Why the jester being the secret son of King Klaus would have been a good twist: a compilation of circumstancial evidence
the king is said to be haunted by the ghosts of the dead. His first wife. His second wife. His brother. He cannot let go of the past and keeps tormenting himself by projecting the dead onto the living.
2. blue eyes are seen as an indicator that someone is royal. Clear blue eyes like the sea. The king has them. The first princess Varona has them, the second princess Lux has them, the rumored bastard prince Fanton has them. And who else has them? The only character with blue eyes who is not part of the royal family? That's right. The court jester. (I also find the paneling very interesting as it focuses on the jesters reaction when the message about a prince who has been secretly living on the palace grounds is being read aloud.) - chapter 51
It is implied that Fanton might be a pretender to the throne. Wouldn't it have been hilarious if there had been indeed a secret heir and this boy has been living right under the princess' nose enjoying her protection and affections? That princess Varona has been agonizing over the wrong person the entire time when the real threat has been by her side all along?
3. the Jester, princess Varona and the late king Klaus look alot like each other
do I even need to elaborate. Other readers have said that the princess and the jester look alot like siblings.
4. The king's hallucination. In chapter 19 the king had locked himself up in his room and has been smoking bokhwa seeds (a foreign drug). The consumption of the drug caused him to experience nightmares and auditory hallucinations. He asks the jester if he can hear the screams of soldiers dying. What was the king hearing? Could it possibly have been a memory of the night when he staged the coup d'etat to dispose of King Klaus?
The jester asks him if he had an unpleasant dream and worries about his health since the King had been using drugs. To this the king answers: "You sound just like him." The jester assumes the king was talking about the prime minister but what if he wasn't? Couldn't this scene have felt familiar to him? - chapter 19
5. the scene where the King runs away from Lux because he sees his dead wife in her and then turns around the corner, almost running into the jester and he has a look of pure horror on his face. - chapter 22
6. we know nothing about his parents. the protagonist himself confesses that he was never curious about them since his mind was preoccupied with finding ways to survive in the harsh environment of the orphanage he was raised in.
what we do know is that a nobleman took a shine to him and acted as a father figure. ("as for a father I suppose I had some of sorts"). It is highly unlikely that an aristocrat would take in a dirty orphan boy without having any ulterior motives. If the nobleman knew about mc's identity as the King's trueborn son it would serve as a logical explanation why someone like him took in a homeless child. He either did this to protect him following the King's orders or to use him once has grown up. - chapter 47
but something must have went wrong. The aristocrat died and mc became the court jester.
7. The protagonist is said to be the court jester that the king adores so much, yet the king calls him to his side and makes him perform tricks for him for hours. He doesn't care if the jester gets hurt, with a cruel smile on his lips he demands the jester to continue juggling knives while he is bleeding. Granted the king is occasionally cruel to servants (throwing objects at them when he is in a terrible mood but he seems to have been the cruelest to the jester.) - chapter 2
Presuming that the protagonist had been the previous king's son this would certainly explain the abuse and humilation. Making the surviving son of king Klaus a jester could have also been a petty form of revenge.

Scourge Aasimar, please?
Since I can't remember which one I put in the poll, since I had two, I'll detail both of them here.
Gil Galad - Divine Soul Sorceradin. He's probably the character I've played for the longest at this point, but level ups are kinda slow in that campaign, so he's not the strongest. Backstory is that he is the eldest son/heir of a high-ish ranking noble house that also had ties to the religious authorities due to their lineage going back to a well known prophet in that world.
Basically a coup d'etat happened and most of the Royal family was slain, leaving only the teenage princess alive of the main house. Her adopted siblings got kidnapped by some Witch that's part of a cult and we have yet to find them.
Basic plot is that we managed to escape the capitol, flee to the countryside and acquire a few allies along the way. We also found the ghost of an ancient Elven noble who temporarily killed one of the party members because the Wizard decided to shoot his mouth off and offend him. So in exchange for him bringing our friend back and information, I gave him temporary residence in my body, which actually ended up coming in handy a few times.
After that escapade, we got enough allies and went to war, managed to oust the false King (who was the previous King's brother) and place the Princess on the throne.
