How would Orca!Eclipse react to dyed hair- as in a really unnatural color. Would he think it's just unique markings or would he realize it's artificial? If he thinks it's natural, would he think the color fading and/or growing out would signal changes in health or adaptation to the environment?
He would find it extremely strange as all the other humans he'd encountered, as far as he could tell, had natural hair colors so yours being dyed would be so otherworldly and beautiful to him. He'd love to stroke the strands and pet your head. He would believe it's natural until you either explain or he sees the roots growing out and asks you why you're changing colors!

I am so lost trying piece together information about weaving so I can just make two kitchen towels on this loom.
Does anyone have a very understandable beginner walk through for doing so with the thread I picked up yesterday?
I just wanted to make two 1yd towels and I measured my WPI and it is 32 and I was thinking 2 colours. I estimated about 4 and a half yds of warp needed but idk what I'm doing so that's most likely wrong.
And that is about as far as I got before my head started to implode.

SUMMARY: Harry Styles loves two things: teaching ballet and racing motorcycles. Those two worlds collide when his greatest rival on the track, Louis “Tommo” Tomlinson brings his tiny siblings to Harry’s class.
MY RECOMMENDATION: I first read this fic when I first started reading fanfiction and it somehow stuck with me. A few days back, I stumbled on it again and reread it in one sitting. It made me remember just how rewarding reading a great fanfiction can be.
This is a story of overcoming your own walls, your own defences and allowing people in. It is a story about prejudice and how it can affect our lives when we live in fear.
It's absolutely perfect.

If it's ok, I was wondering something stemming from the question about YN sharing their special interest (photos) with Orca Eclipse.
If YN was able to show Eclipse all of their photos from their travels, what kinds/types would be his favorite? Would there be any places he is especially interested in?

His favorite is anything coastal/aquatic. Especially the more temperate waters where it's clear that Y/N got wet to capture the photos. If only the sea here weren't so frigid...
However, he also loves the ones you're the proudest of. He doesn't understand all the fine points of photography but it's clear you have a sharp eye for a frame and you know how to capture the essence of a land with just a snapshot.

Non-rhetorical question what have I been listening to these last weeks (when I have not been at a work conference or at a LARP or sick with this throat bug it's been a week let me tell you twitternets…)?

I checked out the @landwhalepod because of this:
It is fast-paced and witty and hilarious and I was cackling within five minutes.
Caught up with Tell no Tales: it's OK to relapse on your trauma recovery journey, Leo. It's not a straight line kinda trajectory.
I kept meaning to check out Counterbalance because we need more podcasts where anthro furry creatures are wholesome, fall out with each other and blow things up with inadvisably applied magic and I finally got around to it. Adorable! I recommend!
Well behind on Travelling Light but I got as far as the risqué song about the bees which was delightful. I love the Space Quakers. Are they Space Quakers? They seem like it.
Finally: The Heresies of Radulph Burntwine - this is very very good! I was expecting historical fiction but instead I got fantasy horror Cadfael crossed with House crossed with William of Baskerville with an impressively in-depth and wildly anachronistic(???) knowledge of medical microbiology. I exclaimed out loud when I realised one episode was starting with "Abstract" "Method" and was laid out like a research paper and also I swear one of those bonus episodes was basically Reviewer 2. I see you there fellow academic. Amazing.

Weavers and Loomers: where do you source your patterns from?
I'm not yet at the stage where I can produce my own designs and google has seemingly decided that weaving, crochet and knitting are clearly all the same term 🙄
I'm struggling to find a basic, preferably free, pattern for a hooded poncho that I can do on my 4 shaft counterbalance loom
Any help would be appreciated
