This is so unfair. The year 1982 alone had Tron, The Thing, and The Last Unicorn - you want me to choose one from a whole decade???

Favorite movies of the 2010s?
hm! incheresting...
What We Do In The Shadows (2014) - A mockumentary about vampires living in NZ created by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi. This is a movie you could watch over and over again without ever getting tired of it. You also notice new things each time. The characters are delightful, especially Viago (played by Taika) and Stu (a literal tech man who showed up to set with ZERO acting experience, not even knowing he was going to act in the film, and as told to just play himself). The movie is mostly improv. It is in the same universe as the WWDITS TV show but the tone and humor aren’t quite the same - I prefer the film.
Boy Meets Girl (2014) - A touching story about a trans woman living in the rural south who explores her sexuality with a woman after a lifetime of only dating men. While Ricky’s friends, family, and community support her, there is some transphobia and there is discussion of her struggles with mental health. That said, it is a deeply healing piece of media and ends happily. The lead actress, Michelle Hendley, is a trans woman who had no prior acting experience. She brings a very real, very authentic performance.
Megamind (2011) - A lot of people make posts on this website like “I wish there was a movie where-” and Megamind covers a huge chunk of those. It flips the villain/hero dynamic, is very bisexual, and features the coolest boots you have ever seen.
Lovebirds (2011) - An adorable romcom featuring Rhys Darby. After his girlfriend dumps him, he discovers a wounded duck and decides to nurse it back to health. He seeks out the help of an expert at the aviary, and they fall in love. Most of the movie is Rhys carrying around this little duck in a bag like a lapdog. The entire soundtrack is Queen. There’s a sequence where he dresses up as an astronaut. There’s a lot of romcom movies, I feel, that Suck. Like... they don’t really land the romance OR the comedy, but this one does. It completely knocks it out of the park.
Ghost Shark (2013) - It’s my favorite Bad Movie after The Room (2003). Gather round, friends, and watch a spectral shark materialize in the middle of a slip-n-slide.

also ooo yeah the girls struggling to take care of their wings in Amphibia- the Plantars would be willing to help, and I’d imagine it would be a big moment for Anne to allow Sprig to help her clean or groom them. Sasha could easily get her wings hurt training with Grime’s army.
100% especially Sprig who wants to know everything about how to take care of Anne's wings, how it feels to fly, and everything inbetween. i kinda wanna draw Anne and Sprig and the first time anne lets him touch her wings cause she trusts her newfound brother enough :D
and ohhohoh sasha definitely bangs up her wings a couple times >:3

do you have a lot of worldbuilding around those OCs you mentioned?
HOLY SHIT FAM DO I
I'll start with Prizrak (Ghost) Volkov. He's my one of my first more fleshed out ocs. The setting for his story is Seattle, Washington in 2017. He was adopted by a Russian mafia don and was mute due to trauma and has selective mutism. He is a gnc cishet man to his father's disapproval. He works at his father's front that is a real estate office and helps launder money and shift numbers around because he loves computers and math. He's also a huge romantic and simps for woman very quickly and gets his heart broken like every other week.
He has mild identity issues in that he's always putting up facades and making up personalities to cater to others. He loves birds and cute things but also loves horror movies. He often pretends he's just a cute lil baby but he's actually sad and a bit fucked up with some stalker tendencies.
Eliza is my baby girl who I ended up making several versions of because she was just a made up for plot development and when I fleshed her out I couldn't live with the fact I killed her off. She was originally a premed student in 1985 in Russia and was wooed by my mafia don oc (Ghost's adopted father) and married him only to die in child birth.
So I made up a verse with a very unique story that essentially she's a different character and is younger living as a student in 1992. In this story I have a huge amount of lore based off Slavic folklore but it has many different characters from different backgrounds. She is what is known as a Liminal which is like humans, animals, or places that are more or psychic or have abilities. Those with more powerful abilities are typically known as Vedma/ki but not all use this term since it translates to witch. Then there's Twilight Knights who kept the peace between Liminals/humans and Chyerti (supernatural beings though depending on the cultural bg of the person speaking of them the term varies.)
Anyway Eliza is Twilight Knight which is a hereditary title and so are the abilities. Her bloodline is was once derived from a saint who was supposedly nephel/im and had the ability to bless and create change with words (zagovory) but they were cursed and their power curses instead of blesses. They can also channel this energy called the Unclean Force which which each generation slowly eats at them and eventually causes The Spoiling to occurs and they become an Unclean One (like a former human turned supernatural being more or less.)
She is a baby with ADHD and a very strong spirit despite knowing her curse will one day consume her. She has to keep her emotions in check or she might curse others and she can't swear because she will definitely curse someone if she does.

Maddie:
People wouldnt really imagine that she would be a doctor since she is deaf and suffers from the genertic condition of waanderburg syndrome type two. People have such a genralistic idea of people who are deaf/ hard of hearing- that they cant do anything.
Meri:
A thing that people would imagine about Meredith is that she can make candy. It is something that they do whenever she is stressed or has a friends birthday coming up.
Avery:
Avery, they are 6 foot 3 and scary looking yet they spend most of his time outta prison making glass animals and they genuienly do enjoy being calm and chill- even if they threaten to break BACK into happy trails to go see their friends [and a certain all singing all dancing prison boy]
Solstice:
People would expect Sol to be angry and upset about the team of the invinsible two. But Para really does miss fires friends and Skip somewhat blames skipselves for what happened. They do still enjoy the cold despite celci freezing para alive.
Eliza:
Eliza looks like blasting brign me to life in a hurricane. She dresses in dark clothes and looks absolutely terrifying and acts like a complete bitch yet she is absolutely soft for children and baby animals. Seriously give this girl a baby duckling and she will just sit on the floor and go "well aint you cute!". Sure she will punch people who threaten to tell people that shes a softie at heart but yeh.
Cora:
Cora is surprsingly fast for a child whose been starved for most of their growing life. Shes able to climb and run around. she is friendly but she isnt a push over. Cora knows her rights and expectations and abilities in the world.
Caitlin:
She is a seven year old who works in the bostom homicide department and has two lesbian parents. Nobody expects a seven year old to know how someone died or how to do an autposy.