At that point, a few characters swapped out due to their stories ending, and Gil became Paperwork man during downtime. As of the current moment, we're doing some things to combat some nobles who are trying to make a power play because the new queen is, as I mentioned earlier, a teenager who was relatively sheltered.
But anyway, here was the Party Gil functioned as the pseudo leader of/part time babysitter: (If I don't note race, they're human)
James - Palace Guard who escorted the Princess to safety during the original coup, stayed with us after that. Relatively sane and effective on the battlefield.
Bellatrix - Traveling Oath of Conquest Paladin who was sent by her order to help us. Also one of the more sane members.
Viren - Elven Ambassador who is an Aberrant Mind Sorcerer, somehow gained Shapeshifting powers, which led to us suspecting him as a Cult plant. Primary other Spellcaster.
Ignatius - Cleric(Don't know Domain) and Storm Sorcerer hybrid. He was a bit on the trigger happy side when it came to making plans for battle/solving issues.
Masare - Resident Problem Child Wizard. Had an adopted kid and was a disgraced general from a nearby nation. The issue was that he had a tendency to leap into battle/hostilities without looking first.
The campaign is still ongoing and the other thing of note is that we managed to kill a CR 15 monster while being level 7. So that makes Gil one of my luckier characters.
Setanta Ulster - Path of the Beast Barbarian. Started existence in my head as a way to try and build Cu Chulainn of Irish Myth.
He was a kid who got cursed into a were-thing by a wandering Fae and was sent by his parents to live at a local monastery dedicated to the dual gods of creation and destruction of the setting (They're Dragons), so when they got his curse under control, the beast form became more Draconic in nature. His reason for being there was he traveled out from the monastery for the first time since he got dropped off there and went South to the Wizard City.
First few sessions, we went searching for a large Orc tribe that was supposedly wandering nearby. When we met them, they were relatively peaceful and just wanted to pass by. And when we went back to the city, we got asked by a member of the Wizard Council, the one who specialized in the school of Enchantment, to lie and say they were going to attack the city.
Setanta was having none of it, and tried to call the High Enchanter on his BS in front of the entire council, and got mind whammied before he could finish speaking. Magic was not supposed to work in the council chamber, so that was a lie.
So then the High Enchanter attempted to get me thrown in prison in revenge and managed to get the party declared outlaws. We then ran around, tried and failed to stop a kidnapping, and then the Campaign went on hiatus. Maybe one day we'll continue it, at least that's my hope.

Random DP headcanons in no particular order
I'm tired and got pains hitting me so I couldn't be bothered to organize this. I'll get a better sorted collection up on my neocities website eventually. These are my headcanons and they may contradict canon oops. Also I don't really keep up with a lot of fanon sorry.
-Ok just gonna get all The Gender ones out of the way first. Danny and Vlad are trans men, Sam is bigender, Dani is a demigirl, and Johnny 13 is a he/him lesbian.
-Danny and Valerie are bi, Tucker is ace, and Sam is pan. Vlad and Jack are both bi, and they and Maddie are polyamorous (but not all together. Yet). Jazz is aroace. Star is a lesbian. Johnny 13 and Kitty are lesbians.
-Paulina is a bit of a film buff and I think she would go to film school after high school and judges film bros for not watching a single Barbie movie.
-Star and Dash are cousins
-Tucker has a website where he reviews tech products he's never bought and video games he's never played/completed.
-The ghost zone is kind of like purgatory but also kind of not. It's where ghosts spend the afterlife, but they can fully leave once they've resolved any unfinished business they have. Places in the ghost zone where ghosts reside (like Pariah's castle or Sidney's mirror dimension) are created upon death, so everyone has their own little spot.
-Danny and Vlad don't have fully formed places in the zone. They're more like empty lots reserved for them when they fully die.
-Dani doesn't have a spot of their own, so instead they took Danny's space and built a little Lost Boys style hideaway.
-The "ecto acne" was really just blisters from severe burns Vlad sustained after his portal accident.
-Danny and Vlad only survived their respective accidents because of their exposure to ectoplasm radiation. Although Vlad had much less exposure at the time of his incident, but that's ok since the 80's portal was much smaller. Danny on the other hand has been exposed to it pretty much all his life, so he was able to survive the full sized portal.
