wonderful well written character that I got attached to quickly, I won't spoil TGAA, but the only time I cried in TGAA was because of him aofbwoifbwos
Edelgard Von Hresvelg (Fire Emblem Three Houses) - She is a mixed feeling in the fandom, but I cannot stop thinking about her. Like Kazuma, so well written!! Love her design, love her personality and she is so fun to analyze!!

Besties, I can’t believe I made this milestones! A huge thank you to each and everyone of you that follow this cluster fuck of a blog. I love you and i appreciated each and everyone of you, even if we haven’t spoken a single word to each other! That being said, I have met amazing people on this hellsite, writers and readers alike. I'm actually really really adoring the Yuri on Ice! fandom. The show was "born to make history" so there are a lot of wonderful feelz associated with a canon-confirmed M/M love story. (My friends in Inuyasha are wonderful and amazing, yes, but... well, certain events have happened that have made the general fandom a much more fraught place, and that makes me really sad.)
E: Have you added anything stupid/cracky/hilarious to your fandom, if so, what?
HAHA. I've not been around anything but Inuyasha long enough to make a mark but... in Inuyasha... well. I blame @kalcia.
U: What are your favorite male/female ships?
OH MANNNN. Okay. <breathes> InuKag, SessKagu, SessKag, SuiKik, KogKag. Inuyasha has so many wonderful characters that it's just fun to think about how to make them fall in love. Multishipping trash FTW!
T: What are your favorite male/male ships or female/female ships?
So before Yuri on Ice! I don't think I had a decent answer to this. For some reason, M/M shipping for me needs some canon support (even just a hint), and when there's not there my brain goes ?????? Well then I met the wonderful Victor Nikiforov and Yuri Katsuki, and I can't get enough of them. For F/F? I love making Kikyo a sapphic queen. KagKik is glorious and wonderful, and I had a ball writing KaguKik. Will I do that again? Hell yes.
R: A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships.
Let's go for one in Sk8 the Infinity, because I swear in Inuyasha, any ship I sail seems to have a ton of wonderful multishippers partying it up on the Lido deck with me. I ship... Cherry/Kiriko. Yup, the AI skater with the hard-nosed career detective. <hides> because I had a story idea I wanted to do that works really well with them as the leads.

"I Want It All" by Queen, for no other reason than because Queen is amazing and it's the most recent Queen song I listened to.
HMM. Ship ship ship... KogKag. There's something so confident about the song, about living life to the fullest and reaching higher higher higher. It's a song of Kagome storming into Koga's bedroom and starting to kiss him and then both of them letting the moment take them in bacchanalian pleasure. No insecurities, no worries about what tomorrow looks like, just... living it up for the day. It's a very Koga attitude, and one I could see Kagome really enjoying too.

1. what song makes you feel better?
Hmm, that really depends on the day. Recently, it was Salvatore by Lana del Rey (I don’t get the reason why either lmao), but I'd also say Vienna by Ben Platt (it's a cover from the Billy Joel song; I think the song is a reminder everyone needs sometimes <3). Also - and @veterveter is to blame (thank is a better word, really<3) for this - Timantit on ikuisia by Cheek (and I also love Sanni’s cover a lot as well), it's such a catchy song even if I don't understand the words and only get the general idea because I looked up a translation on the internet lol. Also, anything by MIKA or ABBA always cheers me up as well.
3. what's your favorite candle scent?
Ohh that is a good question, but I rarely have any candles because my cat jumps on tables quite regularly and I think it's quite dangerous if we just have candles on there with her walking around so close to them. Hence I don't have much knowledge about scented candles, but, I'd probably say anything with vanilla, anything sweet and spicy (like amber or cinnamon) or citrus.
5. who do you feel most you around?
Err, I guess at home? Because we all share the same shitty (amazing) sense of humour. People are always confused when they come over for the first time because we're constantly 'roasting' each other (but in a good way, that is).
Also, with friends when we're meeting up and just doing fun games and exchanging stories from what recently happened in our lives because we don’t see each other very often nowadays.
And then again, on this website talking to my friends, as well, because I can just unapologetically scream about fandom here 25/7 and I have a gut feeling my family and friends wouldn't appreciate it if I spent hours ranting about berlermo to them lmaoo
10. what's something you're excited for?
Hmm, there’s many different things, so I’ll just choose three ‘smaller’ ones. I have this book I have to read for uni, that I actually wanted to read for a while (21 lessons for the 21st century by Yuval Noah Harari) so I'm looking forward to reading that.
Futhermore, many Covid measures have been lifted so the country is opening up again and I'm excited to go to the cinema and see the King's Man once I have the time.
Also, I'm excited for the three WIPs I'm currently working on even if one of them is just... crack (it literally is a berlermo married at first sight AU and I love it *because* it is so cracky).
12. how are you?
Good, actually, and even better now you sent me this cute ask <3 So good that I have an exam next week and I'm not stressed at all, but actually... interested in the subject?? I need to do *a lot* of catching up (I only watched 1 out of 5 really long lectures thus far) but I’m not even dreading to do so, so this is new to me lol. I actually have *faith* in my lastminute approach so that’s good.
13. what's your comfort food?
Anything chocolate covered: miny pretzels, peanuts, raisins, dates, everything. Chocolate dates are literally one of the best things I’ve had *ever*. Also, chocolate cake hmmm (though I don’t eat that often). Furthermore, salted peanuts. And the pancakes my mom always makes.

