Happy New Year, Panda🎄✨️
HAPPY NEW YEAR ANON 🫶🫶🫶 I hope you are well, and I hope you are experiencing a lot of (safe!) merriment with yourself and your loved ones.
2023 has been an interesting year that I'm more than glad to leave behind. I came into 2023 unsure of myself and who I wanted to be as a college student, person, and writer. I thought I wanted to give up writing, but I realized that I adored writing and heavily disliked a heavy editing and release schedule 🥲 I switched majors and then started to feel happy in my college studies during 2023, which was a plus. I rediscovered myself through my romantic preferences and interests, and it reflects heavily in my writing (which I am so, so proud of).
But the one thing I'm grateful for, above all, in 2023 was the amazing support I received from all of my friends and followers (my pearls 🫶) on this blog. In no specific order:
@neon-city-dreams for being supportive of me and always being an ear to talk to whenever times get rough and I need someone to rant to
@kingmaker-a for being a great person to talk to about writing and life in general (the coolest boomer btw 😎)
@foolish-sparrow for being amazing and kind, as always, and for being yourself and making me laugh when I needed it most
@sanccharine for being themselves (and they are FABULOUS 💅) but also being my Dami co-cult leader, my proof reader for my newest series, and my rant buddy for shows/comebacks. (They're my fav btw don't tell anyone)
The above group of people (the Paladins) for being so supportive of me during school and outside of it, especially when I was thinking about quitting the blog forever. 🫶

So, when I searched Snape stan you were one of the first blogs to appear and by investigating *coughs* stalking *coughs* for a while *coughs* 15 minutes *coughs* I have decided to submit a fic idea that has been there for a while. I have absolutely no intention on writing it but I want it to be out there in the world.
It may already be, I'm not gonna lie it's pretty basic.
So I want a severitus fic where Jilly is very much alive.
Like, the war happened, but Neville is the boy who lived in this universe. Snape still works for Dumbledore as a teacher and he hates being surrounded by dunderheads all the time.
Harry on the other hand had a much better childhood than the one at the Dursleys. But there are still things.
Lily's fiery right, that translates into a bit of an anger problem when parenting because she usually doesn't have the patience for Harry's major kid fuck up's. So, controversial opinion, she beats him. Hear me out, it's the 80's, people beat their children for discipline today too, imagine what it was like in the 80's when it was actually considered a good thing.
James, on the other hand, I imagine as materialistic, always getting Harry stuff and not understanding that all Harry wants in a hug and "I am proud of you!". So, naturally he gets mad at Harry because he doesn't understand his point of view and of course Harry learns that there are consequences to not being happy all of the time.
So, we have emotional issues wrapped up in a trenchcoat pretending to be a "spoiled" 11 year old.
This mess of a person gets to Hogwarts, proceeds to gain a reputation as the class clown, because he's always happy and is really upset about it, thinking that's a bad thing.
Severus finds him crying in a hallway after his friends start calling him the class clown and comforts him.
What happens after is up to you I think.
I didn't plan this far. I was honestly thinking of Harry accidentally becoming a horcrux, by accidentally absolving the horcrux in the diary in second year. You decide how.
Personally I was thinking he was the one the diary took and when the stealing of magic began, Tom started to feel a little woozy.

Just don’t take it personally if he sets up a little space for Alice on it with some offerings of pastries and candies, he promises he only has eyes for you
He will insist on helping with the cooking, and will do his best to learn about the holiday and the customs surrounding it

The entire room is decorated with bright colors, marigolds, roses, and he has swapped his usual tea set for something more festive.
He’s also done some fuckin amazing calavera makeup and has a nice little suit and hat to match with your outfit

And did I mention he’s hypnotized some guests to celebrate with you?

