lennox inman 〄 19, hillman university sophomore

born and raised in cavalier cover, brindleton bay, lennox graduated from cavalier cove high school in the top 10 of her class. predominantly raised by her father alex and a plethora of other relatives, lennox is the definition of a daddy's girl. no one really knows the full story of lennox's mother except alex; and as he tells it to lennox, one day when lennox was 2, her mother packed a bag and left -- never to be heard from again. it's something that lennox has gone to therapy about and has chosen to let go, even though alex thinks that they should try to look for her -- for closure.

currently attending hillman on a full scholarship, lennox is majoring in biology and wants to work as an infectious disease specialist in the future. she recently concluded an internship in strangerville, something alex was extremely apprehensive about, but she enjoyed every minute of it. lennox is also active on campus as a member of 'sims 4 change', where she currently sits as the treasurer of the organization. she also wants to write a book one day, and hopes that it ends up on the san myshuno 'best sellers' list.

lennox has had a myriad of friends throughout her life, something she attributes to the absence of her mother, but the one friendship that has stayed, is her friendship with her roommate, rya. she and rya met at orientation where they learned they were roommates and have been inseparable ever since. they are technically incompatible, but most people think that they had spent their entire lives together because of how close they are. lennox is also close to taylor, whom she met at a school function dancing to 'my goodies', and sage, who took her in immediately as her little sister as part of hillman's 'mentor you, mentor me' program.

〄 lennox is a summer baby; cancer to be exact. 〄 she has one tattoo, which she got during spring fling week, much to alex's dismay. 〄 she is named after her great aunt who took care of her father. 〄 she enjoys most of the nicknames she gets, but her favorite is lenny girl -- alex's favorite. other names include len, len len, lenny, and noxy. 〄 she has never broken a bone and is extremely fearful of doing so. alex once tried to enroll her in cheerleading, and she thought that she would break her arm or leg, so she cried and begged him not to; he put her in drama club instead. 〄 she is allergic to cherries and grapes. 〄 she is ambidextrous, and you will often see her using both hands. 〄 lennox is absolutely the definition of a cry baby; she lives up to her cancer stereotype. 〄 she is a night owl, and you will usually catch her up being extremely productive between 8:00 PM and 12:00 AM. 〄 her relationship with bryce is currently in limbo, though she would like for it to remain off. 〄 she and rya have a shared love for beyonce.

The worst moon square moon beef I’ve seen is Taurus and Aquarius. Both won’t let it go like the Taurus moon thinks they’re making sense while the Aquarius moon wants to seem unbothered it’s a mess.

As far as Venus conjunct ascendant synastry…I honestly only feel the tension when I’m the ascendant. Whenever my Venus conjuncts someone’s asc it doesn’t really move me like I don’t think they’re unattractive I just don’t really gaf. Their personalities are fun because my sag Venus and mars knows they can take a joke. I think Scorpio/8th house doesn’t really care too much about looks and appearances. Blueface and Chrisean have Venus square pluto synastry. When I say they are the most exaggerated example of this synastry it’s crazy. I’ve seen this guy w his Venus square his ex’s Pluto and he looked terrible while w her and when they broke up he got hisself together. My conjunction synastry took me from wearing bold colors to black for months😭

originally, back in march 2005, cai had just signed a five year contract with revolution records with three other female(s) / nb to form the girl group that became known as D4L.

the group had a sound similar to danity kane and the pussycat dolls and stayed a group until 2010. there were differences between the members that consisted mainly over line distribution, solo promotions, and favorites being played when it came to styling and much more. among the four, two of them ( cai &&. redacted ) would go on to continue as solo artists while the others did their own thing.

cai’s solo career in the beginning was going great! by 2014, she had released 3 successful albums and featured on many magazine covers. things were looking up for her until 2015 when she was on a talk show and basically threw shade towards her ex members by referring to herself as the “more important member.”

this was just the beginning of her downfall. people would call her immature and unprofessional which would illicit some ... not so nice responses in the form of an instagram paragraph. whenever she felt like she deserved an award or a performer slot for an event, she’d rant about it on a live and basically called out the “least memorable” artist saying they lacked stage presence, or something like that. she’s ridiculous LMAOO.

not to throw in a headcanon early but literally, she started calling people industry plants first.

it was 2020 : cai decided to release a comeback album after her hiatus in music and it was a nice commercial hit! it charted at #9 on charts such as billboard but was a good return. then came her live performance and ... it was not great.

lip-syncing, barely dancing, etc etc. the entire show was a mess, and her pr manager had a field day trying to clear her name but there was no escaping this.

since then her music career has taken a major hit. not many bookings, and she’s constantly trending online for the wrong reasons. however, she does dress impress which is the best thing going for her right now.

her relationship between her and her parents are strained though it’s mainly on her mother’s side because she warned her that music “wasn’t going to get her anywhere” and is tired of seeing cai look like a fool everywhere she looks. her dad just wants his little girl happy.

huge party person !! loves getting dolled up and wasted to the point where she’s still tripping over her own feet the next morning. expect to her see her anywhere where paparazzi might be!

you can call her anything you want but you can never call her a bad dresser! her outfits are always stunning, never misses a beat with it comes to her styling.

When Victoria Monet's "On My Mama" video went viral on Twitter, all I could see was Ciara.