(i was not supposed to watch this drama bc of the whole stalker trope in it. but somehow i was intrigued by the other story in this (fake dating!!) and bc of that, i’ve binged the existing episodes in the last two days. i think the last ep will drop on monday? i simultaneously hate and love this and there are so many thing in this that i would like to burn but then some small things that just make me smile so widely. also, i would die for teng muren. not that surprising tbh bc with his looks he reminds me of liu chang)

Summary:
When Sue catches Will doing the dirty with a student in S3, he goes to prison. Here is Sue, Holly, Emma, Finn and Rachel’s perspectives on the incident from when it occurs and later on in life.
1. Sue Sylvester:
The day Sue caught Will doing the dirty with a student will be imprinted in her mind forever. She never liked him and always wanted a chance to see him gone from her life forever, but that was traumatising. She has seen crazy things in her 25 years on earth, from tortoises mating in Africa to Bon Jovi’s ass when he mooned the stage a few years ago. Nothing haunts her nightmares like Will Schuster though.
Her feud against the Glee Club has already come to a standstill this year, so she just finds herself feeling sorry for those theatre losers. She uses her evil vendetta against Figgins for the second time to make him email Holly Holliday until she answers. The Glee Club needs a new leader.
2. Holly Holliday:
When Holly gets a frantic email from Principal Figgins that they needed an emergency replacement for Glee Club she’s relaxing in a villa in Bail. She doesn’t want to go back to US winter but when she gets 10 more in the same day she catches the next plane to Dayton, Ohio. She calls Sue when she lands in the airport, hoping to get more information from a friend. When she finds out that Will is in jail she is shocked, but lets it roll off her.

After working with the Glee club for years she realises there is benefits to staying in one place. She loves coaching kids, helping them perform to the best of their ability. Consistently winning competitions is just the icing on the cake, but the students win for themselves, not for her.
3. Emma Pillsbury:
Emma sits in her therapist’s chair crying. Her fiancé is in county jail awaiting trial on child endangerment and sexual activity with a minor. Her therapist is talking about not blaming her lack of sexual drive and trying to move on from Will. She cannot remember a time she didn’t love Will and thinks that she always will.

Through months and months of therapy she goes through the stages of anger, grief, annoyance, disgust and finally lands on something resembling peace.
Years later she goes to Klaine’s and Brittana’s wedding and gets talking with Sheldon Beiste. She finds love with an amazing man and Will hardly crosses her mind, and never with affection.
4. Finn Hudson:
Finn is starting his first day of teaching after graduating from college. He’s proud to be back at McKinley, teaching Physical Education and captaining the Football team.
When he walks down the halls after finishing his day, he hears the sounds of singing coming from the choir room. He stands at the door until the song is complete and then enters. The students are unrecognisable to him on his first day, but Miss Holiday and the atmosphere of the choir room makes him feel like he’s home. He introduces himself and watches as someone with big high school Rachel energy start getting angry that he interrupted her chance to sing a solo.
It takes until he is home and grabbing a beer to watch the game to even think about Mr Schuster and it’s only a passing thought. He finds himself thinking about his brother Kurt, his ex-girlfriend Rachel and the songs sung and memories made in that room. The game becoming background noise for his trip down memory lane.
5. Rachel Berry:
Rachel is annoyed. Mr Schuster used to give her all the solos and now that Miss Holiday is here apparently other people deserve competition solos too. This is her last year of school, of Glee Club, she is the LEADER. After arguing with Miss Holiday all day for competition solos she follows her home to try another time. When she gets kicked out of Glee for a week and even Kurt doesn’t want to sit with her for lunch she apologises and gets let back in after the week is up.

