During his first year as Commander, Cody (with Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon and Alpha) go back to Kamino for something, maybe because is under attack or for some papers, I don't know.

Anyway, while they're in Kamino Cody meet Rex, a Clone with a alleged "flaw". Cody has hear so many stories about what happened to defective clones that he can't bear it, so he goes to Alpha for help.

Rex is his little Vod and Cody is going to help him no matter what.

(This take place a couple of weeks or a moth after Cody gets his scar.)