Hi, friend! This was unexpected, but a very happy surprise. Thank you for asking.
I don’t have a general OC tag, but you can find my masterlist here. There you can find fandoms I have OCs for and links to them.
My favorite OC changes from day to day, but right now, I’m pretty obsessed with my new Top Gun Maverick OC, Kennedy Quinn.
The OC I’ve had the longest (on Tumblr) is for Teen Wolf, Riley Harmon. She’s the reason I got back into fanfic writing and, specifically, the OC community.
I always have little tidbits about my OCs that people don’t know. Just little bits of information, an embarrassing story, whether they prefer cats or dogs, you know, things of that nature. All you have to do is ask, though, and I’m more than happy to answer because I don’t often talk about my OCs unless prompted.

7. A film from the year my mom was born
According to my letterboxd, the only movie I’ve seen from 1967 is The Jungle Book so that’s what I’m going with
You’ve probably all seen it before but this is the classic Disney adaptation of The Jungle Book. Phil Harris as Baloo is one of the best parts of this movie. The songs are iconic. It’s great.
6. A film released before 1960
For this one, I’m going with The Night of the Hunter from 1955.
This is an incredible film with an extremely creepy villain. It tells the story of two children who happen to know where their father’s stolen fortune is. His former cell mate, a serial killer preacher, hunts them down to try and get the money for himself. I believe this film is the origin of the “LOVE - HATE” knuckle tattoos.
15. A film whose main genre is romance
If you have seen my blog lately, you would know that I have been very into Ted Lasso. One of the many traits I seem to share with Ted is a love of rom-coms and so I am picking one of those: Kate and Leopold (2001)
Kate and Leopold is a fun romantic comedy that adds some fantasy/sci-fi elements. Kate is a woman living in New York City in 2001. Her neighbour/ex-boyfriend Stuart is a physicist who accidentally pulls Leopold from 19th century New York into the present. Kate and Leopold fall in love despite the time ripple issues that then of course cause issues. It’s a great movie and it’s Hugh Jackman and Meg Ryan so how can you go wrong?
25. A box office flop
I could have chosen a few for this but I went with Hugo (2011), directed by Tumblr’s favourite director Martin Scorsese
Hugo is a really interesting film about, well, film. The casting is excellent and the special effects are incredible. However, it’s the cost of these special effects that led it to being a box office flop. They just couldn’t recoup the budget.

Penelope. I created her back in 2017, and she was just a plain ol' human back then. The mermaid incarnation of her didn't become a thing until 2019, and it didn't become the only version until I moved to to this blog in 2021.

Ghost was once a little boy named Felix, who died at seven years old during the Black Death of the 1350's.

“That’s probably going to scar.” Hunter looks up at her, shakes her- her, even half-dead there was always one more way to fuck with her, wasn’t there?- head with a crooked half-smile. “They’ll take it away, though, won’t they? They always do.”
Blood streams down her cheek and pools at the corner of her mouth. It’d been a lucky shot, Hunter’s knife swinging wide when she’d blocked a strike that might otherwise have hit a gap between armor plates; it’d been even luckier that it missed her eye. That would have figured. The others always noticed, before, when the cuts reached her face. “I might keep it. I’m tired of having things taken from me.”
“You and me both, Cipher Nine.” She can hear the wheeze buried in Hunter’s laugh. That last hit got her lung after all, then. Good. “You and me both.”
She licks her lips, then spits onto the floor. Their blood’s all over the room already- what’s a little more?
(Hunter had dreamed about it, she’d said, dreamed about tearing each other apart.
She’d dreamed of it too: every shot, every slash, every fistfall a box ticked off a list that went all the way back to Nar Shaddaa, to Taris and Hoth and Quesh, every pull at her leash and every notch her collar tightened and every time, every time, every time-

Nine’s hand spasms, fingers splayed wide and disobedient as her nerves misfire, and she thinks of Corellia, of the burns and the breaks and the shocks and her screams and of Hunter’s voice in her ear, and she lets her arm drop to her side and does not answer.
“Tell me one thing, then.” Her eyes are the same as she remembers. “Your name. The name your parents called you, the name they took from you- oh, come on-” another cough, this one bloody, veins cording in her neck. “Who’m I going to tell? I just- I just want to know.”
She sheathes her blade, rubs at her cheek with the back of her hand. Her arm’s bleeding too, and her lower back and her right thigh, but that will keep until they get back to the ship. “My name is Cipher Nine. What’s taken is gone. That girl no longer exists.”
“Me, too,” Hunter whispers. “Me, too. You and me, Cipher. We played the game right.”
“Don’t ever-” with the pistol barrel pressed against her forehead the shot barely echoes, and Hunter’s last gasping breath goes out of her as Nine whispers back- “compare yourself to me.”

Do you remember that post from summer 2019, it might have been one of your posts, imagining what Good Omens would be like as a mid-2000s show on the CW? It was like “CW Crowley and Aziraphale would look like they are in their 20s, Crowley’s introduction has him unsubtly eating an apple in his flat, and Crowley doesn’t refer to Aziraphale as ‘angel’ because that’s gay”
That sounds so familiar, and I probably did write that (or something like it). If I ever find it, I'll let you know.