When she has two children of her own she realises the problems with her own teenage years. She has learnt to share and be gracious once she left high school and entered the Broadway scene. Teaching her children that ‘sharing is caring’ and watching them learn the power of working together young makes her so proud. She just wants her kids to be loved by all and learn lessons she learnt later in life as early as possible.

Just letting you all know right away, I’m cheating and doing 6. Because I don’t want to choose between the last two. Listen from oldest to latest.
1. Shades of Green - Witten for the RNM Remix this year and it was a remix of Shades of Blue by @unbreakablejemmasimmons. Probably one of the most hopeful fics I have ever written, I loved the way it flowed and ebbed, and it worked perfectly with the original in my mind.
2. When You Walked In (the air went out) - Alex is a vampire and, being an alien, Michael's blood is like catnip to him. First of all stealing the title from the song from True Blood made me giggle endlessly. As did the ballsnifing which made Alex hi. Cracky, angst and kinda fluffy. I wrote tidbits on this for ages before it just suddenly unfurled in my head and became what it is today.
3. Could’ve Had a Family - The one where Max and Isobel tell Michael the secret the’ve been keeping from him. This is angsty even for me, and I know I have made many tears fall because of it, but by god I love it. I wrote this when I needed to get emotions out of my head (it got posted on the 29th of March *cough*) and I was so frustrated and angry that I took it out on the one character I knew could handle it, Michael. It became a story of loss, but also about love.
4. not complete without you - Where Nicky loses his immortality before Joe and they live out the rest of his life together. My most popular fic to date, and all at the fault of @andrea-lyn who gave me this fantastic idea that she didn’t want to write herself. Well I took to the idea like a duck to water and just submerged myself in it. It’s brutal, painful, but in my opinion oh so beatiful. They do go together in the end, I did not seperate them so I wouldn’t get killed.
5. You Take Me Home To Glory’s Trone - TOG Pacific Rim AU co-written with @andrea-lyn. This was so much fun! Immortals manning great big machines to fight Kaiju, me getting to angst as Booker, Manda’s exceptional writing alongside my not so shabby one, what a joy this was. And the end result was amazing, a story I reread often myself.
6. i know he knows he’s killing me for mercy - The Malec Hannibal AU wriiten for the RNM BigBang with @winged-fool. I think both of us knew that when we started this it would be a creepy, uncomfortable, dark AU but did that stop us? No. I wrote the prologue from Dr. Michael Guerin’s POV of the night they killed his sister, and from then on out both of us knew that we would do everything we could to pay homage to Hannibal, Malex and The Finer Things Club. This was a labor of love, hard work and murderous intent, heh.

So in case it isn’t obvious, I’ve fallen hard for a new/old obsession at the moment. (New as in new to me, old as in why-the-hell-do-I-always-get-suckered-into-decades-old-fandoms-so-late-in-the-game?) It’s Gorillaz, specifically Murdoc/2D (2Doc) and I’m in utter love with this true flaming dumpster of a ’ship.
I never paid that much attention to Gorillaz before--always thought it was kind of weird how this was this cartoon/”fake” band with such a huge fandom. (And I’ve rarely if ever gotten into cartoon/animated fandoms before.) But I listened to some of the Song Machine tracks as they came out as they featured artists I love (Robert Smith, Peter Hook) and the music + animation + then the total crackiness of the band’s “lore” suckered me in. Now I’ve been diving deep and am amazed at all the gorgeous fan art and really good, long stories to read...I think I could be in for a good long stay here and can’t wait to start writing some stuff myself (once I get through some exchange commitments and feel comfortable with the backstories.)
Murdoc is absolutely terrible and I love him and I don’t know why.
Anyway I sort of am posting this as a warning because I know that as huge as 2Doc fandom is there’s also a lot of hate for it/those who find it awful and abusive. Yes it is problematic as hell but that’s what I love about it and find so fascinating. So if it bothers you, just know there’s a lot more of it coming this way so you may wish to look away.
In the meantime enjoy Murdoc teaching us the alphabet.

