I don't know WHAT possessed me, but I'm in a mini writing contest with an ol' pal of mine. And I'm toast.
It's a Phantom of the Opera crack fic contest, who can write the better crack-ship. Yeah, I've spent the whole first half of this thing not doing much XD I am slacking. It's almost over, and I've got the Title, and the premise. That's it. I have one week left before I have to show this thing off- I'm terrified!!
On top of that~ my computer died, so I can't watch the movie AND write this thing. I'm going to have to wing it- with my phone, and pray nobody decides to run this dinosaur over XD At least I've got a decent bluetooth keyboard.
Tl;Dr If I don't post here, It's because I procrastinated on a personal project. Wish me luck

I think alenoah is similar to aleheather in the fact that they are both great rivals to lovers' ships. While I feel like alenoah started out as perhaps a crackship of sorts, I think if it had been cannon to any extent, it wouldn't have been a bad relationship.
Just like aleheather, I feel like it would be entertaining to see how Noah and Alejandros' relationship would grow, especially if Noah had been kept in the game after the I See London... episode. I feel like Noah would would try and convince the rest of Team Chris is Really Hot that Alejandro is bad news, but would fail for the most part, only having Owen somewhat believe him. I feel like the dynamic between Alejandro and Noah would be interesting if Noah continuously failed to convince his other teammates that Alejandro couldn't be trusted.
We could be given many comical scenarios of Noah failing to convince other contestants and Alejandro teasing him for failing. I feel like their dynamic would be similar to Alejandro and Heathers, with the distrust and flirting. Overall, it wouldn't be too different from Aleheathers dynamic, besides the fact that Noah isn't as "villainous" as Heather, so that's a difference that could possibly make the relationship better and maybe move it along quicker? (I don't think it'd harm the relationship any, perhaps they'd get together sooner than Alejandro and Heather though)
Now I don't know where Noah would be eliminated if he wasn't Eliminated in the I See London... episode. I feel like maybe instead of not eliminating him, we bring him back for merge instead of Blainley. (No offense to Blainley lovers, but she was very much, in my opinion, a filler character.) For obvious reasons (aka Heather deserved to win.) Noah wouldn't make it to the final two, maybe final four? (Perhaps replacing Sierra?) Honestly, I'm not too sure.
Personally I like this ship, and it is my favorite out of all Canon and non-canon total drama ships. I'm not sure why it's so appealing to me, but it is my favorite, so perhaps I'm slightly biased. But looking at it from a purely analytical view, I don't think the ship is bad in the slightest and would rate it a good 8.9/10
(ALSO NEMMA, ALENOAH, NOCO, AND ANY OTHER NOAH SHIPS THAT PEOPLE ARGUE OVER... CANT WE JUST ALL KISS AND BE CHILL?? thank you for reading this bs 💕)

max i am so glad someone else also hates when people call ships like faberry and blam crackships. it is baffling to me how people will call ships that are both popular and have backing (that ranges from moments that could be read as gay to literally banging in the case of quinntana) crackships –hevanderson
FOR REAL thank you Austen, I salvage my sanity by coming on here to whine and moan to my fellow Glumblr bloggers who Get It tbh. Unfortunately I think some people misuse the term to mean anything that's not explicitly canon; Tumblr user sopheadraws informed me that, apparently, over on Glee Instagram, they use the term "crackship" to mean any non-canon ship (which isn't right, but I understand how the term's meaning is gonna fluctuate as it disseminates through different sites - language be like that).
Also the person I vagueposted about didn't even know Rachel x Quinn was a ship that existed in the fandom lol 😭?? I mean no hate, I was just surprised? Granted, I was around during Ye Olde Glee Days when Faberry was winning first place on official Glee ship contests and whatnot, so idk what it's like for Renaissance Gleeks.

Fans of raincodes and ships, that's right. Submissions are now open for the Raincode Shipping Tourney! They will be open until November 11th. Now, let's lay down some rules and info before you submit any ships.
This will be a 16 contestant bracket. Only the ones that I have the most submissions for will make it in!
You can submit as many different ships as you'd like. Just. Please don't spam me with the same ship. Please.....
Please send photo propaganda through the ask box. I don't want links. Scary... also, on that topic, I will not accept propaganda in the submission form that is a link. You can write as little or as much as you want, just no links.
Because I was asked, let me explain better! I will accept fanart, screenshots, official art, and even memes via the ask box. If you are using fanart I would like the artist's name and their consent to use the art.
You can submit any ship you want. I don't care. Mlm? Sure. Het? Mhm. Wlw? Yep. Crackship? Be my guest. Oc x Canon? Go ahead! Just keep in mind ships get into the bracket via how many submissions they get in total. Also, they HAVE to have at least 1 canon Raincode character to be accepted.
No anti-propaganda or being an asshole to people over this. This is just a funny little tournament thingie. Okay. Please
Characters will be permitted to be in only 3 ships in the tournament. That way we don't just have Yuma X Every Character or smth as a tournament lol.

Please kill the idea that Jegulus is a "new" ship.
There are Jegulus fics out there on LJ, ffnet and AO3 dating all the way to the very early 00's. It stopped being a crackship way back in 2014-16. When I came across Lady Elena's Jegulus works back in 2016 it already had a very decent-sized fandom.
The recent tiktok hype affected not only Jegulus, but the popularity of the Marauders fandom in general. The amount of Jily works out there is still incomparable to the very little Jegulus has, and most canon-compliant or canon-divergent Jegulus works still include Jily in their stories at some point.
This isn't a popularity contest, being bitter about Jegulus when Jily is literally CANON is like hating on Wolfstar in favour of Remadora. Block out the tags if you don't want to see it.

Here; we will be seing which crackship is the best, and because that statement is vague, you get to make your opinion!
But how do we choose the crackships? We'll i've got the answer for you!
You can send request in the inbox for as many mcyters (and mcyt characters too) as you want, they can be well known or small creators (the nichest the best), as long as they are mostly mcyt, they're good to go!
Once we have enough participants, the crackships will be made randomly, pairing your fav (mostly) without any of our personal bias!
If some Mcyters are requested a lot, they might get shipped multiple times, but here we seek diversity so go nuts!
Finaly, this is all in good fun and made for the giggles, please dont just vote for the ships with your favs in them and please do be inspired by them!