Ok, under the cut I'm gonna go into my thoughts about how most of Danny's enemies died. I won't be including Bertrand, Skulker, Clockwork, Boxlunch, Vortex, Amorpho, Undergrowth, Pandora, or Nocturn because I either think of them as a different kind of ghost, spirits In Charge of something, or in Boxlunch's case: never alive to begin with. I'm also not including Freakshow because he's still alive, nor am I including his ghosts because outside of their designs, they have no personality.
Content Warning: Since I am talking about death, this section will probably get pretty dark for some readers. If you are sensitive to discussion of suicide, murder, death from illness, or death by some kind of disaster, then I would advise you to not open it.
I don't really have a lot in terms of explanation for a lot of these, so I'm just gonna list them as Ghost: Cause of Death.

The club was already packed by the time my shift started. I could feel the presence of the loud music and bass pass through me like a ghost taking possession of its host. The neon lights were moving, flashing and zipping around and across the place in a frenzy. People were dancing, grinding against each other and making out while others already crowded the bar waiting for their drinks and to be attended to.
Show time.
"Hi, welcome to The Coup d'Etat. What can I do for you?" I smiled at the group of ladies waiting at the bar.
"Hi, can you open up a bar tab for us?" one of them, a brunette, asked, nodding towards her friends, who were drooling at the sight of me - nothing new.
"Sure. Will you be paying in cash or card?"
"Cash, we're splitting the bill."
"Okay, what would you like for your tab?"
"Soju will be fine. Thanks."
I took out a tray and some glasses before striding over to the fridge to collect the soju. After filling the bucket with ice, and placing the bottles of soju inside, I placed the bucket into the tray and pushed it toward the customers. "Here you go. Let me know when you want to close your tab."
"Sure thing."
They left for their booth, but not before one of them winked at me.
As I was about to move on to the next batch of customers, I bumped into a blonde woman who, from the looks of it, was in a rush to get to wherever she wanted to go.
"I'm so sorry." She apologized with a bow until she had a good look at me. "Hey, you must be the new guy GD told me about. The guy I'm supposed to monitor during my shift."
I quirked an eyebrow, "Sounds like your boss doesn't trust me."
She waved her hand, "He does that to every new employee. Heck! He did that to me when I first started working here. I'm Chaeyoung, by the way." She stuck out her hand towards me.
I shook her hand. "Ollie."
"Well, Ollie. Normally, I would train you on what to do and how to handle the POS system, but it seems like you know your way around it. So, I'll serve the tables while you handle things here at the bar. Sound good?"
"Sure thing."
The rest of the evening was pretty much uneventful aside from tending to the customers. Chaeyoung was anywhere and everywhere, taking orders, clearing the tables, and checking on the customers while also helping me at the bar when need be. I was pretty much accustomed to the nightlife in the club; watching people dance and have the time of their life, the music, the lights (and thank God the ventilation in the club was good).
"You okay there?" I asked the blonde who was leaning against the bar and groaned.
"I'm just glad that I can rest for a bit." She said. "Why do the weekends always be so damn busy?"
"Well, a lot of people like to spend their weekends going to clubs and bars, especially college and university kids," I said. "Besides, more people. More tips."
She groaned again. "And the fact that I'm a broke uni kid is not doing me any favours."
"Well, I wouldn't know since I'm not a uni kid."
She looked at me confused. "Did you drop out?"
"Nope. I never went to college or university after I graduated high school. Went straight to the military and left two years later."
"How old are you?"
"Thirty."
"Holy shit!" her eyebrows flew up. "You're old."
"Hey, I'm not that old." I frowned. "Gosh. What is up with you kids and thinking thirty is old."
"That's literally the age to already be married and have kids."
"Yet your generation is already getting married and having kids at eighteen."
She opened her mouth to retort, but no sound or syllable left her mouth. I chuckled at her reaction, knowing that she knew I was right.
"Anyway!" she changed the subject. "Where are you from? You don't sound like you're here. Not to forget, you look way too exotic to be Korean."
"I'm Chinese, but I grew up in Australia."
"Oh, my God! You're an Aussie!" she squealed, switching to English with a strong Aussie accent.
I chuckled. "Yes, I'm an Aussie."
"Chris and Felix are going to be so hyped when I tell him we have another Aussie on the team."
"How many are there."