Speaking of which: he has a picture of his mom and dad together where they’re both smiling and happy on the altar. There’s some whiskey for his father, wine for his mom, and candies for both of them.
There’s a few tears but he will absolutely not say anything or acknowledge it, he knows this is about celebrating the lives of people you’ve lost, not mourning them and he refuses to ruin this for you.
So, he wipes his tears and the festivities begin!
Drinking, eating, being merry!
And what’s this? The fearsome scarecrow has decided to dress up after all?! And he’s matching with you??!!!
Jonathan isn’t someone who’s known to smile and visibly enjoy things, but he was definitely smiling and enjoying celebrating this with you ❤️

gen is sad :(
why does dealing with real life make me want to vomit why can’t i live a hopeful, slightly troubled, angsty but still surfaced life. why can’t i have small blissful moments worthy of romanticizing. why is everything ahead of me bleak. i’m watching so many clocks tick down to zero. FUCK. i thought life after school and college was supposed to be more free.
ugh. anyway. i hate to announce this news but it is extremely unlikely part two of all bark and no bite will come out in june. or anytime soon. maybe i’m just being a doomer but i may have to start working full-time soon so. um. my wips will likely be put to rest if that is the case. i simply won’t have time to give them all the attention i would need in order to produce a product i’m proud of posting. (also that would completely demolish my mental and physical health but the death of my wips is more important to me)
i’m going to keep creating as long as i still can. 🥲 but i apologize if i drop off the face of the planet in a few months. bad stuff just keeps happening! and it seems like there is no way out. this is what i get for killing the clown so many times i guess

what are your favourite traits of Van's? both physically and personality wise?
awh this is a sweet question! well physically i think every part of him is just gorgeous, what's not to love?! especially his legs, hands, neck, eyes, and chest 🤒 personality wise, i like how he maintains eye contact and used to be so sweet with fans and appreciative of their support of him and the band. i always found it endearing how earnest he was about his humble beginnings and desire to connect with his audience and make his family proud. i also like his dumb sense of humor and the fine line he walks in taking pride in his work but also not taking himself too seriously. and i truly do admire the passion he puts into performing even though i clown him for it constantly 🥲

4. What show/book/movie etc. was your comfort and/or escape this year?
I think Ted Lasso was probably the most heart-warming thing I watched this year, after hesitating to start it for a long time. I also very much enjoyed getting caught in some addicting shows. My favorites were Mare of Easttown, Midnight Mass, whatever the hell The White Lotus was. Also, for incredible two days, I was 100% addicted to Squid Game, like everyone else. 🤣 It's kinda predictable and also a Battle Royale sorta rip-off, but it's SO engaging!
Also, if I say The Vampire Diaries wasn't an escape this year I'd be lying. I live and breathe that show just by how much time I spend on tumblr, talking about it and obsessing over a non-canon ship. 🥲 So. Only God can judge me.
5. What creative work are you most proud of (your own or someone else’s)?
I am very proud of the fact my birthday generated tons of amazing content! Including a fic by yourself (where's part 2, Cristy? WHERE IS IT? 😭), but I have lost the mastelist (there was a masterlist for my bday 🥲 you guys are insane for not realizing I'm a clown who doesn't deserve that, but I love yall), and it seems to be nowhere on my blog. 😭 It might have been obliterated when Ennie's blog died. 😭😭 Also, the Spookathon had some of my favorite fic reads of 2021, and I was so proud of the event! So many people joined, it was fantastic!
On a personal note, I'm proud (or more relieved, maybe) to have completed The Wolf 2 this year. 🥲 It was a journey.
7. Which character did you relate to most this year?
Honestly, Thanos. There were moments when I really wished I had the power to snap my finger and blip half the world (the right - or wrong - half).
14. What do you want to do more of next year?
Leave my apartment. 🥲 I want to travel for pleasure again, go back to planning vacations, which is something that I love. I wanna see my friends more often, which I have only started to do now, after almost two years. I want to get my shit together and read more books, cause my goodreads challenge this year was a joke.

now tell me why did i just find myself in a facebook group called "horrible liners" with this??
i was proud of it and felt good with it on me and there i was getting roasted left and right 🥲
like i know it's obvoiously not perfect and doesn't fit the "preppy cat liner" trend that most people tend to follow (which is not wrong or anything!!! it's so pretty) but really?
and it's not just my case, the group was full of people's pictures who are part of alternative subcultures like tradgoth, metalhead, scene and they were getting shit on so much :(
it really makes me sad to see how these (mostly teens/young adults) people get clowned for doing what they enjoy. and their liners were so well done and creative too?? man, come on, that's low :(