1. A Trail of Rose Petals
This was one of my earlier fics of 2020 and was my first time participating in a themed ship week. I remember enjoying writing this one because I had to come up with the little poems Chat made and look up all the flower meanings in order to make it all work together. All in all a fun fic.
2. Midnight Date
I remember loving this one because it was one of the first fics I wrote based on some of the instagram posts (pre screenshots). Looking through it gives me cringes because it was definitely pre me learning about the google doc shortcut for AO3. But hey just goes to show ya i’ve grown
3. See You Again
Okay this was my first time writing a Kagami centric fic and I actually liked how it turned out. It was a lot of fun and probably just one of my most favorite fics overall from 2020.
4. Roommates
This is on here because somehow it did the best of most of my one shots (at least I think it did). I’m not really sure what made this so different from all my others, but I definitely enjoyed how I could mess around with crack in this fic and just have Adrien and Marinette be such loveable idiots.
5. I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You
wow I had a lot of fics that were just song titles huh. This was probably my favorite fic of 2020 because of luxy. I had so much fun writing it and being super silly with XY. I really said I can be as cracky as I want so let’s go ham. It’s also the first multichapter that I finished in a long time so I am super proud of that too.
6. Melody? Too Cliche!
This was a commission but I’m so glad I got to do it because I love the idea of the characters having kids and XY and Luka adopting a child just makes me so emo I couldn’t help but letting em have a lil girl. plus @bugaboo-n-bananoir‘s headcannons helped a lot with just thinking about: THEM.
7. 3 Superheroes and an XY
All I remember from this fic was that it was a commission and that @chatnoirinette and @landturtlealyce among others “convinced” me to write in Luka and XY kissing in a bathroom. In all honesty, I just love writing luxy because those idiots get to be idiots all day long.
8. I Want to Say I’m in Love
This is on here because it was a fun collab with @lesslinette and I love her so freaking much! This collab was so much fun and I enjoyed it so much and I believe it is my longest one shot yet, so very proud of how this turned out.

I just realized I’ve been writing fanfic for so long that I can fucking timeline the eras of my writing based on my hyperfixations slgnvaeprngerpogm
Ancient Era: 2013-2014
fandom- Fun. (the band)
I was 12 when I first started writing. None of these stories exist anymore. I deleted them all at LEAST 6 or 7 years ago from my Wattpad. Cringe as can possibly be. Stories about myself out the ass. Didn’t know what p*dophilia was. Mixed perspectives. (A/N Just go with it!). Only wrote bc I wanted to be cool. Only wrote to include my favorite songs in any way I could (sound familiar omg). Truly a horrible time to be alive. I was the youngest in this fandom. Everyone else was like 14. It was pretty bad, but not “sold to One Direction” bad, considering that’s what everyone else was doing at the time.
Renaissance Era: 2014-2016
fandom: Doctor Who
This was when I started taking writing seriously at the age of 12. All of these stories still exist on my Wattpad, but there are some things I’ve never posted. This was also when I started writing to cope/writing for only myself. I still love my ideas for these, and Doctor Who really helped itty bitty teenager me in ways you can’t imagine. I could go on for days on how it changed my life completely and made me who I am today. I was truly in another universe in this era. Made stories about OCs (and OCs in general) for the first time. Amazing ideas out the ass all the time. I am still in love with a lot of things I came up with in this time. Oddly mature but still blatantly teenage. Tried to be extremely historically accurate (which I still try to be).
Bronze Era: 2016
fandom: Supernatural
I had a lot of ideas with potential, but never executed them completely due to lack of motivation. I still think about my only Supernatural OC often. I wasn’t interested in the show for long, which is another reason why there aren’t many stories from this time. Things were more in my head than in writing in this era. Call this the “thinking practice” era. I got better at developing ideas. These stories still exist on my Wattpad. Some things I wrote may have been lost in the Great Tumblr Purge of 2018. May they rest in peace.
Silver Era: 2016-2018
fandom: Star Trek
A sad era. Very few stories, several lost in the Great Tumblr Purge of 2018. What I lacked in content in this era I made up for in practice. I improved a lot in this era as far as descriptions and omniscience goes. Creating an atmosphere began to come naturally during this time; it was basically an exercise era; a ‘maturity in typing’ era. There wasn’t much posting, but drafts helped me improve and spend more time thinking about the worlds and versions of characters I created. One of the greatest things I thought I ever wrote was lost in the Great Tumblr Purge of 2018 just days after I finished it. I still have about 55% of it that was backed up, but I haven’t been able to try and recreate it ever since. May it rest in peace. I made an AO3 in this era. Stories are on there. I stopped posting on Wattpad in this era.
Golden Era- 2018-present
fandom: Def Leppard
Fuck yeah. It all started with a dumb cracky fic. Yearning to be in the past and be in love continues to constantly fuel ideas for stories. And surprise surprise, I still try to shove my fav songs wherever I can- because that’s the other thing that continues to constantly fuel ideas for stories. I started doing palette cleansers and drabbles and illustrations and just- I can’t put into words how much I love writing what I write now. I’ve written more than 100k words in Def Leppard fanfic and that continues to go up by the day. I’ve finally mastered how to effectively project the exact emotion I want readers to feel into words, and I truly think my style became one of a kind in this time. I guess you can say I turned into a romantic writer rather than just a dramatic/emotional writer. It was in this era that people actually started paying attention to my stories and appreciating my writing/giving me a real amount of feedback for the first time. All stories are available on Tumblr, some on AO3. The “colorful” era.

