Where was he hiding those broad shoulders and all that muscle before? How did he make all of us believe he was just another silly twinky anime man?

Listen to me: it's all about the jacket.

The creators of Tristamp have talked extensively in the past about how they changed the design of Vash's jacket and had him wear it unzipped to reflect the fact that this is a more "open" Vash. But for all his openness, he's still hiding.

See, the jacket dwarfs him. It's this big billowing piece of fabric that manages to hang on his massive frame and make him look much smaller than he is. And that's on purpose. Vash wants to look smaller. He wants to be perceived as less threatening.

Because even with his nice eyes and soft voice, if he walked into a town looking like this, with all his strength on full display, people could still perceive him as a threat, even slightly. Vash plays up how harmless he is all the time, as we saw in episode 1. It's kinda his thing. So it would make sense for it to extend to his physical presentation as well.

There's something we have to remember about Vash. He doesn't want to be dangerous. It's a part of himself he doesn't like looking at or acknowledging. Hiding behind his coat, hiding the physical markers of how "dangerous" he could be, is all part of that.

and he thought HE was second-stringing? I mean, it's pretty obvious from his reaction to the SandBoeing kiss that he lost right then and there BEFORE he even got to kiss Sand. I mean, yes I get it. First of all, he doesn't see his kiss with Sand from an outside perspective and he's already low on self-esteem (which I can relate to, not gonna lie so again, I get it)

Interesting enough. Boeing had the same expression.

HOWEVER idk if it's just me, but everyone and their mother can see that the SandRay kiss was so much more than the SandBoeing kiss. The way they already go for it is so different to the hands on the neck to the change of positions and just everything. So why on earth did Ray think he was second-stringing and losing this "competition". I mean yes, Sand didn't answer the question when Ray asked him if he still loved Boeing but I guess if I was in Sand's shoes I'd be feeling all sorts of things if my ex is suddenly appearing out of nowhere. Ray told him to kiss Boeing to find out if he still loves him and he also got a kiss in return for the same reason so again, everyone and their mother can tell that Sand kissing Ray was a million times more meaningful than the one he had with Boeing. The angry kiss between Ray and Boeing had more chemistry.

(now I wanna see him do this with Ray) But anyway, I'm getting off-topic but I just thought it was interesting that Ray is really that low on self-esteem to think right away that he's second-stringing. I get why Sand was angry and I also get why Ray was angry and they had the fight. Ray is just scared. I get it. He finally found ONE person on this entire planet who is good to him (which is already sad in its own way) and now even that is going to shambles in his thought process. Well, at least Sand went to him to talk it out and apologise because let's be real, without throwing shade (I am throwing shade), Sand is the only one who goes to apologise right after he did or said something he feels like apologising for. He also did it in the cutest way possible. I am biased, I'm not gonna deny that but yeah. Just my 2 cents here. This post serves no purpose in the end I guess. I got side-tracked lol. I'm still processing that last episode and the fact that it's over. Edit: I would like to add that I'm aware of Ray's insecurities and I'm in no way posting this as a negative thing. I just thought it was interesting given my reaction I had when he said that. I wanted to crawl into my computer and slap some sense into him and tell him to not lose the best thing that has happened to him.

. . . misty and I'm slightly embarrassed by that. but just, the moment I saw her character (especially teen misty) I felt so seen. I was like "holy fuck, that's me." because my entire life I've always felt left out and like people don't really like me, so I overcompensate by trying to be as helpful as possible (even if I get in the way). then even when I try to help, and think "oh, they might like me," I go and do something that makes me sure they hate me.

I also feel like everyone sees me as weird and annoying. sometimes I wonder if people find it like a chore to hang out with me, and if I get rejected I take it very deeply. even if it's something stupid like "oh sorry, I can't hang out this week."

so when she destroyed that black box, because she was finally wanted by everyone I was like, I get you girl, that's so something I'd do. because I get it. there's this group I used to desperately want to be a part of, but I was always like this outsider. they didn't see me as "them" so I was always just there. I hated it. I really did. if I had crashed with them, and I was the only medical person on call, I'd so pull a misty.