"It's just the three of us. Other foreigners work here, but either way, it's good to meet another foreigner. Us foreigner folks gotta stick together, am I right?"
I hummed, conceding with her statement.
Suddenly the music stopped, and the lights turned. My eyes found the stage where the DJ booth was. I saw smoke lurking around the stage and blending with the deep blue neon lights until a song with a fusion of moombahton and Latin trap music started playing. Eight feminine figures emerged and walked up to the stage and stood in line, four standing across from each other as though they made a path for someone.
The spotlight shined on the ninth dancer, a dark-haired woman whose hair was just above her shoulders and her bangs covering her forehead. She wore a white crop top with crystal tinsels along with a pair of denim shorts with a glitter belt around her waist and a pair of white glitter knee-high combat boots.
My eyes were focused on her as she walked up to the centre of the stage, and her dancers broke their formation. The way her body movement was in synch with the rhythm of the song. The expressions she made while she danced. Everyone's attention was on her and her alone.
"That's Lisa." Chaeyoung's voice broke me out of whatever spelt that woman had put me under.
I looked at her.
"The girl you're staring at." She clarified. "Her name is Lisa. She's one of the dancers here, and people pay a lot of money to see her perform, let alone give them a private performance in one of our VIP lounges. She's pretty good, ain't she?"
I turned my gaze back to the dancer. "I'm no dance guru since I can't dance to save my life, but she's pretty good, I guess."
"Oof! Don't say that in her presence, though. She will make sure you'll change that statement from pretty good to pretty amazing." She playfully bumped her shoulder against mine. "But she's pretty chill when she's off stage. A little mischievous but pretty chill."
I hummed, making no comment. Not that I needed to anyway. I did consider Chaeyoung's comment about this girl, but I decided to push it aside and not dwell much on it. It wasn't like I was going to see her outside of work, let alone talk to her. It was probably better that way.

Time, time is an assassin that sneaks behind us and stabs us with realizations of how behind we are from what we thought where and how we should be.
But who made the rules? Who in their right mind put themselves on a pedestal and dictates to the masses that this is what everyone should become and when, knowing the many variables and random (but not so random) incidents that leads one thing to another?
Splicing ourselves into a million pieces just to please invisible ghosts that was born out of necessity that might or might not be necessary in the first place, but then staged a coup d'etat inside our mind just because there's a certain demand of how we should or shouldn't be, and when.
Maybe one day we would realize of how futile everything is, of how meaningless all these struggles are, and how maybe we should just surrender to what we've become. I don't know, to be honest. Words betrays and thoughts deluded us.
All I know is that when the sun is high, I feel it's warmth. And there's no place better than here, and now, with you.

Everything we know about the Strange Incident of the Ghost Songs on Spotify:
1. Several previously-unreleased songs appeared on GHOST's official Spotify account.
2. The current songs up that everyone can see are Broadcast Illusion, Colorbars, Insecta Apostate and Coup D'Etat. As of now, everyone or mostly everyone can see them, but before, from approximately 4:30 PM MST to around 7-8 hours ago, it was incredibly variable who could see what. Some people could see Coup D'Etat, Colorbars and Broadcast Illusion, some people could only see Broadcast Illusion, and some people saw nothing. Nobody I spoke to saw Insecta Apostate at that time.
3. The cover art for each song is heavily edited. Broadcast Illusion depicts the 'clean' PV art, zoomed in, heavily distorted with colorbar eyes behind a mask of low-transparency static.
Colorbars depicts the 'clean' PV art, darkened and desaturated heavily, with one eye highlighted and several lines of neon-static tears (or perhaps gore) dripping from one eye.
Coup D'Etat depicts the PV art, with saturation boosted and patches of an airbrushed red substance, perhaps meant to be blood, on various objects in the scene.
Insecta Apostate depicts the PV art, with Luke & Epta's faces scribbled out.
4. The newly-uploaded songs have an Indiefy record label. Contrast this with Aura, which does not. I would like to highlight this, as it seems it hasn't been discussed yet.
5. All track audio is very similar, if not the same as, the original tracks on YouTube. There is minimal compression issues, and no separately-uploaded instrumentals for songs with vocal tracks.
6. There has been no community post from GHOST regarding this as of now.