I grew up in (the suburbs of) Atlanta in the 2000s. Just as I started to develop a concept of "cool," crunk exploded into a mainstream sound. Three of my classmates did a dance performance to Usher's "Yeah!" at our school's annual talent show in 2004. Though I was only tangentially aware of Atlanta's hip-hop culture - I'd seen the giant Def Jam billboard off I-85 - it still felt exciting when they did the "peace up, A-town down" hand gesture. I could tell that something had shifted in the culture.

To me, Ciara seemed just as big a star as Usher. That owl-whistle hook on "Goodies" immediately triggers memories of listening to 95.5 The Beat on the way to the pool or the water park on a hot summer day. She just seemed so cool, so effortless. With Ciara, the raygun beats were the centerpiece; she just floated on top, landing hooks without ever seeming like she was trying.

That soft presence made her an ideal pop crossover in an era where Britney Spears was still the center of gravity. "Goodies" was, famously, originally pitched to Britney, and you can hear her traces in the song's simple, undulating melody, its emphasis on youth and icy, withheld sexuality. Though Ciara's signifiers were proudly regional, her outlook was much broader. She helped to make visible the flow of sound from specific hip-hop subcultures to broad, down-the-middle pop. And while she certainly wasn't the only artist doing this, the combination of the particularities of her sound and the insinuating softness of her voice feels like it laid out a roadmap to be rediscovered by modern artists.

Monet, for instance. "On My Mama" isn't as hyperspecific as "Goodies" was - it gestures at Southern hip-hop history much more broadly. She pairs the hook from Chalie Boy's "I Look Good" with horns that recall HBCU marching bands in general and "SpottieOttieDopaliscious" in particular, while covering everything in a sheen of sun-glazed funk that's pure California. But she maintains a lithe, subtle vocal presence, gliding through the song's warm mishmash of time and place. If Ciara was the embodiment of a specific scene that was ready to transcend, Monet is a manifestation of something bigger and more abstract - a feeling, a vibe, an affect. Like Ciara, she doesn't communicate the auteurist dominance of a Beyonce or Rihanna, but an old-school entertainer's eagerness to please, translating the sounds of her youth to a bigger stage.

No worries, anon! Love to talk about random things! It's a lot of fun!

Top ten books... it'll be top ten books at least of today. I could easily compile a top fifty.

Catwings series by Ursula K. Le Guin. Really simple children's stories that are some of the first books I can remember reading and are still some of my favorites.

The Hero and the Crown by Robin McKinley. A completely different heroine from so many I'd read as a young kid and she still stands out to me today. Just a beautiful comfort read.

Modaozushi by Mo Xiang Tong Xu. A much more recent entry into this list, but it has soared up to one of my favorite books of all time due to wonderful characters, beautiful complex plot and a something about it that continues to engage me after more than a year of focusing on it.

Ciara's Song by Andre Norton and Lyn McConchie. A Witch World book that is set mostly outside of the big plots, but is a story about an orphan who grows up to be happy even in the midsts of her world being at war and so much loss.

Dealing with Dragons/Calling on Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede. Two of the Enchanted Forest Chronicle books and I cannot pick one above the other. Dealing with Dragons is the funny and charming series of a princess who is utterly bored with her life and decides to go become the princess to a dragon instead. Calling on Dragons is the quest to recover a magical sword featuring a no-nonsense witch, the same princess who is now a queen, a clever magician, two cats and a rabbit who's manage to transform himself into a donkey. Makes me laugh and grin the whole time.

Corambis by Sara Monet (the last book in the Doctrine of Labyrinths series) Specifically just this one. After three books of the leads struggling to overcome the absolutely miserable upbringing they had combined with the miserable present day, they actually begin to make something of it and find some sort of peace and happiness all the while dealing with a mysterious clockwork engine that seems to be gearing up to try and kill everyone around them.

Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones. A lot of gently poking fun at typical fairy tale tropes combined with a very sassy narrator and a romance that leans into constant bickering that I actually enjoy.

The Forgotten Beasts of Eld by Patricia A. McKillip. This one I can't quite put my finger on why I love it so much other than that it is haunting. It is not the happiest of stories by any means, it is about a young woman who has lived alone with only many mystical animals called by her family who is in search of a mysterious bird called the Liralen, one of the last strange beasts not in her menagerie, while below the kingdoms seek to control her and her mysterious animals in their wars.

Deerskin by Robin McKinley. If the previous book is somewhat haunting, this one definitely is. It is a retelling of the fairytale of Deerskin/Donkeyskin/Catskin, where the fairest queen in the world dies and makes her husband promise to not marry anyone again unless they are as beautiful as her. He swears that he will not, but cannot find anyone until their daughter comes of age and resembles her mother exactly. Deerskin is a much darker take on a dark fairytale, yet there is some light and hope and it ends on a gentle note. Not a story for the faint of heart, but still one of my favorites all the same.

Sunshine by Robin McKinley. If at this point you haven't guessed that she's one of my favorite authors, then I don't know what to tell you. Sunshine is a bit of a departure from the others, it is a modern day story set in a world in which vampires and werewolves and such are real, and our protagonist is an ordinary baker who makes the mistake of traveling out on her own to a lake where she is shortly snatched away by vampires to torment an old enemy of theirs, where it turns out that Sunshine is a little more than they were prepared for. Full of lavish descriptions of food, a lot of sass and snark and a world that gives you just enough description to be starving for more.