I also overshare A LOT. I'm awkward, I don't understand why people might dislike me, I can be annoying. I have hobbies that I obsess over and talk about non stop (her being a detective, me loving yj) and I just totally understand her.

also, I lose friendships ALL the time because I say the wrong thing. (of course, I don't accidentally get them killed afterwards like her, but they're dead to me and I have to mourn the loss, so it's sort of similar).

anyways, this turned into a really long ramble, so basically, whenever I see misty on screen I just wanna give her a hug. it's like seeing a younger version of me.

I hate how much I see myself in her, because let's be real, you don't really want to see yourself in any of the yj girls, but her most of all. so, yeah, I can't help it. is it embarrassing? yes. but am I working on it? god I hope so.

Please kill the idea that Jegulus is a "new" ship.

There are Jegulus fics out there on LJ, ffnet and AO3 dating all the way to the very early 00's. It stopped being a crackship way back in 2014-16. When I came across Lady Elena's Jegulus works back in 2016 it already had a very decent-sized fandom.

The recent tiktok hype affected not only Jegulus, but the popularity of the Marauders fandom in general. The amount of Jily works out there is still incomparable to the very little Jegulus has, and most canon-compliant or canon-divergent Jegulus works still include Jily in their stories at some point.

This isn't a popularity contest, being bitter about Jegulus when Jily is literally CANON is like hating on Wolfstar in favour of Remadora. Block out the tags if you don't want to see it.

Greatest ship name award really goes to punkflower bc its very cute, but also makes me think of a multi colored rose with thorns and its amazing.

Hey guys, I know that you all have been waiting for the next chapter of Faster Than a Hairpin Trigger, but I have been dealing with some health issues that unfortunately have gotten worse as opposed to better. I really don’t know when I will be back, but I just wanted to let you all know. I truly appreciate all of the support you guys have shown me, and I promise that this story isn’t being abandoned, it just deserves better than I can offer at the moment.

Once Upon a Time in Hopeland is my hands down my FAVORITE episode of Tristamp. And my favorite sequence is the really trippy psychedelic experimentation scene.

The wacky colors, the eerie music, the absolutely haunting sound of child Wolfwood panting in pain come together so so so well. We're at once getting the horror of his situation and the unreality of it without dipping too far into gore.

The abrupt transition from 2D to 3D hits so hard. It draws a really stark line between the softness of his childhood world and the brutality of this his current one where he's both physically and metaphorically been forced to grow up too quickly.

Also note how this shots of Wolfwood's face are mirrored before and after the experiments. I love me a good parallel.

Actually, we do get a bit of gore and it's all the more haunting and disturbing for the fact that we only get a small glimpse. The way Wolfwood's body is outlined in blood sprays is just...horrifying. Imagining what must have happened as his body broke and shifted too quickly is almost worse than actually seeing it.

I finally got around to watch the MATZ behind the scenes recording video and my gosh mad respect for Hongjoong. No wonder he's one of my faves. The amount of blood and sweat he puts into his work is incredible. Working day and night, between schedules, in hotel rooms, in the middle of the night, every possible moment. I could never. I'm happy to drop to bed at 10pm after work because I'm exhausted and here is this guy coming home after probably working for 14 hours and then go produce songs in the middle of the night. Such an incredible person. I wish I had that drive. Also the fact that he's so humble about his talent and skills and the way he tries to guide and push others (in this case Hwa) to do their own thing and just have fun with it. Also the fact that he listens to Hwa's wishes and I'm sure to everyone else's ideas and wishes and tries to incorporate it into his producing, I love this man. What an incredible human being. No wonder this song has been my favourite on the album. The hard work was worth it. Hongjoong is such an inspiration. He deserves the world. 🖤💜