Writing my own lil reviews for the Christmas eps bc I watched them all recently and bc tis the season
A Very Glee Christmas - I actually really like this one. Which I’m sure is surprising since it’s pretty Brittany centric. But this is the first time she’s believed in some magical nonsense so the idea hasn’t worn thin yet. I think it’s cute she believes in Santa. I love her scene with Coach Beiste and with Sue. I love that everyone is so determined to keep her believing in Santa. From going with her to the mall, to convincing Coach Beiste to play the part. There’s a couple of scenes that talk about the magic of Christmas and how it felt on the first Christmas you remember as a kid, and it makes me feel sad in a nostalgic way. The music is mostly forgettable, and obviously BICO is the standout. The Klaine in this episode was brief but iconic, and a big high point of the ep. I also really love Last Christmas. Oh I also really like Rachel this ep. She’s all about keeping everyone’s spirits up and goes out of her way to (try to) get a new tree for the choir room when theirs is ruined. It’s just a nice and good and fun ep and hardly anything about it really bothers me
Extraordinary Merry Christmas - I have waaay more problems with this one, but it’s my favorite solely bc of the Christmas special in the middle. It’s so cheesy and campy and fun. Every song in this episode is just fucking amazing except Blue Christmas but it is a tad bit song heavy for me. And Santa Baby is the one they decide to cut?? Ok... They also cut The Box Scene which fucking suuucks and pisses me off. Also Rachel is at her most insufferable this ep. Which is such a letdown and feels like a giant leap back compared to how she was last Christmas. Preaching about the true meaning of Christmas and Jesus > consumerism is such a boring theme and we don’t need it in every single piece of Christmas media. But yeah even with all my issues, I still love this episode and it’s always been one of my favorites
Glee, Actually - So I lowkey thought I hated this episode but I watched it today and it was pretty good?? I LOVE the Klaine + Burt plot. Jake and Puck are probably my second favorite plot. Then maybe Artie’s dream sequence, then the stuff with Sue and Marley and Millie. And then the Bram nonsense is dead ass last. That’s the only part I really didn’t enjoy, but even then some of it is funny. Also I hate Sue making a hundred fat jokes about Marley’s mom. Like it’s not funny, it’s not clever, can we please stop?? Also the songs are hit or miss for me. It’s my least favorite Christmas Klaine duet but I still like it. I like the Puckerman duet, and the group number at the end. Also Marley’s number is nice, just bc she has such a nice voice. Overall it’s my least favorite Christmas ep but it’s not bad
Previously Unaired Christmas - Yeah sorry I love this one lmao. I mean it’s third on my list but still. It’s technically not canon (tho I wanna pick and choose on that) so it can get as cracky as it wants. Like I know it’s delving into parody territory but there’s still some dumb jokes I roll my eyes at. Like “shut up Blaine”, Kitty being extra racist, and Santana making more jabs about Kurt being a woman than usual. Also Becky is the cringiest she’s ever been and I don’t like how they treated her in the later seasons. But anyway. Everything in NY is gold. The Kurtana, the Pezberry, the Kurtcheltana. All of them dressed as elves. I don’t even care about the Chipmunk Song bc they’re so cute and I love seeing them being drunk and silly. The two Tina/Marley/Unique numbers sound really good and they look great during them. Also I really like Kitty’s plot this ep, idk why. The Christmas tree competition is whatever, but I don’t know. There’s like no stakes and nothing matters but it’s just a fun episode. Everyone is giving it their all and at least they’re having fun with being more campy than usual
