Steve Giza

Steve Giza, of Kingston PA, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023, at the age of 84.

Born on Mother’s Day May 12, 1939, in the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, Steve was the son of the late Steve and Connie Giza and was a graduate of Coughlin High School 1957 … Go Crusaders!

Steve began his work career as a journeyman at the International Color Press. He then joined the Army and reported to Fort Sill. After an honorable discharge in 1967, Steve returned to Wilkes-Barre to continue his newspaper career as a press foreman printing the Sunday edition of The Sunday Independent. In 2001, Steve retired from the Citizen’s Voice pressroom.

When Steve wasn’t working, you could find him bowling, playing baseball or slow pitch softball for various leagues throughout Wilkes-Barre and the west side. His favorite team was the New York Yankees. He was talented enough to try out for the Cleveland Indians baseball team but decided not to follow his dream of “playing ball”. Instead, he got married and lived out his love of the game by coaching his daughters’ teams for the Kingston Girls Softball league. In recent years, you could find Steve cheering on the Wyoming Valley Clutch basketball team. He would often say attending the Clutch basketball games reminded him of watching the Wilkes Barre Barons as a kid at the Kingston Armory.

Steve was good at work working, drawing, puzzles and had an eye for detail when it came to remembering stories from his childhood. Steve looked forward to his monthly meeting with his classmates from Coughlin and Marymount. It was a meeting (aka social hour for retired folks)! Up until last month, Steve served as an executive member of the Teamsters GCIU Local 137C.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother and father; sister Connie Pudlosky; goddaughter Suzanne Keller.

Steve is survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Lois Edwards; daughters, Michelle and Kim; niece, Nancy Tedik (Namik), great nieces Paige and Ali; sister-in-law, Jo-Anne Edwards; niece Debbie; nephew Paul and their families; and cousins.

A visitation for Steve is planned for Sunday, July 9 from 4 to 7pm at Hugh B Hughes & Son funeral home at 1044 Wyoming Ave, Forty Fort, PA. The funeral will be held on Monday, July 10 at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fern Knoll Cemetery in Dallas.

Big Mouth S4 Spoliers Ahead!

So I told myself I wasn't going to watch S4 all in one sitting

And well.

That was a lie.

Here our my dysfunctional and disorderly thots thoughts

• Still love connie i feel for her, she really cares about her kids and in this season she has Nick and Jesse to take care of and as she said there is alot of conflict of Interest. But I am unsure if she is still his hormone monstress or if Rick really took over.

• Lola and Jay caught me off guard and I thought it was going to be a toxic relationship but it was actaully heart warming and cute.

• Lola has abandonment problems.

• Lola also communicating with Jay about pleasure and showing him what to do was very a very healthy message and the analogy for it was epic.

• Due to their upbringing being neglected or abused or both, Jay and Lola both struggle with emotional and physical affection.

• the pillows ruined it. Fuck u motel pillows for messing with the lil raviolis.

• As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression, I really like how big mouth handles mental health and the symbolism of Tito and Kitty.

• The ending message of Anxiety and Depression not being something you can't get rid of but if managed they aren't as scary is really important and I cried a little.

• I love Missy so much, she had alot of personal growth in this season and I'm so happy that she learns to embrace herself and every part of her.

• there are times I worry about Mona's influence on Missy, she pressures her alot to do things she isn't ready for, but I think that Missy has it handled and Mona dialed back a bit.

• Missy and Jessi reunion was cute as hell! Their friendship has started to really evolve after s1 and it be nice to see Natalie again more healthy friendships yay!

• Soup and Poop friends til the end!

• Connie x Maury more plz they cute I love them

• THE FUCKING TALKING PEENUS

• How old was Michael supposed to be cuz yikes

• BUBBA BAFF PARTAY

• SHAME LIZARD
